We've had a lot of thunderstorms here lately, so I thought I'd post a photo I took of the thunderclouds (right-click to view whole picture):

I may not be online much this week because I threw out my back yesterday and it hurts to sit too long.

Moonlight Keeps getting Better and Better
I do hope they renew this show. The plots just keep getting better and better. The writing is great, the acting is great, (the actors look great--very important ) the plot twists are full of intrigue. I think Jason Dohring's acting is improving--he wasn't convincing as a vampire, earlier in the season. Perhaps he's taken some acting lessons.

My only pet peeve with this show is the B Movie vampire special effects which are not convincing, especially in the biting scenes. When filming fantasy, it's important to make it seem real. Even Dark Shadow's 60's and 70's vampire effects were more believable. Still, just ignore the hokey special effects and enjoy the rest of the show. BTW, the main star, Alex O'Loughlin won TV guide's poll as "SEXIEST SCI-FI GUY", so check him out while you're checking the show out .

P.S.--If you've missed catching this show from the beginning, you can get caught up at CBS's web site, which allows you to watch the show online. Long-lost anime--please help

Bad Accident in CT
An idiot driver of a tanker truck was driving too fast tailgating other cars on a windy stretch of a major highway. It hit the median (they are not supposed to drive in the left lane), the tank separated spilling diesel onto the highway and a brook which probably will affect neighboring wells.

Then the truck broke through the median into oncoming traffic. A box truck flipped into the air landing on a car and other cars were crushed. Three people died (I only hope that the idiot driver was one of these, rather than an innocent driver), 3 more were seriously injured and this highway was closed all day. Video and pictures are available on this news site. There's also video of a loyal dog who wouldn't leave his owner's side.

It makes me so angry that drvers of huge trucks think that they can drive too fast, tailgate other cars, and otherwise drive like an idiot because they are in a big, bad, large vehicle.

Sorry, I'm a bit teed off. Last week Friday, A school bus trying to enter the highway went into my lane and would have hit me if I hadn't stopped dead while making the left turn into the entrance of the highway. Both lanes merge a couple of yards up in the entrance (I wonder why we have traffic jams during rush hour ), but even if the bus did not see that it had his own lane, there is no reason why a bus should veer into a lane right where a small car is located. I got the license plate of the school bus (I wonder if children were aboard), but I got disconnected when I called 911--they never asked me my phone number before transferring me, and I didn't feel like calling them back, because by then the bus was long gone. I would report the incident, but don't know who I should report it to.

BTW, a hurricane is brushing by New England, and I may lose power. Thanks for listening to my rant.
