  Tired of Sony disappointing me and gamespot reviews!

  Just a few things. I am tired of constantly pulling for Sony and them disappointing me with the PS3. I love my PSP but my PS3 feels more and more like waste each month. Here I am almost a year after I bought it for $600 and I am still waiting for the first great game. I am hoping it will Heavenly Sword. I love the look of Lair and the controls are not as bad as this site and every other site made it sound, but it is not the first great game for the PS3. It is the best looking game for it by far. Maybe that will change tomorrow when I pick up Heavenly Sword. I do love the Blu-Ray functionality and now own about 40 movies on the format and they are awesome. The problem Is I am a gamer and in that sense I am starting to feel like I wasted my money. I am no fan boy but the PS3 is lagging far behind the 360 in games and online functionality. I really have been pulling for the PS3 but I am starting to lose my faith. 1 year into the 360 never mind that 6-8 months into it there were a handful of killer games i.e. Ghost Recon, Call of Duty 2, Condemned and all of a sudden I cant remember the name but it was awesome the game with the zombies in the mall. Anyway here I am spending money on everything that they put out for the PS3 and find myself disappointed in almost everything they put out. The ratio of me being disappointed to not being disappointed is not good. On the other hand I find myself happy almost everytime I buy a game for the 360. Bioshock and MotoGp 07 are off the hood and unfortunately mistakes of Sony execs keep these games from the PS3 platform. I am still having a problem understanding how sony who made all of these game developers who they are has a problem getting a little bit of loyalty from them. The devs at EA short change the PS3 each time. I was gonna get NHL 08 and once again the frame rate is far behind the 360. Why? Why? Why? Why? Is Sony not pushing these guys or are they counting Sony out already. Lets be clear on one thing real quick the Wii is not next Gen not by a long shot. I am still waiting for something cool for it. Maybe the gun they are putting out will help but it wont make it anymore next gen. It has been collecting dust since I had to replay RE4 just for kicks. Sad the only game I played on it over the last several months is 2 years old and the best looking game for the system (Very Next Gen). Anyway back to Sony and Microsoft. I am really pulling for Sony but they better get on the ball and figure out how to get some reall killer apps out real soon. If the PS3 was selling in Japan the way previous Playstations have then maybe I would feel better but they dont even want it. They would rather play 2 year old games on the Wii. The 360 Live is a killer app in itself. There is a situation now where games coming out fo are looking and running much better on the weaker machine (360) and when I say the games look amazing I mean they look amazing. Im tired of hearing its totally the Devs faults. Sony is approving the release of these games to us. There are signs of greatness from the PS3 Like Motorstorm and Heavenly sword. The amount of stuff going on onscreen on some the PS3 games is unparalleled like Lair and Heavenly Sword but there needs to be more, much more depth and length and maybe sony needs to redesign the controller. Its too small and slips out of my hand if I play for an extended period of time. They also need to add some weight to it maybe the rumble feature will do that. Any in closing I still have some faith in Sony but its disappearing and they need to hurry up and release a truly great multiplayer like the new socom and it better be really really good. On another note I think gamespot needs to rethink who is reviewing the games. They were way off with Warhawk and Lair. They were reversed. Warhawk is average if that and Lair is a little above average. Read my review of Warhawk and youll see what I think. Anyway thanks for reading.
