Final Fantasy XII
Dragon Quest VIII
Okami
Fifa 07
And with that my christmas is complete. If you don't already know, Final Fantasy XII is fantastic. Okami is great as well, but I haven't gotten very far. Fifa 07 of course is dependable as all hell. Dragon Quest VIII is in the same boat, and if Fifa is dependable soccer, DQ is dependable role playing.
Turns out the hardest part of college is self control, wisdom wisdom wisdom.
Enjoy all those games guys, I will.

Chrono what? And University life.
While I was a bit underwhelmed by this title for not living up to the expectations set by Chrono Trigger, I'll admit that Chrono Trigger was an extremely tough act to follow. Chrono Cross is a gorgeous RPG with an incredible soundtrack, a fairly enjoyable combat system, and an amazing story that for some reason just didn't touch me in quite the same way Chrono Trigger did. Nevertheless, it's easily one of the most impressive RPGs on the PS1.
Blow me. This was his/her praise for the number five game on his list of "best games of 1999." Besides, Chrono Cross came out in August of 2000. So "Glacia" just neede to let everyone know how much he loved Chrono Trigger a year early. Chrono Cross gets so much grief. People run around like chickens with their heads lopped off every time some one even mentions Chrono Trigger. God forbid this little paragraph of his/hers gets devoted to sole praise of Chrono Cross instead of two references to its older brother.
How long has it been since my last blog? Far too long I think. I've gotten deep into Pokemon again, trying to create good pokemon to trade over to Dimaond/Pearl when that comes out in early 2007. I'm also Netbattling a lot, but if you're not up on that then you probably never wanted to be.
Halo 2 is also a big player now. Since I'm going to a University, my roomate has the Xbox and I didn't want to distract myself with my own game system. Halo 2, and Fifa 06/07. Since Fifa 07 jus came out I'm trying to get used to it.
Trying to keep my grades up, have a good time, everything's nice and shiny for now. I'm on Gamespot all the time, I just don't really patrol the boards like I used to so go ahead and say what's up.

Women
I don't know, seemed like a pretty sweet title.
Not much to say, I haven't been gaming too much thanks to high school graduation and other matters.
But this deserved an update. Less deserved, more simply had it coming.

The end result?
Here's my immediate future:
New Super Mario Bros.
Okami
I could pee my pants over the Nintendo Wii, and tell you all about the rear the DS will kick this year, but it's best summed up in this way:
$300 for my next gen.
Pokemon and Super Smash Brothers Brawl in early 2007
What more could a boy want? Meanwhile I'll probably stay a good distance away from WoW. My upcoming college education depends on it.
Lost magic is ...great! Only problem is that it's impossible. I'm killing myself to have fun. I guess I'm just not a very skilled gamer.

The rush...aiyee!
I remember now why everyone loves the Sonic games so much. After memorizing the levels, which isn't very hard, the speed of Sonic Rush is such a plus. The better you become at knowing the stages the more comfortable you can get with tricks and dashes. I love this game.
Strangely, I can't recall a single game that has ever tried to do what the Sonic games have. That is, really fast roller-coaster like platforming. And it's too bad for anyone who wanted to try because now that Sonic Rush was successful I can see even better Sonic games on the horizon.
In other news I've weened myself off of WoW. Wasn't as hard as I thought, but man oh man does that game really suck after a while. For the record:
F games that force you to not have fun at any point.
I've also been giving a lot of games that flew under my radar a try (i.e. Way of the Samurai and Gungrave: Overdose). Way of Samurai (the first one) is pretty fun, but does get a little boring. It has a ton of potential though so I can't wait for how the PS3 version will turn out.
Gungrave: Overdose on the other hand is too good to be true. I had no idea it was an anime series, I just mistook this game for a random act of manliness. Honestly, it cures what ails me. It has been far too long since I've just played a goon game, meaning a game in which the people you kill are complete goons. They have no meaningful anguished back story, you just slaughter them. They run up in single colored Japanese suit get-ups, and you front them with the grave that you were reborn in. Your handguns are the size of your forearms, which, is ridiculous. Ridiculously life shattering that is.
O.k. I think I'm up to date. At the rate that I'm buying DS games, it's definitely going to be my top system in about a year. Let me see: Lost Magic, Contact, New Super Mario Bros., Children of Mana, Point Blank. That's five games already, I'm not mentioning all of ten others that make me salivate, and then another 20 or 30 that look just plain fun. This is one of the best video game investments I've made in a long, long time. Some say there's a handheld war, but honestly, just look. Look at this. Look at it. More like a handheld Rochambeau.
