"Big Brother 8" is taking over my life.
I'm not a big fan of reality shows. The only ones I can stand are "Big Brother", "The Amazing Race" and any type of Real World/Road Rules tv show (including the competition ones). But "Big Brother" tops them all. The eighth season recently began on CBS this past Thursday and this is my first time buying the feeds (well, I bought them for season 4 but was young and naive and didn't realize a 56K modem would slow down EVERYTHING!) But I can actually see stuff now just like it's on TV and I am ADDICTED! They show way more than they do on TV and you get to actually see their personalities and not the way CBS wants you to see them.
So...as far as the summer goes.. BB takes the cake and it will have me reeled in until mid-September.
Nothing else is really going on with TV. I was looking forward to the final 2 episodes of Tim Minear's "Drive" but apparently FOX is doing even more of a disservice by not only cancelling the show after a mere 3 episodes or so, but not even airing the final 2 ones!! I HATE THAT NETWORK! Not even the fantatastic "Family Guy" will make me watch it. I'll wait for the DVDs.

Currently in TV Land
So what's been going on in the TV scope lately?
Everybody seems to hate the "Grey's Anatomy" 3-parter that recently aired. I absolutely loved it. One of the main complaints was how it descended into cheesiness with Meredith's miracle of coming back to life. Whether or not miracles DO happen is not for us to decide? How can we prove or disprove that it could actually happen?
"Heroes" what can I say? It's a FANTASTIC show! A sort of "Lost" meets "Buffy", but where Lost started to piss off fans with NO ANSWERS and boring plots, this show trascends that; gives us answers and FANTASTIC plot points! I love this frickin' show.
Oh, "Veronica Mars", how I miss ye. The show has gone on hiatus for the next 8 weeks. This once great show is now just 'good'. I have a feeling the bigwigs at the CW corporation is behind this. They turned this originally densely and wonderfully crafted show into somewhat of a soap opera. The show is still good and better than 80 percent of other television. Give it a chance!
That is all...for now!

Here I am
My name is Robert.
I'm 16 and I'm absolutely obsessed with TV. My favorite TV show of ALL TIME is without a doubt "Buffy the Vampire Slayer". I'm completely obsessed with it. I prefer supernatural shows that are rooted in realism like "Buffy", "Angel", "Heroes". They have scenarios that probably couldn't happen but the characters are more realistic than anything you would find on crappy shows like "The O.C." or even "American Idol" and sadly those people are actually real.
