I'm so excited! October 5th and the Islanders officialy return! Sure i love my baseball but it dosen't have the same amount of violence that I have come to know and love as the NHL
.Their first pre-season game is September 17th versus Montreal. I get to go to the pre-season game at the Colessium versus the Rangers
I'm looking very foward to it! Then on the 6th the home opener versus the Sabres (who we play at the season open in Buffalo the night before) Here's to hoping for 2-0!!!- Posted Sep 7, 2007 6:58 pm PT

Yay! The Sabres won! They beat the Rangers 5-4. I'm soooo happy!
This is going to get intresting. Buffalo vs Ottawa. If you remember, they are the two teams that got into that gigantic brawl. It was cool
This round will be fantastic! Now there's not really a team for me to hate. I want Anaheim to win it all. I don't know why. They've never bugged me or the Islanders. Also, I've been to Anaheim. Nice place. But they're good too! So...go Ducks! Yaaaaay!
And the Mets are trying to sweep Arizona, which is my 2nd favorite baseball team. Except for when the Mets play them

Talk to ya'll later.

Last night the Isles lost to the Sabres. No surprise. yet, I'm not angry. Just a bit sad. I suppouse part of the reason is that so many of them were playing hurt and I didn't know it. Hilbert had a 3rd degree shoulder seperation, Asham a broken hand.
But I can name one person that didn't help us. Sean Hill. He got suspended 20 games for abusing the drug policy, the first player to do so. Ok, now the NHL is just cheating us. They knew for awhile but didn't suspend him until NOW? The NHL s**ks.
Even worse, he may not have DONE it! He and DiPietro are good friends, and he looked DP in the eyes and told him he didn't take drugs. Great.
Oh well. If the Sabres play the Rangers (and they probably will) Let's go Sabres

Ok, so he's a bit further away than originally expected.
Today he skated for the first time since the second concussion (No thanks to SEAN AVERY. He fell on DP, causing a second concussion I want Avery to get slammed so hard his head falls off) but still needs to pass nurelogical exams before getting back in net.
So, this means Dublewicz for game 1. Ok, not so bad. They've said DiPietro MAY play in the series, but it's deffenetly looking better than it did last week

BREAKING NEWS
Yes, oh yes! I am telling you, someone wants us to win! We got a second chance to get into the playoffs, Bejin (the one who hurt DP) pretty much lost the game for Montreal (we needed Montreal to loose) and we won in the shootout! Bruno Gervais is coming back, and Zednik may be coming back as well. AND Dubie is fantastic. Can't get any better, right?
Well, I just read it off of NHL.com, and apparently, DP is scheduled to be in goal for game 1! YES YES YES YES!
I know this may not entirely be so, but I did get it from NHL.com, not an unofficial site, and it appears the Islanders will have DP news tomorrow. So, look out Buffalo: DP is (most likley) coming home!

Yay! After a pretty good 6 game road trip, the Mets (I almost typed Isles!) are back home at Shea Stadium! They were taking on the Phillies.
First, let me point something out:

Meet the enemy, Jimmy Rollins. He opened his mouth about us Mets fans and acted completley abonxious. Of course they booed him today. Joke son him because his errors won the game for the Mets.
Yes, they won! 11-5 in the bottom of the 8th. What fun! I missed like the whole game besides the last half inning (no bottom of the 9th needed) and the starting festivites like the team introductions and Keith Hernandez throwing out the ceremonial first pitch. Here's a few pictures of today:

Quite a game, I love the mets almost as much the Isles! Oh, and my baseball cutie:

I have Rick DiPietro for hockey and David Wright for baseball. I love em both!
Let's Go Mets!

Yes, yes, yessssssssssss! Today's game was a heart stopper! We needed tonight to get the number 8 seed in the eastern confrence, the very last spot in the WHOLE NHL, mind you.
As if a 2-0 lead in the 3rd didn't seem spoilable, the Isles did not surprise. They gave up a goal. Frick. With the last few seconds, we were winning 2-1 and it was in the bag!
So it seemed. .9 seconds left, a goal. A FRICKIN GOAL! I almost had a heart attack, not kidding. I was ACTUALLY crying. So, overtime.
Nothing, not even with 30 seconds of a power play. So...shootout. Triple frick. I was sooooo pissed.
Satan, Kozlov, and Smyth. I wasn't so sure. Where's Blake? Where's Park, who got our two goals? It didn't make sense.
But apparently, I was wrong and Nolan was right. Satan scores! But Parise ruins it and gets a goal for the Devils. Wonderful.
Now it's Kozlov, ex-Devil. He...SCORES! Yes, yes, yes! I was screaming at this point. Gionta's turn. He shoots and...NO GOAL! It's all starting to come together.
Now for Mr.Captain Canada, Ryan Smyth. He goes for the goal and...dosen't get anywhere near it. As much as I like him, I could've choked him. Now for the Devils, it's all up to Brylin. I'm totally spazzing out, Brylin's shootout record is excellent. He picks up his skates, glides towards Duiblewicz and...it's....a.....
POKE CHECK SAVE BY DUIBLEWICZ! The Islanders were IN! You should've seen the sight, Duiblewicz rushing towards the bench, pumping his arms as Tambellini closes in and jumps him. The whole team is up off the bench, cheering and forming a crowd around Dubie. The coaches jump each other on the bench. Such a perfect sight. And an instant classic. Check it out yourselfs:

So now it's Isles vs. the 1st seeded Buffalo Sabres, and I have tix for the first two rounds of the playoffs!
LET'S GO ISLANDERS!!!!

Oh. my God. This could not get ANY worse! DiPietro got hurt Tuesday night at Montreal when he skated out to the blue line to stop Bejin on a breakaway. Come on Rick, it's Bejin, not Crosby. Use your head man.
Well, that head got hit hard by Bejin's leg and skate and it was pressumed DiPietro had a concussion. They put in frickin Mike Dunham, who I do not like, and of course, he blows the game for us.
Luckily, DiPietro has no concussion, just soreness, but for saftey is sitting out tonight's game. Frick, frick frick. We need to win because if Carolina beats those Devils tonight, we're moving down
I don't wanna go down.I hope DP plays Saturday at the Panthers, we need him! Luckily, the Rangers took a horrid loss the other night and went from 8th to 10th (hahahah!
) But the Devils, who I need to win tonight, played extremly sloppy last night and lost 3-0 to frackin Crosby and his retardo Penguins. Go Isles and Devils for tonight!

Ok, so the NHL trade deadline came and went, it ended this Tuesday at 3 pm. And we're the talk of the NHL because of our last minute "blockbuster" deal.
We were able to hold on to Jason Blake AND make the biggest trade of the NHL! We sent prospects Ryan O'Mara and Robert Nilson along with this year's first round draft pick for Edmonton's Ryan Smyth! We got frickin Captian Canada!
Last night they made a whole huge deal about it, there were signs and they were already selling Smyth jerseys. Yes, people WERE buying them. Unfortunatley, DiPietro, as much as I love him, screwed the whole game by getting a fricikin penalty after he let in the 2 tieing goals. In overtime, we lose after like 30 seconds.
So, we ruined Smyth's debut. I'm sorry he had to see that. Frickin Blues. They better do better tomorrow.
At least Smyth got an assist. Good for him. Check this out:

We also got Richard Zednik and Marc-Andre Bergeron during the trade span.
Hoping we get to the playoffs!

Ok, so, the Islanders won last night, HUGE win, totally destoryed the Maple Leafs in a shootout.
But I saw clips of Senators vs Sabres, and it was awesome! So much fighting, including a goalie and goalie fight! How awesome is that? There were so many penalties and maybe even suspensions. I love the NHL! Plus, the Sabres took the most hits, losing all those players, and they still won in a shootout!
See, that's what I like about a team. You take alot of hits, lose alot of players, but still come out to win and provide quality entertainment. I totally hate the Senators for reasons unknown (I guess because I went to my friend's b-day party 3 years ago at an Islanders game, afternoon against the Sens) and they were a very annoying team. So, go Sabres!
There's a re match Saturday night, I'd give anything to see that game....

No Islanders tonight
Ugh, guess I'm stuck with watching the Rangers versus the Red Wings. I hope they suffer a humilating loss like we did with the Wings.I'm absolutley FREEZING. It's like -10 degrees outside and I can't stand it. I hate school and everyone in it, no joke.
I'm gonna scream into the couch or something, see ya.

Tonight it's the Islanders against the Buffalo Sabres, pretty much the best team in the NHL right now. yes, they are veeery good.
But it's retro night! 1972 jerseys, sweeet. Party like it's 1972, even if I wasn't born then.
Only 7 more hours!

I am currently seriously considering quitting this website.
I feel like I don't have much freedom as far as my OWN opinon, and that makes me very upset

For now I will just be taking a looooong break, but may be quitting forever, even deleting my account if possible.
It's not like I don't like this site, I do, it's very helpful and well organized, but I don't feel like I can be myself here

So don't go looking for me the next few days/weeks

Hey ya'll! I was just posting to say I've changed my avvie from Stewie to JD. I'm really obsessed with Scrubs right now, so I wanted JD.
I may change it back eventually, but I just wanted to announce it.
