I am really anticipating this game for it's online and i would like to see who is getting the game would be excellent to see everyone online!

Yeah so anyway! been a while, lots of things have happened...

most recently i applied to Rare for an internship and although I don't expect them them to accept me, at least i tried . I applied for a 3D modelling and animation internship and i passed on a bunch of my work as well as artwork in hopes that i'll be considered.

Otherwise classes have been good, been studying alot. Getting as much 3Ds max stuff crammed in as possible and need to get some C++ knowledge in too.

Now for games! Have gotten way into FF10 which has been taking up alot of time, got back into GTA 4 (kind've...) and LBP. I'm hoping i'll get some ideas sketched for a colossus 16

anyway hope everyone is good.

yeah so i entered and i hope it's good enough for some kind of recognition be it the top 100, first 100 to enter or even... the top prize? :O because that would be quite great. but yeah i wanted to share my level design with you folks so give me your honest thoughts !

Yeah so basically i'm torn apart: my girlfriend just dumped me. let's rewind back to about a month ago.

Good friend of mine who seemed like someone i would like to spend some time with, dumped her boyfriend for reasons that were quite understandable. I was obviously the shoulder to lean on but after a while she let slip that she would enjoy "someones" cuddles. Said i wish i could but i didn't want to be a rebound to which she said too bad. O.o

2 days later she came down to Brighton (both study in brighton but she lives in london for the summer) and we decide to hang out with my Friend who came from canada to visit, my sister and her boyfriend. Was having a blast and eventually everyone went to bed except for us two. she says she wants to watch a movie but as everyone in the apartment was asleep we watched it in my room. NOTE: through all this i didn't want ANYTHING to happen because i didn't want to be the rebound. After the film was done... things got "Adults only" rated. spent a great next few days with her.

Since then she (and i to a certain extent) has been saying she should spend some time alone to get her head sorted out. But at the end of the day, we couldn't resist each other.

Finally i told her that this couldn't continue and that it's either we don't see each other, or we make this official. She decided it would be official. This was 2 weeks and 3 days ago. Happy times!

today she told me she thought it would get better but it hasn't and she really needs to get her head sorted alone and that our relationship still felt weird. Dumped.

The problem with all this is i can't fault her. it had to be done and it's probably for the best. She is an amazing person and what i've been waiting for. It just hurts really... I want to wait till she gets better but can i take it? going back to a menial friendship all over again?

The feelings are mutual but it's just that past relationship thats still bugging her.

Gah...

Wow.... I would have never guessed that. I'm in utter shock. All i can hope is it doesn't get watered down to suit both versions..

Before the release of MGS4 i thought i might post my all time favorite MGS4 trailer. Even when i hadn't played any of the Metal gear solid games, i couldn't help but love this trailer and get chills down my spine... The music is what does it for me the most!

Pretty goddamn good ! liked it alot! A real mindfook if you asked me! It's 2 am here and i was forcing myself to pay the most attention possible so i don't miss anything.

Overall i think MGS1 was alot harder but thats not to say it's not difficult. Anyway I really liked the ending and it has an amazing sorry ( I know it's not a surprise to most of you so cut me some slack jack ). and i dunno if you all left the credits rolling till the end but that last convo at the end was just... WHAAAAAAAA????? makes me want to find out WTF is going on!

now the challenge is to finish MGS 3 in 4 days and IF and only IF i have the funds maybe get the game (you know THAT game...)

Oh and i blogged about my frustration at not having the thermals and having to guess the placement of the claymores. Well after dying alot a package with the Th. Goggles popped up . needless to say it was easy afterwards

OK so to explain the story i was on collegehumor.com watching a few recent videos and came across a video showing a super sick water slide built in germany that has a looping in it. Great isn't it? I clicked on it and the caption just made me sick... i couldn't believe what they put for thousands of viewers to see (this is word for word) :

" Thanks for the water slide, Germany. All is forgiven."

How dare those american punks! It was a dark moment in all of Europes history, the terrible things the Nazis did. Most germans probably want that moment to be forgotten forever and mentioning it to a german is probably taboo. germans these days have nothing to do with what happened back then. Probably a majority of germans didn't agree back then either! And of course the almighty american came at the end of the war when every country was bankrupt and saved the day! All europeans get reminded all the time by the narrow minded hick americans that they "saved our ass back in WWII!!"

What right have those editors, who have had no contact with the war whatsoever, haven't seen the horrors, the tragedies, the humiliation... and now they can say such demeaning comments to a population like they are the antichrist who has raped their family? How dare they encompass that unfortunate people who have had those humiliating events happen under their own roof, into one comment like they are all the ba$tard offspring of Hitler?

Also is the waterslide yours? is it in your country? did you buy it? did you have the idea? no? then why are you saying thank you like it was given to you as a gift?

Again i know there are alot of very good americans ( i know a few) and this applies only to the very narrowminded peoplewho don't know better and take very serious subjects very lightheartidly.

talked to my roommate about it all and we had a huge debate about it he sees something wrong but something that is not that bad,. But i see a serious problem. I won't go into it because that would take a few pages!

So here i am playing Metal gear solid 2...Just got to the part where you have to take out the guards, syphers and claymores from the walkway for emma. It would be ok but... i forgot to get the thermal goggles so i have to pretty much shoot the platforms randomly to find the claymores... after much guessing and restarts, i managed to get emma to halfway past the third platform when she walked on a claymore... thought it was only on the first platform but aparently there are some on the third platform...

Any times are extremely welcome. I am not restarting the game because i'll just be very annoyed through the whole game...

I'll never see thermal goggles the same ever again...

Alright so i was going to do a birthday blog on saturday but forgot. Was going to do it on sunday but was incapacitated so therefore i am doing it now!

I am now 20! WOOT! turned 20 this saturday. I got a Bean bag (a sexy one at that ) a poster of platoon ( best movie ever) and two DVDs. Basically went to the pub with a few friends and then proceeded to come back to my place booze a plenty and play drinking games. i basically don't remember anything past the first round... And i mean it's a blank! no bits and pieces, just everything up until midnight and then the next morning. i also found out someone had played my PS3 but couldn't remember who... Ased a friend and he said it was me and my buddy alex but that we were playing a mean game of COD4 :S . Also found out today that me and alex had pretty much had a litre of tequila to ourselves... so body count: 3 pints of kronenbourg, a pint of carlsberg, two mixes of southern comfort and sprite, a half bottle of tequila and a glass of rum and coke...my god. needless to say i'm not drinking for a few weeks... Word to the wise, don't overdo tequila.

Otherwise Finished my last exam! summer can now officially start. only problem is it didn't go well . But that module was Sh!t and we are seeing the course rep about it.

I will now be spending my time finishing the games i haven't been able to finish including DMC 3, GTA 4, MGS2, MGS3, FF7, Resistance and Uncharted. Intersperced i will be looking for a summer job and also teaching myself some C++ programming.

I also challenged myself and my roommate to give up laptops and internet for a week. we'll see how it goes!

Also have been going to blackrock studios to do some focus tests for PURE and i must say... wow. I will be buying this game. it is really ALOT of fun. Basically Tony hawks combo system meets ATV. I won't say anything more but BUY THIS GAME! I also got to talk with a few of the developers. The one i have talked to the most has been on the team for Heavenly Sword! pretty sick!

Also i finally won my battle with Dell thanks to my roommates IRON FIST OF DOOM AND DESPERATION!! he pretty much slapped them around over the phone . it was amazing. 210 pounds in the bank! But seriously I'm boycotting Dell... thats how terrible they are!

anyway I'll finish off with a props to Goblin for actually remembering my birthday even though i said it in passing and shame on you all for not remembering... even though i didn't tell you... I THOUGHT YOU LOVED ME

First up is for the second time i will be testing PURE a game being developed by blackrock studios! It's a pretty fun ATV game. but obviously i cannot say anything because i am not allowed to so no questions about that either.

Otherwise I got invited to the moderators collective union which is... cool? i guess? feels weird really... just like being invited to the bosses friday night charades evening with his family.

Failed my computer hardware exam miserably... it was questions on stuff i had never even heard of... Here i was studying the different types of buses, BIOS and stuff like that. I was hit with questions like what component is in slot 1 port 760, 450? or even stuff like what is the PHYSICAL difference between a DVD and a CD? talk about shooting yourself...

otherwise i'm at metal gear rex in MGS1 who is proving to be a tough bugger.

I also made a pile with the games that need to be finished and such before MGS 4 comes out and the total is 7: MGS1, 2 and 3, Uncharted, resistance and DMC 3. I really need to start the cramming :S

ALSO AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, THE 24TH OF MAY IS INTERNATIONAL GAMES MARATHON DAY!!! so work is not allowed and anytime spent away from a screen warrants a kick in the balls! except for me as i have a programming exam a few days after...

I just saw the Banjo 3 and i must say i'm not at all impressed... I have never played any of the banjo games but the thing that sadened me the most was to see another platformer go to the toilet. I was a HUGE fan of crash bandicoot and its gameplay. Even now i can take pleasure in going through some levels of Crash Bandicoot. Some of the level secrets were so frustraitingly hard and challenging that completing them and getting the diamond was so rewarding and worth the 15 lives i wasted on it!

I also enjoyed Conkers bad fur day which was hysterical and fun!

What happened to those franchises? Crash bandicoot is now a bad adventure game with crash of the titans, Conkers is dead(probably of alcohol poisoning), Banjo looks to be going the same way, Kirby has died peacefully... I think the only REAL platformer left is Mario...and ratchet and clank but i can hardly see the platforming part very much.

I just don't understand the need to improve on something thats amazing as it is? Why change the formula that drastically? I would kill to see an old style Crash bandicoot with new and improved levels, bigger challenges and better graphics. or even a new conkers bad fur day adventure with bigger world, better graphics but same type of gameplay.

Does anyone think the same?

NOTE: I am talking about old type of platforming, not the tomb raider type platforming

All I can say is wow. Love the final bosses, love the ending cinematic. So beautiful... It actually moved me alot, nearly shed a tear of happiness. Next time i go into it it'll be to beat sephiroth which judging by my 14 second survival last time i played him... it's going to be tough.

But seriously wow with the cinematic at the end. I didn't think it was possible on PS2. It kinda puts to shame those other titles that boast amazing cutscenes and fail to be as good as this game.

All this to say wow.

I'm going to be coming in on thursday to blackrock studios to test out their new ATV game "PURE"! I'm really excited because it is a new experience, but also that i'll be able to go hands on with a new game that noone has been exposed to... And also give them an opinion that they will (maybe) act upon

Well I have been spending alot of time on the forums having a blast flaming ignorants and hijacking stupid topics... Problem with all this is I am constantly procrastinating my projects because they are so bloody boring that any distraction is good enough so that i can avoid doing the work . the thing is now i need to get everything done so my stress can be over with and i can enjoy my favorite activities without feeling guilty. therefore I am quitting the forums... for a week or two. Like that i can get everything done.

Therefore if you see me in the forums, you are authorized to cyber kick me in the nuts and tell me to go work... for a week or so.

Constantly sending facebook videos and messages saying that the PS3 sucks. When giving him a reasoned and thought out response on why i prefer this system, only yelps out that it's unfair and that i looked that stuff up... No way...

Hell I even like the 360. Hardware problems aside I would love to own one, but seeing as money being scarce and only can choose one, I chose the one i prefer. I would accept his opinion if it was thought out and valid. It is neither. I urged him to give me a valuable response and convince me he wasn't a rabbid fanboy... response: "PS3 has no games"

well... it didn't get the pick on the hotspot i know for a fact it was better than the second winner. In fact alot of people must have had better stories. Just because someone sent a few soundclips in case they won doesn't make them a winner in my book. For those who don't know what i'm talking about, on the hotspot last week they made a contest for a ps3/Xbox360 game of dark sector for a response to " tell your story on your rise to violence due to your ps3/xbox 360 and/or why the Wii saved you from that life of crime. Well in any case here is my story :

Videogames have only been a source of problems to me.

Just a week ago, After a marathon of playing videogames and consuming "magic mushrooms" and chocolate coins like my hero Mario, I decided to go out in my current state to do some hopping. Seeing a person below I decided to jump on him to get some points… needless to say he did not disappear, left a mess and no numbers floated out of him.

To not have to face more people (that seemed like goombas at the time) I had the very bad idea that stopping cars in the middle of the road and pulling people out of them was easy. After my health bar had been depleted by the "goomba" in the car, I decided to get into a random fistfight. Again not that easy… After gaining one police star and hearing a siren, a bit of wall climbing and free running seemed like a good idea. I didn't have any special wall climbing gloves…

The police closing in and not many options at hand, thy protagonist thought the box on the sidewalk would work for hiding away from oncoming hammerbros. Trying to walk away under the box I was surprised they found me without me hearing the alarm that I had caught their attention!

Only one option was available. I had to engage in combat! I punched the hammerbro (Later found out it was the policeman) and waited for my next turn. Sadly neither the turn nor the limit break ever came. Why didn't I stock up on WoW mana energy potion?!

After having spent a few hours playing a very wrong game called "hot coffee" with my cellmate called Marcus, I came home to see that my social links had been reversed and everyone was cold with me.

Oh…and I got out of bail by trading my Wii to the police.

That is why GAMES ARE BAD!
