Well another year has almost passed since i turned 30, but nothing much has changed except the global economy. It has been a year that has seen many good people lose there jobs and fall into hard times which is sad, even my work has slowed down but I'm trying to look on the bright side in that the recession wont last forever.

In the mean time, over the past year I've been gaming allot playing allot of games I've not played much as money is short to buy new games. That is a good thing though as i got to play bio-shock and continue my long quest on fallout 3 with all the new DLC that's out for it.
I'm hoping everyone that reads this blog post is keeping well in theses hard times, but just remember one thing, stay positive and good things will happen. well that's what i think anyway.
So there it is, 1 year into my 30s has been OK at least, but my 31st will be celebrated quietly with a few friends and a mad session on rock-band, oh and allot of beer.

Well what can i say, its been a year since I've wrote in my blog, so what have i been up to. Well for the most part I've been working. I hate it but what can you do, you need to work to earn money to buy rubbish you don't need ha-ha. I have bought allot of games over the past year, Fallout3 on the 360 being my best and most played.
I recently invested in a new DSi which to my surprise is actually quite a good upgrade. The cameras on the DSi are not as bad as the Mega Pixel size says. I found out that taking pictures is really kind of fun, as you will find in the photo's below.

Itsa me Tastycaseyio.

Pretty fly for a gamer guy. (errm maybe not)
Well as you can see the DSi camera is not that bad. There is some stinky games to download like mixed messages which is totally a waste of money. Wario ware snapped is fun and makes you look stupid, just like this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lBKHJZkbl5s .
Im happy i upgraded my DSlite to a DSi, the bigger screens and better sound are worth the upgrade alone.
Well that's it. I have finally wrote in my blog again, which will probably go unread. But hey at least i tried, even though I've probably only succeeded in making myself look dumb. Oh well, TastyCaseyOUT, till next time.

Hi again, as guy from gamespot uk thought it would be cool to show off his gaming setup, i think id like to show off mine, as you will see from the pic i own all 3 systems and love them all, i have a 50" samsung HD plasma, and look at my poor little HDDVD drive on my xbox360, it doesnt get used much haha.

all my consoles run through my surround sound system, which makes the games sound excellent , COD4 sounds the nuts. I dont think my wall would would be able to take a much bigger tv as its interior timber frame wall and plaster board, or i could end up with a massive hole and a broken tv if it fell off.

Woohoo, for the first time in years, i have finally come out of the grand national weekend a winner, well only just. Me and my mate put £60 worth of bets on through the whole day and ended up winning £70, so not much of a profit but £10 is better than nothing, my share of the £10 will go towards a couple of beers woohoo.
It was a fun day all in all, made even better as we won a little, but i would of settled for getting our money back in the first place, but getting a little extra is a bonus, ohh well thats it over for another year, it wont be long till next time, and next time i wanna win big.

Yes its finnaly here, tomorrow is Grand National day, its about time i won on the dam race but to pick the winner out of 40 horses is kinda hard, but its fun just to be involved. Its about the only time of the year i ever do a bet, as me and a mate of mine will be spending £30 each, not just on that one national race but on alot of other races in the day too.
Its something i look forward to once a year, if only i could pick that horse bellow, its got to win with that jockie, even though it does look like it has a stump for a left front leg lol. ohh well im willing to lose, but as long as im up the pub while i lose its all good.
catcha later, and i might be a little richer, but i doubt it.

Hey all, im just writing to say how happy i am that nintendo have finally put some cool gifts in the Europe stars catalogue, its taken ages to get some cool stuff to spend my stars on, i had over 15000 and all i could buy before was ring-tones a pc wallpapers, but now they have updated there site and there is quite alot of cool stuff to purchase, from keyrings to t-shirts to models.
It has always been japan that gets the cool stuff but not today as i have just had delivered a Link riding Ephona gold statue, from twilight princess, it cost me all my 15000 stars but its well worth it, it was much bigger than i expected, that's why I've posted a pic to show u all.
HOW COOL IS THAT

I'm more than happy with this statue but I'm keeping it boxed as its collectible, the box is pretty cool too.
NICE

Anyhoo i just wanted to share my happiness that finally I've got something worth while from the stars catalogue, all i need to do now is buy more games to earn more stars.

I was just thinking the other day about the PS3 and PSP, like why didnt sony produce them as a basic standard gaming consoles/handhelds, instead of packing it full off internet browsers movie playback and so on when it could of been cheaper to sell it as a standard gaming console, then sell add ons like the browser or a download update so you can watch movies and upload your own pics.
Im only saying this as ive never really used any of the features on my PS3 AND PSP and feel like ive been charged for something i might not ever use, most of this stuff could of been download-able for a fee or sold in the shops as add ons, a bit like the internet browser for the DS. I just think they would of sold more PS3 systems and PSP's if most of that stuff wasn't forced on you, as they would of been extremely cheaper to buy.
The PS3 would of still been great with just the console and bluray at a cheaper price rather than full of multi media stuff that some or most people might not ever use, and it makes the console expensive, even a small hardrive in a standard cheap version of the console would be ok, because if you wanted a bigger one you could just buy it, a bit like upgrading a pc. Why have a massive hardrive if your never going to use it fully, you would be better of with a small one and a cheap console, then have the choice to make it bigger and better when you want to.
I no they are changing the PS3 in the way of the hardrive size when you buy it, but they are still phasing out the other versions which means you will still be only left with one option, and that's to buy it packed with multi media tech, even the backwards capability has been taken out, but shorly that could of been download-able for a fee if you wanted it, but now you cant have that at all, unless im wrong on that count im not shore, heck this is only my opinion anyway so im probably wrong about everything.(but that would be in your opinion
) Ohh well my rants over im off to think of another.

The reason for writing this blog entry is just to let you and anyone who might care (that might be nobody) the reason why i have a softspot for nintendo. As the proud owner of a wii and ps3 and 360, there is one company that will allways be the reason i love games, and thats nintendo. I still remember the day my parents bought me a NES, it came in a bundle with the NES R.O.B robot and the game gyromite, and also mario bros. It was a day that changed my life, as of that day i loved gaming and have been gaming ever since.
ISNT HE CUTE

MY FIRST EVER CONSOLE GAMES WITH MY NES BUNDLE
AND
I was never one to get into the fanboyism of consoles as i allso owned a sega at the same time, but the memories i have with my NES are great and enjoyable ones. The wow factor of playing games back then was so much higher than today, as gaming at that level had never been done before in a home, i remember as a kid smiling everyday i played my NES as it seemed so special and magical. I no children of this day still get exited about games and consoles but to me it was a little different to back then as there was nothing like it before, its a bit like if they invented a hover car now, and the excitement that would come from getting to own that new piece of technology thats never before been seen, thats the kind of excitement i was feeling back then. I owe a lot to nintendo for making my younger days so happy and carefree, and still making me smile today even though they are in tough competition with microsoft and sony, but in a way thats a good thing.
If a company like nintendo can survive in this day and age without jumping on the HD bandwagon then im all for it, as i no there games will be fun to play, and i no my future kids will be safe playiing them, and just to see kids faces light up when they play games reminds me of why i got into gaming in the first place. So i thank you nintendo, and here is to hoping you will still make games and consoles for years to come, as my future kids need theses types of memories too.
Well i hope i didnt bore the pants off anybody that was brave enough to read this, but its my first blog post so i had to write about something, and as we are all gamers here im shore you can connect to some of the stuff i just wrote even if you have only been into gaming for a short time.
