So life is as busy as ever. I go to school six days a week, and I work four days a week. I have extra-curriculars on Sundays and Tuesdays. So lets just say that keeping up with homework and trying to watch the newest episodes of Heroes is hard enough of a balancing chore. Which reminds me, I have chores to do too.
Anyway, so this is my regular check in with everyone. Hope y'all are doing well. For me the new school year has brought a lot of cool things as well as a lot of new and sometimes tedious things. I am hoping to make it to Christmas, and then enjoy a nice break.
I actually updated my profile too! Where there was once a red x where my picture was supposed to be (for about an entire year), there is now actually a picture! Also I've updated my profile banner for the first time since I originally set it (I think). So all in all, the new renovations are quite the improvement and I feel proud for small achievements. Oh, and if you're wondering who the new icon person is, that is Arlene Francis. An amazingly cheerful and charming woman, she was known as the first woman of radio and television (for even though she wasn't the 'first' she was certainly big and one of the more newer and well-known and beloved women in it). Arlene paved the way for women in television and was one of the first women to host a serious tv program. Anyway, that's your history lesson for today.
Until later.....bye!

22Jun 08Excitement abounds as I have now become a "Red Shirted Lt." Finally, I have achieved a Star Trek title (even if it is from the Original series and I have the title of the people that always die). Nevertheless, I will momentarily bask in the light of this until a tentacled monster comes out of the computer screen and stabs a whole in my brand new red shirt.

Wow, long time, no blog.
So for part of our Christmas present my Mom, Dad, sister, and me all went to Disneyland. It was all lit up for Christmas and very beautiful at night time. We met up my my aunt, uncle, and cousins for the day. We went on Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, Peter Pan, It's a Small World, Buzz Lightyear, The Amazing Shrinking and Enlarging Machine show (in 3-D), Indiana Jones, Thunder Mt., and maybe some other things. We all ate an extremely overpriced lunch, and had loads of fun.

More pics are on my myspace if you want to see them.
Otherwise my Christmas was great, hope yours was the same.- Posted Dec 29, 2007 11:56 pm PT

We think our house is ok, as some people down and across the road stayed in their house and said that the fire circled the hill that our house is on without touching it. No, Doug, I didn't think to bring my poster, but it should still be ok. Pepper is safe, I found his Petco carrier box that he came home in when we bought him (it is small and portable), and we packed up his big cage in the back of the extra truck. He is currently sleeping in his big cage in the spare room I am staying in (I am in my cousin Jason's room, as he is off to college). We were forced to leave our three cats, but we left a lot of food out for them (for thefew days we planned onbeing gone) and just hoped that the fire didn't hit our house. They should still be there, and have food (as they are outside cats, the only difference is that theyhaven't seen us).My college was closed down Monday and Tuesday (yesterday and today) and I need to check online if it will be open tomorrow. I am not sure of what they'll do, as many freewways are still shut down.
Nyssa and Adelle live in the heart of town, and away from leafy foliage, so they stayed. I don't know how they are breathing as the air quality is so poor, but they and their house are safe.
Yes, Hannah had to evacuate too. She evacuated with her family to Clairemonte (they are staying at her Grandma's house). They had enough time to pack some of their clothes and more important things. They packed up Emma too and put her in an animal carrier. She is safely with them, but grumpy.Hannah's house in on the side of town that the fires burned, so we don't know yet if it is ok. No one in town that stayed can check for us, because that side of town has been blocked off due to the fires.
Oh wait, I just I called Hannah and she said thatour friends Nyssa and Adelle drove into the fire area (they snuck in somehow) and said that her house is safe. She also said Emma is happily adjusted to her Grandma's house. She is currently sleeping on someone's bed, under their sheets.Hannah was able to grab her frogs too. Her last beta died before the evacuation, so she only had to move the frogs.
So both of our houses are safe, which is quite the miracle as they were both quite near fire zones. We don't know if our church has burned down yet, or how many members and staff have had their houses burned down. The church staff is going to have an emergency meeting to assess the damage and start helping people whose houses have burned...as soon as we are allowed back in Ramona. Both of our families have decided that as soon as they allow people to re-enter Ramona, we are going back in. We don't want to burden the people we are staying with, and we need to take care of things at home.
Doug thank you so much for your prayers, and please thank your mom and your church for me. So far, the prayers seemed to have worked because the fires have come close to both of our houses and then stopped. Houses that were just two or so streets down from Hannah's house burned, and I heard that the fire circled the back ridgeof the hill by our house. Still, there is a lot of praying to be done as a lot of people have lost their homes and the fire is still burning in Ramona and the rest of San Diego County. It was estimated yesterday that 1/4 of San Diego County had been evacuated. That is all of the news I can think of so far that is important. Thanks so much for your concern, and know that Hannah and I (and our families) are both safe.
Love,

Ok so if you guys are watching the news, and know where I live, I thought you might be worried, so I wanted to post here really quick.
We evacuated our house as there are 8 large fires spanning all of San Diego county. The fire known as the Witch Creek Fire, has caused our entire town to be evacuated. Other whole towns have been evacuated as well. We originally evacated to my mom's friend's house in Rancho Bernardo, but were then evacuated again. Fortunately we made it out before the fire got too close and the freeway jammed up. A lot of the major freeways have been closed as the fires have jumped them. We are currently at my Aunt Monica and Uncle Steve's house in Santee. We are safe and sound and awaiting a more permanent place to evacuate to (as it is pretty full here with our cousins, Aunt and Uncle, and grandparents.)
We had enough forewarning to pack some of the more important things, and get all of the dogs loaded up. We had an extra truck, and itwas a really big blessing as Grandpa drove Dad's truck out (which was loaded with his work stuff) and Dad was able to load up a lot of important things in the back ofthe extratruck. I may not be at a place where I can update all you guys again for awhile, but just know that we're safe. Please keep us in your prayers.Jessica

I have found the most sure-fire way of accidentally getting a lot of boys to ask you out. Some guys just can't help but be chivalrous, and today I accidentally happened to lock my keys in my car about 45 minutes before my big math test. My books, graphing Calculator, and time I had to study were all sitting right there in my trunk with my keys sitting faithfully on the driver's side seat. (Now I am not one of those people to constantly lock things in their trunk, so don't think this is a common instance, in fact, it may be a first). I asked people as they walked by if they had anything to jimmy open my door, oddly the only people walking by who weren't busy talking on the cell phones were guys. They all stopped, looked at my odd lock (which doesn't pull up but rather pushes out and therefore makes it ten times harder to jimmy, I now feel safe no one will jack my car if I crack the window), and then went to their respective cars or trucks to see if they could find anything that could be of service.Bless their hearts, many tried, all however, eventually had to go their classes (as I waited for I had arrived early with time to spare to study for my test). Each concerned, offered me their number, took mine, and offered to leave their classes and come back if I had not managed to open my car in order to help me. I finally ended up calling Campus Security, who had me fill out paperwork, then after several tries, had to get a different tool to accomodate my car (a wooden stake of sorts, oddly enough), managed to open my driver door. I gladly got my keys, my books, and had about 10 minutes to study before my test started. Also, I was nicely walked to myclass by a guy who waited with me until campus security got there, he was probably 10-20 minutes late for his class because of it. I then had many concerned phone calls from very nice gentlemen to make sure I was ok, as well as to ask me to coffee too.
So that was my morning. I think I did decently on my math test too. - Posted Sep 17, 2007 10:02 pm PT

My Senior year ended. I got a 5 on my AP Calculus test (the highest possible score!), and 4's on both my AP Lit and AP Econ (still pretty good). I was so excited, I got college credit for all of them!
Over the summer I worked at Albertsons. Surprisingly, I really liked my job....most days. However, I have quit my job because of the new school year. Which brings me to my next point...I am in college. yay? I am taking a full load and am massively busy with tons of homework, hence my lack of tv.com visiting. *sigh*
Also Doug visited Hannah and me over the summer. It was a lot of fun. We tried to show him all of the things California life is famous for in the sum of about5 days. For more on that you should read Doug's coming blog on that, as I believe he will be putting up pictures, and believe me it will be far better told by Doug (buffyTVSrox)and his pictures. (The one's in the graveyard are especially great as we had a Buffy moment.)
The heat is horrid the day before yesterday it was 110 degrees Farenheit in the shade. I am fortunate for air conditioning, and have taken an aversion to being outdoors or in sunlight.
Mowgli (our Golden Retriever puppy) is now about five months old. He likes to dig holes in the yard (right in Dad's freshly planted grass seed) and then lay his belly in the cool dirt. He also steals and eats the shoes of everyone in the house, except mine
. I feel so proud. He seems to respect me as an alpha male figure now, maybe because I'm the only one in the house that took him ona walk. That and after he destroyed the house (and my room) Igave him a talk, after that he seems to listen to me as well as like mea lot.Either way, when I took him walkinghe learned to heel pretty fast, he's smart, if mischievious. Also I house sat for a couple I know for about 6 days, I was supposed to watch their cat, but they never showed me whattheir cat looked like. I was just told it had a "O" shape on its side. I took care of the cat with an "O" on its side, the only cat that actuallyhung around the house, for while they were gone, I let it in and fed it and everything. Guess what? It was the wrong cat. It sure like me though. Anyway, they said their cat was sciddish around people it doesn't know and probably avoided the house for the entire week. However, their cat was fine, and looked well-fed (as I had been putting out cat food for some of the neighborhood strays), so they said it looked like I did my job just fine. They now have an affectionate stray that tries to sneak in the house when their back is turned so that it can eat cat food and watch tv. oops. Oh well, I must not have done too bad of a job as they have asked me to house sit again.
Anyway, I will be 18, a full fledged adult, on September 5th, which is tomorrow! Finally, the stupid curfew won't apply to me anymore (not that I paid that much attention to it anyway). Oh yeah, then there's that voting thing, and then there's smoking or joining theArmy, but as I don't think I will either smoke or join the Army (though I greatly respect those in the Armed Services), things in my life are mostly just the same; with just more harsh penalties for breaking the law.
My Birthday party won't be until the 22nd of this month though, as Hannah can't get off work until then. We plan on going ice skating again this year, this time with Hannah, Heather, Adelle, and me. I haven't really gotten past lunch (as far as my plans go), but I'll think of something.
So, that is where my life is now. A lot of homework, friends, and life. Also, Hannah and I are almost ready to watch Season 9 of X-files, therefore finishing watching the entire series. (A first for Hannah, as she's never seen them and I got her into them, a second time for me, though I have seen many episodes far more than once, I haven't watched them all in order for awhile.)
Hope life is going well for all of you guys and please forgive me if I don't write, blog, or comment in awhile.

My AP Calc test is this Wednesday, my AP Lit. is the day after, and my AP Econ is the week after. Funny, I thought my Calc test would be the one I'm stressing about, but I am so confident that I am going to pass. These past two or three weeks I have woken up doing my problems in my head. Or I'll hit the snooze button then start to calculate how much time I'm losing vs. how much time I set my clock forward (so that I'll be on time) and so on. Math problems start to form in my head. It's crazy!
In other news, our family got a new puppy. His name is Mowgli we've had him for a week or two, so I suppose he is nine or ten weeks old now. He is pure-bred Golden Retriever. He's still potty training and learining not to each socks, but he's a good dog. He has a really happy spirit. He also has a fascination with my chinchilla, Pepper, and sneaks into my room to peek at him. Pepper does not seem to have taken a liking to him.
There's always way more to tell about than time to tell it in, so I have to go and work on my homework. This should be fun. Anyway...see ya!

So today I am typing and I look over and hey! I am level 6. That was a surprise as yesterday I only 45% into level 5, I know it doesn't jump until they update it but it was quite a jump. Mostly, the points and level confuse me, I know it is not at just blogs and reviews, but what else jumps it? Does anyone know?
Either way, it's cool and I'm happy. Yay for another level.

Wow, I haven't blogged in forever. Last time I tried to blog the computer I was on froze and I lost the entire thing. It was all so disheartening that I didn't write another. The same thing happened when I tried to blog on myspace. Anyway, that was a long time ago. So....
Let's see. I am a Senior this year, and will be graduating in 11 weeks. Not that I'm counting. I need to find a summer job, sorry random sidebar thought that jumped into my head. Anyway, I will start studying for my 3 AP Tests soon. That should be fun. I am about as active and busy as ever, which y'all know is a lot.
We are entering the beginning stages of a hot summer, so life will get sunburnt and sweaty gross fast. Also, boys tend to think that all the extra heat and all the extra sweat stains covering their shirt make them sexy when really it just smells.
Anyway though, I have to go because I have school tomorrow. Hopefully though I can blog more constantly. I hope to talk to y'all later.

19Sep 06Ughhh....I am so sick. My skin burns and hurts to touch. It sucks to be sick. My eyes burn, and I have a headache, also I'm nauseous.
I have a Calc test tomorrow, but I came home from school and slept for five hours, and I still feel awful. The point being, I was asleep for so long that I didn't have time to do my Calc. It needs done and understood by tomorrow. Grrr....plus I missed the explanation on our mag lev cars for physics. I feel somewhat overwhelmed but that isn't too hard, because when you're sick, things build up fast. Also, I forgot to tell my mom that it was back to school night, and therefore missed all of the extra credit points I would have gotten. AND, I slept through youth group and leadership training that was afterward (which I've been looking forward to for like a month). Grr...I am in pain. I need to go do homework, though that is really the last thing I want to do. Hmph.- Posted Sep 19, 2006 8:39 pm PT

My Birthday party was great! Thank you very much Ash and Hannah for teaching me to ice skate. I mean I could sort of iceskate before, but they actually had me skating and gliding on my own, which is a Yay! of greatness, because I mean how great is that! I've always wanted to be able to iceskate.
However, my ankles are sorely bruised from the iceskating shoes. That and my thighs are sooooo sore.
We ate great Chinese food and then went to the bookstore, which while it may sound geeky, it was a lot of fun. We went to party city and took pictures of us in Halloween costumes. We went to Denny's and ate a chocolate brownie with ice cream and some sort of pie thing with carmel. Han and Ash sang Happy Birthday to me, as they somehow managed to buy birthday candles from Party City without my knowledge and get it onto my brownie. All the time, I was wearing a crazy birthday hat and a balloon attached to my wrist. Then we watched Buffy episodes and ate more Chinese food until it was 1:30 AM.
It was a great party and tons of fun. Thanks guys.

It is about midnight and I have school tomorrow, but I am in the middle of watching the first season of Lost on DVD, and I can't stop! It is sooo addicting. What am I to do.
Meanwhile, I have to say, I greatly appreciate Lost, it is great. Though I believe my homework and studies may be suffering for this, I am having trouble caring in the face of watching Lost.

Blah to the boredoms and continual struggle of AP Calculus. It is rated the hardest class on campus, second only to AP Chemistry. Also, I my AP Lit class is getting massively harder.
Yay, though, I don't remember why...hmmm....good news. Ummm...I am now practicing to see if I can sing in our church choir. My Birthday party is Saturday. I somewhat understand Calculus. Oh! I remembered the yay! Hannah, I finally started making my collection of tree photos. I have been hiking on full moons and taking pictures. The lighting is perfect, my trees rock. I think I may have one that is black from the night but with red behind it from the rising sun. It is awesome.

Most may not understand the full ramifications of that lst paragraph, but for those of you who do, yeah, just soak up the happiness that comes from greatness.

So I figured I ought to spend a small portion of my time chronicling the new evil me.
I woke up and decided that I wanted to have another slice of Birthday cake though already woefully full of cake.
Good me: "No you probably shouldn't"
Evil me: "I don't care, I want it and now. Also look what I can do..(does a handstand and starts doing one armed push-ups).
Me: I don't see how that's really im-"
Good me: "No no, he's got a point there.."
My stomach now hurts worse because I listened to one or both of these shoulder angels.
Good me: Laughs like this, "hahahha," or "hehehee"
Evil me: Laughs like this, "Bwahahahahaha!!!!!"
Both of me's now currently balancing on a yoga ball while typing, why? Because some things in life are so great, that no matter who you are or where you go, you just have to do them. That and it's excercise for my overfull tummy.
