    Tis the season to be...Thankful!!

Ahhh...It's that time of year again where the relatives and family get together for the traditional holiday feast known as, Thankgiving. When everyone remembers what He/She is thankful for. This year I'm going to be having two feasts! (WOOP!! I'm going to be full!!) One tomorrow and one on saturday for both sides of the family.

As the gamespot community is not exactly able to get together and have a feast, I would like to know what you guys are thankful for. I personally am thankful for being alive, and for having such supportive friends and family.

Everyone jsut say what you're thankful for in the comments and have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!

    noooooooooo!!!! why me!?!?

    NOOOO!!!!!!! Why?!?!

My computer is so screwed over! I had this virus that was limiting what I could do on the internet (no youtube, yahoo, google, facebook, had to go to UK myspace when I'm in US) that kinda thing. Okay, well to get rid of it, my dad suggested that I wipe my computer and reinstall Windows. That was because none of my anti-spyware or anti-malware would detect anything. This computer is easily 7 years old and has been refurbished in the past. I wipe the computer, everything is fine. I reinstall Windows. I had Windows XP Professional. But Dad only had Windows XP Home edition. Okay, nowit's installed. I restart the computer.

    And everything...

    IS UGLY!!!

I can't go above 640x480 4-bit resolution and color. I use to have it in 1078x768 256 resolution and color. My computer should be able to handle this! I try to raise the resolution and nothing does anything. I look online, I try troubleshooting. Nothing works. "Okay," I say to myself," I can deal with this resolution if I can still play my games."

I install one of my games. Rome Total war. It's installed, and it doesn't work. The freaking resolution is "Too Small"!! The same thing with my other games!!!

Then I look online again. Find some guy with the same problem.

The solution? Reinstall my drivers for my graphics card and/or monitor.

Oh, Those? Oooohh..the ones that guy on Ebay that I bought this computer from, the guywho refurbished this computer? Oh, he hasthose...WHAT?!?! You're kidding!!

I have said in one of my previous blogsthat I'm going to be getting a new computer, but that'sgoing tobe in like 2 months! GAAHH!! Okay, I'm a freaking nerd who loves gaming. Most of you can relate to this. And I can go a while without gaming, but two months?!? Are you serious?! *sigh*...

And as I write this, it's in 4-bit. very...very... pixilated.

I felt I had to rant about this somewhere to somebody. Thank you for reading my worthless blog haha

    Really Gamespot?

Are you serious!? Are there really this many good games coming out in so little a time? If you scroll down to the bottom of the main page, look at all the editor's choices! Seriously! We go for a long time without really any groundbreaking gaming and then BAM! End of 2009 beginning of 2010, we get lots of great games! Or so it seems. Is it just me being weird or are there really this many games that are coming out that are worthwhile? AndI was beginning to think that the industry was running out of ideas. There may still be hope!
