So I haven't been around much....just been dealing with things. Sorry I haven't been visiting your blogs lately but I should be around more now.

Had our 4th annual pumpkin carving party for the kids last weekend. It was a good time and they did a great job...

Now on to some other news. As you know I've been dealing with the lost of my Smokey Joe. But sometimes in sadness there comes happiness. Now I struggled with whether it was too soon or not...but in the end I decided that these furballs needed a home. They were found in the parking lot across from where I work and are only about 6 weeks old...so tiny.

So let me introduce my little munchkins....

Sorry I haven't been around your blogs lately or had the chance to respond to your comments on my last blog. Things here have been kinda of crappy.

As you may recall I mentioned in my last blog my kitty wasn't feeling very good.

Last Friday morning Smokey Joe past away.

I took him to the vet the Friday before and they sent us home with some antibiotics. The vet told me it was just a cold. He told me not to expect that Smokey would start feeling better the following week - that it would be more like the week after. At the time he seemed to be functioning - eating, drinking and going to the bathroom. By Monday I noticed he wasn't really eating anything. I was getting him to drink some so I was worried but thought as long as he was drinking I would let it go for another day or two. By Thursday when he still wasn't looking good. I called the vet to try and get him in for an appt for that day...no luck. The soonest they could get me in was Friday at 2. By the time I got home from work he was looking worse. By Thursday night he could barely walk. He kept tipping over. By about 10 that night he couldn't even stand. He just kept meowing for me to help him and there was nothing I could do to help him. I stayed up until 4 in the morning with him, hoping he would hold on until 8 when the vet opened. Unfortunately at about 5:30 Friday morning Smokey was gone. He was only a year and a couple months....he was just so young. It's hard not knowing what happened....it obviously was not a cold!! How he could be at the vets on Friday and a week later he's gone. I have been very sad and upset and just not feeling like doing much.

So this week's blog is cut short....no fun and games.

But of course we still need last week's Supernatural...Fallen Idol.

On a down note kitty has not been feeling well lately... Took him to the vet on Friday but if kitty doesn't start feeling better soon he will have to go back to the vet!

It's been so long I'm not even sure I remember how to post a blog!!!

It's Labor Day weekend here which means a long weekend!! YIPPIE!!!

But of course that also means the end of summer! I mean I love the fall season but I just hate it when summer is over!

Not really too much to report here! I caught up on a few series this summer...

I have a few more epis of Angel left...which is just in time since the new fall season starts next week!! I'm not sure yet which new shows I'll watch....

Sorry I haven't been around lately and have missed your blogs.

The BF had to have some major surgery and had to spend 9 days in the hospital...fun yay! His surgery lasted 9-1/2 hours!!! The hospital is an hour and half away so I was doing a lot of driving everyday!! He's home now and is going to be fine.

Excerpts from a Cat's Daily Diary...

Day 983 of my captivity.

My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects.

They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets. Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear, I Nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength.

The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape.

In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the carpet.

Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet. I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly demonstrates what I am capable of. However, they merely made condescending comments about what a 'good little hunter' I am. Bastards.

There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event. However, I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard that my confinement was due to the power of 'allergies.' I must learn what this means and how to use it to my advantage.

Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try this again tomorrow -- but at the top of the stairs.

I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches. The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released - and seems to be more than willing to return. He is obviously retarded.

The bird has got to be an informant. I observe him communicating with the guards regularly. I am certain that he reports my every move. My captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he is safe. For now.... ........
