Movie of February 2007

Movie: Night At The Museum
Genre: Comedy
Directed By: Shawn Levy
Starring: Ben Stiller, Dick van Dyke Mickey Rooney, Jake Cherry, and others
Year: 2006

Finally, the film has comed to Sweden! Ben Stiller does it again, he is the perfect actor for this kind of movie. The story is not new or anything, but the way it is done is enough. One of the best comedies this year without any doubts. It contains a lot of typical parts which a great comedy needs: funny jokes, actions and a good story. Very good camera work too. So if you have not seen it yet, I recommend you to do it.

HALO 3 beta

This has actually nothing to do with my original movie/music/novell blog. But I have to announce it somewhere.

A couple of days ago I recieved a message that I am 1 of the original 100 people from Sweden that will have the opportunity to test the HALO 3 beta. But as we all know, everyone who buys Crackdown will have this too.

But that's not exactly what I am going to discuss. I will do my duty as a beta tester and help Bungie to make HALO 3 an even better game, if I can. I will also, if I am not directly told that it is prohibited, to record my playings and photos, and post them here on my profile. Let us hope that I will be allowed to do that.

I can not wait until I will be able to play Snowbound, Valhalla and High Ground. Hear from me later, regarding this, when I have more information.

Movie of January 2007

Movie: Déjà Vu
Genre: Action/Sci-Fi
Directed By: Tony Scott
Starring: Denzel Washington, Paula Patton, Val Kilmer, Adam Goldberg, and others
Year: 2006

When I first saw the trailer of this movie, I thought "Wow, this will be a great movie!". Now it have been shown here in Sweden, finally. My first reaction when I saw it then was that it had a too slow start. But the work with camera and composing the pictures were fantastic. And with a story that became more complicated, and twists that raised questions about time travell the story became a masterpiece. The discussion of how far we shall go to change the past, if it will be available in the future, is interesting and is shown in a new perspective in "Déjà Vu. I recommend that you understand, at least a little, the law of physics and slipspace if you want to really enjoy the movie. Otherwis it may rise som questions. Especially the end will make no sense if you do not.

08 - Protests Song '68
09 - Refused Are **** Dead
10 - The Shape Of Punk To Come
11 - Tannhauser / Derive
12 - The Apollo Programme Was A Hoax

An album from the Swedish punk/hardcore band "Refused" with mixed feelings. Overall is this album very good, even though some of the songs are horrible. But most of the songs are quality punk songs and makes the album that perfect as it is. With the high tempo and the mixing between screaming and singing in the lyrics, many songs are outstanding, espcecailly "New Noise", "The Deadly Rythm" and "Liberation Frequency". A really calm ending with "The Apollo Programme Was A Hox" are exactly what the album needed too.
