28Nov 09It's currently 10:03pm here in Sydney, tomorrow morning I need to be up at 5am to catch the plane on time and I'm still packing! I am a very very bad packer. I cannot pack lightly. I'm trying to shove my entire wardrobe into my little suitcase and both my parents are yelling at me to only take the essentials. But I keep freaking out that I will need all this random stuff. I just spent an hour trying to fit 9 pairs of shoes in my backpack, with my mum glaring at me and shaking her head. She made me remove 6 of my shoes. I feel so empty inside.

And it's so much worse that it'll be winter over there. At least summer clothes are all nice and small. I just put A warm coat, a raincoat, a leather jacket, tracksuit pants and Half-Blood Prince in my luggage and it's already full. Grr. I'm not even taking any Twilight books, because my friend wanted to borrow them while I was away and I couldn't refuse because I'm too freaking nice. Gah.
I think our plane trip to Tokyo is about 10 hours. I'm quite excited for that actually, I love plane trips. It's just eating and sleeping and sitting and watching tv, which is pretty much what I do all the time anyways. My iPod is fully charged too and loaded with dozens of new podcasts to listen to, including Buffy Between the Lines season 1!
Plus I put Glee on there

And we're staying in Tokyo for 4 nights. I just got my travel card done loaded up with a few months of pay and I plan to take a nice long walk down Harajuku and spend spend spend!
I will come back home with the quirkiest stuff, I'm very excited. Then after that we're going to Rome for a week, where we'll pick up our hired car and drive around Northern Italy for a few more days. Not that exciting, I've been there and it's all traffic and old smelly historical buildings that I don't really care about. Then we're driving down to Sicily and going pretty much everywhere there. Then finally going to a small down at the very south called Avola where my grandmother and aunt live, and we're staying there over Christmas and New Years. I think we're staying there for the rest of January as well, but we're probably gonna go to Egypt, Malta and London, for like a day thing. Like I said, not too overly excited about Italy, but oh well. I'm mainly looking forward to Japan. There's an Irish pub behind our hotel and a KFC in front of it. Chicken and beer: I'm set! It'll be like I never even left home.
I'm bringing my laptop and might get access to wireless internet every now and then, but not often. I won't be able to check my mod queue once a week. I get back Febuary 4 2010, and I hope it's still gonna be warm here when I get back. I can't stand the thought of losing Summer. It's gonna be a hot one this year, I can tell. It's only November now and it's already hit 42 degrees celcius. Damn gradual yet inevitable heating of the Earth's core! I really shouldn't have watched 2012.- Posted Nov 28, 2009 3:21 am PT

19Aug 09True story. Alcohol helps though.

Lots and lots of it. The past 2 weeks I've been drowning in a sea of booze, cigs and McDonalds. I don't think I could get any fatter. It's disgustingly awesome.
Uni is as directionless as always. I have no idea what I'm doing there. Such a huge waste of time.
BUT a good thing is, that the many hours a day I spend at uni, just waiting for my next class, I've got some great podcast listening done! I think I've listened to at least 40 hours of podcasts. Mainly Kim's "Upside Down and Halfway to Happyland" podcast. It's pretty good. I just finished all the episodes today, and I'm waiting for part 2 of the "Restless" discussion to be released in a couple of days.
It's a pretty good show. It's introduced to some stuff which I'm looking forward to checking out. Like Buffy Between the Lines which is an audio drama podcast that I think takes place in between the Buffy seasons. I've been told it's pretty funny.
I also just recently (through a Whedon news podcast called "Joss'd!" which pretty much talks about everything Joss Whedon, and everyone he's ever looked at...) heard about a new internet sci-fi/musical/comedy webseries called Cabonauts! Every episode will guest star some cool sci-fi actor person. And they'll randomly burst into song. The first episode has Miracle Laurie and James C. Leary, who played Clem on Buffy. Click here to watch the trailer on dailymotion.com.
Also, EVERYBODY needs to check out The Spuffy Song. But be warned: it will be stuck in your head allll day and allllll night. You'll be singing it on the bus. Speaking of, there was a guy on my bus today, who obviously had something wrong with him, singing at the very top of his lungs. I felt bad for him, and was kinda afraid of him too, but it was just so funny. I looked at some guy sitting across for me and we just burst out laughing.
One final thing, before I bore you all, if you love Neil Patrick Harris, check out this youtube video. It's a very very awesome song.
And now, just 'coz I can, here's a lolcat:

14Jun 09When the Devil is too busy
And Death's a bit too much
They call on me by name you see,
For my special touch.
To the Gentlemen I'm Miss Fortune
To the Ladies I'm Sir Prize
But call me by any name
Any way it's all the same
I'm the fly in your soup
I'm the pebble in your shoe
I'm the pea beneath your bed
I'm a bump on every head
I'm the peel on which you slip
I'm a pin in every hip
I'm the thorn in your side
Makes you wriggle and writhe
And it's so easy when you're evil
This is the life, you see
The Devil tips his hat to me
I do it all because I'm evil
And I do it all for free
Your tears are all the pay I'll ever need
While there's children to make sad
While there's candy to be had
while there's pockets left to pick
While there's grannies to trip down the stairs
I'll be there, I'll be waiting round the corner
It's a game. I'm glad I'm in it
'Cause there's one born every minute
I pledge my allegiance, to all things dark
And I promise on my damned soul
To do as I am told, Lord Beelxebub
Has never seen a soldier quite like me
Not only does his job, but does it happily.
I'm the fear that keeps you awake
I'm the shadows on the wall
I'm the monsters they become
I'm the nightmare in your skull
I'm a dagger in your back
An extra turn on the rack
I'm the quivering of your heart
A stabbing pain, a sudden start.
And it's so easy when you're evil
This is the life, you see
The Devil tips his hat to me
I do it all because I'm evil
And I do it all for free
Your tears are all the pay I'll ever need
And I do it all for free
Your tears are all the pay I'll ever need
And I do it all for free
Your tears are all the pay I'll ever need
It gets so lonley being evil
What I'd do to see a smile
Even for a little while
And no one loves you when you're evil
I'm lying though my teeth!
Your tears are all the company I need!

10May 09The Supreme Awesomeness of the Star Trek movie (non-spoilery) + The Guild!
SO. Yes. I saw Star Trek on Saturday night!
It was awesome.
It made me laugh. It made me cry. It made me laugh some more. And it made me fall a little bit in love with Spock.
(who was played awesomely by Zachary Quinto AKA Sylar from Heroes).
The guy playing Captain Kirk was pretty cool too. Probably not as cool as William Shatner, but nobody is as cool as William Shatner
Thankgod he wasn't playing him now though, I think he would've made the ship just break mid-flight, with the intensity of his fatness
He's awesome in Boston Legal though. But yes. Everyone should go watch Star Trek. PLUS! It has Simon Pegg. You cannot go wrong with Simon Pegg. He was hilarious. That man is pure sex. And I must admit, I did feel some Aussie pride seeing Eric Bana perform so well. I normally don't really like him, as an actor and as a person, but he was great in this. And delightfully evil.
Awesome surprise appearances by an unrecognisable Winona Ryder, and the original Spock!

Simon Pegg being all awesome.
Spock and Kirk being all sexy.Also... THE GUILD! THE FREAKING GUILD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dude this is like awesome. You can watch it on the official site, on youtube, or download the first season for free on iTunes. Plus the DVD is available for pre-order on Amazon.
Everyone must watch this. BECAUSE FELICIA DAY SAYS SO!!!
It's very nerdy. Has some similar humour to Dr Horrible's Sing-A-long blog.
As well as Felicia playing the violin, throwing up on a hot asian stunt guy, and expressing how she can now run around the house naked, and then proceeds to do so! (17 seconds is her record).
Zaboo eating noodles.
Vork being Vork
Codex being ever so constantly annoyed by the awesome Zaboo!
Right, that's the blog people.

10Mar 09Well not THAT good. Just better than other two-weeks. Plus, I wanna blog. Boredom has overcome me once more. And I refuse to do uni work. Why I am voluntarily torturing myself, I have no idea.
YES, I saw the lovely Miss Amanda Palmer. I must say, her show this time round wasn't as good as her last one was. Don't get me wrong, it was a freaking awesome show, it's just that singing and dancing is so much more fun than sitting at a table. The wine was nice though. And meeting her was awesome. She signed my "Who Killed Amanda Palmer" tshirt and my concert ticket. I should've bought my CD though, so she could sign that too. Ah well. She's adorable.
I also finally got my Dr Horrible DVD from eBay in the mail! It's very pretty
And my new best friend! I've been watching ELE application videos all night. It's pretttyyyyyyyy awesome....
Shiny, no?
AAAAND I've been watching Torchwood. Although I was a doosh and only got the first half of season one from the video shop. Dads returning it tonight, and he won't get the rest for me. Poohead. So far, I really like it
Captain Jack is hot. And so is Ianto. And Tosh. Although I don't really like Gwen or Owen. But I heard Owen becomes more likeable as the series progresses, so I look forward to that.
Just spent half an hour trying to get a photo of my puppy, Dexter, watching Dexter. But he refused to co-operate. So I got these:
^Starting relatively well...
^The struggle....
^I gave up and just let him have the chair.
So I leave you now, gentle viewers, with this:
^ Neil Patrick Harris and Nathan Fillion? Please I am SO in.

YAY!
It's on the umm 26th of Febuary I think, at the Metro Theatre. I'm uber excited

If they play Your Guardian Angel I will cry

It's a school day though
A tuesday me thinks. HIM is on a school day too. I'll probably leave school during lunch to go line up
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY

On another note, I am FINALLY watching Angel

I managed to burn Season 1 off a friend who had it burnt of her friends DVDs
And hopefully she'll give me Season 2 soon so I can keep watching
Also, does anyone watch Black Books?
It is the funniest show ever. I want to marry it.
Dylan Moran is a British comical genius I want to eat him.
2 days ago I watched the entire show from episode 1 to the final episode, episode 18, for the second time.
It was an awesome day. By the end of it, I was speaking like a drunken, grumpy Irishman.

Manny, Fran and Bernard. ^

Bernard. ^^
Manny and Bernard. ^
If you've seen Hot Fuzz, the main blonde guy in it, Seargent Nicholas Angel, is in Black Books for an episode, as are the twins, played by Bill Bailey.
If you like British comedy, then you MUST watch Black Books.
That is all.

I'm bored again in class, so I'd just like to acknowledge 30 Seconds To Mars, one of my fave bands, and put up some screencaps from their new video clip for their most recent song "The Kill".
Jared Leto is one of the hottest guys ever:

The video clip is about the wants and desires of the band members. It seems that Jared Leto wants to practially make out with himself. I don't really blame him

This is like the funniest scene in the video clip:

It appears the wants and desires of the dude with the sunnies include a guy in a bear costume giving him a head.

Ya. I'm bored. You know the drill. (:
Albums:
10. Queen of the Damned soundtrack.

I just love it. Packed with heavy metal goodness.
Fave songs: Redeemer – Marilyn Manson, Before I’m Dead - Kidneythieves, System – Chester Bennington
9. Rasputina's Thanks For The Ether

An endless amount of great songs.
Fave songs: Transylvanian Concubine, My Little Shirtwaist Fire, Brand New Key

Bjork rocks my socks XD. Lovely songs on this album. Nice electronica/rock/techno XD
Fave songs: Army of Me, Isobel, You’ve Been Flirting Again
7. Evanescence's The Open Door

Ahhh. Love Evanescence, and love the creepiness of this album. So depressing though. But the kind of depressing music that makes you happy.
Fave songs: Lithium, Lacrymosa, Your Star, Like You
6. Rasputina's Cabin Fever

The 2nd of 3 Raspy albums on this list. What can I say? Raspy are flawless. (:
Fave songs: Hunters’ Kiss, My Orphanage, Gingerbread Coffin, A Quitter (the saddest song ever :'[ )
5. Theory of a Deadman's Gasoline

Again, I use the word 'flawless". Every single song on this album is perfect in every way, and impossible to get tired of.
Fave songs: Quiver, Say Goodbye, No Surprise
4. Rasputina's How We Quit The Forest

Wow. One absolutely perfect song after another. Thats the only way to describe it.

Love all of it. Every single song could be a hit.

Yes, I'm aware that I'm merely copying this idea off various people, but I am quite bored, therefore they will understand
Also please understand that I have so many more favourite artists, but this is a Top 10 List. Not a Top 1,500 List.
10. KoRn

One of the greatest heavy metal bands in the world (IMHO). Nothing much else to say about them, except they effing ROCK!
Fave songs: Thoughtless, Word Up!, Freak on a Leash, Ya'll Want a Single
9. Placebo

I wanted to see them live this year. But noooo. I wasn't allowed haha. But anywayz, Placebo are awesome. I'm always dancing and singing and moving my head around in weird positions to their songs. Placebo = awesome electronic rock. And Brian Molko = my love

Fave songs: Every You Every Me, Protege Moi, Meds, Taste in Men, I Do, Infrared
8. Marilyn Manson

Yes, we all know he's a psychotic controversial scary lunatic, but we love him anyway. And that's because his music = the sex. Literally.
Fave songs: Tourniquet, You Spin Me Right Round, This Is The New Sh*t, (s)AINT, Sl*t Garden, Redeemer, Beautiful People, Terrible Lie
7. Rob Zombie

Basically the same as Manson. And I have someone very fantastic to thank for him.

Fave songs: Living Dead Girl, Dragula, Spookshow Baby, The Ballad of Resurrection Joe and Rosa Wh0re, 17 Year Locust
6. The Dresden Dolls

So unique. They're described as punk cabaret, but really they have no genre. They're just "The Dresden Dolls".
Fave songs: Missed Me, Coin-Operated Boy, Backstabber, Girl Anachronism, Half Jack, Mrs. O, Sex Changes, First 0rgasm
5. My Chemical Romance

I have Emily to thank for this.
She made me join her in her MCR obsession, and it paid off, because they effing rock my socks
Gerard Way = hottest emo ever, hahaFave songs: Vampires Will Never Hurt You, Helena, Demolition Lovers, To The End, You Know What They Do To Guys Like Us In Prison, The Jetset Life Is Gonna Kill You, The Ghost of You, I'm Not Okay (I Promise), Honey This Mirror Isn't Big Enough For The Two Of Us
4. Poe
Again, I have Holly to thank
. Poe is very awesome. Can't really describe her in any other words. I'm just lazy and not very creative. So I'll stick with awesome. (:Fave songs: Haunted, 5 and a 1/2 Minute Hallway, Not a Virgin, Angry Johnny, Wild, Amazed, Spanish Doll, Walk the Walk, That Day, Today, Trigger Happy Jack, Control
3. Theory of a Deadman

Like Nickelback, but better. I actually discovered them on a video game called Fahrenheit (or Indigo Prophecy). They should be way more popular than they are. They rock much too... much.
Fave songs: Say Goodbye, No Surprise, Quiver, Santa Monica, Better Off, Invisible Man, Hating Hollywood, Save The Best For Last, No Way Out
2. Rasputina

What I thank Holly most for. Because. Raspy. are. too. awesome. for. me. to. write. a. summary. on. them. Basically Raspy = original cello rock with much talent.
Fave songs: Transylvanian Concubine, Things I'm Gonna Do, Tourniquet, Leechwife, Trenchmouth, Herb Girls of Birkenau, Diamond Mind, PJ + Vincent & Matthew + Bjork, If Your Kisses Can't Hold The Man You Love, A Quitter, Gingerbread Coffin, Fire and Ice, High on Life, My Orphanage, Hunters' Kiss, I Only Wanna Be With You, Watch TV
1. Evanescence

I had a tough time deciding on Raspy or Evanescence, but my decision is final. Evanescence = best gothic rock band ever.
Fave songs: My Immortal, Lies, Snow White Queen, Lies (remix), Call Me When You're Sober, Missing, Breathe No More, Lose Control, Imaginary, Hello, Your Star, Bring Me To Life, Like You, Lithium, Lacrymosa, I Must Be Dreaming, Even in Death, Where Will You Go, The Only One, Eternal
Artists that were considered, but didn't make the list: Green Day, Iron Maiden, Avenged Sevenfold, The Veronicas, the Rogue Traders, Madonna, Fall Out Boy, Robbie Williams, James Blunt, Muse, Avril Lavigne, Garbage, Panic! At The Disco, Linkin Park, AFI, George, Lacuna Coil.

HELL YEEEEEAH!!!!!!!!!!
Buffon, you're my hero!!!!
Not one single ball got past Buffon this year, except the penalties and when that idiot scored an auto goal against the USA. Cannavaro.... you're gonna have to marry me. You play as like 4 players as once, you're like another goal keeper.
Totti - you're kinda hot in a weird way, but you can't play for Tic Tacs. Shame on you for throwing out the Aussies.
Grosso - God bless you. You gave me a night of partying. *worships Grosso*
Materazzi - Bless you too, we would've lost against France without you.
Thankgod Zidane got out, otherwise we wouldn't have won, probably. I read that Materazzi said something about his mum and sister or something.
I live in Sydney, but I was actually in Italy with my relatives when the World Cup was on and it was AWESOOOOOMME!!!!!! There were half naked guys everywhere, it was great!
Also, alcohol can be served to under 18's there....... I wanna live there.
But there were guys dancing on top of moving cars, 5 or 6 people or those little motorbikes and trucks with their boot FILLED was hot and sweaty Italian boys and flags everywhere and tombstones with the French flag on them and there was fire too, and cars beeping, this went on all night. I had my flag and I jumped around a bit...
... Okay, a lot
And they partied in the other games as well, from when they beat Australia they did it.When I get home I shall upload some photos and videos of partying
