Reviewers, we already know that. Added depth perception is nice and we like having it. Considering that graphics are a major part of most reviews I don't understand why "eye candy" is dismissed as something trivial. I will gladly take eye candy over eye vegetables any day.
I think the 3D effect is pretty cool. People were saying the same types of things about Hi-Definition video. "What's wrong with VHS tapes, the video quality is fine?" they would say..I am glad to see technology advancing, even if it is only for the quality of the visuals in this case. I don't mind rewarding video game companies for innovation.
wasn't 3D lame back in the 1970's lol I agree that reviewers rarely make sense with the words they spout... I really have no intention of getting a 3DS at this time though... so I'll never know first hand... luckily, I now have skylanders to keep my attention lol
I know the feeling. I had the same reaction when Ico was revered for being so pretty because they took an ugly game and slathered frosting on the camera. Not every graphical trick is going to appeal to everyone.
