  Why the Rockstar bashing?

  Hey long time since i did one of these but here you go, I just wanted to talk a little bit about the bashing Rockstar is getting. I have felt for a while now that Rockstar isn't doing themselves any favours by creating these games.

  But still i enjoy games like gta because there fun and i have the sense to know that its not real and killing people wont go un-punished. So why cant all the politicians and groups agasint pretty much nothing shut the hell up and realise what the games demographic is.

  For example Bully or dog eat dog or whatever it will be called, I dont think is a harmful game to anyone what so ever. All i see is a game that is letting the kid being bullied be the bully. And yes there will be violence in it, but kids shouldn't be playing these games and Rockstar know this, but still the politicians and groups still say they are making these games to make a impression on kids. Which is ridiculous because if that were true, why is there a huge 18 label on the front of the box?

  I just find it sad that Rockstar get all the bad press and bull crap just because there games aren't dealing with subjects or topics that havent or dont get doven into because of the hassle that comes with it. And for this i praise Rockstar because they always stick with the idea and create good games, and in the end thats all that matters.

  If games were only supposed to have storys of islands with a evil demonto be destroyed or a person who saves the world, then the games market could never tap into what sells and thats giving someone a different reality to there own and that is why gta is such a success and why i think bully if good should do exactly the same thing and be a top seller to shut these idiots up.

  Maybe one day games like this will just come out with no hassle at all, and if a kid trys to start fights at school on bullies then thats the parents problem and if that does happen why is the kid playing the game in the first place? Also hopefully that Thompson dude can be out of a job.... Ahh we can only dream....

  Will Nintendo have a spaceworld type event this year?

  Hey there i havent wrote in my blog for a while but i thought i would write about a thought that popped into my head about 10 seconds before i started writing this.

  Will Nintendo have a spaceworld type of event this year? I think it would be a very good idea for Nintendo to show more people new games, or tell a release date and price maybe? Because they had a event specifically for the DS when that was coming out so it seems only right for Nintendo to do a event showing off the Wii using final hardware and stuff and reveal some details before its release.

  But yeah i just thought i would write that because from the intial blog idea im kinda thinking that if they do announce a event specifically for the Wii, I guarantee they will tell everyone the release and price and everthing about the Wii. You heard it here first people. But does anyone else think it would be a good chance for Nintendo to reveal information? Or was this type of of event a certainty in your minds that it was going to happen anyway? Comments always appreciated .

  Oh and before i go, I was playing table tennis yesterday trying to win the first part of the pro circuit to realise I was in for a very annoying and frusrating time. Jesper kept hittin shots at me in every direction sending me running left to right , with the force of a elephant on speed, and i had nothing to do against him but try and scrape some points or make that punk run for the ball! But i finally defeated him today . But now i am putting a price on his head for anyone who knows the anger i suffered i will give them £50,000 (Money will never be payed due to reasons i cannot explain) to hurt, I mean HURT Jesper with the hardest shot you could ever do with a ping pong ball. Lets see him make random grunting noices when a ping pong ball is impedded into his face!

  Soz about the rant but god that dude is annoying!!!!

  Yeah Right Sony keep dreaming!

  Now i know people will have already read this remark that Phil Harrison made but i will post the worst line or sentence of all.

  "We believe that the PS3 will be the place where our users play games, watch films, browse the Web, and use other [home] computer functions," said Harrison. "The PlayStation 3 is a computer. We do not need the PC."

  This is the quote to end all quotes of stupidity! Now I use a PC to view websites and create Word documents for college work and so on. But how the hell can a PS3 make a PC not even needed? Exactly it doesn't, its a ludicrous remark that will go down in the histroy books as being a very stupid thing to say. Right now if Sony is such an amazing company why cant they concentrate on making a great games console?

  You know why Phil shouldn't have said said it will make a PC seem obselite or not needed or whatever? Because they are two different things. A game console plays games and maybe the odd DVD but "the" feature is the games, but i dont want to have a folder called saves where i have to move the analouge stick onto the folder and press the x button to view the space on my PS3 HDD lol. I dont want to make Word documents on my PS3. Why cant Sony see that people want to play new and exciting games and have good game related services and features for the PS3. Not PC related features because there not neccesary.

  The term game console seems pretty self explanitory, a game console plays games and should be known and used to play games and do it well. A PC has multiple uses and things like searching the Web and creating documents or whatever features are suited to a PC.  Why try and combine the two? Its so stupid.

  It seems now that more and more people are getting annoyed and irratated with each and every statement Phil Harrison makes. I know I am and that is because hes trying to create hype but he doesn't know who he is creating hype for anymore and is trying to create a PC/games console but people want a game console so why say it will make PC's obselite? Its stupid . So I will say this, Phil Harrison the audience you are trying to create hype for people who play games. Did you hear that? Games! I will use my PC to do tons of stuff, but i dont want to use a PS3 for PC like features. And no the PS3 will not make me not need a PC, it will not change my use for my PC at all but your comments are making me not want your PC i mean PS3 anymore.

  Send the right message to the audience you should be appeasing and that's people who play games.They want things thats going to make playing games on your system better, making a PC plus game console isn't what people want. So if the PS3 doesn't have great game related features whats the point of even calling it a games console?

  So there you go, a little rant i suppose you can say but i hope you enjoyed reading my little rant about Phil harrison's comment, There was a comment made on the news story itself too, but i still had more to say so i thought i would make a blog . Thanks for reading.
