Jeff is fired by CNet, Gamespot is dead, I'm gonna go to IGN or gametrailers...

Guys, Jeff is gone. Gamespot is runed by cnet. An ugly money hungry, unaware s.hitty company. fuuuck Cnet and fuuuck the guy that fired Jeff.

A few links that explain what happened if ur unaware of the end of Gamespot as we know it:

http://kotaku.com/gaming/rumor/gamespot-editor-fired-over-kane--lynch-review-328244.php

http://backseatcuddler.com/2007/11/30/jeff-gerstmann-fired-from-gamespot/

copy paste this text that is absolutely spot on with what wrong with all this **** paste it at 1up, ign, gamespot, cnet, youtube, everywhere... come on review kane and lynch with an 1.0 ratinf this is an outrage... lets not let this go... this is something unthinkable for the industry not just gamespot or jeff gerstmann.

To all of the ones that believe Jeff Gerstmann deserved be fired because he had "unprofessional reviews and review practices." That is absolutely ludicrous. You can't go on saying that reviews should be unemotional and deal with straight facts, because that is impossible for human beings to do. You CANNOT compare item reviews and game reviews and say that they are held to the same standards. Reviews do entail detailed facts about a product, but for game reviews there are different standards. Of course you have to write factually and unbiased toward things like graphics and (to a certain extent) controls. However, the majority of a game review depends on the "fun factor", which cannot be determined by "facts" because it essentially comes down to opinion. If a reviewer does not find a game fun, the review has the right to say so and state the reasons why. The reasons may be absolutely insane, but in the end it is what makes the reviewer happy, and they have a right to impart that on to the reader.

It is true that Jeff was over the top, but that is just a part of his character. That over the top attitude carried to the other editors, and is what allowed the site to be brimming with the humor that it has. Rich Gallup has set the standard for the humor of the site when he arrived, but Jeff Gerstmann is the one who kept it going with his character.

The floating idea that Jeff got canned because of the Kane and Lynch review would mean that his other reviews were a part of his own opinion and not a part of a company's wish to pay off him. Because of that it makes his other reviews very legitimate because it can be seen that he literally calls them as he sees them. Furthermore, his large amount of experience within the gaming industry shows that he does have sense when it comes to his reviews, because he has been with gaming almost since the beginning. To say that he has no clue about what he is saying is just ignorant.

It is okay to disagree with him because it is your opinion, but to state that he was a bad reviewer because he was too emotional is downright imbecilic. You are just proving to everyone else that you are too emotional about this man giving negative comments about a game you like, or giving positive comments to a game you dislike.

Cnet has made a very, very big mistake, and I would not be surprised if more GameSpot crew members will look at Tim Tracy's example and follow suit. They should know that this kind of nonsense will not be tolerated by them, and if Cnet chooses to run this way the crew should do something against it. If it means walking about then by all means it should be done. It would not be extremely difficult for them to find new work, or, even better, make their own site.

Cnet this has really disgusted me, I understand that they are a business and they must protect their assets, but this act has really put me in a position of distrust and anger toward them. There was no reason for them to fire Jeff, no reason at all. I hope that Jeff can recover from this easily (in fact I know he will). But I really hope that GameSpot can recover from their loss.
I didn't write this this is from dark soul... something

Here are some riddles for you guys...
Here are some riddles for you guys...

-What always ends everything? (easy one)

-What driver doesn't have a
license? (Just think staight)

-What has a neck, but no head? (This is a hard one. And don't even try ansering guillotined people or the headless rider from Sleepy Hollow, cause that ain't the answer.)

Good luck!

If you can solve one of them, you'll get a blessing and a title... (I'm kinda thinking how should I reward you guys next time cause I know what I wrote sucks)

As soon as all the riddles are solved, I'll post three more.

Today I tried out a game called War Rock...

Today I tried out a game called War Rock. I've played the beta 1 last year, but now the game has really improved and is looking good and it's still beta 2. The beta was officialy released the 13th july.

Ok enough with the background, this game is an online FPS and a battlefield 2 lookalike. The gameplay is really awsome with a growing comunity and the graphics look good even on my GeForce fx 5600xt (My card sucks) There's lot's of features for the new graphic cards with shadder 3 support so I imagine that they'll look even better.

With the new beta release, you get three main modes: Mission infantry and vehicles. The only diffrence between vehicle and infantry modes is that theres more vehicles in vehicle (obviously) and the maps are huge and open in vehicle mode. Mission is a mode with a kind of terrorist team and assault team. The mission ends when all terrorists or assault team is dead. But you also need to disarm two boms if you can't kill all the terrorists within 2:30 minutes.

You'll never get tired of all the maps and their diffrences.
The game also features exp & levels and buyable items with money you make by playing. I think everyone should try this game. You can either download the 200mb installer on gamespot or on http://warrock.net/ and don't forget to make an account on the game's official site.

It's been a while!

It's been a while that I haven't posted in my blog, but as of now I'm gonna start a blog of what I do. Expect to see videos of me overclocking hardware, showing out my house, my room, the great Canadian wilderness, gameplay, my pet cat and much much more... My videos are gonna suck at first cus I'm still getting used to Pinnacle Studio 10 and I'll be using a cheap Sony power-shot digital camera that can film low resolution only for about 11 minutes.

I'll also add custom fan clips I'm gonna make trough out the summer. My question is: Gamespot mentions that copywrighted material is forbiddent, but if I want to add a popular song to my custom clips but I still mention the author and the title in credits, will I get sued or something or will what I'll do is illegal?

Edit: is it even possible to make a video blog when only a basic member? If not, all my planning will have been worth nothing. I would still enjoy the simple video upload utility not for blogs.
