1Jul 06After the whole Halo 2 multiplayer party that lasted months died down, I stopped playing and went back to my PC roots including CS and Unreal. Going back to Halo 2, with a whole new outlook on online shooters was... different.
Back when Halo 2 was first released and someone would say there's no skill involved, I was like, "you're stupid." But now I know it's partially true. In Halo 2, if a noob has a rocket, and a pro has a SMG, the pro won't win because of his gunplay abilities, but how well he can hop over the noob, drop a plasma, or melee him.
Basically what I'm saying is that Halo 2's weapons are so balanced, gunplay skills are irrelevant. The winner is decided by movement on the map.
I guess it comes down to you cup of tea. I prefer CS because of it's strategy of how you use your weapons. You burst shot him from afar and then come close and spray. No autolock, and because of your short health it's just straight up reflexes.- Posted Jul 1, 2006 4:45 pm PT
