yeah, i know. Haven't blogged in a while. Haven't been on in a while. Yeah, I promised being more active once new South Park came. Yeah, I've been watching all the new episodes (seen 'em all including tonight's hilarious HSM riff). But somehow, I haven't been coming to this site.
This all culminates in me receiving a message that I've been MIA from my Matt Stone guide. What the hell? I cannot recall any submissions to any of my guides in forever. Yet somehow, I keep getting messages that the "staff" had to come in and clear out my queue because someone had to wait more than a week for a submission response. My hope is that it is some new user who just wants some recognition but trying to call me MIA seems something that a more experienced user would do. Plus, I checked the guide and all of the trivia and notes and I see no changes at all from what was previously there. Maybe I'm wrong but I have a gut feeling that I'm not.
So, I had to reply with a response for my absense so I could retain the guide. Seriously, I enjoy the site but there are other things going on in my life like my job and school that take more priority than accepting and rejecting someone else's subs. I know the responsibility of being an editor and I still want to keep my guide. But if this continues, I might just give up for good.
Anyway, I've been playing Guitar Hero World Tour. I love it. A little bit easier on guitar but the drums are the real joy. It's a great game. I would totally recommend it.
Finally, I've been loving the new episodes of South Park. They've been excellent. My favorite would have to be "About Last Night..." as of now but that may change. I'm gonna try working on some more subs for that but I don't know if I'll have the ambition.

Yes, it's the blog you've been waiting for for more than 4 MONTHS!!!
To put it plainly, I missed this site. For all the knocks it receives, there's just something about it that makes you want to come back every time. In my case, it would be the South Park forum. There are so many awesome people over there talking about an equally awesome show. While it may be missing some things that made it truly great (come back fufu and henrynhenry!), the core is still there. And for that I am appreciative. Undoubtedly when the season returns, expect my full fledged attendance and possible episode discussions(if i get the news first that is, lol.)
I'm also intrigued by the new TV.com redesign. The improvements made to Gamespot are clearly well-done. So, I would assume all the new, shiny, and probably unnecessary add-ons will be a welcome addition. My favorite promise is that TV.com will start recognizing its members more. Being the narcisstic person I am (haha), this sounds interesting.
Finally, lots of stuff have happened since my last blog and I mean LOTS. A wise blogger would not bore you with all the details and just give a summarized possibly bullet pointed rundown of the major events...I wonder.
- I quit my old job and found a new one that I enjoy so much better and that stresses me out a lot less.
- Had a nice vacation at a lakehouse which was great.
- Got myself a nice, fancy, newfangled MP3 player.
- Pre-ordered Guitar Hero: World Tour for the Wii.
And most importantly...
- Welcomed my new baby sister into the world.
That's all everyone. Take care.

Guitar Hero has become somewhat of a phenomenon recently. It has captivated gamers and non-gamers alike and made quite a cultural impact. I mean, South Park did an episode devoted to it. But everytime a new Guitar Hero comes out, there are great songs included yet people complain about the absence of others. Thus forming a wishlist. So, I have taken it upon myself to create my own based upon not only my musical preference but songs that would be a perfect fit for any Guitar Hero (or Rock Band) game. So here it is, my top 10 most wanted songs for the next Guitar Hero. No Stairway taken into account.
#10- Icky Thump by The White Stripes (Probably one of the best rock songs to come out in a while)
#9- Can't Stop by The Red Hot Chili Peppers (Eh...it's got a good beat.)
#8- Smells Like Teen Spirit by Nirvana (Love 'em or hate 'em, this has to be in one of these games)
#7- Party Hard by Andrew W.K. (GH needs a song to just rock out and have fun with) or What Would Brian Boitano Do? by DVDA (If Rock Band can have Timmy, Guitar Hero should have Brian.)
#6- Joker and the Thief by Wolfmother (Although you can rock this one on Rock Band, it's a better fit on Guitar Hero)
#5- Up Around the Bend by Creedence Clearwater Revival (For that really good oldie song...)
#4- Where the River Flows by Collective Soul ( A personal favorite of mine)
#3- Enter Sandman by Metallica (Metal!)
#2- Smooth Criminal by Alien Ant Farm (Another personal favorite of mine but even though it's a cover of a MJ song, this is a great cover that rocks and has a neat solo)And #1 we have a 3-way tie Thunderstruck by AC/DC, You Shook Me All Night Long by AC/DC, and Eruption by Van Halen
There you go. My list. I'm open to any edits, comments, criticisms, as I realize that choosing 10 songs really limits the range of good songs. But let me know.
P.S. I planned on posting this earlier but I used a "forbidden" word when describing "Up Around the Bend so I changed it to "oldie". I'll give you a hint. It rhymes with "pass sick".

After last night's amazing episode "Canada on Strike", I decided to make a few subs for the episode. Well, I logged in today to notice that those subs have bumped me up to the next level, level 17. Yes, I'm a crazy neighbor now maybe not with quite the eccentricity of Kramer. However, it's good to be movin' on up. Hooray me.
But in even greater news, I did a few more subs today for South Park contributing to the newest episode. Just the usual quotes and stuff that strike me funny. Yet, I noticed while scrolling down something amazing. I saw my name in the top contributor box for South Park! This made me quite happy as it was one of my goals on this site (as evidenced by my last blog). Double Hooray for me!
Finally, if I ever decide to make another conceited, self-congratulatory blog like this again, I'll give you some "theoretical dollars" and maybe a coupon to Bennigan's. Once again, I'd like to apologize for anyone who fell for my April Fool's joke. I have not left and am glad to be here.
Have a good one.

I've really thoug ht this over and it's been bugging me for awhile. Leaving the site for good is just a decision I needed to make. I know I sound like a humongous liar and hypocrite because I promised more time on here but I just don't have the inspiration nor the time. So, I'm sorry to say but I will no longer be on this site. It's been really great all the time that I've spent on here. It's been wonderful discussing oh so many topics with all of you. I've come to admire many people on this site and have made really great friends, Drewshack, HillJaFuFu, ZugZug, henrynhenry, tweekfan, hsimpson44, and many more people who if I've forgotten to mention means you're no lesser a friend. But the time has come and I feel like I've accomplished enough to satisfy me, although I never became a Top Contributor for South Park nor a Show Editor.
Thanks for the memories. Exit stage left.

Correction: I've had Brawl for almost a week now. I just haven't blogged about it yet because I was hoping to wait for a level change to make a new blog. However, I just feel the need to explain that it is awesome. All Wii owners should buy it. It's definitely a contender for Game of the Year. Did I mention it was awesome?
Online's really fun too. I think more options should be made for "With Anyone" matches as always having a 2 minute KO fest is boring and there's no customization whatsoever. Luckily "With Friends" makes up in that department by doing all of the above and adding text message taunts (which could be a sign to possible voice chat maybe???).
Other than that, South Park's been good. You can find me on the forums there. I'm hoping to break into the Top Contributor's list but so far I've just been submitting quotes, trivia, and other stuff. I haven't made an episode summary or episode forum discussion since "More Crap." You guys need me to get on the ball. Haha. For those wondering what I think about the season so far, I think it's been actually quite good despite what people have said about Tonsil Trouble and Britney's New Look. To be honest, I enjoyed those both more than "Major Boobage" although I do like "Major Boobage" as well. A full opinion can be found in the episode discussion for the "Major Boobage" episode on page 6 I believe.

It is that wonderful time of the year again. The Oscars. When tiny men statues are given to the finest actors, actresses, directors, writers, and other film workers. Once again, I will try my best to predict this year's winners which'll be a lot harder since there is no clear cut winner this time around. So here goes nothing.
Best Picture: The winner is... No Country for Old Men. Although a Juno upset is likely as well.
Best Actor: The winner is...Daniel Day-Lewis for There Will Be Blood. Watch out for George Clooney though.
Best Supporting Actor: The winner is... Javier Bardem for No Country for Old Men. This is almost a sure hit, but maybe the Academy will go for Phillip Seymour Hoffman.
Best Actress: The winner is... Ellen Page. I'm going for the underdog here because Page was just too good in Juno. However, this one will probably go to Julie Christie.
Best Supporting Actress: The winner is... Tilda Swinton. Although, I'd watch for Cate Blanchett winning it for her Bob Dylan role.
Best Director: The winner is... Joel and Ethan Coen for No Country for Old Men. Coens score again.
Best Original Screenplay: The winner is... Diablo Cody. She deserves it for her smart biting dialogue in Juno.
Best Adapted Screenplay: The winner is... Joel and Ethan Coen. They took Cormac McCarthy's book and made a winner of a film out of it.
Best Animated Film: The winner is... Ratatouille. Pixar shines again except I still believe The Simpsons Movie was horrificly snubbed in this category by Surf's Up. C'mon.
Best Documentary: The winner is... Sicko. Michael Moore will once again have another chance to make Oscar lore with another one of his memorable speeches. God help us.Those are my picks. Check back tomorrow maybe or whenever I make my next blog to see how well I did.
In other news, I am consistently getting better at Guitar Hero III. Last time I think I said I only played medium. PAH. Now I'm rockin expert and am extremely close to beating the career. Only Raining Blood (toughest motherflippin' song in career) and Number of the Beast (haven't really tried it much) stand in my way. Of course, I'll still have to beat Lou though but I think I'll do well on that. If anyone wants to check my stats, here they are: My Guitar Hero Stats
See ya. Waiting for the new South Park season.

Hello everyone, it is I, your beloved simpsonzfreak13 back and blogging. As my blog title states, I am quite alive and well and have not fallen off of earth. What I have been is busy. The job takes up alot of time as well as having a bunch of AP classes in the same semester. Couple that with South Park's long hiatus and no new Flight of the Conchords yet and you'll get me not being on so much. But now I promise you, my friends at TV.com, that I have returned seeing as though South Park's return is less than a month away now. When it does, expect me to be back to normal providing you with episode updates and amusing forum posts that I've done in the past.
Thanks to all that have been wondering where I was. I'll try to do my best to be active more.
Since my last post (November of last year
), I've had a lot of fun and good times including seeing Jeff Dunham perform live. But that'll be another blog...

Take care

I got Flight of the Conchords Season 1 on DVD. Yeah, for all the madness that is Black Friday some good actually came from it. Luckily, Best Buy had a deal that made all HBO season sets half off. FotC already has a low price point of 26 bucks. So I snagged it up for only 13 dollars! What a deal.
And if you are unfortunate enough to have not seen FotC, then look some clips up on YouTube or something because you are definitely missing out.
That's all from me.

Now that Thanksgiving is coming near and I am on break, it's time to think about what I have to be thankful for. So I've compiled this list of things to be thankful for:
- The Cowboys' 8-1 record so far and the emergence of Tony Romo as the future QB of the Dallas Cowboys
- Flight of the Conchords Season1 on DVD!
- South Park having a wonderful 11th season
- The Imaginationland trilogy
- The possibility of seeing Jeff Dunham in concert
- GUITAR HERO III: Legends of Rock
- Online Rocking on the Wii
- That South Park is a non-WGA show (Although I am supportive of all the writers.)
- Reruns of Kenan and Kel on Noggin
- The Simpsons Movie coming to DVD in time for the Christmas season
- That I have a stable income of money from my job
- A Week Off to be used to regain countless hours of sleep
- How amazing Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the Wii will be
- My TV.Com Experience
- The South Park Guide
- All the Cool People who are or were on TV.com
- Food!!!!!!!
Have a good day

Yes, I know I have not blogged in almost two months but that doesn't mean I have left. Still here. Still contributing to the South Park guide and others. Just not on as much. To give a full explanation as to why I'm not on as much would be impossible so here are 3 general reasons.
- My Job
- School
- Laziness
I'm not gone (hopefully not forgotten) but I will for sure say my attendance will decrease. For the three reasons above and more, I just haven't been as active as before. Possibly because so many of my friends are no longer on as much (HilljaFuFu)or banned (ZugZug4). Who knows? I'm gonna be here and do my best to remain a tad active.
Ok. Now on to Guitar Hero 3 (which you could probably use as another reason for my absence). The game's amazing. I got the game on release date and could not have been happier. The songs are awesome and the whole game just ROCKS (sorry for the pun). Plus it's online. I have it for the Wii. So if anyone wants to hook up and rock out, just PM your friend code. I normally play on Medium(yes, I'm not that good) but I'm moving on to Hard because Medium's becoming a little easy. Although, I'm still not that good on Hard either.
Yeah, so PM friend codes if you want to rock out against me.

Live chat was really fun.
Also a little shameless self plug for me.
If yougo to the videos tab in the "Emmy's Lounge" feature, scrolldown to the pre-show live webcast video, watch it and scrub to 56:38when Danmod responded to my post saying "Flight of the Conchords should be nominated next year!" which led to him and the staff completely agreeing with me.
Great time.

Yes, I am in dire anticipation of what will be one of the best games ever...Guitar Hero III. I already have the game pre-ordered for the Wii and I couldn't be more excited about it. But a new concern has me scared. Gamespot has posted today that Guitar Hero III will not "initially" have online play. This really made me upset because I was hoping to do this. But I'm having my doubts as to the validity of these statements. Apparently, this interview was for a European magazine so Huang may have been speaking about the European release. Also, in even more support for online being there, all you need to do is check the RedOctane website. On the website, they have all the bundles posted including the Wii's. If you click on it, the box art has a little "Nintendo Wi-Fi" sticker at the top left hand corner. Also further down in the "product features", it clearly states "rock out online" at the bottom. Plus the bundles for the game were announced today so I doubt RedOctane's official website is lying. Finally, this has been an old rumor since the game was announced for the Wii. Since then in interviews at E3 and IGN, Alan Flores (I think that's his name) has stated Guitar Hero III will be online for all systems. Also IGN had a hands-on with the Wii version 8/29 which stated that it will support Nintendo's Wi-Fi (as mentioned earlier). So I think there's nothing to fear and Gamespot's interview may have been misinterpreted.
there I said it. Can't wait for the game.

I sure am. Here's my teams... My high school LHS, Notre Dam Fightin' Irish, and my boys the Dallas Cowboys. Also, I got fantasy football so Dman'sDiablosVI. Thank God, I've missed football so much and preseason is no where close to satiating. So I'm extremely happy, two out of my four teams have played their opening game. Here are the results.
- LHS- W 34-6 over Grand Prairie.
- Notre Dame- L 33-3 to Georgia Tech. I'm not as surprised that we lost but how much we lost by. I know ND is in a rebuilding year. I mean, they lost their starting QB(Brady Quinn), RB(Darius Walker), and two WR's (Jeff Samardzija and Maurice Stovall). But still hopefully they'll bounce back and work some kinks out and find a good starting QB.
- Dallas Cowboys- Haven't Played Yet. Opener at home against the New York Giants.
- Dman'sDiablosVI- Haven't Played Yet. Will start when football season begins.
However, my favorite story of the day in college football is #5 Michigan LOSES to Div AA Appalachian State AT THE BIG HOUSE.
That's all for today.

to the "Questions for ABC Talent" forum? Remember that, the site promised us Laura Swisher was going down to interview them and use our submitted questions. They even made a specific forum about it. Danmod made a blog about it (which is now deleted
). Apparently, we were going to see these interviews and stuff. But it never happened. I PM'ed danmod about it and have yet to get an answer. Now that they're doing that "Flash Gordon" interview thingy, will the same fate happen?
Is it just me who wonders about this?
