tv.com is being annoying again with the html errors...
Hi all!
First of all:
If you have twitter, follow me. http://twitter.com/saxa246
And visit my icon journal at http://saxa246.livejournal.com
How great have the season finales have been so far? Especially Lost & CSI:NY!! I don't know how the hell I can wait for the new seasons to start!!!
Now, why did I post these just like that? Well, first he's a cute guy, and quite hot. Okay, who am I kidding, he's HOT! But the real reason is that my mother told me she wanted to go see the new Star Trek movie yesterday, and I promised her we would go see it, then we started talking about the Star Trek series, - I've never seen an episode of any series, or any movie -. And I've learned something new about my mom. She's a Trekkie. She has seen every single episode of every series, some of them more than twice, and every movie, she can even quote from them -of course in Turkish. I swear to God, that woman never ceases to suprise me.

I came across some Bart Simpson goodies today and thought I'd share them with you in my blogs... The part when he writes that sentences on the black board is one of my favorite things in the whole The Simpsons world.
I will not carve gods.
I will not spank others.
I will not aim for the head.
I will not barf unless I'm sick.
I will not expose the ignorance of the faculty.
I saw nothing unusual in the teacher's lounge.
I will not conduct my own fire drills.
Funny noises are not funny.
I will not snap bras.
I will not fake seizures.Well, other than these, life in this part of the world is boring as hell and hard. How have you been doing? Yes you. The one who's reading this. I want you to comment. Look directly in my eyes. I know you can't see them, just imagine them. Alright. You're feeling calm and happy. And suddenly you are feeling the urge to comment. Just do it!
Take care,
Love *hugs*

The school is back open again, and although I'm glad it finally is -a month long holiday at home with your family is not very practical-, I'm already looking forward to the next break. I haven't missed the three hours of travel each day, not even for a bit. And by Murphy's Laws, the snow that never made it here at the actual break now has come. So not only I have to travel 3 hours each day but also I have to freeze my a** doing so. Fun, aye?

And the lecturers are really going hard on us this term, we already have lots of work to do, and I've been translating some chapters of a law book on "Law of Succession" since monday. I'm seriously this close to going completely insane. Law is scary and hard enough in your mother tongue, translating it into your mother tongue is a whole another deal. I don't know if you've ever noticed but laws seem to be written in a really weird language that noone ever uses. Civilians can't read.
Other than these, I'm also down with God knows what, I've been running a slight fever for the last week, it comes and it goes, and it's not helping with my work. See, even when I try to talk (write) about something other than them, they manage to work into my sentences. The translations are taking over my whole life!!!
The other day we were at the English Lexis class, and the lecturer was making us read an excerpt from a Dean Koontz book. Then he went on to exlain some sentences of it, there were some references between the lines, some allusions. And one of the was that the main character of the book was being compared to Sigourney Weaver, since she was killing ants in her kitchen with a sray can of insecticide just like she did with the flamethrower in the movie Alien. And this articular lecturer, not only called Sigourney Weaver a "man", but also he went on to tell that the main villain of "his" movie was a huge bug. And the whole time I was going crazy not to tell anything, because you know, correcting a lecturer is like academic suicide, especially when you're just a freshman.

So this is how my week has been so far, how have you guys been? Leave a word, and take care. I have some Hegel to read now. =))
Love,
BuRCu =))*hugs*

31Jan 09Welcome everybody, since I managed to get through the semester without too much damage, I'm throwing a party. Wanna join? Let's head to the bar... We have tequila, wine, beer, margaritas and mojitos...

If you're underage or, just don't feel like drinking alcohol, feel free to dig into the fridge...
We have a very nice DJ, and, we have bubble wrap. I think we're ready.
Oh yeah, we have food as well.
And of course, a chocolate fountain...
And a white chocolate one, just because...
So I've got AA from Philosophy, German and Public Speaking, AB from Introduction to Translation and Writing but CC from Turkish for Translators. I don't know which is sadder, that it's the crazy, obsessive prof who graded it, or that I barely passed the only class in my native language...
Party on people, I'll be over the dance floor...

Hey all! How are you?
The title and the tagline is from the movie "17 and Under " (199
. From the director Greg Morgan, the story of a seventeen-year-old gang member who is convicted and sentenced to live with a family that has lost their son to violent crime. Anyone seen this?
Personal Update: Soo, the weather here has been pretty awful lately, disabling me from getting online here.
But here I am, as dedication always wins. I was at the gym again, after taking a three day break to let my leg heal. This time fortunately I managed not to injure myself.
This week was a packed one for me. I went book hunting with three of my closest friends, then met a friend from high school and saw Jim Carrey's "Yes Man" -LOL at the redbull scene-, then some friends from elementary school, kind of a reunion. And tomorrow I'll be taking a trip to uni to see the results of the philosophy finals... Of course I had to have a cold at this week of all weeks...

The Song Of The Blog: Duffy - MercyThe Fifteen Part 3 - Jim Sturgess: Now this is mainly for myself, I've had a crush on this guy ever since I saw Across The Universe. I have a thing for men who can sing and who have accents...

*drools* Noooo not on the keyboard!!

The Quiz of The Blog:
You Are a Turtleneck Sweater
You are sophisticated, streetwise, and even a little cynical.
You are quite cultured, and you don't fall for gimmicks or trends easily.
You are naturally chic. You have a urban, cosmopolitan ****
And you know that the secret to looking good is not trying too hard!
What Kind of Sweater Are You?
You Are a Hat With Flaps
You are fun loving, cheerful, and even pretty cute most of the time.
You use fashion to play. You never take ****all that seriously.
You're the type most likely to wear a funny t-shirt or goofy hat.
But when it comes time to clean up, you clean up nicely.
What Winter Hat Are You?
The Quote of The Blog: "Kind words are the music of the world." - F. W. Faber
A question: Why is it that people say they "slept like a baby" when babies wake up like every two hours?

Up next: The Mighty Fine Part 4 of The 15, and more of the same stuff. Tune in. Please?
Peace Out!

Hey, hope ya'll are doing fine!

The title of the blog is a tagline, and yes, I decided to bring the whole old blog layout back.
Today's tagline was from: 'Til There Was You (1997)
Plot: Two strangers, whose paths are always crossing, finally meet when fate steps in. Starring John Plumpis, Janel Moloney and Yvonne Zima (of ER, anyone remember what role she played? Gwen?
)
The Song of The Blog: Rebel Moves - Doesn't Matter
The Fifteen: Part 2 - Lee Pace (this one is especially for winterbehaviour -and myself for that matter.
)

Yet another stupid decision from ABC, I'll dearly miss Pushing Daisies... I'm trying to drown my sorrow with the fact that the second season hasn't started here yet.

The Quiz of The Blog:
It's been a while, eh? Try this out!
Put your mp3 player on shuffle, and list the first ten songs.
01. Sun Rise Light Flies - Kasabian
02. Through The Glass - Stonesour
03. What Else Is There - Röyksopp
04. Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree - Brenda Lee
05. Robocop - Kanye West
06. For The Weekend - Hard-Fi
07. Crush - Jennifer Paige
08. Love Is Everything - kd lang (cover)
09. Surprise - Gnarls Barkley
10. Ruby - Kaiser Chiefs
Time to see what they mean to you!
1. Who does Song 1 remind you of?
Of a dream I once had, where I was being chased. This song would be a cool soundtrack to that!
2. What part of your life does song 2 describe the best?
Oh, when I broke-u with my ex-boyfriend/best friend, who was the first guy I ever dated, and still the only one I ever dated. What can I say, I'm not lucky at that department.
3. If you could dedicate song 3 to someone, who would it be?
Anybody who wants to listen to a really good song. And anyone who's at a turnpoint at their lives.
4. Does Song 4's lyrics mean anything to you personally?
Not really. Actually too Christmas-sy for me.
5. Why do you like song 5?
Because it has awesome sound effects at the beginning.
6. When did you first start listening to the artist of song 6?
I first heard them on the radio, their song "Hard To Beat" which is totally awesome.
7. How many albums do you have from the artist of song 7?
None.
8. How are number 8 and 9 similar?
I love them both? There's really not any similarity.
9. What is number 10's meaning?
It's one of my favorite songs ever. It's just so much fun to sing along!! *RUBY RUBY RUBY!!!!*
10. What song out of the 10 is your favorite?
#10 Ruby - Kaiser Chiefs
11. What song out of the 10 is your least favorite?
#04 Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree - Brenda Lee
12. Which song means the most to you and why?
#03 What Else Is There - Röyksopp. Not a solid answer to that why question. It just touches me. *shrugs*
13. Would you dedicate any of these to your love/crush?
#07 Crush - Jennifer Paige
14. Would you dedicate any of these to your enemy?
Nope. I don't really dedicate songs to my enemies.
15. Do these top ten songs fairly reflect your music collection?
Not really. I have a lot more old songs from the 60's and 70's.
And I just want to add #11 here, Beat It - Michael Jackson, because it's so awesome!
The Quote Of The Blog: "There are only four questions of value in life, Don Octavio. What is sacred? Of what is the spirit made? What is worth living for, and what is worth dying for? The answer to each is the same - only love." - Johnny Depp as Don Juan in Don Juan DeMarco.
And a question for all: If you were a bank robber, which bank would you rob, and why?
Next up: Part 3 of The Magnificent Fifteen, and more musings. Keep tuned.
Take care sweeties,
Peace Out =)

Hi all! My finals are all done and I'm off till 16th February. Yay! Bring on a month full of tv and books. I have so many shows that I'll try to go through, 30 Rock season 2, Arrested Development, Dead Like Me, The Big Bang Theory (I think I'm in love with Sheldon), True Blood and Dexter. Also I'm thinking about an overdose on Full House- I still love that show... Of course these are just for daytime, that I'll have marathons of. At night, 24, CSI:NY and The Mentalist will keep me busy.

13Jan 09Finals, revising, ugh...

Hiya, what's up everyone!
What I love about procrastinating is that you are bound to come across some pleasant or even cute stuff on the net at some point - that's of course you're a devoted procrastinator as I am.
So, enjoy your Tuesday with some cutie animals. And yes, they love you too.

"Yippee, I can fly!!"

"You hearin' what I'm hearin'?"
Just this: I want these two.

Slumber party!

"We're waaay cool."
"Oupsies, hick!"

"O-oh I have a baad feeling about this."

The curse of the red ribbon. Seriously, why do people do this? *goes off to apologize from her dog*

"Papparazzi again!!"
And for the winter season that is...

The song of the blog: Dramarama - Anything, Anything
Have fun, whereyou are, whatever you're doing. And leave a comment will ya?
Deliciously yours,

Hello people,
I don't know if there's anybody left to read this actually, people seem to be leaving the place in heaps. Weird, huh? Me, being bored as usual I ventured into the deepness of the beautiful quizworld. Let's see, you never know what you're going to learn about yourself.
Now the quiz thingy tells me that my mafia name is Susanna "Beef Face" Fiorelli. Now, not that I would ever considering the mafia but I think that seals the deal. What kind of a name is that? Couldn't it be something a tad cooler? Beef Face?!?! In that unlikely scenario my catch phrase would totally be "Bite me".
Moving on now...
An interesting topic... Belly buttons. What does my belly button say about me? I never really inquired that one before, I guess I'm saner than at least some people. I mean inquiring that is one thing but making an online quiz for that? Insane. Oh, according to my belly button I'mtrusted. Well thank you. Very much. I still have quesions though. And this bit of information cracked me up : " You are likely to be in excellent mental and physical health." Well, if I were in excellent mental health I wouldn't be here taking this quiz now, would I? But again if they are comparing me to themselves, then yes, I am.
Next quiz -can you tell that I have a lot of time in my hands?- What kind of soup am I? Mmm I just had a tomato soup for dinner, delicious. Anyway, let's see the result. It turns out that I am aChicken Noodle Soup. And the wisdom of the commentary please: "You like soup because it's easy, quick, and cheap." Amen to that!
Wow apparently I am %65 likely to survive another Great Depression. That sounds nice. I really have nothing to comment on at this one. Let's move on...
What metal am I? Copper. As in copper plumbing? I'll let this one slide as it says quite nice things about me in the commentary.
Hmm my word is Why?. Me likes it. I mean, what is life if you don't question it? I believe Socrates said something about this particular issue but my brain is too burnt out to remember itright now.
Let's have more fun with the name generator thingies... Wow I'm the new rapper in town people Almighty Scrappy! I have a feeling I would have some trouble findingwords torhyme with that though...
I'm gonna end this one with my Golden Globe predictions, if you don't mind... They are never right by the way.

Best Performance by an Actor In A Television Series - Drama
Michael C. Hall (Dexter) - because serial killers are way cool.
Best Television Series - Musical Or Comedy
30 Rock - It's Tina Fey's year people...
Best Performance by an Actress In A Television Series - Musical Or Comedy
I think all the nominees were awesome but either Christina Applegate or Tina Fey...
Best Performance by an Actor In A Television Series - Musical Or Comedy
Steve Carell (The Office)
Best Mini-Series Or Motion Picture Made for Television
John Adams - because I love Laura Linney
Best Performance by an Actress In A Mini-series or Motion Picture Made for Television
Laura Linney (John Adams) -Duh!
Best Performance by an Actor in a Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television
Kiefer Sutherland has my heart but Paul Giamatti may get the globe. Can't wait till 24 season premiere airs!
Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television
I'm gonna say Laura Dern (Recount) but probably Rachel Griffiths will get it.
Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television
Please, please, please Neil Patrick Harris (HIMYM)He is legen-wait for it- dary!!! *high fives*
So that was pretty much it. Like I warned at the title, it was pointless and silly but helped me pass the time. Now I'm off to make myself the strongest, balckest coffee ever made and get myself on a caffeine high before the Golden Globes start. Because apparently I have nothing better to do in the middle of the night. You gotta love imsomnia.
See you around guys, wish me luck at my finals.
Love,
BuRCuETA: Happy 2009 everybody! Have an awesome year!

22Aug 08Communication Gods hate me, they really do! After the hottest day of summer there was a wind storm and guess what? Yeap, no internet!! Oh and, hi all!
Well now that I made it here to post something, I might as well rant, rant and yeap, you are right, rant! Im my opinion ranting is one of the best inventions of the whole human history. Without ranting we would probably get so full of it, our heads would be like baloons full with water, ready to explode.

So todays topic. What happened to the young people?!?! I mean, I'm young, just 18 but even I think that something weird is going on... Here at our summer house, the population consists of two different types of people: you're either old, and trying to get everyone quiet, waking up at 5 AM in the morning, yelling at kids (actually I do that one, too!) or you're young, and you waste your time and probably some major organs drinking and staying up all night, numbing your brain with lots of gossip and mindless talk.
Nowadays most of my friends are heading back to the civilization so I'm kinda lonely here. A few nights ago I go out to the beach, and some friends joined me there. These people, whom I known since I was like 3 or 4, and they were just born, they are weird. Totally weird. And not normal, you know kinda funny, goofy weird. I like that kind of weird, I really do, heck, I heard people calling me weird but this is, my friends, this is a whole new level of weird.
These are little girls, I mean 13, 14 noone older. And they talk weird, they are proud of the fact that they've just stolen money from their parents to buy beer. And by beer I mean Miller and these are the only people to get drunk with two Millers I've ever known. It's just Miller kids, that shouldn't have that effect on anybody!! And it totally doesn't give you the right to sleep on my lap, either!! I'm not agains drinking, you could tell but I really think that one shouldn't waste oneself like that. I mean drunk singing is something and hitting on every single male species around is another, and have I mentioned these girls are only 14?!?!?! Maybe I'm just too old inside, maybe I'm too conventional (oh yeah...), or my mother's way of bringing me up is getting to me... I don't know what it is but I certainly do feel like an alien around them. If it's a crime to think that 14 year olds shouldn't be eating each others faces around then you know what to do to me.
I noticed something today while watching Ellen. My brother understands English. He studies English as a second language at school and he's 11, and I know for a fact that while reading or writing he's not really good at English. But he understands the basics while watching tv shows. I was having a Scrubs marathon today and he was like, "Oh I love this show, JD is so funny..." and I say "How can you tell that?" and he goes, "Well, he likes Elliot and yet they are avoiding each other, and he has this funny dreams." I'm like WTF?! , he says these of course in Turkish and he went on about other characters. He knew all their names, relationship statues and all. It was kinda scray, thinking that I was the only one with that ability at home. Kinda liberating, secure. Maybe I should work on my German. Oh and I noticed it first when I missed the monologue on Ellen and he summed it to me. Scary, I repeat.
Well, that's all folks.
Take care, see you around.

Oh how I wish it were... I'd even settle for women, cats or dogs, I'm not picky.
Unfortunately it's raining like crazy on a beautiful August night. August is supposed to be summer!!! And as if the rain wasn't enough it's all thunders and lightning. It's like mother nature is PMSing lol!
I was kinda lucky though I managed to get to the sea before the rain got to me. Don't you guys hate it too when it rains on your holiday?Well, don't mind the mild rant up there, I actually love the rain. It's a good excuse to put on something with sleeves at least.
I'm really not a summer person, I don't go out when sun is up so most people around me don't even notice I'm here, since they usually do the opposite... Like I'm not a summer person I'm not a morning person either. I don't really get morning people, either. I mean how can it be so nice to get yourself out of the warmth of your bed? And besides what can you do at the early hours? I mean there's nothing on TV in the morning....So here I am at our summer house, where the civilization just arrived with a slow internet connection, but hey, I'm not gonna complain about that one, better than nothing, eh? The day starts at 11, or 12 for me, I wake up and just read some books in the bed or watch a dvd before I dress myself up near 1 PM, and get downstairs for some breakfast. While fully loading myself up with whatever I can find to eat, I watch Rachael Ray and Ellen DeGeneres re-runs, in given order. Martha is on too but I find her to be too cold for my taste.
They finish sometime like 4 PM and then I come online, aimlessly lurk around and watch some vids at Youtube... Finally around 6PM my friends come and drag me out to the sea, literally. And then the most anticipated time of the day arrives: The NIGHT. It's when the fires are lit at the beach, when we drink, and sing at the top of our lungs. Yeah, I discovered when I'm drunk I start thinking my voice is splendid...

And the days go by like this... All I'm doing is killing time while I wait for the university replacements are announced. I'm almost sure that I made it to where I wanted but if I want to enroll, I have to wait till they officially announce it. I hate waiting, too.
Alright I won't bore you guys anymore with the mighty list of what I hate, since this blog is starting to be some kind of a therapy session for me lol!
But don't you agree that the summer is way overrated with all the joy and cheerfullness and all... It's like a surprise party that I really don't want to attend.. And yeah, I don't like parties either!

The song of the blog: Heartbeat - Madonna / Actually the whole Hard Candy album, it's addictive!

The hunks might or might not return, you decide, if you want them, give a name...
Tell me about your summer, or winter!
Keep safe and sound till next time!Love and hugs,
BuRCuPS. Lots of things changed around here this year, some people left, some people joined...
If you're one of the ones who left, goodbye, and take care,
and if you're new, don't be shy, drop me a line.
And the others, I missed all and each one of you, it's good to be back, at last!!

Well, the title sums it all up. Before learning how you guys are, I'm gonna give the scoop on my life ..=)) Only ninetysomething days left for the big test for me, dates are announced, the first part being on 15 June and the second following a week after, 22 June. I gotta admit, I've started to feel tense, more than I thought I would ever feel, and the workload has even become harder (was it even possible?!?!?!)So lately my life has been determined by my immediate needs and studying. I'm at school 8 hours a day, then right after that 2 hours at courses, 8 more hours at weekends each day... But I have to admit, I've never felt this info-loaded in my life...
That's all I can manage for now, stop by and leave a word or two,
Missed you loads!Love, BuRCu =))

Benjamin Franklin
Year's end is neither an end nor a beginning but a going on, with all the wisdom that experience can instill in us.

The Old Year has gone. Let the dead past bury its own dead. The New Year has taken possession of the clock of time. All hail the duties and possibilities of the coming twelve months!
Edward Payson Powell
Cheers to a New Year and another chance for us to get it right.
Oprah Winfrey
Ring out the old, ring in the new,
Ring, happy bells, across the snow:
The year is going, let him go;
Ring out the false, ring in the true.

For last year's words belong to last year's language
And next year's words await another voice.
And to make an end is to make a beginning.

While angels sing with tender mirth,
A glad new year to all the earth.
Martin Luther
A happy New Year! Grant that I
May bring no tear to any eye
When this New Year in time shall end
Let it be said I've played the friend,
Have lived and loved and labored here,
And made of it a happy year.
Edgar Guest
We spend January 1 walking through our lives, room by room, drawing up a list of work to be done, cracks to be patched. Maybe this year, to balance the list, we ought to walk through the rooms of our lives... not looking for flaws, but for potential.
Ellen Goodman
The object of a New Year is not that we should have a new year. It is that we should have a new soul and a new nose; new feet, a new backbone, new ears, and new eyes. Unless a particular man made New Year resolutions, he would make no resolutions. Unless a man starts afresh about things, he will certainly do nothing effective.
G.K. Chesterton

No one ever regarded the First of January with indifference. It is that from which all date their time, and count upon what is left. It is the nativity of our common Adam.

And if you do make New Year's Resolutions...(we all know you do...
)10 Tips for Keeping New Year's Resolutions:
1. Be realistic
The surest way to fall short of your goal is to make your goal unattainable.2. Plan ahead
Don't make your resolution on New Year's Eve. If you wait until the last minute, it will be based on your mindset that particular day.
3. Outline your plan
Decide how you will deal with the temptation to skip that exercise ****or have one more cigarette.
4. Make a "pro" and "con" list
It may help to see a list of items on paper to keep your motivation strong. Develop this list over time, and ask others to contribute to it. Keep your list with you and refer to it when you need help keeping your resolve.
5. Talk about it
Don't keep your resolution a secret. Tell friends and family members who will be there to support your resolve to change yourself for the better or improve your health. The best case scenario is to find yourself a buddy who shares your New Year's resolution and motivate each other.
6. Reward yourself
This doesn't mean that you can eat an entire box of chocolates if your resolution is to diet. Instead, celebrate your success by treating yourself to something that you enjoy that does not contradict your resolution. If you've been sticking to your promise to eat better, for example, perhaps your reward could be going to a movie with a friend.
7. Track your progress
Keep track of each small success you make toward reaching your larger goal. Short-term goals are easier to keep, and small accomplishments will help keep you motivated. Instead of focusing on losing 30 pounds, say, focus on losing that first 5. Keeping a food diary or a symptom journal may help you stay on track.
8. Don't beat yourself up
Obsessing over the occasional slip won't help you achieve your goal. Do the best you can each day, and take each day one at a time.
9. Stick to it
Experts say it takes about 21 days for a new activity, such as exercising, to become a habit, and 6 months for it to become part of your personality. Your new healthful habits will become second-nature in no time.
10. Keep trying
If your resolution has totally run out of steam by mid-February, don't despair. Start over again! There's no reason you can't make a "New Year's resolution" any time of year.

I'll try and come here more often..

Quote of the day: On every street of every city there's a nobody who wants to be a somebody...
Helloooo!! How is your week going so far? Mine is pretty well, Actually I'm in the middle of a movie night and thought I would post the blog in between. I've finished Taxi Driver, great acting and directing, though some parts could have been a little better... Woody Allen's Match Point is next. Have you watched them? What do you think?
The song of the day: Amorphis - Nightfall
These come especially for Val and KaitlynReynolds...
Channing Tatum!!! (He is HOT!!)

A little too much again I think... But... Who cares?! Love this photo posting thing. Anyone you'd like to see here, just let me know...
Have some more Harry Potter quotes, by Ron Weasley...
"A Study of Hogwarts Prefects and Their Later Careers... That sounds fascinating..."
"I want to fix that in my memory forever. Draco Malfoy, the amazing bouncing ferret..."
"Hearing voices no one else can hear isn't a good sign, even in the wizarding world."
"Viktor? Hasn't he asked you to call him Vicky yet?"
"Sunshine, daisies, butter mellow,
Turn this stupid, fat rat yellow.""But why's she got to go to the library?"
"Because that's what Hermione does. When in doubt, go to the library."[Hermione] "Aren't you two ever going to read Hogwarts: A History?"
"What's the point? You know it all by heart, we can just ask you."
"Accio Brain!"
"His life's ambition is to have his head cut off and stuck up on a plaque just like his mother," said Ron irritably. "Is that normal, Hermione?""Ron, we're supposed to show the first-years where to go!"
"Oh, yeah," said Ron, who had obviously forgotten. "Hey-hey you lot! Midgets!"
"Ron!"
"Well, they are, they're twitchy...""Aaaah," said Ron, imitating Professor Trelawney's mysical whisper, "when two Neptunes appear in the sky, it is a sure sign that a midget in glasses is being born, Harry..."
"...from now on, I don't care if my tea leaves spell 'die, Ron, die,' I'm chucking them in the bin where they belong."
"And no wonder we couldn't find Flamel in that Study of Recent Developments in Wizardry," said Ron. "He's not exactly recent if he's six-hundred and sixty-five, is he?"
"I'll make Goyle do lines, he hates writing," said Ron happily. He lowered his voice to Goyle's low grunt, mimed writing in midair. "I...must...not...look...like...a...baboon's...backside."
"It's obvious," said Ron. "You can pretend to be waiting Professor Flitwick, you know." He put on a high voice, "'Oh, Professor Flitwick, I'm so worried, I think I got question fourteen b wrong...'"
"Did I tell you I've invented a broomstick that'll reach Jupiter?"
"You need your inner eye tested if you ask me."
"Lockhart'll sign anything if it stands still long enough."
"Yeah, I've seen those things they think are gnomes," said Ron, bent double with his head in a peony bush, "like fat little Santa Clauses with fishing rods."
"Could've been anything," said Ron. "Maybe he [Tom Riddle] got thirty O.W.L.s or saved a teacher from the giant squid. Maybe he murdered Myrtle; that would've done everyone a favor..."
"It would've been so easy to push Malfoy off a glacier and make it look like an accident.."
"Percy wouldn't recognize a joke if it danced naked in front of him wearing Dobby's tea cozy."
"Oy, pea-brain!"
"Er--is this the new stand on elf rights?" said Ron. "You're going to make yourself puke instead?"
"Yeah, Dumbledore's off his rocker all right."
"When we come face-to-face with one down a dark alley, we're going to be having a shufti to see if it's solid, aren't we, we're not going to be asking, 'Excuse me, are you the imprint of a departed soul?"
"Yeah, well, Percy wouldn't want to work for anyone with a sense of humor, would he?"
"I love you, Hermione."
"IF WE DIE FOR THEM, I'LL KILL YOU HARRY!"
"You should write a book translating the mad things girls do so boys can understand them."
"And what in the name of Merlin's most baggy Y Fronts was that about?"
"I'm starving! All I've had since I bled half to death is a couple of toadstools!"
"Well, I don't know how to break this to you, but I think they might have noticed we broke into Gringotts."
"Blimey, Neville, there's a time for getting a smart mouth."
"What's up? If it's massive spiders again I want to eat breakfast before-"
"If you're not in Gryffindor we'll disinherit you, but no pressure."
"That makes me sound a lot cooler than I was."
Ahh these quotes make me remember all the books again.. Maybe I would do a readover again, who knows?
Have a great day and come back again later!!!
Peace Out! *hugs*

17Sep 07Hi!!!
How was your first day of the week? Mine wasn't that bad, at least the school was not as half as bad as I expected.
I really forgot answering the question #41 yesterday so, the answer was (my favorite song) is Rainbow In The Dark by Dio, and let it be the song of the day...
For Amy and Libby, my dear friends... Josh Holloway!!!

About the fasting thing, it is not obligatory but it is strongly advised, religiously. I haven't fasted for the last years, it was really hard for me to do with the school and all but this year I felt like doing it and I'm fasting, actually in 15 minutes I'll be having dinner so I'm sorry if these doesn't make any sense... And the incident the president had was something most of us experienced, it is really amazing how much of our time we spend eating or drinking. Especially drinking, it's a habitual thing. On the first days of fasting it's hard to keep in mind that you aren't supposed to... I mean I found myself in front of the fridge at least 3 times only today!
But really it's not a hard as you think it would be. After the first day, which is the hardest, you just get used to it, and I gotta admit, not eating for a while is working out just fine for me. I feel lighter, more energetic!
I'm off to dinner hunnies, take care and have fun tonight!!!
Peace Out! *hugs*

The Song Of the Day: Deep Purple - Smoke On The Water
Sorry I couldn't post the Hugh Jackman photos like I said I would but I've been having internet problems and tv.com is not cooperating with me. Everytime I try it says, HTML not well formed - no valid tags were found. Yeap, that one, you know it... I'm not on the boards as much anymore, either, mainly because I have too many homework, and some other board related problems. So the blog goes on..
Hugh Jackman!!! (Remember the Dr.Cox quote?)

It's Ramazan, people, I don't know if you ever heard about this or you know the concept but, in Ramazan we -muslims- fast. Nothing obligatory though, the aim is to understand what the people living in those conditions feel, and bonding as a community. You don't eat or drink till the evening. You try not to do anything bad, not to hurt anyone and not to say anything bad. And finally when you're able to eat, to be happy and thankful that you have somehing to eat and drink. A good time to remember those who are not as lucky as we are and help them...
Some Harry Potter quotes... (If you haven't read the new book, may contain spoilers...)
From Harry....
"I don't go looking for trouble. Trouble usually finds me."
"Voldemort uses people his enemies are close to. He's already used you as bait once, and that was just because you're my best friend's sister. Think how much danger you'll be in if we keep this up. He'll know, he'll find out. He'll try and get to me through you."
"Brilliant! It's Potions last thing on Friday! Snape won't have the time to poison us all!"
"Yeah, Quirrell was a great teacher. There was just that minor drawback of him having Lord Voldemort sticking out of the back of his head!"
"Wow, I wonder what it'd be like to have a difficult life?"
"You can't give a Dementor the old one-two!"
"Proud?" said Harry. "Are you crazy? All those times I could've died, and I didn't manage it? They'll be furious...."
"You know your mother, Malfoy? The expression on her face - like she's got dung under her nose? Is she like that all the time or just because you were with her?"
"He [Dumbledore] will only be gone from the school when none are loyal to him."
"It's just hard," Harry said finally, in a low voice, "to realize he won't write me again."
"I realised I can't shut myself away or crack up. It could be me next, couldn't it? But if it is, I'll make sure I take as many Death Eaters with me as I can and Voldemort too, if I can manage it."
"Snape killed Dumbledore."
"Dumbledore's man through and through," said Harry. "That's right."
"Wow... look at that... he's not here now! So why not have a go? They might be able to find you a double cell in Azkaban with your loser of a husband!"
"Well, think back," said Harry. "Have you ever let it slip that you'd like to go out in public with the words 'My Sweetheart' round your neck?"
"I like a quiet life, you know me."
"And they'd [the Death Eaters] love to have me," said Harry sarcastically. "We'd be best pals if they didn't keep trying to do me in."
"SHE KILLED SIRIUS! SHE KILLED HIM -- I'LL KILL HER!"
"They don't know know we're not allowed to use magic at home. I'm going to have a lot of fun with Dudley this summer..."
"There's no need to call me sir Professor."
"No, it was honest," said Harry. "One of the only honest things you've said to me. You don't care whether I live or die, but you do care that I help you convince everyone you're winning the war against Voldemort."
"This is night, Diddykins. That's what we call it when it goes all dark like this."
"Severus Snape wasn't yours," said Harry. "Snape was Dumbledores, Dumbledores from the moment you started hunting down my mother..."
"Albus Severus..you were named for the two headmasters of Hogwarts. One of them was a Slytherin and he was probably the bravest man I ever knew."
See you later folks! Have a great week!
Peace Out! *hugs*

13Sep 07Hellooooo!!!

Arrghh I have to wake up early tomorrow and go take an English test consisting of 100 questions!!!
I won't say anything else just read through... Here are your answers...
Kaitlyn
Vanilla or chocolate ice cream?
Mmm, definetaly chocolate. I really dislike vanilla, both scent and taste.
Which CSI character are you most alike?
Hard one. Come to think about it, I might be like Stella a little. Bad jokes, but very serious at work..
With whom would you want to spend a day?
Someone famous? That would be Eddie Cahill!
Since it is not possible, I'm happy with B-flack right now.
Which character trait of yours do you like most?
The thing I like about myself is that I'm never really bothered by anything, I'm always cheerful, the longest sad phase I have ever had was for two days. Yeah, that's my favorite character trait, I'm cheerful.
Charlotte
If you could meet anyone from ER,who would it be?
I would love to meet George Clooney!!
But from current cast I'd like to meet Maura Tierney, I would ask her load of things.
If you could be a person for a day. who would it be?
I don't know. Maybe an improved me? Narsistic?
Well, I'd love to spend a day as a male rock star *insert whoever you want*, just because I'm curious.
Lin
If you only had time left to watch one episode of anything, what would it be?
That's just very very cruel. Only one episode? One little episode... It would be ER, Either season 3 Union Station or season 8 Somewhere Over The Rainbow. It would probably be Somewhere Over The Rainbow, that way it would be more meaningful.
Sal
How'd you find TV.com?
Since we follow American shows from behind, I needed spoilers, like crazy. So my addiction to Gilmore Girls got me here but ER was the first show I had entered the forum of, which I am truly happy that I did. CSI:NY followed that after a few months.
What's you favorite music?
I love rock music especially alternative rock. Lately I have been listening to HIM, Manic Street Preachers, Snow Patrol and Editors a lot. But they tend to change every once in a while.
What makes you stand out amongst your friends?
My humour. I can seriously laugh and make jokes under any circumtances. Even when I'm mad or sad (or smad
) I break into laughs.
jordinajamaica
Do you wear a pyjamas?
Yeap. Everynight. I share my room with my borther for God's sake!
Do you dream in colour or in Black & White?
Nope. I mean not as far as I remember ... They are very vivid and colourful and in English. Don't ask me why...
Do you prefer Bruce Willis with or without hair?
One word: Without.
How do you imagine your life in 2012?
In 5 years I'll be about 22 years old and I'll probably have finished uni, or be at leats at my last year. It won't be much different but I'd like to think that It'll be slightly better with more independence.
BM
If you'd have to delete all the pics in your computer but one, which one would you save?
Don't... make... me... choose...
But I would spare this one if I had to.
Em
Tell us about the most fun you remember having..
Our cl*a*s*s was cancelled and we who lived away from school remained in till the bus came. 3 girls in one room with one of them dead asleep. That was fun. I mean we tried not to wake her up and I failed miserably at being quiet, I dropped a bottle, bent down to retrieve it and hit my head to the desk with all my force, crying out loud. Then the other friend who was awake, obviously, trying to shut me up, hit me with the book a little too hard. That started the war. I threw her some paper balls she responded and in a few minutes the room looked like there had been an explosion. The funny thing was that the friend of mine who was sleeping managed to sleep through it all...
SassyMax
If you had to marry a famous person, who would you marry?
Do I have to? But you already answered that in the quetion, right. Then it would be Tom Welling, I guess. Young and hot!!
Who would you turn gay for..
Totally and definetaly Şebnem Ferah... She's like a legend here. The one and only, Turkish rock diva...
Kathy
If you could visit any place, where would it be?
Right now, I'd like to visit New York.
If you could live any place where would it be?
Boston. I had this in my mind ever since I was little. Have I ever been to Boston? No.
And of all the lovely eye candy you post, who is your absolute favorite?
Jared, Milo, Elijah and Goran hits it high but absolute favorite? Josh Holloway.
My question to all: Have you ever shoplifted? If you did, what did you steal?
My answers, although the ending was amazing in The Return Of the King, I like the Two Towers better. And you have all chose to be shot rather than being stabbed. Interesting... Probably I would, too.
Another question: Which Harry Potter book you liked the best?
The song of the day: HIM - Right Here In My Arms
Jensen Ackles...

Take care... I'll be back tomorrow with Hugh Jackman, will you?
Peace Out! *hugs*
