  Hugh Laurie = Gordon Freeman

  Let's face it, guys.

  We owe a lot to Maxim Magazine. They are easily the number one source for celebrity T&A.

  Maxim Online made a slideshow of 10 video game characters and who they think should play them in movies.

  It was a surprisingly strong list. I particularly liked Gerard Butler (300) playing Marcus Fenix (Gears Of War) and Ali Larter (Heroes) playing Samus (Metroid).

  Some of the choices, however, seemed to be jokes. Like Artie Lange (The Howard Stern Show) as Mario (come on. You know him) and Stephen Colbert (The Colbert Report) as Master Chief (Halo).

  Yet, the best one, by far, was Hugh Laurie (House) playing everyone's favorite Silent Savior; Gordon Freeman (Half-Life 2).

  Laurie is a great actor and when you see Maxim's photoshopped picture of his head on Freeman's body, it just looks right.

  Don't Take It Personally

  I have noticed something recently.

  It would seem that there are quite a few people on this site and others, that become personal offended when someone criticizes their favorite shows.

  Even if the critique is not particularly scathing.

  The very notion that someone doesn't find the show in question positively spellbinding appears to be more than some people can rationally accept.

  This unavoidably results in angry posts and childish name-calling.

  What we all need to remember, is that no matter how successful a show is, no matter how many Emmys it has won, no matter how long it has been on the air, there are going to be people out there that do not like it.

  So simply accept it and move on. 

  No matter how harsh the criticism, there really is no need to take it personally.
