So long, farewell!
It's currently 10:03pm here in Sydney, tomorrow morning I need to be up at 5am to catch the plane on time and I'm still packing! I am a very very bad packer. I cannot pack lightly. I'm trying to shove my entire wardrobe into my little suitcase and both my parents are yelling at me to only take the essentials. But I keep freaking out that I will need all this random stuff. I just spent an hour trying to fit 9 pairs of shoes in my backpack, with my mum glaring at me and shaking her head. She made me remove 6 of my shoes. I feel so empty inside.
And it's so much worse that it'll be winter over there. At least summer clothes are all nice and small. I just put A warm coat, a raincoat, a leather jacket, tracksuit pants and Half-Blood Prince in my luggage and it's already full. Grr. I'm not even taking any Twilight books, because my friend wanted to borrow them while I was away and I couldn't refuse because I'm too freaking nice. Gah.
I think our plane trip to Tokyo is about 10 hours. I'm quite excited for that actually, I love plane trips. It's just eating and sleeping and sitting and watching tv, which is pretty much what I do all the time anyways. My iPod is fully charged too and loaded with dozens of new podcasts to listen to, including Buffy Between the Lines season 1!
Plus I put Glee on there

And we're staying in Tokyo for 4 nights. I just got my travel card done loaded up with a few months of pay and I plan to take a nice long walk down Harajuku and spend spend spend!
I will come back home with the quirkiest stuff, I'm very excited. Then after that we're going to Rome for a week, where we'll pick up our hired car and drive around Northern Italy for a few more days. Not that exciting, I've been there and it's all traffic and old smelly historical buildings that I don't really care about. Then we're driving down to Sicily and going pretty much everywhere there. Then finally going to a small down at the very south called Avola where my grandmother and aunt live, and we're staying there over Christmas and New Years. I think we're staying there for the rest of January as well, but we're probably gonna go to Egypt, Malta and London, for like a day thing. Like I said, not too overly excited about Italy, but oh well. I'm mainly looking forward to Japan. There's an Irish pub behind our hotel and a KFC in front of it. Chicken and beer: I'm set! It'll be like I never even left home.
I'm bringing my laptop and might get access to wireless internet every now and then, but not often. I won't be able to check my mod queue once a week. I get back Febuary 4 2010, and I hope it's still gonna be warm here when I get back. I can't stand the thought of losing Summer. It's gonna be a hot one this year, I can tell. It's only November now and it's already hit 42 degrees celcius. Damn gradual yet inevitable heating of the Earth's core! I really shouldn't have watched 2012.- Posted Nov 28, 2009 3:21 am PT

When I'm Sad, I Stop Being Sad And Be Awesome Instead
True story. Alcohol helps though.
Lots and lots of it. The past 2 weeks I've been drowning in a sea of booze, cigs and McDonalds. I don't think I could get any fatter. It's disgustingly awesome.
Uni is as directionless as always. I have no idea what I'm doing there. Such a huge waste of time.
BUT a good thing is, that the many hours a day I spend at uni, just waiting for my next class, I've got some great podcast listening done! I think I've listened to at least 40 hours of podcasts. Mainly Kim's "Upside Down and Halfway to Happyland" podcast. It's pretty good. I just finished all the episodes today, and I'm waiting for part 2 of the "Restless" discussion to be released in a couple of days.
It's a pretty good show. It's introduced to some stuff which I'm looking forward to checking out. Like Buffy Between the Lines which is an audio drama podcast that I think takes place in between the Buffy seasons. I've been told it's pretty funny.
I also just recently (through a Whedon news podcast called "Joss'd!" which pretty much talks about everything Joss Whedon, and everyone he's ever looked at...) heard about a new internet sci-fi/musical/comedy webseries called Cabonauts! Every episode will guest star some cool sci-fi actor person. And they'll randomly burst into song. The first episode has Miracle Laurie and James C. Leary, who played Clem on Buffy. Click here to watch the trailer on dailymotion.com.
Also, EVERYBODY needs to check out The Spuffy Song. But be warned: it will be stuck in your head allll day and allllll night. You'll be singing it on the bus. Speaking of, there was a guy on my bus today, who obviously had something wrong with him, singing at the very top of his lungs. I felt bad for him, and was kinda afraid of him too, but it was just so funny. I looked at some guy sitting across for me and we just burst out laughing.
One final thing, before I bore you all, if you love Neil Patrick Harris, check out this youtube video. It's a very very awesome song.
And now, just 'coz I can, here's a lolcat:
