The Dark Knight and the Doctors
Went to see The Dark Knight last night. It was freaking packed, more packed than I have ever seen out little movie theater ever be and they wouldn't let us inside to wait for the theater so we all had to stand outside in the hot humid Florida sun for at least a half an hour just to get into the theater. It was craziness out there, but let me just say that the movie more than made up for the sweaty factor.
I really like everyone in the cast, most of them are people that I would pay to go see their movies with just them by themselves but for all of them to be together is like a big Christmas present of fun. Everyone's performance was very good, but sadly it did feel like there were a few people who were underused, namely Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine and actually Christian Bale. I would have liked more of the Bruce Wayne aspect in the movie, but what can you do?
Just as good as the movie were the 3 awesome trailer we got to see, Quantom of Solace, Watchmen and Terminator: Salvation. Let me say that I have already seen these on the internet, but that is nothing like seeing them on the big screen. Watchmen in particular was most impressive.
The Doctors: First Doctor Who and the episode Turn Left. What is up with Donna and her parallel universes? Very glad for the return of Rose even though I knew she was coming back and was not surprised at all I has just so glad to see her. I had no idea what she whispered to Donna at the end, but my husband was kind enough to clue me that there were really only two words that it could be. I think that was my favorite part of the episode at the end when the Doctor was talking to Donna and figured out what was going on.
Doctor Horrible's sing along blog was very enjoyable, although it ended rather abruptly. It had so much lovable-Jossness in it how could I not love it? NPH was so funny and sympathetic as Doctor Horrible who lost what he loved to get what he desired. Loved it when Captain Hammer ran out crying from his injuries.

More Shows I'm Watching
Started watching/DVR'ing Mission Hill, Season 2 of Melrose Place on SoapNet, X-Men Cartoon on Jetix and Charlie Jade on Sci-Fi Channel. Renting My So-called Life from library.
I am most interested in Charlie Jade because I have never seen it before whereas the other shoes I am re-watching. It's about a detective who gets sucked into a parallel world from his own and he finds out that his world is trying to steal the water supply from other worlds. I think it was shot in South Africa so it had a very rich, textured filmy kinda feel to it. All I know it that it was originally on Sci-Fi Fridays at 8pm and now they are burying it on Tuesdays at 3 in the morning, which is typically Sci-Fi Channel if you ask me.
Has anyone see this show or have any opinions on it? Also really loved the newest episode of Doctor Who with the Vastha Whatever in the library. Who is Dr. River Song (or whatever her name was) and what the heck happened to Donna?!?

Romans, Swingers, Couples and Weeds.
Just started watching the new show Swingtown. It's not great by any means, but I think it has potential to develop into soapy Wisteria Lane like fun.
Watched the first season of Weeds on DVD and I enjoyed it, but I have heard that suspension of disbelief becomes more of a necessity to watch this show. I especially enjoy Kevin Nealon in this show because it's like looking at an old version of people I knew back in high school and college.
Watched the entire series of BBC's Coupling, which was a cute and funny show. I understand why there were comparisons between it and Friends/Seinfeld/and Sex and the City, but I don't think that it was nearly as funny as any of those three shows. Mostly enjoyed it because of Jack Davenport as Steve and Gina Bellman (of Jekyll) as Jane.
Finished the complete HBO show Rome and so far this was my favorite of all the new shows that I have been watching. Everyone in the cast was very good and I really liked the way that it ended.
Summer TV may not be that great be that great, but at least The Venture Brothers are back. Project Runway and Eureka will both start soon. Go Team Venture!
