Not a gaming post still, but my favourite (gif) girl is back

In truth, she just spun 1 1/4 times. Not even 2 whole revolutions. Girl, why are you so lame?

And in gaming news, lol there is no gaming news cos I haven't been playing anything AT ALL. But I'm planning on investing in a crap-ton of hours gaming this week because I'm tired of being lazy. Look forward to my next blog post to see if I kept to my words.

I'm warning you first, this post is about game novels

Wow ok I typed a whole bunch of paragraphs talking about BOOKS, but I don't think it would actually make for an interesting read, so I deleted them. The gist of it was that I'm in my reading phase yet again, and I'm now trying to explore the Warhammer 40k universe. Like I can't get any more nerdy than this...

These are the books that I currently have in my possession, with the exception of Eisenhorn, which is being ordered online from bookdepository.com. The Horus Heresy series serves as a backgrounder for me regarding the (fall of?) Imperium of Man and its structure, and the first 3 books are part of a trilogy that sets up the whole shebang. All Warhammer 40k novel readers swear by Dan Abnett being the best Black Library author, and I can see why. He writes atmosphere well, made the seemingly superhuman Space Marines surprisingly human, plants seeds of foreshadowing throughout the first book, and it was all a great set-up for the rest of the trilogy. Depending on how well the trilogy ends, I might continue the Horus Heresy series considering that there are 25 frickin' volumes in total. That's crazy. It apparently doesn't follow a specific order though, so I can afford to miss a volume here and there. I'm still on the 2nd book though, so I'm not gonna jump any gun just yet.

Aside from being recommended the Horus Heresy series to start off with, Eisenhorn and Gaunt's Ghost (The Founding omnibus) were almost always mentioned in forums. And I wasn't surprised to find that they were written by Dan Abnett as well. That dude is truly being worshipped by fans, I'm telling you.

Books. They excite me. But reading game novels are so beyond nerdy, I can't even feel ashamed anymore. Aside from this fledgling interest in Warhammer 40k, I also own the whole collection of Resident Evil novels (including movie tie-ins), the 2 Guild Wars novels currently out, a bunch of Japanse-to-English books of random games like Brave Story and Parasite Eve, and a complete eBook collection of Diablo and Starcraft. Nope, can't shake my head at how obsessed I am with the genre. They're so shallow, but so, so entertaining.

EDIT: I'm surprised there is no tag for "books". Why?

Is there really nothing else to talk about...?

Holy baaaaaaaaaaallllllllllssssssssssssssss everyone's talking about the new Xbox on my blog feed like frickin' sheeps.

Please just go away. Sorry, but I'd rather read about something else. Like your booger collection, or your unhealthy obsession with cheese, or whatever. Frickin' whatever. Have a Jessica gif because she never disappoints me.
