I don't like Don Mattrick (new ms guy)
So now E3 is over and now Microsoft's new guy seams to be bloating.
I just recently read an article on kotaku where he basically says that MS were the only ones that showed up. In this article he talks about how Sony and Nintendo disappointed. Now I would totally agree with this, but I think all three tanked this year including Microsoft. I also don't like how he is saying that 360 is going to outsell ps3, during the conference, but they cant even get a solid market share in Japan. He also completely forgot to mention that ps3 has been outselling 360, and Ps3 has a more solid lineup for the next year or so. He seams to be really cocky towards Sony, and right now he just seams to be asking for it.
None of it matters anyways since Nintendo is destroying them all in sales.
In my opinion Sony won this year not by much, but microsoft comes out in second with Nintendo trailing far behind.
I did not like Nintendo, because of lack of any games that I want. I did not see a thing this year that I would spend my money on, maybe Animal crossing at 20 bucks.
Microsoft didn't actually show me anything new, besides the dashboard update. The announcement of FF13 does not affect me at all. I will still buy it on PS3, since it is one of the titles I bought my PS3 for. Other than that they didn't show me anything new that I can remember, it was mostly multi-plats and demos of games that were already anounced. Gears 2 looks like Gears 1 which isn't bad, but I don't know if I will invest 60 dollars in a new Gears. The only big game I want to get at launch that was shown is Fable 2.
Sony wasn't too much better, but they did show new games that I remember. MAG is a great concept, and hopefully they can pull it off. Really sad about not hearing anything from Naughty Dog, but I want to get the new PSN Ratchet as soon as I can, so my second favorite Sony studio is doing good. I want to get LittleBigPlanet, and Fat princess looks fun. The big games that I want to get at launch include, inFAMOUS and God of War 3.

I'm in Dallas
My sister moved here so I had to drive 1000 miles from wisconsin to help her unpack. When we got here she was done and it is currently 106 degrees, which is not cool with me. All I have been doing since I got here is sitting in her apartment playing Halo 3 while my parents go shopping with her. It was basically a long drive to play Halo and I missed the Batman release.

pic of my new collection and ps3 trophies impressions
Well this is what my new collection looks like. Much smaller, but in much better shape.

Since my last blog i have purchased two new games; Dead Rising and Zack & Wiki: quest for Barbaros' Treasure. My sister is moving to Texas so she gave me her old tv. It's one inch bigger, but i now have stereo sound, and the lowest level of HDTV.
I have Gained 35 more achievement points which are all for Halo, and I have 5 more trophies.
Now that I have gained a third of the trophies available I feel I can now judge the trophy system on my experience so far. I like the leveling up system and I think it will work very similar to having a point number. I also like how they have different levels of trophies which keeps them very uniform throughout the whole service. The bad part of this new system is the lack of games compatible. I think that when 2.4 came out they should have had a patch for one of the AAA first party titles. The night it came out I stayed up just to see if I could get a couple trophies before I fell asleep, and then I was very disappointed to learn that none of my games are compatible. Then shortly after I learned that the only that will be for sure is Uncharted.
Besides the lack of compatibility I find this system very well done. I wish it had more games compatible, but I will give this system a 7/10 with a ten being live. Once more games are compatible it will be just about at par with the live achievements.
Now Playing; Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Castlevania, Halo 3.
