My 1337 Blog!

Pretty good day I had today. It was early release, so I got out at 12:00. Then I came home and found my CoD4 Limited Edition Swag Bag on my doorstep. It has two very nice posters on it, some stickers (WOO), two stich on badge thingys, a CoD4 hat, and a mission I can do to win a free CoD4 copy. Oh, and a cool water bottle. After that I decided to go to PetsMart and ended up getting a guinea pig. NO clue how that happened. Well yea, I have a tan guinea pig now...named Nuggets (lol). He's kinda freaked right now. Hiding in the corner on his cage. And he's fast. Everytime you go near him he freaks out, and it scares me. So yea.

I may be winning a CoD4 flashdrive soon. 1GB. Hopefully it will have bonus info on it if I win it.

Like the topic says, I'm in this topic on the Charlie Oscar Delta site for CoD4. I ended up tied for 4th in points, a long with 20 others. So I just got an e-mail saying to be entered in the tie-breaker contest, you must complete a mission. It is to show how you are a CoD fan. You can send in anything you want. The community votes for the top 7, and they win flash drives. Even if I don't win, I will still get a prize.

    Anyone have any ideas?

My first major short film, "The Goliath: Unfinished" was released today. To understand why it's an unfinished version, please visit the thread on the FPSU Board. Yep.

In this HSM (Me )/FPSU movie, young Goliath, driver of the Goliath, is minding his own buisness, when all of a sudden, he keeps getting pulled over!

You may find it funny, you may find it really...stupid...

It all started out one stormy day. Actually, at the time of the beginning of the story it was hot and sunny. But anyway, I was playing airsoft with my friends. When all of a sudden, it started pouring with RAIN! MUHAHAHAHA! Being just rain, we thought it would be fun to play out in the rain. We were right. But then a very severe thunderstorm started, so we went into my friend's garage. We were shooting the basketnet and trees, when someone noticed the neighbors on their porch watching us. We didn't take much notice, but then the same friend heard something. He told us all to be quiet...and another person heard it. It was the...POPO.

So, the neighbors called the police on us. When the car came up to us, the neighbors had gone inside. They ask us what we were doing, and we say playing airsoft, of course. So the police officer was saying how they got a report from someone saying that they heard gunshots, so they decided to investigate it. Then they saw us with guns and thought they were real and that we were aiming at them (the basketball net and stuff were in the general direction of them).

    Yes. Interesting story, huh?

I had to write a story in Language Arts. Tell me what you think. I think its pretty good for a child who hasn't even graduated middle school yet.

"Get up dear, get up!" My mom had run into my room and grabbed me out of bed before I was even awake. As my senses came to, I could see the flashes of light outside my window, accompanied by the explosions. The silent night, no longer silent, had turned into a nightmare. Only being 7, I didn't understand what was happening. I was living in war-torn London during the Second World War. My family sought refuge in our neighbor's bomb-shelter. This was becoming a daily routine. At that time, only one thing was on my mind: how to survive.

The next day, my mother finally made the tough decision my brother and me hoped would never have to be made. I, along with my brother James, was going to be sent out into the country to live with me uncle. He was only 4 at the time, so I had to take good care of him. As I walked into the train station, my single paper back of clothing in hand, I took a good look around. There were many other families doing the same thing we were. Kids and parents alike, as they hugged their final hug for a long time, were crying throughout the station. A sudden ROAR caught my attention. I had to cover my ears to block the deafening noise. I had seen a train before, but never this close. The train screeched to a halt. As the door opened, the only people who would ever be brave enough to return to London during the nightly raids, walked out. I still member the look on those soldiers faces. They were mournful and angry at the same time. I could tell they had been through a lot. A lot more than I would ever hope to see. After I hugged my mom goodbye, I helped my brother into the train. I was obscured in the crowd of others, and never saw my mother again before I left.

The train was scheduled to leave at 5:00 PM. This way, we would be clear of London before the bombing started. As the train started moving, I prayed for my mom, at home alone. I also prayed for my dad, fighting of somewhere I never heard of. Would I ever see them again? My train of thought was interrupted by the conductor telling me that this was my stop. I woke my brother up from him nap and disembarked from the train. After a short ten minute walk, I arrived at my uncle's house. I stood in front of the house with my brother, just staring at that house. Little did I know I would spend the next 10 years in that house, and the rest of my life in that small town in the Yorkshire Dales.

Even today, in the year 2007, I still see that image of me standing there, just staring at that ancient, red brick house. I still live in that town, along with my brother. We are both grown up now, with wives and children. My uncle has long since passed away. While we was arrive, he told me that my dad had died fighting in the mountains in Italy. My mom? Well, I don't know what happened to her. Hopefully one day I'll return to London, and look for her, if she lived through these years. Every time I see a little boy, walking down the street with his younger brother, oblivious of events outside our little town, the memory of what occurred during my childhood comes back to mind. As I grew older and wiser, I learned the cost of war. Not only in lives wasted, but also the price the innocent have to pay.

Yep...I got my first 2,000 point ribbon today in BF2142. The Legion of Merit needs 120 hours play time, 10 best kill streak, and 10 kills in a round.

I'd say it was the easiest, just a long term ribbon, as the 120 hours takes a while.

    Heres a screenshot.

It also promoted me to a Thingy silver, can't remember what

Battlefield 2142 is the next installment of the Battlefield series. Developed by DICE and EA, this is probably the best game. I believe gamespot rated it too low, and this game is underrated because of a few reasons.

One of those reasons is dynamic ads. People are saying, without even trying the game, that the ads are going to make the game suck. The ads blend in to the environment, and aren't that bad to be honest. And why would you decide to not get the same because of some pictures of pepsi and stuff on a billboard somewhere on the map? People are also saying this game has spyware. It is not have spyware. You see a paper when you open a box about IGA. The only thing this does to your computer is retrieve your IP, which gamespot probably has already done. In game, it records how you look at the ads, when, what ad, etc.

    GAME MODES- TITAN AND CONQUEST

Now on the the game. There are two gamemodes, conquest and titan. Conquest has been in the series since the start, and you capture control points around the map. When one is captured, you can spawn on it. The new titan gamemode is conquest, with silos, and a giant floating ship you need to blow up. In the start, your ship, a titan, has a full health shield. Your goal is to destroy the other teams shield. To do this, you have to capture and defend the 5 missile silos around the map. Every 2 minutes, they will launch a missile that will hit the enemy titan. Once the shields are down, you have to assualt the titan and blow up four consoles, then a reactor core. That will blow up the ship, and you win. However, you must stop the other team from doing the same thing. Some servers will have lag when your inside a moving titan. This will be fixed in an upcoming patch, so it won't be a very big deal anymore.

    BUGS/GLITCHES/EXPLOITS

Glitches. Not that many I have really noticed so far. The only ones are probably a gliding walker, bodies falling through the titan, gliding around, and when your critically wounded, the timer doesnt always show. They aren't very bad, to be honest. Of course, there are many minor bugs. They don't really annoy me that much, and it shouldn't you either.

There are currently lots of exploits in the game. I will not post them, because they are illegal to do. Hopefully, they will be fixed in a upcoming patch

    MOD?

People may say this game is a mod. They say this because it uses the same engine as BF2, and "feels" the same. Yes, that is true, but it also have many more features.

    GAMEPLAY

The gameplay is easily comparable to BF2. The feel is the same. The gameplay is great, and the game is hard to stop playing, since it goes on forever... 9/10

    GRAPHICS

The graphics are an improvement over BF2, yet not up to par with next generation games. The game will look pretty good though on medium-high settings. 7/10

    SOUND

The sound in this game is great improvement over BF2,. The guns have distinct sounds, they sound awesome, noises of vehicles are great, the loading music/menu music is waaaay better than BF2. One of the things I noticed in the game was how when a tank fires, the sound "rips the cold air" (snow maps). 9/10

    VALUE

This game is worth the $50. You will NOT regret buying it. However, I would recommend you try the demo first. 10/10

I highly recommend you get this awesome game. If you liked any other BF game, you will like this.
