Woah. Time passes fast. I meant to do something again. Really. But I've been busy, especially this month with NaNoWriMo. Guess I should get moving again soon with what I had planned. Which I still have in a Notepad document somewhere on my computer. Let's hope it happens real soon. I'll try to post periodic updates anyways.

Oh, and I'm three points away from becoming the editor for Quarterlife , the new web series. Which makes me happy because it gives me something to do beside HGTV shows. xD Which is funny. Because I really don't watch HGTV except for Design Star in the summer.

Ahkay, that's it for now. Hopefully I'll be back sooner than you think with a little enjoyment for everyone.

'ello! Long time, no see. I sort of disappeared from the blogging area of TV.com for a long while and such. Shame on me. But I'm brewing something that I just thought of five minutes ago. So it had a 23% chance of falling through and never happening. Which is what always seems to happen with me. So, to entertain you as a placeholder, I have a picture of a rabbit dancing:

    Dance, rabbit, dance!

And a couple of interesting factlets...

    1. If you yelled for 8 years, 7 months and 6 days, you would have produced enough sound energy to heat one cup of coffee.
    2. Cats make over 100 different vocal sounds; dogs can make about ten.
    3. The cigarette lighter was invented before the match.
    4. Butterflies taste with their feet.
    5. Starfish don't have brains.
    6. The liquid inside young coconuts can be used as substitute for blood plasma.
    7. American Airlines saved $40,000 in 1987 by eliminating 1 olive from each salad served in first-c l a s s.
    8. On average people fear spiders more than they do death.
    9. TYPEWRITER is the longest word that can be made using the letters only on one row of the keyboard.
    10. A crocodile cannot stick its tongue out.
Ta-da, folks. Just as a note: There's a 25% chance I may not have internet access for the next week (oh noes!) but don't worry -- chances are I most likely will. Going to Florrriiida! -puts on sunblock and sandals-

So it's been a while, hasn't it?  I've been busy with school and such and this past weekend I've had a bundle to do with the holiday celebrations.  I've really been meaning to post here.  And I actually want to.  I want to write about the Kate/Juliet catfight and the finale of Prison Break.  I just can't seem to bring myself to actually do it.  xP

And I decided to do something different.  Starting (hopefully) Wednesday, I'll post a blog.  But it'll be a little different than before.  I'll make it easier for me to write and much more fun for you to read.

Or at least that's what I'm planning.

Don't shoot me if I get sidetracked.

Anyways.  Happy Easter and to all a good night.  -hops off-

EDIT: The next blog post will probably be up Wednesday around 4 or 5 EST. Because I thought I'd have time to do it tonight but I have to write a speech that I have to speak tomorrow for my public speaking c l a s s Yay. So yeah. Thus ends the edit.

Computer is spankin' new (well, no, it's not) and working. ^^ No files were lost and such and I'm hoping to be back on track with the blogging by Wednesday.

Wednesday's issue will contain everything that would've been in Friday, Monday's, and Wednesday's issue! So it should be huuuuuge. (Yay!)

    Until then. =)

I'm having some home computer issues so I'm not sure if I'll be able to get the blog entries up for a few days.  Hopefully the computer will be fixed by Wednesday (at least the compy people told me so) after it went kablooey (virus-like thing) and I'll post a mondo-sized blog entry to make up for it.

The only way I can get on a compy now is from school (where tv.com is blocked) and my grandmother's house.  So I probably won't be on.  xP

Jeepers.  Oh, well.  Hopefully I'll be able to give a big hey-ho when  I can get on again.

It seems that the past week or two have been quite busy for me around the end of the week and, because of that, I think I'm going to push the release of the Friday blog up to Saturday so I can have a little more time to write it, as it's usually the biggest of the week.

    M'kay?  Yeah.  Errf, I'm hungry.

    Introduction

Yup, I'm sort of bad at introductions today so let's see where I can start this up. Going to be a good issue. Got a 24 review, American Idol commentary, and the usual Buffy review. A little short of an issue but I'll try and make it up to you on Friday.

And yeah. Lets just get to it.

    On Last Night

    Prison Break
    "Panama" (2.20)
    9.5 out of 10

Prison Break is getting exceptionally good as the season winds down to its final episodes. Everything we've been building to is culminating and everything we've been wondering is coming together. This episode seems really good and I think it can only get better.

I loved T-Bag's obsession with the strippers. He's such an interesting character and, even if you hate the things he does, he pulls them off so well and you're fascinated by him. (At least I am.)

I also love how everyone is now in Panama (or heading there, in Mahone's case) and it seems everything will happen in Fin Del Camino. I also found it really clever how Michael had the Greek letters in the sketches of the tattoos and it led him from step to step. Really cleverly plotted and I thought that was so cool how that was tied together.

And that's really it. I know there's a lot of fodder for discussion in this episode but I just can't collect my thoughts. Really great episode though and I'm looking forward to the remaining two in the second season.

    24
    "7PM - 8PM" (2.14)
    8.9 out of 10

Did anyone notice the really annoying fact that they totally ignored Logan's cliffhanger last week? I was like, "What?" Anyway, not a horrible episode but it really bothered me all the way through it that they didn't even mention Logan flatlining, which may have downed the grade a few points.

First: Audrey's dead! The wicked witch of the west is dead! Well, no she's not. I think that's pretty obvious. Or, at least, I think it is. She'll probably appear near the end of the season or as the mucho cliffhanger. Guess they needed a way to keep her off in case The Nine didn't bomb. (Which, sadly, it did.)

Nadia didn't do anything. I think Milo is the one leaking the information. Remember that there was the little issue in the beginning of the episode where Chloe scolded them for password-sharing so Nadia could get proper clearance.

And the dumb vice president! God, who's that stupid? I'm like practically steaming! How could anyone be as stupid to risk World War III just to not look like an ass for backing out of his original plan? This should be interesting.

The whole episode was, overall, really good and got me actually involved by yelling at the television when the VP was making stupid decisions and cheered when Tom grew a backbone and bit my nails as Jack tried to get the drone from not crossing the perimeter.

I'm looking forward to next week! Look like Karen's going to wake Wayne up. Wha-oh!

    American Idol
    "Top 11 Perform"
    4 drunken Paula's out of 5

Not much of an intro. Hopefully it'll be a good night. British invasion, baby.

    1. Haley Scarnato - I really liked her this week. Didn't I tell you she could do good? I think she just needs to project a little more and she could be a real threat to the rest of the competition if she just becomes a little louder.
    3.5 drunken Paula's out of 5

    2. Chris Richardson - Well, he just proved he can't sing by trying to show us he can sing. From his dumb facial expressions (constipated look!) to his screeching voice, he'll be the next VFTW pick once Sansucka is gone.
    2 drunken Paula's out of 5

    3. Stephanie Edwards - Eh, she was boring this week. Nothing too special but not bad enough to deserve a boot home.
    3 drunk Paula's out of 5

    4. Blake Lewis - Different side to Blake, somewhat similar to his first performance at the Top 24. I agree with the judges that it sounded very good and contemporary the way he changed it around.
    4.5 drunken Paula's out of 5

    5. Lakisha Jones - Best performance after her first but still better than what she's done before. Still hasn't impressed me after her first go around and I think that her welcome will wear off in a few weeks and she'll start to either really suck or really be good.
    4 drunken Paula's out of 5

    6. Phil Stacey - (First of all, he really creeps me out. Like, when he's on screen, he makes me feel uncomfortable.) His best performance yet but I still don't like him and he still really creeps me out and I hope he gets out tomorrow.
    3.5 drunken Paula's out of 5

    7. Jordin Sparks - Awesome. Simply awesome. If she doesn't make it to the Top 3, the show has no purpose. I absolutely love her!
5 drunken Paula's out of 5 [First score of five! Yay!]

    8. Sanjaya Malakar - What. The. Heck. The girl crying? AHAHA! Anyway, horrible. Probably his best performance. And that's not really a good thing. And the lights at the end were like...blinding. (And wow. Big reveal of the girl crying. A fan? Of Sansucka? Shoot me dead.)
    0.5 drunken Paula's out of 5

    9. Gina Glocksen - I loved it. Absolutely awesome. Not sure if its her best performance but it was absolute awesome and she's totally getting into her thing and I'd love her to win. (Blah on Randy and Simon. I usually agree with them but she was really, really good today.)
    4.5 drunken Paula's out of 5

    10. Chris Sligh - Not horrible. Not the worst performance of the night, anyhow. Think it could've been a little stronger, though. Probably safe for this week unless something happens like it did last week.
    3 drunken Paula's out of 5

    11. Melinda Doolittle - Great. A nice end to a really good night and I really hope that she wins. Melinda is awesome! Oh, yeah.
5 drunken Paula's out of 5 [Oh, yeah. Second five of the night.]

    DVDcapades

    Buffy the Vampire Slayer
    "As You Were" (6.15)
    8.6 out of 10

Riley's back. And his wife is fourty times cooler than Riley ever was. Sam is awesome! If she was in every episode, I would love every single second. Riley is ehh but the whole episode isn't as bad as people make it out to be. The demon story is dumb but it introduces a really good one-shot character.

The awkward interaction between Buffy and Riley is funny and I also like the relationship between Dawn and Riley. It seems strange, though, because even though Riley was around when we saw Dawn there, we really didn't see their chemistry or relationship on screen.

I like the conversations that Xander and Anya have with Sam about their wedding and what happened and such. Builds up to next episode when their wedding goes kablooey.

The whole episode is highly underrated and I really don't think it should have gone into the 7's for average rating on the website. Great mid-season episode that breaches the part between the beginning of the season and the end.

    TV.com

I actually did something this week. Let me repeat. I actually did something this week. I got the editorship for Color Splash and actually got a few submission. Actual submissions in my queue! Amazing. That's happened like once before that.

I taped the first two episodes and watched the first one for enjoyment and plan to watch the second soon and then go back and get quotes and trivia and such.

Feels good to get an editorship of an active show, even a small one like Color Splash.

    This and That

Well, we have an interesting American Idol video for you today! Starve for Sanjaya. Haven't heard of it? Click here to check it out!

    Absolutely hilarious. Discuss in comments.

    Your Voice

Well, it's that time again. Hopefully we get a few more comments this time. -puppy dog eyes-

First Question: Which do you think has been the most satisfying so far this season: 24 or Prison Break? (I was going to say Heroes but then that would be an obvious answer.)

Second Question: Do you think the Nielsen ratings system is fair?

    Outro

Ta-da! That's it for this lovely Wednesday. Have a next two days and I'll be back on Friday with Lost, Grey's, Bones, and AI result reviews. See you then and, please, remember to comment the blog.

    Introduction

Well, here we are. It's issue four and I'm feeling good. Let me tell you a little something about Monday entries: They're always going to be different. Always. Or, at least, for the next few weeks. Because there's no Desperate Housewives or Brothers & Sisters on until April so I have to scrounge up some things to keep you entertained.

Today, I've decided to do Lost. Why? Because it's an awesome show. And there's quite a few things I can do with it so here we goo.

    Lost -- Top Ten

(Note: The top four will have fullish reviews and the others will have reviewlets. Because I'm lazy today and don't feel like finishing them.)

    10. Maternity Leave (9.4 out of 10)
Loved the episode because of the flashbacks to the island in The Staff and Kate finding the DHARMA props and such.

    09. Two for the Road ( 9.4 out of 10)
While I'll admit it's overrated for the spectacular ending, I loved the Ana Lucia and Christian interaction and it gave us our first major evidence of the Jack/Claire family relationship.

    08. Walkabout ( 9.4 out of 10)
Great beginning episode and the awesome reveal of Locke being in a wheelchair in the flashbacks. I can't believe I didn't see that one coming after seeing him sitting down every flashback.

    07. Lockdown ( 9.5 out of 10)
Good mythology based episode and, of course, the introduction of the blast door map, which we still don't know everything about to this day.

    06. Pilot ( 9.5 out of 10)
The two parter that started it all. Absolutely amazing. Nice introduction to the series and awesome cliffhanger with "Guys, where are we?"

    05. Par Avion ( 9.6 out of 10)
Already wrote a review on this last issue. See below. =)

    04. ? (9.6 out of 10)
The introduction of the Pearl Station and an awesome island mythology based episode. Everything from the television monitors, the other orientation tape, and the printed numbers (that would be brought up again in the season finale) built on the islands' mystery and introduced key aspects to the series. The flashbacks weren't bad either.

    03. Flashes Before Your Eyes ( 9.6 out of 10)
The season three episode that reminded you that Lost could still be amazing and that the creators were still on track. This episode explained a lot (debatably) and left even more questions in the midst. It questions the whole reason for flashbacks and has kept doubt in my mind at certain points during other season three episodes when I think, "This could be happening right now in an alternate reality." and some such. Awesome acting from Cusik and an episode that second guesses everything we've learned beforehand.

    02. Exodus ( 9.7 out of 10)

The first season finale didn't answer as many questions as some had hoped but it certainly was an emotional episode. It had an awesome cliffhanger when the Others collected Walt from the raft and some awesome scenes with Danielle as well as Artz blowing up and the like. A great finale for the strong first season and only a taste of what was to come.

    01. Live Together, Die Alone ( 9.8 out of 10)

I couldn't ask for a more perfect season finale for Lost. It had everything you could possibly imagine after a riveting second season -- answers, questions, and a big explosion. The mysteries surrounding the hatch were answered and we got to see some major Desmond flashbackage. The episode also adds a lot of fodder for season three to work with, such as the turning of the key and the sky turning purple and such. Oh, and we can't forget the spectacular ending with the arctic research facility and the "OMG" moment when we see Penny and then the episode ends and we're all, "We have to wait five months for an answer?" An awesome episode and definitely the pinnacle of Lost's existence.

    Lost Theory - N&P

So, I know it's probably ridiculous and totally unplausablie and I have no proof to backup my theory (well, a little) but I was thinking about Lost in terms of Buffy a few nights ago and came up with a strange idea: what if Nikki and Paulo weren't always there? Now, we know the Others have brainwashing capabilities and such so we really don't know the full extent of their power.

I thought that somehow (maybe through the hatch explosion, sky turning purple thing?) the Others placed Nikki and Paulo on the Losties beach to be spies for them and that something brainwashed everyone on the beach to think that they were there all along.

Yeah, I know it sounds absurd but hear me out. The only really interesting piece of evidence I have to support this is Sawyer's comment to Nikki in 'Enter 77' when he says, "Who the hell are you?" Now, I know the line is hilarious and all that but could it possibly be that, because of the location of where Sawyer, Kate, and Jack were when the hatch exploded (or whatever else happened) they weren't effected by the Nikki and Paulo thing and thus, they don't know who they are?

And that's all I have. Yeah, really dumb theory and someone will probably shoot it down in a matter of seconds but ta-da! [Precede below for a blog section that's a little less of a filler.]

    DVDcapades

    Buffy the Vampire Slayer

    "Once More, With Feeling" (6.07)
    9.8 out of 10

Ah, the musical episode. The lovely, fun, and emotional music episode. I was trying to figure out how to order the review and I decided to do it by song because, well, it's all about the songs. But just before I get into the music part of things: this episode has awesome dialogue and a lot (read: extremely a lot) of funny lines that had me in stitches. (Some songs are excluded, like The Mustard Song and The Parking Ticket, because, while hilarious, they don't add much. But to get it straight, I love both songs.

Going Through the Motions - Nice opening song giving an insight into Buffy's emotions. I love the demons that are dancing and singing. Definitely not the strongest song but a good opening number.

I've Got a Theory / Bunnies / If We're Together - Hehe, I love this song. Xander's line is awesome and Anya's rock interlude is great. The Buffy part of the song is okay and sometimes when I listen to it I'll like it and other times I'll be completely turned off by it. Overall a really good song though.

Under Your Spell - Lovely Willow and Tara anthem. And I love the double meaning that becomes apparent later in the episode when Tara learns that Willow used the forgetting spell to make her forget thier fight. One of the best songs of the episode and Amber's vocals are really good.

I'll Never Tell - Love this song! I love the Xander and Anya bickering and their fear over their upcoming marriage, which is later displayed in 'Hell's Bells' and them hating (yet loving) their idiosyncrascies.

Rest in Peace - Spike's final plea to Buffy. I loved the funeral scene where he jumps up onto the casket and such. I still wonder why his chip didn't go off when he was attacking the people. I guess he didn't have the intention to hurt so it didn't go off.

Dawn's Lament/Ballet - Introduction to the villian (well, to the characters anyway) and a nice little dance sequence with Dawn and Sweet's minions.

What You Feel - Nice song though it isn't as much of a "breakaway pop hit" than a "book number". (Hehe.) And it annoys me when Dawn says her sister is the Slayer. God, what an idiot.

Standing - At first I didn't like the song but it really grew on me and it's probably one of my favorite songs. The first hint that Giles is leaving for good (well, somewhat) and ASH's vocals are awesome.

Under Your Spell / Standing - Aww. I felt so bad for Tara during this. Nice mixing of melodies, though.

Walk Through the Fire - The big "let's get together and go fight this thing" anthem and it's probably one of the best, if not the best, song in the episode. Willow's line cracks me up everytime ("I think this line's mostly filler") as well as Spike's confuson as to what to do with Buffy. High point of the whole episode.

Something to Sing About - Grand finale! (Well, long song wise.) I love the part (though it's not on the soundtrack) when Giles says to Anya and Tara, "She needs backup!" and they're like, "Of course!" Really good song and we have the shocking revelation that Buffy was in fact in heaven and then Spike stopping her from combusting and the real lead-up to the end of the episode.

What You Feel (Reprise) - Nothing much to say. Nice and it gave the episode it's title. (Well, other things did but it was said in this song.)

Where Do We Go from Here? - A nice wrap up song showing the little effects from Sweet that were left over for this final number. I love when Spike is all, "Bugger this" and leaves midway through the song.

Coda - Dum, dum, dummm! The kiss. Lovely intermixing of melodies all leading up to the grand finale of Spuffy in a fullon makeout session.

Ahh, such a good episode and shows how good (and fun!) Buffy can be.

    TV.com

I actually did something. Since I'm the editor of HGTV Design Star, I decided to snag the show of the winner (Color Splash). I currently have it but I just need for the update to happen tonight and then I can go about editing the guide to my own leisure.

And that's it! Oh, and I made level eleven. -happy dance-

(I really need to find something more interesting to put in here.)

    Your Voice

Ah-ha, a new section! Well, basically, this is to get a little more interactivity with the few people who read the blog and see what's going up with their views. So each blog (or most blogs, anyway, depending on how long they are) I'll pose two questions: one dealing with a specific show and one dealing with television in general. So here we goo! (I'll be answering and such in the comments so don't worry: you're not alone!)

First Question: Do you feel Lost has taken a turn for the worse in season three?

Second Question: What's your favorite TV show at the moment and why?

Okay, then. This should be fun!

    Outro

Well, that's it for this week. Hope you have a fun next few day's and I'll see you again on Wednesday with reviews of 24 and American Idol as well as another Buffy episode. And it should be especially good because it'll be the first episode I might not be raving about (depending on where I am in the season around Tuesday afternoon).

Toodles! =) I'm hoping to get to commenting/reading everyone's blogs more regularly so look out for some comments!

    Introduction

Attempt number two! It's a cold and
icy day where I am and I'm sheltering in the heat of my room while
typing out the third blog post, on a wonderful and special Saturday, no
less! I'm not ticked off anymore and I'm ready to rewrite the whole
darned thing and have fun with it. Who knows, maybe it'll come out
better this time than it did the first.

I'm just going to jump right into it here so I don't get caught up in talking about my problems. Okay, here we go. -jumps in-

    On Last Night

    Bones
"The Bodies in the Book" (2.15)
    9.5 out of 10

Another awesome episode from the whole cast of Bones. They
seem to be cranking out one great episode after the other and it
doesn't appear to be slowing down any. This episode was no different
and really captured my attention all the way through.

The case was quite captivating and I felt sympathy for
Brennan, who thinks she may have been the reason for the murders, and
the murders were quite a spectacle indeed. First of all: who doesn't
want to read the book now that we know what it's about? The case took
the three shocking murders from the book and they were displayed in
quite a gruesome manner. The rats, the fire ants, and the crabs (it
was crabs, wasn't it) all looked very frightening and unsettling. I
loved the end of the case, where it ends up that all three of the
suspects murdered a different person so that each of them would have an
    alibi. Awesome twist there.

The personal stuff this week seemed to be put slightly on the
back burner but the scenes with Sully and Brennan were...well, very
anger inducing. They should so not be together. I love Booth's
reaction to them kissing at the end as well as the bond that Sully and
Booth seem to have despite him dating Brennan. You could really see
that close bond they shared in this episode and it will probably become
apparent and useful later in the season. Oh, and I love the
Hodgins/Angela stuff and their chemistry is great. Don't you just love
    them as a couple?

Hodgins: Do you have any idea how tight a rat's rectum is?
Angela: Please tell me you don't.

    Overall,
a really good episode and I can't wait for next weeks. Looks pretty
good and Sully seems to be popping a question. Hmm. I highly doubt
    its that question, though.

    Lost

    "Par Avion" (3.12)
    9.6 out of 10

    Lost is
back, people. Lost is definitely back with this episode. The whole
episode was amazing and balanced the A story, B story, and the
flashbacks really well. Everything was interesting and I really think
everything is building up to some major bomb in a few episodes or so. Seems like a lot of momentum is building with the Charlie thing and
    such.

First, the beach story. It seems like this may be something
that we disregard for a while and it comes back and bites us in the ass
when, all of a sudden when we're ten episodes into season four, someone
comes to their rescue or (gasp) the same bird returns with another
note! Hmm. I liked the Claire and Sun interaction in this episode. I
could really feel the bond between them and like the fact that they're
    such good friends.

The jungle story was quite good this week. Now that they
found Othersville, disaster can only come. Loved the last moment, even
though I saw it coming because of spoilers. The "WTF" look on Kate's
face was worth the whole episodes rating when she saw Jack playing
football with the Others. But is it just me or is Locke really getting
on every ones nerves? He just seems to do everything wrong. Blew up
Patchy's lair, killed Patchy. God, how dumb can one man be? I can't
wait to see what the connection between Patchy and Locke are. Maybe
it'll be explained next episode. Or maybe not. But that should be a
mystery to keep tabs on in the future.

The flashbacks were really good this week. It was good to see
Christian again and even better that we finally confirmed (what
everyone knew) about the Jack/Claire half brother and half sister
connection. I loved the last flashback when Claire walked into the
room with her comatose mother and they did a throwback to the beginning
of the episode with the nature shows and she turned the TV on and was
all, "Don't the nurses know how much you like your nature shows?" and
    Claire crying was simply heartbreaking.

I can't wait for the next episode. If it's as good (or even a little below) this one, we're in for a fun ride!

    American Idol

    "Top 12 Elimination"
    3 black t-shirts out of 5

    I
can't say I'm really emotional about Brandon leaving. I mean, he was
good, sure, and he had some potential but I think the inevitable just
happened a little sooner than everyone was expecting. Brandon was
never going to make it too far in the competition and I think he even
knew that. I'm glad that Sanjaya didn't get offed this round because I
really want him to make it to the Top 10 so he can be on tour and suck
there too. And I'm glad Haley wasn't even in the Bottom Three because
I really think she has some potential and she just has to get over her
nerves and find her place on the American Idol stage.

Next weeks Top 11 should be good.

    Grey's Anatomy

    "Scars and Souvenirs"
    9.3 out of 10

    George
and Izzie slept together. Wow. I heard the rumors about a Gizzie
hookup but I really didn't believe them. I know this may be labeled as
a "jump the shark" moment but I really don't think it should be labeled
that at all. Sure, it's daring but the character dynamic it changes
should be interesting and it'll be even more interesting to see how
Callie reacts. At least they were drunk, though. Because Gizzie
without alcohol? I really don't think they could function.

Let's get onto the rest of the episode. I've loved Shohreh
Aghdashloo since I saw her on 24 and I was really excited that she was
making an appearance on Grey's. Her storyline was quite interesting
and I'm happy that Shepard was able to get the whole tumor out. The
competition for Chief also rose to a new level as Marlow enters the
game and the Chief seems to be leaning towards him to run it when he
steps down. Not really sure if I like the idea of adding another
character to the show that may have to play a major part but, now with
Addison leaving, someone needs to fill her spot.

    The
Meredith and father meet up went well and I liked the fact that
Meredith and Susan started to become almost friends and, by the end of
the night, they were talking as if they had known each other forever
and that there was no bad blood between them. Thatcher seemed to be
extra emotional this episode and I think he really connected with Mer. I hope both of them become a big part of the show for a while because
there are dynamics that could really use exploring regarding Mer's
relationship with her father. Also, did anyone else feel really bad
for Mer when her father was talking about the picture she was in and
him thinking it was his other daughter? I was like, oh word, poor
    Meredith.

And that's it. The Alex case with the Jane Doe wasn't much of
a prominent figure in this episode, though it did lead to the whole
fight between Addison and Mark in the hallway, which was interesting. And the WWII patient was blah, good enough I guess considering all the
other events happening in the episode. Oh, and Callie's an heiress!

    DVDcapades

    Buffy the Vampire Slayer

    "The Gift" (5.22)
    9.5 out of 10

    While
I've always thought this episode is highly overrated simply because of
the fantastic ending scene, it's well fitting for a WB sendoff and a
sendoff for Buffy into new territories and adventures.

The episode has to have one of the most heart wrenching
endings of all television history. When Buffy is telling Dawn goodbye,
you can't help but cry. And as she runs and jumps into the big
whoo-dig of mystical energy, you know your saying goodbye to both a
hero and a personal friend (through all the Buffy watching you've done
in the past five seasons). It's the perfect ending for a damn good
    episode.

I love the beginning of this episode almost as much as the
end. It really send BtVS back to its' vampire roots and shows Buffy
(with some hilariously sarcastic lines) fighting a vamp in the alley
behind the Magic Box. It really reminds you of what Buffy is usually
about and takes you out of the "oh my god the world is going to end"
phase and into the "oh, this is the vampire slaying I'm used to" phase
before jerking you back into the world of Glory and the key.

Tensions are high in this episode between Buffy and all of the
Scoobies as she defends Dawn and some of the best acting in the series
from ASH happens when Buffy and him are talking about Dawn and such.

    The
whole episode is an emotional roller coaster and is really the best
finale the show could have (well, besides the actual finale) and
wrapped up a great run on the WB.

    TV.com

Not much going on around these parts. Still keeping up with the posting and such but I've been busy watching Buffy and doing my massive amount of homework that seems to be piling up. Guess I'll be working on something this week. I should really get a new TV.com project to keep me occupied.

Reviewfestapalooza is going well. I'm enjoying writing the reviews so... you know, it's all fun.

Yeah. Shortened section today. Sorry about that.

    This and That

Found a video on Youtube that I thought was interesting. It's a toilet paper folder and dispenser.

    Wha?

Yeah, that's what I thought to. Though I'd never in my life think of using it, here it is.

    Clicky here!

And the end of the third issue has come. It really wasn't as much of a delay as I thought it would be and it came out more or less like it was to begin with. On Monday we'll have a mainly Lost themed blog with a theory of mine, my top 10 Lost episodes, and then a seemingly out of place Buffy review (I'm not sure which episode yet. Maybe OMWF.) Until Monday!

I'm a little ticked right now but I'll get over it. I started work on the blog when I got home from school.  Spent about two and a half hours on it in a Notepad file and then left for about twenty minutes to do some homework and I come back and the computer restarted itself and everything I worked on is gone.

I had a Lost review, Bones review, American Idol results reviewlet, a Buffy review, and a few other sections done and I had finished and everything.  It was long and juicy and good and I was planning on adding a Grey's Anatomy review after it aired and now it's gone.

So I can't rewrite it right now or anything because I'll get way too frustrated.  I really don't like doing things as large as this over.  Maybe I'll do something on Saturday that I'll post up or do a really big blog on Monday or something.

I don't know.  Damn, this pisses me off.  =(

    Introduction

Hello, everybody, and welcome to the second official blog post! Today we'll be covering quite a variety of topics including the upcoming McSpinoff, the latest 24 episode, my latest Buffy escapades, as well as some juicy little tidbits scattered throughout the blog post!

Just wanted to say that I'm hoping I figured everything out with the images and all that jazz and hope everything will be in working order (as well as stay in working order) for well...ever. Because the stress I went through trying to get the first one up was tiring and, if I have to do that again, no more images for bloggy.

    McSpinoff = McNightmare?

To be straight and honest with you: I didn't like the idea of a Grey's Anatomy spinoff. At first. I mean, really, why ruin a perfectly good show by having one of the best characters up and off leave for a different show? Wouldn't that upset the wonderfully wonderful cast dynamic and, in essence, ruin the original show? And that isn't even concerning the actual spinoff. Could it be any good? Probably not. I mean, Kate Walsh is excellent and definitely a showrunner but leading her own show? Could she really pull off an Addison's Atatomy (of sorts)?

So I was skeptical. I had every right to be, I guess. Then some news started to trickle in. We know the two hour pilot will be called 'My Favorite Mistake' and will hog up two episodes of Grey's Anatomy original schedule. (Something I'm still a little miffed at, though I'm sure I'll get over it.) Then some cast news rolled in. First up was Taye Diggs, most recently of Day Break fame. I loved Day Break. It was awesome and totally underrated. So I got a little more excited. And, let's admit it, can't you just feel the chemistry between Walsh and Diggs, even if we haven't seen them on screen together yet? They just look like they'll have this awesome chemistry that'll sizzle up the airwaves.

And a few more names came in. Tim Daly, Paul Adelstein and Chris Lowell. Honestly, the names don't mean a thing to me. I'm sure I've seen them in things and such but they really aren't people I can relate to and say, "Oh, I know they'll do an awesome job!"

So on Monday Ausiello posted a little scooplet on the next two people cast in the McSpinoff. First up: Merrin Dungey. I've heard of her from Alias but, since I've only seen a few episode, not much interest. And then: Amy Brenneman.

Now, let me tell you a little history between me and ol' Amy. Judging Amy used to be my number one guilty pleasure. I used to sit down on whatever night it was on (I want to say Tuesday but it's been so long ago) and love every second of it. I'll still catch the reruns on TNT when I'm sick or have a day off of school. The show was simply so enjoyable and made me so happy inside.

And now I'm officially excited. I don't care that the McSpinoff hijacked some Grey's episodes and I don't care that Walsh is leaving (well, I do but stick with me here) and I don't care that I had doubts in the beginning. I'm just getting through this knowing that Shonda can pull this off.

If she doesn't? Well, the two episodes can't be that bad, can they?

    ...

    On Last Night
    24

    "Day Six: 6 P.M. - 7 P.M." (6.13)
    9.0 out of 10
Martha's baaaaack. This average episode of 24 was made twenty four time better by the fact that Martha was well...Martha. Crazy, diabolical, fun Martha. The attack of the Russian consulate? Pshh. Doyle almost choking (well, not really) Morris? Double pshh. This episode totally went to Martha and Aaron.

Where to start? First of all: Oh, word I hope he dies. Logan better flat line the hell off of the show and then we can see Martha smile. And Martha dance. And Martha breathe. And the Martha/Aaron romance to bud into something more than it already is.

Let's get back to all serious. The episode wasn't spectacular. It was a step up for last week but the only real thing it had going for it was the Martha/Aaron/Logan dynamic. Luckily, I stayed away from the promos this week and was pleasantly surprised when Martha sunk the knife into the little vermin of an ex-President.

The stuff with Doyle and him taking charge of CTU was semi-interesting. It was hilarious to see Morris give him some 'tude and then have him be all, "Rawr, I'm going to choke you" and sort of just gently put his hand around Morris' throat. Guess it could be interesting to see this new character dynamic. But it seems, from the promos that Doyle's going to turn out to be a mole.

Jack and the Russian consulate thing. Blah. I don't know. The whole plot line really doesn't excite me much anymore. The most interesting thought when I was watching his scenes was when I saw the girl that he took hostage when he was looking for a phone. I was like, "Hm, she sort of reminds me of Nina." And that was it.

I liked the power Logan still had over Suvarov to get Jack out of the consulate unharmed. That was pretty nifty.

Other than that, it was just an okay episode made better by a wonderful performance by Jean Smart. Hopefully she'll stick around for a few more episodes. ^^

    American Idol

    "Top 12 Perform"
    3.5 black t-shirts out of 5

Mhm, top twelve goodness. I'm probably only going to do this once or twice but I decided to do a little American Idol recaplet because of the new beginnings with the top twelve. (Oh, and go VFTWers! Sanjaya is horrible and I'd love to see him stick around and suck for a few more weeks.) And now onto the person by person review. (Oh, final parentheses. Didn't you love that Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz were in the audience? Yay!)

    1. Brandon Rogers -- Ehh, nothing special. I mean, he's good and all but he just seems to sing too low and doesn't project himself to the audience, which causes his performance to be a little boring. I'd say that, if people don't remember him, he could be eligible for the bottom three.
    3 black t-shirts out of 5

(Oh, my word! Major Ryan/Simon action tonight! They must be having a lovers quarrel behind the scenes. Aww...)

    2. Melinda Doolittle -- Paula cries? Wow. It wasn't that moving. Anyways, onto the performace. She was good, as usual. But I really don't think this was her best performance and she can do billions of miles better. She's obviously sticking around for another week so lets hope she stuns next week.
    4 black t-shirts out of 5

    3. Chris Sligh -- Have to say, I love the song. Well, the original one. It got a little better towards the end but...are you serious? How could Chris disappoint me like this? I was pulling for him for the top six. Now? Ehk. It was really blah and his voice was bad and I'm really, really surprised with Chris. But, he'll be staying around because of all the fangirls. No way he'll even be in the bottom three. Which is a shame because I think he was even worse than Brandon. (Just as a note, I'm writing as this is going on. So who knows what the future will bring?)
    2.5 black t-shirts out of 5

    4. Gina Glocksen -- Contrary to the judges opinon, I really liked it. Sure, it wasn't the best she could do but I actually liked it. The only nitpick is that did she seemed a little too focused on pronouncing her words and was distracted from the actual vocals. No way she's going home this week. Not even bottom three material.
    4 black t-shirts out of 5

    5. Sanjaya Malakar -- Is it just me or does he look more and more like Michael Jackson every day? He's bad. And he'll get through because of VFTW. Yay for more sucky performances. (And LOL at Simon's comments. And some flirting between Ryan and Simon with the whole marine life comment and Simon giggling like a little schoolgirl.)
    0 black t-shirts out of 5

    6. Haley Scarnato -- I'm going to agree with Simon on this one. I really didn't think she was that bad. I sort of had a hope for her when she got through to the top twelve that she may be good and surprise us and she really wasn't that bad. And I didn't hear her forget her words, did you? I dunno. Hm. Maybe bottom three material but I hope she doesn't go home. I think she may still have something up her sleeves.
    3 black t-shirts out of 5

    7. Phil Stacey -- Ehh, he was okay. I guess a little better than Brandon but still not stunning. I guess I'm a little bitter because I never really liked him. But he did put in a good effort. Definitely not gone but not a front runner. (Unless all the other boys are horrible.)
    3.5 black t-shirts out of 5

    8. Lakisha Jones -- Amazing as expected. I really don't think she has any shot at winning American Idol. Remember Tamarya Gray (mhm, spelling of the name?) anybody?
    4 black t-shirts out of 5

    9. Blake Lewis -- While I don't think it was Blake's best performance, it was pretty good and I liked how he made the song his own. Big difference (as Paula said) between was the Sligh-sucker did and Blake did. I do have the agree that the vocals could be stronger and we've seen him do stronger. So do stronger, Blake, do stronger. Shoe in for next round. And isn't he just so gosh-darned cute?
    4 black t-shirts out of 5

    10. Stephanie Edwards -- She was a strange one tonight. I thought she had really good vocals but I don't know... It just seemed blah to me. I have to agree with what Simon said about showing the goods but failing to deliver. She's probably safe unless something surprising happens.
    3 black t-shirts out of 5

    11. Chris Richardson -- Ick. I don't like Justin Timberlake and I don't like him. Sure, he's charming but he looks like this one kid on my school bus who is really creepy. He seems to do the same thing every week and every week it's bad. Blah. I hope he's in the bottom three but he won't be because of the crazy JT fangirls. Damn them.
    2 black t-shirts out of 5

    12. Jordin Sparks -- Aww, this song brings back good memories of Land Before Time. -sigh- Anyways, a more subdued performance for Jordin today but it really worked out. er vocals are amazing as usual and I could not only feel emotion in her voice but see it on her face. However, a few of the looks she gave looked a lot like the ones Cinderella used to give me at Disneyland to make me feel like the only person in the world.
    4 black t-shirts out of 5

Overall, a good night and I'm excited for the results show tomorrow. Hopefully the top eleven brings even better performances than tonight. Should be a damn good show!

Top Runners: Gina, Melinda, Lakisha, Blake, Jordin
Bottom Three (Mine): Brandon, Chris (x2!)
Bottom Three (Probable): Brandon, Haley, and some wild card. Peraps Phil or (hopefully!?!) Chris Sligh.

    Buffy the Vampire Slayer

    "The Body" (5.16)
    9.8 out of 10
This is the episode that makes me shiver before I watch it, sob when I watch it, and keeps me awake after I watch it. The episode is perfect. If anyone wanted to know the true power that Buffy can have over you, this is the episode I would show them. It gets to me every time. And not just a mild dose of getting to. That deep, under your skin kind that makes you feel disturbed, sad, and even slightly happy all at once.

Some of the key moments of this episode are apparent. The cracking of the ribs when Buffy is performing CPR shocked me the first time I watched it and I can't help covering my ears every time I hear the rib crack. I love that Buffy calls Giles first, showing that he really is her father figure and she knows he will be there for her no matter what. Another chilling moment is when Buffy says, "She's at the house" and refers to herself in the third person, just showing how unreal this event must seem to her.

I love the transition to when Dawn is in the school bathroom, crying about something totally pointless compared to the big mounting problem that is about to come but still a major earthquake in Dawn's teenage life. When Buffy comes into the art room, the shot of the crayon Dawn was holding slowly making a trail down the paper is absolutely brilliant. Also, the fact that we don't actually hear what Buffy says to Dawn to tell her that her mother is dead is another lovely artistic move by Joss.

The whole scene with Willow and choosing what to wear, Anya's heart-breaking speech, and Xander busting his hand through the wall is absolutely perfect. I love the shot of them from an aerial view in the room, looking awkward and not knowing what to say in the situation. Another little tidbit I love is when Anya finds the blue sweater Willow was talking about and simply stuffs it into the dresser. That put an awkward smile of my face, even in light of what has happened. The same thing goes for when Willow offers to fight Xander and one of the cutest exchanges between them in the whole series happens.

Xander: You know I couldn't take you.
    Willow: Damn straight.

Finally, we have the morgue scene. Buffy and Tara share some quality bonding, which is good and shows Tara being included in part of the group much more than only a few episodes ago. Another smile on my face when Willow comes back with all the food, saying that she didn't know what to get. We also have Dawn going into the morgue room and then the vampire getting up and Buffy runs into to save the day and one of the most gruesome slayings in Buffy history happens. I still wince when Buffy cuts the head off with the saw. It's so brutal and raw and really fits in with the whole emotion of the episode. Finally, we have the very final shot of Dawn's hand moving over to touch Joyce's face and the credits starting before she actually touches it.

The most shocking and emotionally raw episode of Buffy -- and perhaps ever on television -- is just proof that Buffy isn't your normal vampire slaying show (if there is such a thing) but a masterpiece in and of itself. The Body is just one of the many reasons it should be regarded as one of the best shows on television.

      TV.com

Once again, I didn't do much this week. Submitted a few new episode titles to shows and various such stuff but nothing else other than that. Guess I should really start getting into submitting more. I could probably come up with a bunch of valuable submissions. Just need to get a little less lazy.

The reviewfestapalooza has sort of started. Have three reviews in this blog post and they're all going to count towards my review count too. If I do three a post, I could rack them up pretty quickly. I guess we'll see how well the whole three-reviews-a-blog thing goes because it's pretty trying. I figure that, as long as I take it at a good pace, I can easily get three a post.

Other than that, there's nothing. Still making some posts around and I have over 130. And I'm slowly making my way to level 11. Hopefully I'll reach that in a few days and maybe I'll make a promise to review a bunch or something. A...level 11 resolution, meguess.

    This and That

"Have you locked your keys in the car? - Does your car have remote keyless entry? This may come in handy someday. Good reason to own a cell phone: If you lock your keys in the car and the spare keys are at home, call someone at home on their cell phone from your cell phone. Hold your cell phone about a foot from your car door and have the person at your home press the unlock button, holding it near the mobile phone on their end. Your car will unlock. Saves someone from having to drive your keys to you. Distance is no object. You could be hundreds of miles away, and if you can reach someone who has the other "remote" for your car, you can unlock the doors (or the trunk)."

I got this in a chain mail message my mom printed out and showed to me. There were four other nifty things you can do with your cellphone but this is the only useful one that seemed to work. (One other one worked but it wasn't much entertaining.) So, I tried it out and it was really quite fun! I went outside and held my cellphone up to my mom's car and she called me and pressed the clicker thingy and it unlocked! And then we locked it again, all from the cellphone. Pretty entertaining (and maybe even useful) if you've locked your keys in the car. Of course, it would just be mocking you if you left your cellphone in the car too!

And that wraps up issue two! Check back on Friday for reviews of Lost's "Par Avion ", Grey's Anatomy's "Scars and Souvenirs" and maybe a few other things to hold your attention! (Oh, yeah, and if you read this remember to comment if you like it or if you have any suggestions/ideas because I'd like some feedback.)

Side Note: Well, I figured out what was wrong. Sort of. There seemed to be a number of problems. 1) I used brackets in some places to make it look prettier. Had to change them to various such similar punctuation marks. 2) The images. Something wasn't right about them. -shrug- No idea what, though. 3) Uhm...there was probably something else. I had to get rid of quite a bit of stuff to make it work. Hopefully we won't have as much of a problem next time and I'll figure out what's wrong so I can add images and such. Maybe it was just a TV.com fluke of the day.

    Introduction

It's here, everybody. After a long while of procrastination and such I've finally decided to stop being lazy and make up a real post. Dun, dun, dun. The timing somewhat sucks, considering I didn't watch anything on TV last night but that just means I'll have extra tidbits (including a little Buffyversary thing) that I normally wouldn't have.

Before we start, I just want to note how the blog will be laid out. First, I'll have a little introduction (what you're reading now). Then, I'll go into what was on the tube last night. After that, I'll go into my DVDcapades where I talk about what I'm watching TV DVD wise at the moment. Finally, I'll wrap up with some TV.com chatter and then any other interesting things.

Of course, I know I won't be sticking to this form today. But I may as well let you in on how things will normally look. Today we'll be starting with the Buffy featurette and then going into my DVDcapades (which are, gasp, more Buffy) and then wrapping up with the usual.

    Let it begin!

    Ten Years of Slaying

So, when planning the blog, I was trying to come up with something special for the Buffyversary. Now, I knew I wanted to do a list but I didn't want it to be a list of the best Buffy episodes nor did I want it to be a list of the worst Buffy episodes, both of which I could have easily pulled off.

Then, a shockingly brilliant (or not-so-brilliant, depending on how you look at it) idea hit me. The Best of the Buffy Rest! Now, I bet you're thinking: Wait, the thread over at the games forum? But that's not what I mean at all.

Let's face it: there are a few Buffy episodes that are sub-par. I know it pains me to say it but not every episode was a winner. Yet a lot of these episodes can still be entertaining. So I decided to count down these episode. There's a lot of them where you sort of watch them while your flip through your DVD collection and they aren't "oh, my word" excellent (e.g. Hush, The Body, OMWF, ect) or "oh, my word get these disgusting things away from me" (e.g. I Robot...You Jane, Reptile Boy, or...well there are others. Just can't think of them now). So, I decided to take five of these such episodes that I think are exceptionally good (if that makes sense...wouldn't that make them good episodes?) and list and write a little bit about them.

{Small note: This list may be a little early Buffy heavy because that's what I've watched recently. Hopefully I'll try to avoid that. Also, images used are from Wikipedia.)

    5. Gingerbread (Season Three, Episode Eleven)
For some reason I always enjoyed this episode a lot. Maybe it's the reactions that Buffy and the Scoobies give when Joyce takes the stand and tries to put a stop to all the witchcraft and various such stuff or maybe it's the hilarious Buffy moment when she stabs the demon and is standing there all tied up asking, "Did I get it?" but this episode really stood out to me even when surrounded by Amends and Helpless. The overall absurdity and quirkiness of the episode put a smile on my face and, while it's nothing spectacular, it certainly goes to show you that thought is put into every one of the episodes.
My Rating (based on a "best of the rest" scale): 9.2 out of 10

    4. Doublemeat Palace (Season Six, Episode Twelve)
I really hate when people label this as a bad episode. Sure, it's cheesy and sort of ridiculous but it's time honored B-grade horror movie stuff. This is where the origins of Buffy lie, people. I'll be the first to admit it's not the best episode of the series but people really don't give it the credit it deserves. It's entertaining, has a nice little mystery, and shows Buffy in the working (non-Slayer, of course) life. Pardon my non-detailed description. Things sort of leave you when you haven't watched them in a few months, you know?
My Rating: 9.3 out of 10

    3. Shadow (Season Five, Episode Eight)
Having just finished rewatching this episode, maybe I'm a little biased but I seemed to overly enjoy this one while watching and thought to myself that this is definitely one of the best of the rest. The emotion that Buffy expresses about her mother really foreshadows how good The Body is going to be and sets up the roller coaster ride of emotions that are going to come. And maybe my episodes are blending together (it could've been one of the ones around out) but the episode sets up the whole Riley/crazy vampire sex thing that leads to his departure from the show. (Can we get a whoo hoo?) Oh, and the storyline with Glory and the garr-evil snake thing is pretty entertaining too. (And I love the smooth moves the snake pulls when it pretends it's dead and all of a sudden BOOM he jumps up and throws Buffy back.)
My Rating: 9.5 out of 10

    2. School Hard (Season Two, Episode Three)
This episode always held a special place in my heart. I love the whole raid on the school and Spike and Joyce's first introduction that sets up for the hilarious line in Becoming (I'm pretty sure it's Becoming, anyways) where Joyce and Spike meet again in the Summers household. And come on, everybody, let's put our hands together for the introduction to Spike at the beginning of the episode which is beyond awesome. I mean, coming into town in a beat up car with a cigarette lit. God, how freaking awesome. And who would expect the white-haired villain to become such an integral part of the show even after the second season? Too bad we never got Dru to return for more than a few episodes here and there. Her crazed ramblings were all too funny.
My Rating: 9.6 out of 10

    1. Living Conditions (Season Four, Episode Two)
The first time I ever watched this episode I really disliked it. I don't know why, really. Maybe I was still adjusting to the fact that Buffy was out of high school and into college or maybe it was the fact that I was sort of tired when I first watched it and wasn't all that into it but this time around I was fully alert and ready for some Buffy. Let me tell you: it didn't disappoint. The hilarious action between Buffy's roommate and herself was just too much to handle. The drinking of the milk, the clipping of the toenails, and the annoying Cher playing constantly seemed to just work and made for a really funny and enjoyable episode. It was a really good episode to start a good first half of season four (the second half...well, let's not mention that) and seemed to be a wonderful play at college life and the pains of having a roommate.
My Rating: 9.7 out of 10

And that wraps up the top five Best of the Buffy Rest. Now, I'm sure there are good bundle of episodes that you think should've made this list and, maybe if I really looked through the episode guide and rewatched some of the episodes, the list would be different but this is what I came up with. If you want to mention any other episodes in the comments that you felt were exceptionally good "best of the rest" episodes go ahead and maybe we can discuss it a bit. But that wraps up my lovely Buffyversary featurette. What a great ten years for a wonderful series!

    DVDcapades

I had a little dilemma with today's DVDcapades section. I'm currently watching Buffy on DVD so wouldn't the Buffyversary section be a little too much Buffy for one entry? And then I thought: what am I thinking? Too much Buffy? Hah! I laugh in the face of too much Buffy. So I decided to abbreviate (yeah, sad) this section today and simply list the last five episodes of Buffy I watched and rate them. (This time on a normal scale, unlike the "best of the rest" scale above.) Usually, I'd review the last episode I watched but, since that was Shadow, I needed to figure out something else to do.

    March onwards!

    5.04 - Out of My Mind {8.2 out of 10}
    5.05 - No Place Like Home {8.6 out of 10}
    5.06 - Family {8.9 out of 10}
    5.07 - Fool for Love {9.2 out of 10}
    5.08 - Shadow {8.5 out of 10}

    TV.com

Haven't been too fruitful submission wise. I have been posting a little more however and become a tad more social in the TV.com community, while I used to sort of be a lurker for quite a long time. I'm trying to gain some posts from the TV Games section because I sort of feel that, if I have a somewhat higher post count, I'll be taken more seriously. While this may be true or not, it's given me something to do while I well, don't do anything.

Still planning to do a reviewfestapalooza eventually. Usually, the reviews I write here will double as reviews for the site itself but today the reviews were somewhat geared towards the "best of the Buffy rest" side of speaking so I'm not going to put the reviews up simply because they aren't too comprehensive and look at the episode in the scale of a middle ground episode.

Other than that, I'm basically just idling my time and surfing around like I usually do. Maybe I'll get some initiative to do something big later. Hey, getting a blog up is one step, at least.

    This and That

Nothing much interesting around the world wide web that I found in my little searching. So I'll go back to something that's old but you may have not seen. Ever feel like destroying TV.com because of the never ending level glitches? I know I do...took me an hour or so of frustration to even get this blog up!

(Phew! Wasn't that a ride? Just to tell everybody: this blog will be updating on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays so you'll get all your good reviews and such and it'll give me some time to put everything together. I'll definitely skew off the schedule once in a while to maybe say something little on the weekends or in between the days but mainly I'll try and stick to that schedule and alert you when I can't do the blog. Okay, then. Let me depart.)

TV.com is not on my good side right now. So I tried to post the super-big blog entry I had to start of the day right.

And it wouldn't post. Gave me the error where I used 'c l a s s' and 's t y l e'. And I did. So I switced the words out and tried again. Nada. Said I had unopened HTML tags.

Please. Checked the article. No unopen tags. Even closed the image tags to be safe.

    Tried again. Nothing.

So I've given up for now. Then, I went to post a blog entry and it wouldn't post. Then it posted four times. And I deleted them, meaning to keep one up. Of course I deleted them all by mistake.

And it's late and I've stayed up much later than I was supposed to trying this and tomorrow's going to be a bad day. :/ And I'm still not sure what time it is.

Goodnight. Hopefully it'll work in the morning. 'cuz let me tell ya -- it's one helluva blog.

I can honestly say I have no idea what time it is now. I know the clocks are all supposed to change differently and some clocks will be right and others will be wrong because of the early DST change but...I'm still not sure which one is right.

I'm pretty sure it's 2:20 now but...could it be 1:20? And if I change my cellphone clock, what'll happen when the later now obsolete DST change comes along?

    Rawr. I'm confused.

Just decided to make note of it here. I had totally forgot it was today and I woke up this morning and I was like, "Hmm, something is going on today." But I ignored the feeling and watched some Buffy (-gasp-) and then I went out a bought the first season of Angel, which I've been meaning to do for a while.

Guess my something deep down inside was nagging at me a bit. xP

I should really do something special for the occasion. Maybe I'll whip up some kind of Buffypalooza for Monday.

Oh, and I've watched 33 episodes since last Saturday. Maybe even a few more by midnight tonight. From "Doppelgangland" to "Out of My Mind". Yay.

So I was planning to post a real post with pictures, reviews, and various other such stuff on Monday. But I got held back because of the damned standardized tests in school. So, if all goes well, I should start next Monday and continue from there.

Anyways, haven't been doing much in the way of anything around here. Thinking of going to the HGTV website and watching the clips of Design Star to beef up the guide a little. Maybe add some quotes/trivia I can pick up from the montages.

And I still want to get around to a big reviewfestapalooza. Just not exactly sure when. But I'll get around to it eventually. Maybe once I finish this round of Buffy I'll restart some other series and do it episode by episode.

Speaking of Buffy: I've watched 19 episodes since Saturday. Geez. Middle of season four now. Adam was just introduced and blah, blah. God, I hate Adam. The dialogue between Adam and the little boy in "Goodbye Iowa" is hilarious. In a bad way.

    Well, yeah. That's it.

I'm feeling a thousand times better than yesterday and finally returned to school and back to the stresses of everyday life. Oh dear. Starting Monday (maybe -- hopefully) I'll be doing my normal blog setup that I've been planning out in my head the past few days. This may or may not be a good idea, though, considering almost everything is going into repeats.

Oh, well. I'll figure something to take up space with. Been surfing around on a lot of forums today because I've been bored. Love the forum fights. It's so interesting reading eight or nine pages of yelling and snarky comments (and not-so-snarky-but-under-a-false-delusion-of-snarkiness comments) but nonetheless a very rewarding experience well worth a few laughs. And don't admit you've never done it before.

I figure this weekend I'll focus on doing a bunch of reviews. Since I'm rewatching Buffy, I may as well get some individual episodes down and maybe whip up one for the whole series. Hoping to also write ones for the Grey's Anatomy ferry crash eps as well as the last few Lost ones. We'll see were that goes.

Bleh, my history project calls me. Bye. (To all zero people who read this. xP)

Fourth day of sickness. I'm feeling much better today compared to yesterday, which seemed to be the peak of my sickness. Went to the doctors yesterday as well and I have some kind of bronchial throat infection. The doctor has me on some antibiotics and some nasty tasting syrup stuff.

But, thankfully, I'm feeling much better and can't wait to get back to school tomorrow (as long as my fever stays down). The only part that sucks is that I'll probably have a lot to make up on. And I have to take gym. Which I should really ask my doctor about. Because bronchial throat infection and running really don't sound like they mix well.

Is it strange that I'm looking forward to Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader tonight? It sort of is but it seems like one of those really dumb reality shows that may actually be mildly entertaining. And, hey, what else am I going to watch after American Idol now that it preempted House?

So yeah. I'm going to go watch some Buffy DVDs.

I'm still sick but feeling slightly better. Which is good, I guess. My throat hurts a lot though but my fever went to down to like 100.5 and I haven't checked in a while so it's probably down to normal. (Or at least I feel like it's down to normal.)

Rewatched the ferry boat episodes from Grey's Anatomy last night when I couldn't sleep. Made an impromptu purchase at the iTunes store. Which is sort of dumb since I could've watched them on the ABC website. But do they look nice on my iPod!

I realized, while watching Drowning on Dry Land, that Izzie's "I Believe" speech is really awesome. I replayed it like three or four time and loves when she says, "I believe that it's been a hell of a year and I believe that in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary that we will be okay."

Because it's just so touching, you know?

And that's all for today. (Wow, two days in a row.) Hopefully I'll feel better tomorrow and make up a post that's actually interesting.

So I'm sick. Like fever, cough, headache, dizziness sick. And I'm having weird cravings. Like I wanted a granola bar and then some Gushers. Strange? I guess. It's not that my stomach hurts or anything -- it's more my head area. But, whatever. I'll be fine.

I always say I'm going to post regularly. And I never do. Isn't that horrible? I'm so lazy that I can't take five minutes out of my day to post a blog. Not that anyone would care though. xP It's not like I'm a big editor. One show. Ooh, shock me!

But I want to do more. It's not even that I'm lazy -- it's just that I seem to have submission anxiety. I'm always thinking, "Oh, this is going to get rejected."

And sometimes they do. But I shouldn't hesitate. Yet I do. And maybe I've had some bad experience that deeply affected me when I submitted something and it was rejected for no reason. But I really can't remember a time like that.

Oh, well. I saw a book in Barnes & Noble the other day that had like 101 blog ideas for your blog. Or something like that. Maybe I should pick it up.
