I hope everyone celebrating today has a good one!!

I am still stuck in my addiction...I apparently forgot about a few games that were coming out and have been playing Dragon Age Origins almost non-stop. Why must all these good games all come out at once?? Kinda makes me wish I were younger with more free time...but then I wouldn't have the money...hmm. I guess I'll just deal with the lack of sleep for a little while.

I am debating on the Black Friday shopping since I have to be at work by 10 so we'll see what happens..I may do the online stuff like I did last year...cyber monday I think it was.

Off to get ready for today's dinner

Hi my name is Janice and I am a game addict..I last used 5 min ago at work...I last purchased last night.

Ok so I am now the owner of Rock Band for the PS3 per request of my sister and her two older kids. Their birhtdays are both next week and they all want to play. Since I had to keep up the tradition of me being the game supplier for them I got it. So later I'll be setting it up since they saw the box and I've been getting harassed at work via text messages about it.

I have one more game I plan on buying this year that comes out in Nov...after that i really gotta pay attention to my budget and hopefully my one job doesn't keep getting pushed back so that I can get some work in before the end of the year. but then i have been busy with the other two so thats a good thing.

I also finally started playing the new Kingdom Hearts game..I'm kinda liking it but the ever changing battle methods are getting tiring...I like the idea of the panels this time around but it is taking time to get used to and I haven't gotten to where I can do anything else with them yet or a store for that matter...I am guessing I am still in the intro since it's been close to 2 hours..that does include some breaks in the total time too..

Demon's Souls has gotten even better now that I have figured things out a little better...not many stupid deaths anymore thankfully.

One last thing...the benefits of taking a class over a short semester means I have my final next week and am done for the semester after that...woohoo

So i am sitting here waiting for the mice to thaw..yeah gotta feed the snakes today..and I got tired of looking up stuff for work so I started messing around on here. I've been playing Demon's Souls when I get the chance..haven't even touched the new Kingdom Hearts game. Haven't really touched most of the games on my now playing list. I found NG Sigma 2 more annoying than Demon's Souls...imagine that.

Anyways....I've been reading the reviews for Demon's Souls and I have to laugh at the variety of reviews. It's a love it or hate it game apparently. I've been loving it...yes it is hard and yes you die and have to start over. When you die you lose the souls which are the game's currency. You do get to keep everything else you pick up. I actually picked a hunter to play the game through not using magic but arrows to take out foes..works pretty good on most things. Beat the first boss which was oddly easier than I thought it was going to be. After that I got to where I could level up which was a great thing. The online play is interesting and so are the messages people leave. It's funny that there are reviews about the hype around this game...i must have missed that. I'm the only one I know personally that knew about the game.

Oh well...it's lots of fun despite the difficulty....and the mice are thawed so I have to get back to work.

Why is it that there seemed to be few and far between games I wanted to get for awhile and then all of a sudden there are a bunch I want that all come out at the same time. So I got my pre-order of Demon's Souls today...and yes I have become one of many bloodstains in the game. I rather enjoy the challenge of it and many of the reasons for my death in the game are from my own stupidity...dodge the wrong way..not watching my back. I can honestly say I have become an Atlus fan-girl. As much as I hate to use that term I really am a huge fan of what they bring here. Now if they would make a Persona or SMT game for the PS3 I would be one happy girl.

The only bad thing is I really don't have much time to play with work and school but I squeeze it in where I can.

Part of me still can't believe I did this but in a way it's a good thing I did. I just got one of the new iPhones. Having 3 jobs and half of the time I am on the phone with various people calling me I have been losing track of numbers and such. With the phone I shouldn't have the problem...that's how I rationalized the purchase. Part of me wishes I got one sooner but now I'll have to be careful with the outdoor job..they showed me how to swap the cards if I want to go back to my more rugged phone.

Gaming news...I got Katamari Forever...addicting. I also have Persona on the way for the PSP. When I'll get to playing that and finishing the others I'll never know since I am back to working 7 days a week with two classes.

Hope everyone is well..I kinda wish there weren't a bunch of games coming out soon I want to play them but know it probably won't fit in my schedule...such is life I suppose.

I was curious to see what happens when you connect gamespot to facebook. So this is more of a test as to see what happens.

That and to say that I was bad today and bought both Soul Calibur Broken Destiny and Batman Arkham Asylum which I will be playing a little later when my room cools down a bit.

So yeah I kinda became a slacker with the updates. It's not my fault I got hooked on the show Heroes...honest...I ended up watching season 1 and 2 over the past week and started season 3 this week. I did go to the Delaware Water Gap for a Leave No Trace training session this past weekend which was lots of fun. I have a few games I need to get...glad I have a PSP that's for sure.. Other than that don't have much else to say at the moment...gonna get back so season 3 of Heroes and hopefully to be done before my semester starts. Hope you guys are all doing well..

So I did something insane and watched the entire special extended edition of The Lord of the Rings. 681 minutes of movie. I don't think I will be doing that again. That was pretty much my entire day. The weirdest thing about it was it made me more tired than I was. I apparently can't sit around for the whole day...I felt kinda crappy when I woke up this morning too. I'll put day 3 up tomorrow..a little more exciting.

Day one of my vacation..woohoo. I honestly have no idea what there is to do on a Sunday afternoon so I am just going to improvise.

I finally got around to playing Fat Princess...better than I was expecting but I am still trying to get the controls down and "play with yourself" is not all that easy unless you can control your group.

Now that it is getting warm in my room I'm going to move downstairs and tackle something that has been screaming my name for awhile now. I have this urge to watch the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. What better time to do it than during a vacation. Going to make for one insanely long day but I won't be sitting on my behind that much after today. There is at least one game I have to get next week so I'll be doing that as well.

Off to start the movies...still trying to figure out what I am doing tomorrow but it's all good

Haven't really been playing games much but I do have those 2 weeks and lots of catching up to do Any suggestions??

I'm another year older and honsetly I haven't gotten anything for my birthday yet...got some shopping to do.

Hope all is well with everyone!

For some reason everytime I play a SMT game I always get near the end and then have to stop playing for awhile. It happened with Nocturne..the holidays came a long and I had to stop playing for over a month. Turns out I was about 15 minutes from the end of the game. I still haven't finished Digital Devil Saga 2 but I'd have to start from the beginning again. I made it to the final dungeon there and had to stop. Now with Devil Summoner 2 I am at the final boss but don't have the time to really finish it. I need to level up some more before I can beat the game. I will get there eventually.

Other news I started playing Class of Heros...takes me back to the good old days of RPGs where you have to role your stats for your characters. I wish there were more of those games...other than the ones on the PC. Can't afford a good gaming PC right now.

I hope everyone is doing well...I'm trying to make the most of a semi-day off...sleep is good right now.

OK...so I was trying to figure out what game I was going to play once classes were over. I almost forgot that I pre-ordered this game:

    my devil summoner 2

So now I know what I am going to be playing...and my limited edition box number is 36399....yay!!

I think my little Rahio is going to become a feature of many pictures to come...I've been trying to figure out something that I have that can go places and have it's picture taken...I think I just found it

Also...I'm apparently crazy enough to take a math over the summer so it's going to be interesting.

Hope everyone is doing well...I've got a game to start...my next course starts this Monday...maybe a few sleepless nights will be ok..

It's about time I level up again!!

I still haven't been gaming much lately...no time with all the jobs. Soon though since the semester is almost over. Not quite sure what the first game I am going to pick up to play is but there are lots of options. I'll just decide when I get there I guess.

    And since I am now a snake eater...here is a snake...yum...

So I was bad and spent my tax return a little early but I got myself a new camera. Yeah I did get one last year but this one allows me to take better nature shots and finally some night shots..woohoo.

I've been so busy I haven't even gotten to play any games...Chrono Trrigger is sitting there in my DS next to my bed..I will finish it eventually.

    Anyways..on to the pictures

    Funky Squirrel

    Gray Squirrel

    American Kestrel

    Eastern Fence Lizard

Well that is all I got for today...gotta close up the building here...then go to the next job

    Hope everyone is doing well

wow..where to start here. A lot has happened since the last post. My grandmother went into the hospital a couple days after the last post. She went from not really talking to calling me over and saying she was going to die. I had to sit with her and call family members so she could say good bye. Probably one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. After all the calls I called for the ambulance to get her to the hospital. First two days she was there it really seemed like the end. On the thrid day she was sitting up and talking. Now she is home and in better shape. She does talk of dancing gypsies and a furnace from her "experience" We are not quite sure what to make of it. I will say I am still trying to recover mentally from all that happened. I didn't sleep for about a week while all that was going on. But such is life.

On the game front...I did really get into Chrono Trigger since I needed something to do on those sleepless nights. My 7 year old niece has also gotten into the game. She is still learning to read but she has been able to figure out a little bit of the workings of the game. She even went so far as to try to take the game home with her since she has her own DS. She even asked if I would get her a copy of the game. Now I know what kind of games she likes. In another year or two I'll be handing over Kingdom Hearts which I'm sure she'll love because of the princesses. The nephew is still a racing game fanatic. The youngest has already tried to grab a DS and watches the Wii games so who knows what will happen with her.

The car thing has been all straightened out...didn't need to put down more money thankfully. Now I just have to get it inspected (fingers crossed it goes well)

I hope everyone is doing well..I'd like to get a hold of RE5 but the $$ is tight so I may have to wait.

Last night I went through the trouble of typing something out here but apparently never posted it...either that or I posted it somewhere else. Oh wait I think I know what happened. I got interrupted before I could post it.

Things have been downright crazy for me. I highly reccomend anyone in the States NOT buy a car unless you really have to or can actually pay for it completely. Right not I am trying to find another $1k to put down on my car so the bank will let me borrow the money. Apparently a $3k down payment wasn't enough. I've been waitting for my next paychecks which I got this past week. I figured for how much I had been working it should be enough. I got about half a paycheck from one of the jobs (I won't repeat what I said after I got it ) I'll still be alright it just means things will be super tight until things balance out. No more new games but I do have a ton I need to finish.

As for my interruption last night. My grandmother is back to not doing very well. I was supposed to work yesterday until 6pm so I would have gotten home somewhere around 7pm. Good thing I didn't have to work (the snow cancelled my job). I'll just say she had a little accident on the way to te bathroom that was quite messy. Nothing like helping someone walk to the bathroom and hearing "oops" right before you get there. She may be going to the hospital today depending on what she decides.

On a better note...the school stuff is going well. It's weird having a class where the person teaching it is younger than you along with the majority of the students. The insturctor keeps claiming he is old and all I can say is I have 5 years on him.

Yesterday and Monday I managed to get through all of the anime Death Note (I've stopped watching TV about a year ago for the most part..might watch a show here or there so I didn't see it when it was on TV). Was interesting although still not sure what I thought about the ending.

I finally got to playng Chrono Trigger so that will keep me busy for awhile. I also have the first Star Ocean on the PSP to play.

Well I hope everyone is doing well I'm going to try to get some more sleep

That is an understatement...to say the least. I'll just put what I have been up to in list form

-I got a new car...the other one was to the point where the repairs needed would cost more than the car itself. I figured it was time

-I'm going to fill out the paperwork for job number 4 tomorrow

-I started a blog well there are two there one nature related..the other is everything else

-I have built two websites one for the ecology club I run at the wildlife refuge and the other is just one for me...I had to test it to see if it would work for the job. I am leaving it up just for the heck of it...it even has it's own forum That also has a blog attached to it lol

    -I created a twitter account

-I beat Persona 4...didn't go for the true ended...I started a second play-through to get to that...awesome game!!

-I got a cheap netbook so I could keep up with all the internet stuff while in-between jobs and school

I think that may be it...I'm going to be starting Chrono Trigger finally for my DS sometime soon. I hope everyone is doing well

Wow...I leveled up...only took me a few months

Well I was going to show you guys pictures of the stuff I got for Christmas but as sad as this is to say I've just been too lazy and now I can't find the extra battery for my camera. Anyway...I did get some cool stuff. I got Transformers Monopoly ( I will share the story about the Ark next time), a keypad for the PS3 controller which is really cool, I finally got back into anime and manga after a long break from it so I got the first 4 Rurouni Kenshin big manga. Each consists of 3 of the standard manga..this is kinda why I wanted to put up pictures. I got Scrabble Me...a new edition of the game where everyone gets their own board and play all at the same time. I got a bottle of Blueberry wine (hasn't been open yet) I also got Darth Tater The rest is gift cards so I still have some shopping to do.

And since I don't want to leave without putting up a picture...this has to be one of the oddest things I have ever seen...

    what the??

Yeah it is a fish...I'm still trying to find out the exact kind.

Last thing....I started work on a website for myself as part of my new year's resolution to actually put the internet to good use. When it is done or done well enough to view I'll put up a link.

On the gaming front..I'm almost done Persona 4...have to say I will probably play it a second time after I finish it. My semester starts next week so I will probably be getting into Crono Trigger finally. Other than that been playing LBP

Hope all is well with everyone.

I was wondering if anyone else has a crazy way to end the old or start the new year. We do a couple things in my family. One was caught on video this year...hopefully I can share it with you guys. This is what we do every year (if you are wondering which one is me...I'm at the end of the video...the last one to do it) ...aside from playing some sort of board game into the early hours. It was Transformers Monopoly this year... I got trampled by my two cousins but it was fun.

    I wish every one a wonderful 2009.

I'll be putting up some holiday pics and what all I got for Christmas soon.

Since I have gotten older this time of year has just been chaotic for me rather than the fun and laid back times they were when I was a kid. Now it is finishing up the semester, wortk, getting gifts for everyone, making sure there are places for all the visiting relatives to sleep, somebody is usually sick for the holidays (right now it seems like it is going to be me), cleaning house, this list goes on and on. The anniversary of my grandfather's death is this week so everyone is very mellow and reflective in the house. Remembering the good times is what the holidays are about anyway. My uncle who just passed away...his family spends the holidays with us so it will be another reflective holiday.

Starting on Saturday the flood of relatives will start to come in. Speaking of relatives..let me introduce you to Carolyn Barbara

    Baby Carolyn

That is my sister and her family...Carolyn is my new niece born December 3rd. The other two are the troublemaker nephew and niece that I talk about. My nephew asks me for every game that is related to cars, mario, sonic, and wii related. My niece is all about sim games. I wonder what I can get Carolyn into when she gets a little older. I joked with my niece and nephew about their sister playing games and they said she would have to wait until she was 5 since that's how old they were. I had to laugh since my niece started playing at 2..she got to play my original Playstation.

Anyway...enough about the family stuff. I am going to be in game overload this holiday too. I showed you what all I ordered Black Friday...the majority of it has arrived. Just waiting on Persona 4...it has shipped so I should get it soon. The only bad thing with the relatives is I may have to put off playing/finishing games on my PS3 since it will be getting used by the younger relatives. I had to stop playing SMT: Nocturne right before the end since everyone else wanted to use my PS2 or the TV I had it hooked up to. That's where the DS and PSP come in...Chrono Trigger and Star Ocean should keep me busy. I still have the newest Castlevania to finish too. I guess I should be happy that work is slow this time of year. Although I have determined that I have not had one full weekend off this year...how crazy is that.

Well I have to get back to cleaning my room...it'll be cleaner than it has been in years...all the dust I turned up has made me sick but I need to finish. I'll put up some pics when it is officially done.
