I finally got around to finishing Silent Hill: Homecoming.
The ending I got was actually pretty disappointing.
I guess it is the leave ending? Alex rejoins Ella after beating the big boss.
It was a very short clip, and did not say much.
And no STATS! I really am dissapointed with that.
If this was not a Silent Hill title, I would have liked it better.
I can only hope the rumors that Lusty posted about are true, that Team Silent will be involved in the next one. Twisted Helix or Climax or who ever they are did OK, and I think the environments were beautiful, and the story was OK. A bit of a mix between Origins and Restless Dreams, and the characters were good, but still.....

I really enjoyed BioShock. I will have to admit I expected to run a bit longer, but other then that I absolutely loved it and will definately buy the next one when it comes out in Q4 2009.
Now on to Resistance 2.

OK,
So now I am finished with Fallout3
I went the good karma route and killed myself at the end.
I, of course, will play it though again at least a couple more times. I am sad to be finished with it, but with R2, BioShock and Dead Space still to play, not to mention SHH, I guess I should be moving on.
I will submit a review and rating on it today.

I won Bioshock on Ebay for $41.
Took long enough.
That's ok though, I am still playing Fallout 3. Made it to level 12!
I have not even started Resistance 2 yet, let alone finished Silent Hill: Homecoming. I just cannot seem to play anything else right now.

I picked up a copy of Dead Space on Ebay, New, Sealed, for $41!
With S&H costs, it was only $45.
I know I only saved $17.66 (with sales tax) but hey, every bit helps these days.
And I do not feel so guilty.
Now to work on BioShock!

First off, I am NOTan RPG fan nor do I play RPG games very often.
In fact, not at all.
If you look at my list of games, I love horror and racing games, with a soft spot for Star Wars, but that is about it. (The Harry Potter games are my wifes, honestly)....
That being said, I am thoroughly enjoying Fallout 3. I have only barely ventured out of Vault 101, but for an RPG I like it.
I have preordered the Resistance 2 Collector's Edition from Best Buy.
Now to figure out a way to get Dead Space and Bioshock!

I just pre-ordered Fallout3 from Best Buy.
I think I am going to wait for a bit on DeadSpace, but I know I cannot wait on Resistance 2....
Not to mention I want the new PSP-3000 as well, so I am going to have to save my money for that one.
Still working on Silent Hill Homecoming. I think I am going to have to start over again. I am in the Jail, but only have half of my health left, and damned if Schism does not just hit me once and I am dead! Meat sack boy was not as hard as I thought he would be. He reminds me a lot of the end boss on Silent Hill 3. And Siam reminds me a lot of Closer from Silent Hill 3 as well....

If you have not played any of HomeComing yet, there be spoilers ahead...
Minor ones, but just the same..
I could not help but notice the signs on the wall of the nightmare hospital (Ward 2B and such) look just like the movies. And the tranformation from normal to nightmare? ripped straight from the movie as well.
I likeShepherd's Glenn so far. I hope I have to go back, because I left so much undone before I went to Silent Hill... The Cemetary is pretty cool. I do not like all the extra colors in Smog, just feels out of place for Silent Hill. And it takes 9 bullets to take him down in normal mode!
So far I have gotten past the first save point in the Grand Hotel.
First off: SHAME SHAME Double Helix! the Grand Hotel belongs to the Movie, not the games! And I hope the town of Silent Hill is going to be a lot bigger then the little map I have seen so far.
The needler is cool. First one was hard to fight!
I had all the pictures for the old lady, but got iced by a Nurse on the way back to her. Health resources are scarce, so be frugal!

I finally got a copy of Homecoming.
So far I like it. As usual, I will not write a full review until I have finished it.
I have noticed that on GameStop they have it listed as number 5 in the top sellers list.
It is #2 on the PS3 list and not on top 5 of XBOX 360. I am glad to see that, because I really want PS3 games to start selling well, and I want future games released on PlayStation!

There are so many games coming out for PS3 over the next 5 weeks...
1. Silent Hill Homecoming (Hopefully I will be picking that up tonight)
2. DeadSpace -10/14
3. BioShock -10/21
4. Fallout3 -10/28
And last but certainly not least:
5. Resistance 2 -11/4
These are mostly the Must Haves. There are some "would be nice to have" that I am leaving out.
I could probably wait for a little while on BioShock and Fallout3, and maybe even Dead Space, but definitely not SHH or R2..............
First, there is money. I could buy them all, and I want the Collector's Editions of Fallout3 and R2, but wouldn't be more prudent to wait until I can get them used? I have a daughter, a Freshman in a private school, so money has to budgeted carefully (do you realize how expensive private high school is? I had no idea until about 2 months ago).
Plus, I have a 9 year old daughter that loves everything her daddy does, and she has no business watching me play some of the games listed above, so I have to do it when she is in bed.
So that limits me to nights...So time is really one of the biggest problems.
It will probably take me a month to get through SHH the first time. It did for Resistance..
Eh, I guess all of this is the price you pay for being an adult and still playing Video Games

I am starting to get a little agitated....

No Gamestop in my area (Kansas City Metro for goodness sakes) has received their shipments of Silent Hill V yet!
WTF?
As long as I have it by Friday Night I suppose....

You are going to die in 7 days...
Oh wait, sorry, no...
Seven Days till Silent Hill V!
I have been looking forward to this ever since I read the article in Game Informer right after Silent Hill 4: The Room came out and they were talking about waiting for the next gen consoles for the next game! That would have been early to mid June, 2004. So over 4 years! I guess I got spoiled with a little over a year between 3 and 4...
And now, it's only 7 days!

Hello.
I am a Horror Survival fan.
I do not like Resident Evils as much as I do Silent Hill games. I do enjoy RE Games, but SH games scare the sh*t out of me, and I love that!
I am so excited right now, waiting for SH:Homecoming, Fallout3 and Resistance 2. Its going to be a great couple of months!
