    Black Friday pwns.

Why aren't you guys commenting? It's like you forgot me or something....Maybe you really have! NOOOO!!!! DON'T!!!! I'M COOL!!!!

Anyway, as you may possibly and hopefully know, today is Black Friday. Today is the day where the holiday shopping season truly kicks off, and where just about every single store puts up some huge markdowns on some of their inventory. Every year in my family, one of us goes out and buys the newspaper on Thanksgiving day. That paper is filled with the ads of the sales and discounts for the next day. So, we all look through them and pick out things we might like, things that others might like, and things that are really unneeded, but, what the hell, let's buy it anyway. I was looking through the Target catalog, and on the first page, right in the corner, was an friggin' amazing deal. And I mean AMAZING. They were selling the Guitar Hero: World Tour Guitar Kit for Wii for only $59! That's $40 off of the actual price of $99.99! It was not discounted on any other console. Originally, I planned to buy the game only, and then the drum kit separately whenever it came out. I already had Guitar Hero III for Wii, and also Rock Band for Wii. Which meant that I had a Rock Band Fender Stratocaster guitar, a Guitar Hero Gibson Les Paul guitar, a Rock Band drumset, and a Rock Band microphone, along with the games. What I was thinking was that I could use the guitar I got with Guitar Hero III and the microphone I got with Rock Band. But, then I came across this deal. I would be getting the game and the new guitar for only $10 more than the game only! So, I went to my local Target at about 5:50 AM, about 10 minutes before it actually opened. Target was the only store selling the guitar kit for $59. The line wrapped around the first side of the building, and reached the sidewalk with about 50 people or so on the next side. I looked in front of me, and there were at least 300 there. That dashed my hopes. I figured there was no way I was getting Guitar Hero: World Tour now....I decided that I would just settle for the game (at the time, I only had $65, so I couldn't buy the full band kit). I finally got inside at about 6:05 AM, and I ran to the electronics section, hoping that there might have been one copy left with my name on it. I got there, and....nothing. The boxes had been wiped out for all four consoles, as well as the band kits. So, the second thing on my list was a docking station for my iPod to keep in my room, so I left and went over to where they were being held. I was looking through all of my options, and then I decided that I would wait for my mom to come and help me decide. I went back to the video game section, just to make sure I hadn't lost my shot. I saw a Target representative and about 5 people surrounding him. I reached them, and asked them if there were anymore copies left for the Wii version. "We're trying to get some more out of the back," he said. My face brightened. I may get it after all. And so he told us that there was no way that he could get it through to the shelf, so he said to wait by the register. And then since the back door was right next to that, I just stood near it. And just as he said, they came out of the back with a cartload of at least 30 or so copies. I quickly grabbed mine, then found a really sweet iHome, and left. But, as I reached the register, I saw a line - a big line. A HUGE line, in fact. It wrapped around the entire store and then started weaving through some aisles until it finally ended in the Pharmacy/Food section. Wow. There's a JCPenney next to my local Target, so I went there. I got some jeans and an awesome Metallica-...And Justice For All t-shirt. Then we went to Office Max. From there we got a 4GB Micro SD Card for my phone, and also some Anti-virus software. I wanted Windows Live OneCare, but then I saw Norton 360, and got that. And it covers 3 PCs! After that, my dad called and asked us to go to Office Depot to see if they still had one of their advertised laptops left. It was: HP Pavilion
    3GB DDR2 RAM
    160 GB HD
    Intel Pentium T3200 processor
    15.4" screen
    $349.99

Which was pretty nice. I'm actually on a Toshiba laptop with the exact same specs, which I got for $579.99 + an $80 mail-in-rebate. But, they were out of stock, so I left, but not without getting some RAM for a desktop in my house and also a 50-pack of CD-Rs. Guitar Hero: World Tour is pretty fun. The songs are great, and they have Trapped Under Ice by Metallica, which is an awesome song. Anyway, I won't get the full experience, because though I have 2 guitars and a microphone, I don't have a drumset that is compatible with it, all I have is the Rock Band drumset. Which just so happens to be compatible with each other on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Thanks Nintendo. But, all in all, Black Friday was quite a good day for me. I got a pretty sweet game, and a bunch of other stuff from various stores. If you have never woken up early on Black Friday, you should try it. It's an amazing experience with a great atmosphere. Damn, that was a long blog post.

    See? I'm proving it!

I have come back. And I'm here to stay. Anyway, time for some gaming news. Even though Guitar Hero: World Tour and Rock Band 2 sold well into the six-digits, Rock Revolution, which was published by Konami, had only sold less than 3,000 copies. 3,000! That's only 992 years away from now! Wow. And the weirdest part is, that the Wii version, has only sold 2 copies. Nationwide. In the United States of America. 2! That's not very much. And....My computer works now! I replaced the motherboard, by getting an exchange, and it works great now! Now I need to install Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, and Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Advanced Warfighter 2. And, I need to load up Vista before that. All I have is Mandriva Linux 2009. If anyone can help me out with installing Vista so I have two partitions for a dual-boot, that would be really appreciated. Thanks! So....comments welcome....
