Colour Puzzle Games and Colour Blinded Gamers

I finally got enough free time to finish Might And Magic : Clash of Heroes, which is one of the best ds games i've ever played.

One thing that bugged me others, who don't ''suffer'' from dyschromatopsia, wouldn't notice is that in the first campaign level where you get to play as Anwen controlling the elven army is that two out of three colours the game uses (orange & green) don't differ among the core units (e.g. among bears). So the colour blinded player may face difficulties on differing orange & green units, leading to wrong decisions/moves in order to create triples (to charge).

Hopefully this happens only in the elven campaign.

This blog entry is a shout-out (probably done in the past by others as well) to game developers of puzzle games that have to do with colours, in order to include an option (colour blindness mode) in their future games, preventing this problem. Thank you.

Shoppers buying video games without having done an internet research on products

So yeah i was at the local electronics store waiting in line at the cashier to pay for my new pc's monitor. When my eyes spotted a young couple that had just chosen a video game for their weekend's/holidays entertainment, waiting right behind me. The thing is that their choice was probably based on the low price and on the ''cute-colourful looking'' dvd case or on its cheerful game description on the back of the case.

First i was excited that they were buying a game for the Wii after all i live in the province and i'd never think that it would be famous here to ages 28-35. But then i was really disappointed that casual or non gamers at all buying games aren't satisfied with quality. I have to admit i was on a dilema either to tell them about their snappy choice and show them another more worthy game on similar price but then again it was my turn to pay so i didn't give it a big thought.

What would you have done? Have you had any similar occasions? Do you think we should interfere without being asked to? Or should they learn from their mistake? (a low priced one)

Finishing this post i have to say that internet is the most trustful source for products researching in general. People should have this kind of education to use internet in a good cause in order to ease themselves.Cheers

P.S. For the record the chosen game of this story was

which comes along with terrible reviews and ratings all over the internet. I never got my hands on it, have you?
