I'm in love with Jim Halpert.

    Man...if he was real...

I can't wait for the Office to return on the 25th!!!!!!!!!!!! *squeeeee*

you guys should check it out on NBC. XD

edit: I had to pick between buying the Office Season 4 DVD and the Avatar Season 3 Boxset today...i was so torn...

I ended up buying the Office for now, (so i could rewatch the episodes before the season 5 premiere) and i'm skipping dinner for the next couple of weeks to save money to buy the Avatar DVDs....i wish i had enough money to buy both.

I know that sounds crazy...but i've never actually met someone that was a zutarian IRL.

But here i am, wasting away on facebook, when i notice one of my friend's status message said "***** is full of Aangst" so i thought...'hmmm....could it be?'

So i go to her page, and lo and behold, an Iroh quote. I message her about it, asking if she liked the show..

and here we are, weeks later discussing/arguing kaatang/zutara during practice.

it's awesome. XD (she won't admit defeat though. *sigh*)

So apparently, i'm the only girl at my college that didnt come here soley for an MRS degree.

It makes me laugh how dumb girls can be for even dumber boys...

And if you don't know what an MRS degree is...its not that hard to figure out.......but, whoever gets what an MRS degree is first gets these cookies.

    sooo...turns out i gotta get off my butt and start working hard. dang. so, to give you guys an idea about why i won't be here...well...here is my schedule;

    MWF

    8: english

    9: music theory

    10: chapel

    1-3: band

3-4: private lesson(one on monday, one on friday, 2 different teachers)

    4-6 marching band

    TR

    9: christian scriptures

    11: Piano

    2: musicianship

    4: Studio Class

    7:30-9 Studio Class

Also, keep in mind, that my private teacher told me today that if i'm not practicing 6 hours a day, i'm not going to be able to keep up and he'll drop me. And on top of that i have to practice piano an hour a day for a grade.

So now i'm getting up early to pracitce in the morning, and staying up there late to practice at night, and practicing through lunch and my breaks to get it all done.

    ....

And is it crazy that i love it?

    ----

so ya. that's where i am. I'll be on here on the weekends though, so dont let the forums die! Avatar forever!

    ---

also, on an lulz factor, our football team lost 41 to 13 yesterday. Sic 'Em?

edit: here is a pic of the football game taken on my phone.

I also have a picture of my foot, and it explains why i have to limp when i walk and why i cant march correctly. Oh by the way, i hurt my foot. lol. Its nasty though, so i'm not gonna post it to spare everyone. (if you really want to know, yesterday i walked to all of my destinations, had a 2 hour rehearsal, and then wasnt allowed to sit down the entire game, and during the day i ran the track, so i developed a nasty blister right on the ball of my right foot...not my left foot though which is weird..anyways, its gigantic and ive never had one of those before, and it sucks and i walk with a limp now.)

    aw!

A kindergarden student told his teacher he'd found a cat, but is was dead. "How do you know that the cat was dead?" she asked him. "Because i pissed in its ear and it didn't move," answered the child innocently. "You did WHAT?" the teacher exclaimed in surprise. "You know," explained the boy, "I leaned over and went 'Pssssst!' and it didn't move."

    ________

A little girl goes to the barber shop with her father. She stands next to the barber chair, while her Dad gets his hair cut, eating a snack cake. The barber says to her, "Sweetheart, you're gonna get hair on your Twinkie." She says, "yes i know, and i'm gonna get boobs, too."

    ______

One day the first grade teacher was reading the story of Chicken Little to her class. She came to the part where Chicken Little warns the famer. She read "...and Chicken Little went up to the farmer and said 'the sky is falling!'" The teacher then asked the class, "And what do you think the farmer said?" One little girl raised her hand and said, "I think he said: Holy $h%t! A talking chicken!"

    ____

When i was six months pregnant with my second child, my three year old came into the room as i was preparing to get into the shower. She said "Mommy you are getting fat!" I replied, "Yes, honey, remember Mommy has a baby growing in her tummy." "I know," she replied, "but what's growing in your butt?"

    ___

A couple had two little boys, ages 8 and 10, who were excessively mischievous. They were always getting into trouble and their parents knew that, if any mischief occurred in their town, their sons were probably involved.

They boys' mother heard that a clergyman in town had been successful in disciplining children, so she asked if he would speak with her boys. The clergyman agreed, but asked to see them individually. So the mother sent her 8-year-old first, in the morning, with the older boy to see the clergyman in the afternoon.

The clergyman, a huge man with a booming voice, sat the younger boy down and asked him sternly, "Where is God?".

They boy's mouth dropped open, but he made no response, sitting there with his mouth hanging open, wide-eyed. So the clergyman repeated the question in an even sterner tone, "Where is God!!?" Again the boy made no attempt to answer. So the clergyman raised his voice even more and shook his finger in the boy's face and bellowed, "WHERE IS GOD!?"

The boy screamed and bolted from the room, ran directly home and dove into his closet, slamming the door behind him. When his older brother found him in the closet, he asked, "What happened?"

The younger brother, gasping for breath, replied, "We are in BIG trouble this time, dude. God is missing - and they think WE did it!"

One summer evening during a violent thunderstorm a mother was tucking her small boy into bed.

She was about to turn off the light when he asked with a tremor in his voice, "Mommy, will you sleep with me tonight?"

The mother smiled and gave him a reassuring hug. "I can't dear," she said. "I have to sleep with Daddy."

A long silence was broken at last by his shaking little voice, "The big sissy."

    _____

A man was helping one of his cows give birth, when he noticed his 4-year-old son standing wide-eyed at the fence, soaking in the whole event. The man thought, "Great...he's 4 and I'm gonna have to start explaining the birds and bees. No need to jump the gun - I'll just let him ask, and I'll answer."

After everything was over, the man walked over to his son and said, "Well son, do you have any questions?"

"Just one." gasped the still wide-eyed lad. "How fast was that calf going when he hit that cow?"

So monday was teriffying. Lots of stuff happened that made it awful. Everything was so overwhelming...its still overwhelming...but that first day especially. plus add to the fact i didnt have my phone to contact my parents or anyone else, it was just very upsetting.

However, as the week went on, it's definitely gotten better. My roomate is pretty awesome, i've made lots of friends (despite me being immensely shy), and i've gotten more used to the campus (but i still keep getting lost!)

So here are pros of this week:

    -my section. they are awesome!

-the broom dance. long story short, my initiation into my section. (quite a clever game)

-practices. they are so hilarious, nothing like high school. its so much fun!

-my room. even though its tiny, i think its so cute! I love my dorm room.

-performing at the pep rally. despite me almost falling down, it was hilarious and so much fun. there is so much school spirit, its crazy!

-boy/girl dorm mating rituals. at least thats what it seemed like. That was so funny! All the boys from every dorm came to sing romantic songs to our dorm. Oh man...it was funny. I got out of there after the second group of boys though. My goal in going to college isn't to find a mate.

-boys that don't wear shirts during practice. need i say more?

    Cons:

    -community showers. gross...

-elevators. im on the 6th floor, and the elevators are always so busy!

-my audition. i sucked. damn nerves...

-the girls in my dorm. apparently im in the snobby dorm, all the girls here are driving me crazy.

-buying books. robbed my bank account dry.

-getting lost. even with a map i end up in the wrong place.

-saying bye to my family. hardest thing i've ever done in my life...

-getting rained on in practice, and still being forced to stay outside and practice. I'm still physically recovering.

-getting hit on. you boys are all the same.

-the boys that don't wear shirts during practice. most of them should wear shirts.

So school officially starts for me tomorrow. 4 of my classes are in exactly the same place. (i'll probably get lost anyways XD) so i should be alright. I'm nervous that things will be crazy hard, but every freshman is in the same boat as me. I seem to have forgotten that when i first came here.

To everyone else going off to college soon: i wish you luck. Everything does indeed get better, no matter how scary it might be at first.

    no bueno.

i'm too busy right now to explain, but it was no good at all...

I'm sure everyone has heard about the Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince movie being pushed back 8 months (from this November to next July).

And we thought Avatards hated Viacom...i have never seen this much hatred for one company from literally millions of people before. I have to say, its entertaining. (I also have to add: I despise Alan Horn. wtf man. w.t.f. As if devestating millions of HP fans with changing the release date wasn't enough, you have to tell the fans that you've already seen it and that its amazing and ready to be played in November, but you want more money so youre pushing it back EIGHT months? "We love our fans." YA RIGHT Don't insult us.)

This is Avatards vs Viacom to a whole new level that i didnt even know existed.

Am I the only one that didn't read that book?

Who needs to fall in love with fictional characters when you got real peoplez?

not me. I don't need Edward Cellon.

I'll just watch HP 4 for Cedric Diggory.

Has anyone else read/refuses to read that book?

Edit: Thesse are Wise's words, not mine. Please give him credit for this and not me, i'm just a messenger.

Please see the post that we are reffering to here, it is the last post of the DanMod thread made by TVcom_Moderator: http://www.tv.com/avatar-the-last-airbender/show/28841/me-you-and-this-forum/topic/13281-1124935/msgs.html?page=14&tag=board_topics;page_last;6 I would post it, but it would make this blog waaaay too long.

a more specific answer from them, and one where we can discuss things with them

they told us who are the moderators

YIKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they have less "global moderators" than even here, and editors are very specific, and even at that, some "mods" (Editors) have big forums(High00lord) or are highly diluted (SPD) with having many forums to take care of

for more reason I think is appropriate for each Editor to have at least 2 assistants(which is different than "trusted" who are able to contribute without the editor having to approve their entries) and who should not depend on how many points of contribution they have to each particular forum

they gave now a more reasonable reason of why banning Lisa; but if they had explained from the start, they might have stopped the outrage that happened later, which resulted in many casualties(KA, Raien, YJ, and others) and many injuries (Brady, Deeduck, Creagan and others)

and I wish they would acknowledge that later on, when measures to stop that possibility of the impostor gaining access again have been taken by Lisa; than they would allow her to have another account

U was wondering what they mean by "* Any image that causes a scroll bar is a Disruptive Posting. This can mess up certain browsers on certain settings."?

as I said many times, it is more disruptive an image of 100 by 100 that is 25000 KB than one of 400 by 400 that is 10 KB

was not sure if the "scroll bar" itself is the cause of "messing up certain browsers on certain settings" but DrAvatar said it did in certain computers

so we must accept the settings

only issue is that sometimes a sig that is "200" height causes a scroll bar anyway, so they should say "200" is the limit, but allow up to 205, as sometimes the "200" might be 200.0025 pixels, and that .0025 causes the scroll bar

we need to make sure to tell all members to follow most of the rest

1- no posts where they simply say "bump"

2- think before quoting anything, as we get liable for anything in the quotes

3- if there is any thread that is in itself disruptive, don't keep it alive, reported it(but this also shows the important for editors to have assistants as sometimes these threads stay there for hrs)

4- don't fight any posts made by a noob or troll(but this also shows the important for editors to have assistants as sometimes these posts stay there for hrs)

5- in before the lock, do they mean posts with "in before the lock" or images saying that and practically nothing else? or will they include posts like this "before this gets locked, I got to say that this subject has been discussed in another thread"; and to be fair, most of those **** posts should be taken care of if members followed rule number 3 and in some cases rule 4

now about the "one can get reported or regulated for things weeks earlier; people grow up, many times one has forgotten even that they did "whatever"; they should in some cases if the poster has shown to now be a "good member" consider PM that member and ask him or her to either delete or edit that post

and in some cases. we might get the "punished twice for same crime"

we can get a member who said

    member 1= "!#!#@$@ member 2"

    member 2= "calm down please"

M1 = "why you telling me to calm down, you !@# $#@$$ #$$%"

Member 1 gets reported for the last post, and that is taken down and he gets TOS, weeks later someone sees the first post and reports, member 1 than gets basically another TOS for something he was already punished for

Technically we could read every single thread, and look for any posts that says just "bump" and report them, if it has not been picked up for a whole week, than those cases (Bump) should be forgotten

we should also consider discussing this with whichever members of the Loyalist committee who are here at the refuge, so than they can discuss at their thread at TV.com

also I will quote what I wrote last December

    WiseLad wrote:
we have to be also forgiving

for example if someone starts a thread about Ursa and the white lotus, we should forgive that person for not knowing there is a thread buried in page 3 or deeper than that

and I have noticed many times that some people DO ASK in the pinned ask questions, but it might be like post 3458, and than 3461 starts a new page, and no one notices that question, or many people see a Q that they don't got any idea how to answer, take the time to at least post "i don't got any idea, there has no been enough info in the episodes to answer that questions" instead of not saying anything at all

that is why they do a new thread with a Q, and from time to time those Qs become a real good thread

I am not saying we should give a lot of freedom to people, just saying we should be firm but flexible

we also need to ask the staff to change the "default setting" of topics(list of threads) per page from 20 to either 40 or 50, the extra topics should not harm any computers since there are no extra images, many of us are too lazy to change settings, and sometimes thanks to the pinned topics, people only see 10 to 12 threads, and don't take the time to see page 2 or 3, this way they would have what is basically page 2 and maybe half of page 3 in the "20 topics" setup

Please leave any questions, comments, or suggestions here, so we can all work together to make this forum a better place.

So i'm bored, i figured i would list my top 10 obsessions as of this moment. They are not in any particular order.

    1. Jim Halpert. I know he is a fictional character...but dang...i love him. XD

    2. Milk. I can drink it with every meal, and i drink it straight. You heard me right. i.drink.milk.without.anything.else. (i dont get how people call me crazy )

    3. Harry Potter. The trailer just came out, and i am soooo excited for the movie.

    4. The Hush Sound. Awesome band. I can listen to them forever. (i have their autographs!)

    5. The Office. I can't wait for the new season! So many things were left open with the season 4 finale. I can't wait to see some question answers.

    6. The gym. Why must there be a gym right next to my house? Every time i drive home i feel quilty if i dont go.

    7. Facebook. I can't ever get off that thing.

    8. Chick-fil-a. My favorite restaurant! I always get the same, a #1 no pickles with a lemonade.

    9. The "thats what she said" joke. I always somehow manage to fit it in my daily conversations.

    10. Avatar. dur. I've seen the finale so many times, and each time it just gets better.

So tonight was the most massive account suicide and forum destruction these MODs will probably ever see. Gotta say...that was freakin crazy. This forum was a complete and utter mad house.

Good for everyone now taking Refuge, but I myself will not. As much as I love Avatar and love this community, and would love Summer to continue forever, it isn't. With college creeping up around the corner for me, I really won't have that much time to spend online. Plus, by the time I actively started posting here at tv.com, everyone had left. I don't personally know any of the "vets", or anyone else there, and unfortunately won't ever get the chance to. (doesn't matter though, i'm just a "newb")

I was planning on spending these next few weeks of Summer here with the friends I had made on tv.com, but it would look as if there is not going to be anybody left. I will still come here, if anyone else is, but it looks like that's not going to be the case.

  • 19Jul 08

I can't believe the finale will be on tonight. I am so excited, it's hard to contain myself.

This series has really touched me in a way that no other show has. It's deep storytelling, intense action sequences, loveable characters, amazing music, and comedic hilarity, has made me love this more than anything I ever have before. The plot is just so epic and well told, and the characters are so heartfelt and genuine, that I am sad this will be my last night speculating what is going to happen. There is no doubt in my mind this will be an amazing end to this epic adventure, and I am sad to see it go, but so happy to finally get to this point. Once it is all over, I know we will all be able to say that this series is truly different than any other.

I am sad that the epic journey has come to a close. Not only with Avatar, but with all the people here too. It really is cool to see how many people can bond together over one amazing show, and even become friends. The Avatar fandom has truly amazed me. Their ferocity and passion for the show really comes through, and has been noticed by Bryke and others. It is touching to see how intense people can get arguing for their ship or for a theory, and how thrilling it is to get in the fight. Just to see this many people all amazed and excited about the same show that I am excited for is simply amazing. I hope none of us will every forget this adventure, not only in Avatar, but from the interwebz as well.

And with that, I would like to congratulate Princess and Maddo on their wedding.I hope you two are truly happy together, until ban do you part. And to also say that I love toosmooth very much. *blows kiss*

Also, Spacerac wants to add: "It has been an amazing, wonderful, beautiful journey that is coming to a hard fought end. This show will live on forever in our minds and in our hearts, and we'll reminicse when we pass our Season sets to our kids in the future, who'll no doubt love it as much as we did. Here's lookin at you, Aang"

  • 16Jul 08

Whats up with people putting spoilers all over the place? I have resisted the book for this long, and have waited for forever for the finale, why are you trying to spoil it for me and every one else here?

All I have to say is: Shame on you. As a fellow Avatard, Shame. On. You.

  • 15Jul 08

So I made a new icon. XD I love love love it. I know its from a day dream, but I don't care. *squee*

HOLY MACRAL the new commercial is amazing. I've watched it about 20 times. I went out in my backyard and screamed I was so excited. Oh man, I'm not sure I can wait until Saturday. *fangasms repeatedly* I am beyond excited. I need to contain myself...

    sfdk;jshfiejfrskm

edit: I would also like to add that watching that commercial over and over again has cause me to stay up until 4:30. I am so excited, I literally can not sleep.
