To buy a PSP or not to buy a PSP...
When I first heard of the PSP years ago, my initial reaction was, "Cool, but no way am I gonna buy one." None of the games really interested me much. And even though Metal Gear Ac!d sounded and looked cool, I was not convinced it was worth the money. Not until I got done reading a hands-on report of GTA:LCS in my trusty PSM mag. today. All I needed to read to become convinced was one word--snow. Snow is going to be the new weather effect in Liberty City and I'm all for it. I've wanted snow in a GTA game since I finished GTA3. I've wanted to ride snomobiles or even ski. Snow is cool, and it will be even cooler in a GTA game. And this PSP version is said to be as streamless as any of the others. The only load times are said to those at the main menu and between the 3 islands. And probably the best thing, next to snow, is the fact that there are motorcycles in Liberty City finally. Now I can finally blast my way through Saint Marks on my sleek PSJ 600. The only question that remains in my head is--should I pay 200 bucks for a hand-held system for one game? Well, that's pretty much what I did with my GameCube just to play Resident Evil and MGS, why not here? We'll see soon enough.

An Issue with Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes
When I bought this, I thought it was going to be the best thing ever. The original had great music, great voice acting, great story, and the lot. When I started playing, I noticed the voice work had been completely re-done, the music was different, and on top of all that--it was too damn easy. I mean the fight with Ocelot was pretty much useless since I could stand in one spot and shoot. The fight with Raven was the same. I could kill him with the SOCOM for cripes sake. But the two things that got me was the fact that SK traded the dramatic story for some action packed, over hauled, acrobatic cutscenes which I found too far fetched to be even the slightest bit entertaining (except for the Ninja). The second was the voice actress for Naomi. She was supposed to be such a key character with such power in her voice, but instead she sounded as bored as someone counting the pixels on a game screen. I was very disappointed.

The extent to my Legacy of Kain fandom
As I said before I am a huge fan of Kain. And inspired as I was, I made some, well, lets just say I am good at art. First I hand made each of the Clan banners from SR1 out of cloth and felt. Then I made a Clan symbol for Kain as well (this was the hardest). I hung them all up around my room so it looks more like the Sanctuary of the Clans. It is pretty cool.
After that I made those cloaks that each of the Lieutenants wore--the symbol to signify the clan, and the mirrored symbol (same one, just reversed) next to it to signify the Clan leader. Made one of each of the Lieutenants and hung them on my ceiling.
After that, I was bored so I decided to make a map of Nosgoth out of construction paper and cardboard. Took me about a week to make and it wa svery painful (my back almost broke). It's about 24" x 21". Hung that up behind my computer. I also attempted to make some figures out of clay, but I found Blue Box Toys had their own, so I gave that up. I impressed myself quite a bit with all my creations. I also like to boast about them.
