US released anti-cuba terrorist
Since the Cuban revolution Miami-based US national, with the support of the CIA and FBI, have killed over 4000 Cuban national in terrorist attacks, in the same ammount of time 3183 US nationals have died in terrorist attack on US soil. In 2005 Osvaldo Mitat was charged with illegal possession of weapons and explosives in the United States. He was arrested for this while illegaly smuggling Luis Carriles, who hijacked a Cuban plane in 1976 and killed 73 people, admitted involvement in a 1997 string of bombings on Cuban hotels and was arrested in 2000 in Panama on conspiricy to assisinate Fidel Castro; he was aquitted earlier this year. Mitat was released two days ago on an appeal that went essentially unprosecuted. This all happened while Mumia Abu-Jamal, Leonard Peltier, Josh Wolf and others are being illegaly held as political prisoners by the United States, where is the justice and why won't the United States fight real terrorism?

Australia government trying aboriginal way of life
Prime Minister John Howard, of Australia, announced on June 21 the takeover of 73 Aboriginal communities in Australia’s Northern Territories. 60,000 aboriginal Australians live in these communities, 30% of the people there. By this Austrialia implementing martial law in aboriginal communities to force market exploitation and wage slavery. The Australian government are using the excuse that there is high unemplyment and low education in these communities. This in spite of the fact that the government has completely underfunded these communities, many of which were created as part of the 1970's aparthied policies. All the aforementioned travesty in the wake of the 2006 federal government amendment the 1976 land reform to open the aboriginal-controlled lands to government-controlled 99-year leases for private homes and business. The Australian government is in the wrong and the world media is ignoring this. This has been done in the US and has devestated Native American communities throught the United States, don't let it happen, again.- Posted Aug 5, 2007 11:00 am PT

Xbox 360.......only if you can AFFORD it
this is an excerpt from this threadphragit wrote:As a console alone, I think 360 is probably the best value, but everything around it is extortion or tailored for the rich. I was going to blog about this earlier today, but this presents a better, quicker option.alienhunter187 wrote:I still say the 360 is the best console, puts the PS3 to shame. But the hardware difficulties are problems. And the customer service is utter crap. Guy honestly threatening me saying that if I don't back off, they won't repair my console. Then he said "sometimes things happen and they get lost in transit."
First, why force us to buy crap on the fatx file system, it's proprietary crap that is essentially the same as the basic fat32 system only storing less. Simply allowing the fat32 system to run would allow people to actually afford hard drives or at least release MS should release a system for creating fatx formats on existing fat32 drives.
Two, the games are often designed for large, high definition television without options for anything else, while large, high-definition tv owners are a minority of the xbox 360's players. Aside from the obvious examples [Dead Rising text, etc...] I've noticed that games on the 360 often only allow one pre-fabricated camera setting, case-in-point Top Spin 2. The game puts the pc on the near side of the court as well as the far court, while the camera is static on the near court. This presents the problem of not being able to react; thus killing any realistic or, at times, fun aspects of the games.
Third, there are no firewire ports, but four USB 2.0 ports. I for one greatly prefer Firewire for its greater security and increased speed and don't want to try to buy more new stuff for USB 2.0 and xbox 360. Luckily I got a free 1gb USB mem stick, so this no longer presents a problem, but it could have.
Four, Xbox live is 256k plus, as a student I don't have the money to pay for xbox live, a fast internet connection, netflix and new games every month. Why not offer an alternative via. free, user-based servers for everybody; simple, extortive profit on a monopoly.
Five, you have to pay to distribute games. As a game developer, this is extremely disheartening; I've always been able to get free hosting from the software and games I've created, why not let people host their own games and software at no cost?- Posted Jul 8, 2007 6:08 pm PT
