    Hi there, here I am.

After almost a year of absence, I'm back, for good this time. or so I hope.

I had an eventful year: My film won the 1st prize at the Docaviv int' DFF (Student competition), had a new job in the film industry, began working on my next feature film and also started writing my first book.

so as you can see, I ws too busy - too busy for doing what I like best: Watching TV.

So now, I'm doing a crazy marathon, whatching all my favorite shows at once, trying to catch up before the begining of the fall season. Crzay, Huh?

ER, Desperate Housewives, 24, Lost Heroes, Smallville, Entourage, Brothers & Sisters, Dexter, 4400, The Office, The Shield, New adventures of old Christine.

I'm must say that I'm overwhelmed.

I'll do my best and try reading all my frineds' blogs, and maybe even contribute here and there.

    But only time will tell...

    Missed being here.

    Nadav.

Today, totally board, while zapping endlessly I accidentally made a stop on the Hallmark channel, which this show is being aired on and watched it for the first time ever.

MY GOD it was a total nightmare !!

How the HELL this hideous excuse for family drama was able to stay on screen for 11 years !?

It brings the term of bad television to new levels and depths, and I don't believe that the WB preferred it over Angel or any other show that was cancelled before its time !

I here by announce my protest !!

I had to leave the kibbutz, due to the ongoing war in Israel

Since the entire area is being under constant attack, the fruit-picking was stopped, and many of us had to be dismissed...

It definitely ruined all my plans, and I can't even go back home to be with my parents, because it is not safe there (Haifa), and I'm temporarily staying with a friend in Tel Aviv.

I wish it will all be over soon, and that we can go on with our lives !

All the injuries, and dead, it seems so damn unnecessary !!

All I wanted was to save some money for my trip, and because of the events, it probably won't happen any time soon

That's it folks, I'm outta here until October.

Went up north to work at the fields and enjoy the fresh air of the kibbutz for 3 months.

by the time I'll be back, TV fall season will present itself, and I'll be able to enjoy the fruits of my labor

Have a Charmed summer, Don't get Lost or Desperate, and stay away from the local ER (if, god forbid, you have no choice - try only the one in Chicago ).

I promise to bring back at least 4400 mangoes for my great TV.com Entourage.

    Miss you already,

    Nadav

My cousin is getting married today.

She's 30 years old, and it's gonna be the event of the year in our family, because her fox are really rich, and getting married is something she dreamt of doing for as long as I remember her.

We are really close, she's like the older sister I never had, and I'm really excited for her. but. putting all that aside for a moment, I really dread this event for one big reason -

    I'n next in line....

I'm going to be 28 on the 28th of august. beside me there are 4 more cousins (younger than me, my brother is one of them ) that are not married yet. So, I'm next in line to get married, and now everyone will be expecting me to settle down...

After all, like all my aunts say: "I'm almost 28, and that is only natural"

The problem is, that I don't believe in the institute of marriage (since every other couple in Israel is getting a divorce ), not to mention the fact that I still feel like a child, and the idea of commitment to one person for the rest of my life is terrifying

You guys don't know what it's like being Jewish and being born into a family with an "Yiddish" state of mind

It's like constantly being under the steamroller !! Arrrrgh....

How can you explain to all of them, that I don't want to say goodbye to my life as a bachelor yet ?

A week before my farewell, I've finally reached a new level !

Besides that, it's a regular & boring day for me. Yesterday I left my apartment in Tel-Aviv, and I'm staying at a friend's house for a day or two, before moving up north. I'm starting the new job at th 15th, and until then, I have nothing to do besides working on my short film and finish it's final stages of editing.

Because my editor is a Fifa World Cup fan, we are on a break until the 9th (!!)

It's very annoying not to be a football fan during the FWC, because everyone around you are turned into fanatic fools, and think eat and drink football.

Why don't we, TV fans, don't have any TV-World-Cup-or-something-like-it as well, something that will keep us glued to the screen for a month of excitement?

oohhh.... maybe because we don't need an excuse to watch more TV?

I still think it would be nice to have an international event that will bring us all together and make us proud of our not so glamorous and not so sportive addiction.

I don't know how many of you remember "The Choice (a.k.a The Vendetta)": Dynasty's 6th season final with the amazing cliff hanger -

The enraged Blake going up the stairs, swearing he'd kill Alexis, and than chokes her while his helpless & loving Krystle is being held by Ben, unable to stop the tragedy...

Let me tell you an amusing story about that specific unforgettable TV moment -

Back in the 80's when Dynasty was aired in Israel, we had only one public channel: no cables, satellite or commercial TV (Lame, I know...).

The CEO of the Israeli Broadcast Authority had the audacity to cancel the broadcast of the series after this episode was aired, claiming that Dynasty was a of poor quality and it is unfit for Israeli television.

That decision created a media turmoil, with headlines in all the major newspapers, demonstrations against it, and even petitions to the supreme court, saying it's an undemocratic act. The entire Israeli nation was on edge, and all thanks to the Carringtons.

Due to the public pressure, after a month or so the decision was reversed, and the Israeli audience got his fix of the most watchable show on TV.

The day & Alexis were saved.

That incident was one of the major factors that led to new legislation, to the establishment of the first commercial channel, and to a new era of television in Israel.

And yours truly, being a child fascinated with that scene, with an  ever-growing addiction to TV and cliff hangers in particular, didn't really care about legislation back then.

All I wanted was to see what will happen to my favorite Alexis...

This blog is dedicated to the legendary Aaron Spelling the man who changed the face of television.

The one in charge of the success of both ABC & FOX.

The one who introduced Charlie's Angels, Alexis, Amanda Woodward & Brenda Walsh/Prue Halliwell to the world.

The television industry lost yesterday one of it's old gods...

    May he rest in peace

    It's 3:30 and I can't sleep...

My room is a mess, boxes all over the place, all of my stuff is out on the bed in piles.

I need to start packing because next week I'm moving up north near Lake Kineret, to work at the mango fields.

    Sounds exotic?

I promise you it is not. I doing that only to save money for my way-over-due trip to Australia, hoping to get some fresh air in the process, moving away from the big city.

My room is a mess, boxes all over the place, all of my stuff is out on bed in piles.

I don't know where to begin, and I'm not sure I even want to.

I've been dreaming about this trip for 4 years, and now that I'm getting close to fulfilling it, I find it hard to leave my apartment, leave my family and friends.

So, I'm staring at the computer, listening to my "moody music" folder. "How soon is now" (the original Smith's version, of course), "Ill Wind" by Ella & Louis, "Angelitos Negros" by Eartha Kitt.

It's going to be a white night....

    Wowwwww....

Apparently, I got myself a fresh new addiction, and it's getting worse every day....

I find myself spending more and more time in front of the F***ing computer, staring at my percentage of my level meter, wishing for the nest emblems. How pathetic is that !?

Please, this is a series cry for help !

Am I the only one? Arrrrrrrrrrgggghhhhhhh.......

Yesterday, while hanging out with a couple of friends, we got board and found ourselves staring at the TV, zapping non-stop.

Suddenly, I saw that on one of the channels there was the episode of Charmed -  "Kill Billie Vol. 2".

I was very excited and convinced my friends to watch the final scene with me and explained that there about to watch an amazing cliff hanger and special effects.

My friends (who hate charmed) agreed to my request and we watched it together.

Maybe it happened because it has been the 100th time that I watched the scene, or maybe because they kept laughing about it and saying it was the lamest scene they have ever seen, but I found myself agreeing with them.

It suddenly looked very cheesy and the special effects looked like taken from a low-budget B movie. the scene with Damien, the Triad and Billie was so bad, and the acting was absurd.

The one thing that saved the day, and me from being totally embarrassed with my self for loving the show, was Holly Marie's acting, which they approved.

So now i'm really confused, because my enjoyment from the show stopped being great, and for the first time I became aware of the how much the show lost it's quality during the years, especially on the 8th season.

I still can't believe that 8 years have passed, and that i had stayed a loyal viewer the entire series, through the good times, and especially through the bad ones...

Now, almost 28 years old, the only series that has started in the 90's, still running, and still considered to be my in my top favorites is ER.

I'm a bit nostalgic right now, but I don't believe that there will be another series that will make me become so devoted to it. I still considered myself as a TV addict, but it is a different kind of viewing, more mature perhaps, less naive.

And it is also a new generation of TV making, very much different from the 80's & 90's decades that i grew in. those of you that are in my age, probably know what I mean.

and that is the reason, that I've been in a melancholic state of mind this past week.

    Farewell Charmed....

    It's been a pleasure...

Do you remember the first spell ? :-)

    Only 3% to go !!.

That is very exciting, because i'm new here, and it happened really fast.

I guess it's better that it happens sooner than later, because i'm a bit embarrassed to be known as a "thigh master"

I'm looking forward for discovering the next emblems...
