  falling into fallout 3

  

  i'd like to think that this day will be getting better or at least the end of the week will be getting better considering i have the next two days off from work. w00t. it's almost been 2 years since my last big vacation and all i have to show for a vacation this time around was a few days in Vancouver for a cousin's wedding. don't get me wrong it was awesome and i got time to spend it with family but because it was a wedding, and a family wedding at that, there was a lot of running around and seeing people, etc. seeing as i have two more weeks of vacation saved up plus some OT i decided to take out some personal days and just chill and catch up on things.

  it's nice to wake up in the morning and not have a care in the world for at least a few minutes. i thought i'd clean around the house and catch up on some email and reading but i was pleasantly surprised to find mail from Amazon. Fallout 3, baby. i pre-ordered this last week and didn't think i'd be getting it any time soon according to their shipping dates but apparently all the stars were aligned and i got it ahead of the approximate date of delivery. i'm tempted to just put this in and see what it's like. will it bring back memories of the first Fallout i ever played? will i choose the VAT system or just run and gun like any FPS? will i be in awe of Ron Perlman's velvety voice acting as the narrator? hahah. probably. all i know is that if i pop this into the ol'360 my day is done.

  ... maybe i'll play for just a little bit.

  how now brown cow?

  i figured i might blog here considering i have an account. i can add it to the numerous other blogs, which have saddenly been neglected, that i have floating around in cyberspace. i might as well put this one to some use besides listing the number of games i own and calculating in my head with dread how much money could have been saved for this and that and whatever in-between. seriously, i wish shiny objects entranced and amused me like when i was a child. it would definitely be cheaper to say the least but would it be just as fun?

  it's October and there are sooooo many games coming out that i am looking forward to. i've held off buying a few new ones but making a down payment on a future condo hellps put a few dents on funds. even as these words escape my fingers i am running in my head how much of a tab i can bill to my credit card(s) without breaking the bank. considering the state of the world market you think i'd feel more guilty and be more of a penny pincher... but i want to be entertained. dance, monkey, dance. but even with that being said i think i'd probably purchase only one or two at most.which one to pick is the hard part.
