I think we need to lose the whole "everyone's a winner" thing that America has come to love, because it some cases it just doesn't cut it. I love Dancing with the Stars, and seem unable to stop watching it. It's so much fun. But I feel that America needs to reconsider what they are doing. The suspense of the show is great because you never really know who is going to go next. But I feel that personalities aren't enough to propel a person forward in a competition, or at least it shouldn't be. Imagine going to an ice-skating competition and watching one particular skater with little experience clumsily make her way around the ice. Imagine that she had a mic, and was telling jokes along the way and doing silly, yet stupid tricks, that constantly landed her butt on the ice. Imagine if that person won. How unfair would that be to the other people who worked just as hard, but had more talent? Imagine that they had been honing their skills for months, even years to get that far, and then lost the medal to someone who only won because of her personality...because she charmed the crowd. How much do we love people for simply trying something? It's a noble deed, but those with the true talent might as well not even bother trying to really do the job well if it doesn't really matter. Hard work should be rewarded for sure, but doesn't talent count for something? Getting out there and dancing well doesn't come to everyone easily, and I will always have the back of the person who can go out there and naturally put on a good show. Someone who is nearly professional should never be pushed aside.

I can't wait to see the Dancing with the Stars semi-finals!! I can't believe I've been watching this season for this long. I guess that is because it only has 11 episodes!! I wonder who is going to go this week. I really hope it isn't Joey. He's my mom's favorite. Emmitt seems to have the crowd though. When it gets down to the final people, that's when voting gets uber-tough. I like everyone, but if i had to choose one person, it would be Emmitt, then Joey. I think Mario should win, but then Joey's actually pretty good too, so I have no idea. It just depends on the dances. I only have 1 more week before I can edit and post my new review. I did one for last year, but each year is different and I feel differently about the show now.
