On the road to PC elitism!

Like I blogged about here a while back, I've stolen a computer from work. It had been gutted to an extent and needed a new GPU before I would be able to play anything. Tonight I just ordered an 8800GT and 4GBs of RAM and I'm back on my way to playing PC games again.

As an added bonus, the video card I ordered comes with a free copy of Crysis. Outside of that I'm hoping to get the PC version of Oblivion. I've put somewhere around 500-600 hours into the 360 and PS3 versions and I'm stoked to get to play it with mods, and better performance. I simply couldn't be more excited.

I was raised on PC gaming. One of my friends had a Nintendo, but I was usually too busy playing King's Quest to be bothered with that Mario nonsense. Later on we got a Super Nintendo, and it was cool, and I sorta fell out of PC gaming until we got a brand spanking new top of the line Intel 486! I was the envy of my nerd friends at the time. I remember totally falling in love with Command and Conquer: Red Alert, which I think still goes down as the best Christmas present my dad has ever given me. My favorite games then were easily Half-Life, Interstate '76, the Quest for Glory series, C&C: RA and Quake.

Those were the good old days and they are coming back.

    Vice President... Mom?

John McCain has chosen Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as his running mate.

...tell me why it is ok that she is inexperienced? This is an obvious ploy to try and win over Hilary supporters, and I think it will backfire.

Vice President Badass... I mean Biden.

Obama has picked Joe Biden to be is Vice Presidential running mate. This guy is a badass. The campaign is going to be really fun to watch now I think. Biden is a straight shooter, and he's not afraid to be brutally honest and blunt. Here are some of my favorite Biden moments:

    Biden rips Rudy pt.1

    Biden rips about Rudy pt.2

    Biden on healthcare

Biden on the war and forreign policy

The guy is sharp as hell. He is the chairman of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations and that is the kind of guy we need as VP, someone with plenty of experience dealing with other countries. I couldn't be happier.
