  Life on the streets

  I honestly believe that police officers enjoy writting people up. Perhaps they have to meet a certain quota, so they set up random stops just to do so. I mean, I got a citation today just because my nephew had slipped out of his shoulder straps to his car-seat. Why is that a need for a citation?? The dumb-ass cop had the nerve to tell me that neither of my nephews (I had the two oldest with me) were strapped in. I had to turn around and point out to him that they were indeed buckled up (I mean, come on. I'd buckled them myself). So he pulls out the bs about the shoulder straps (It's not like I can stop in the middle of driving and make sure his arms are through the straps--what kind of fool would I be--I guess I'd be like the guy who changes his pants while driving down the highway).
