My Friends

30Oct 08

Before I do my top 10 best later on as I need to see more good horror movies, it's time for me to list these 10 sucky horror movies so I can recommend that you avoid them at all cost(IMO). It was hard sitting through them as time goes by, and guess how many bad horror movies I've seen? Over 30, no lie, my time was wasted with them, but at least I can bash them in the end. Here goes nothing:

10. The Blair Witch Project

The Good: 1st Horror Movie to been filmed from a camera in a 1st person view so it feels like your in the movie, can be scary if your scared too easily

The Bad: Slow pacing, annoying and stupid characters, felt more like a documentary than a horror movie, no sense of direction

The Conclusion: I find this movie to be very overrated(IMO). Some call it the scariest movie of all time, nothing beside the 1st person view of the camera was appealing to me. All we see is 3 uninteresting characters wander into the woods for over an hour not doing much until something happens to one of them, and by an hour I simply couldn't care for them. One idiot threw away the map and they ended up getting lost, which made the movie even worse, and The Blair Witch is left to our imagination. Problem is, there are people that would actually want to see it. I never saw the 2nd one, but I heard that was rubbish too.

9. Alien v.s. Predator

The Good: Special effects, both Aliens and Predators look great

The Bad: Oh boy, bad acting, bad dialog, pointless scenes, it's directed by Paul Anderson, the acid spit from the alien looked bad, it's PG-13, laughably bad action scene between an Alien and a Predator, some dumb death scenes, Predator helping the humans later on(the way it happened shouldn't had been that way), lame plot, poor pacing

The Conclusion: I love Alien, Aliens, and Predator. And Alien 3, Alien: Resurrection and Predator 2 were mediocre. But this movie is a pile of crap that made me so mad. After all, this guy directed Resident Evil(Mortal Kombat was fair), there isn't much to say about this movie.

Here's a fact: This movie was supposed to be based on the awesome 1994 Alien v.s. Predator arcade game, and I seriously wish it was, it's a beat em up with actual depth in the combat and should come to Xbox Live Arcade.

Anyways, people, this movie, come on, The Bad explains all of it. I almost cried after seeing it. Yeah, it's sequel Aliens v.s. Predator: Requiem is considered to be worse by many(I've seen it and it's bad), but this is just as bad as well. And AVP3 comes out in 2010, NOOOOO!!! Play the arcade, Jaguar and PC AVP games, don't watch this.

8. Hostel Part II

The Good: Blood, gore and nudity, wait, what, there's not much else. And some of the college girls are hot(oh yeah baby).

The Bad: THERE WASN"T A PLOT, AT ALL!!! This is not a horror movie, it's a torture movie, it's worse than the 1st Hostel(I saw that too) and SAW II-V, combined. The plot will have you asking questions of why are people being tortured and more. Lame attempt at humor, bad music, a kid gets shot in the head, careless characters(even if some of them are hot). Uneven pacing. Way too predictable.

The Conclusion: This movie tortured me, I think they should stop with these torture movies since they're not horror movies at all, this movie had no suspense or tension, something that every horror movie needs. All you did is see people die in gruesome ways without a story that makes any sense. The weirdest one is seeing a women cutting off a guys genitals and feeding it to the dogs, that's just wrong. There's going to be a Hostel Part III in 2010, but it's DVD only, shouldn't be made though.

7. Black Christmas(Remake)

The Good: Eye candy cast(about the women of course)

The Bad: Dumb characters, bad dialog, pitiful death scenes like a woman being killed by a non-sharp Popsicle that went through her head, give me a break, too predictable, poor acting

The Conclusion: Horror remakes are usually bad, and this is no exception. Now, I never saw the original, but I heard it was good. This, however, is not good IMO. If you got this for Christmas, it'll probably be your worst present ever.

6. The Butcher

The Good: Lesbian action, that one blonde, oh man, you guys are probably tired about me talking about girls that way(hey, I like them after all).

The Bad: Not much of a plot, terrible acting, death scenes that didn't make much sense at all, no main character was intelligent and I didn't like them, some really bad quotes, badly done gore. Boring at times.

The Conclusion: Low budget horror movies can be good, this is not of them however. No character had a brain in this movie, mostly all of them died in stupid ways and did stupid things(like go into someone's mansion without permission). And get this: When one of the lesbians got her body ripped off, the other lesbian tried to put her back together and make out with her. Wait, she's making out with her dead lesbian friend, that's hot, creepy and stupid at the same time. That scene was worth watching(not really), but this movie isn't worth it.

Now we move to the Uwe Boll section(5.-2.)

5. BloodRayne

The Good: I'll get back to that...

The Bad: This movie was raped by him, and speaking of rape, there's a rape scene in it...

The Good: Rape scene(ok, not really)

The Bad: The blood looked like maple syrup(no joke), pacing is way off, bland action scenes, where's the script, horrible acting, Uwe Boll took the plot from the 2nd BR game and put it in a different time period in the 1800s, not fun to watch. Rushed ending.

The Conclusion: How could you do this to her, I wish she'll suck on you you evil, evil man.

4. Alone in the Dark

The Good: NONE!!!

The Bad: EVERYTHING!!! You name it, plot, acting, dialog, characters, special effects, bad, it's all bad.

The Conclusion: Uwe Boll, you did it again, people, there really isn't much to say. And there's a sequel in 2009, crap.

3. House of the Dead

The Good: NONE, AGAIN!!!

The Bad: Pointless nudity, LAUGHABLE acting, plot and pretty much everything else, SEGA had their logo in the movie(grrr), random clips of the HOTD arcade game for no reason at all.

The Conclusion: Please, stop torturing me, make it stop.

2. BloodRayne 2 Deliverance

The Good: Never made it to theaters...

The Bad: It was still made on DVD, it's more of a Western than a horror movie, NO GORE, WTF, this movie could had been done in 30 minutes, not 90, it's a pointless sequel, bad dialog like "Life is like a penis it's worse than the 1st BloodRayne movie.

The Conclusion: Play the 2 BloodRayne games, pretend these movies exist. There's a 3rd BloodRayne movie in 2009, crap, again.

1. Zombie Nation

The Good: Hopefully no one forces you to watch it

The Bad: It's time to tear this one apart: If you watch this movie, you might as well watch a Uwe Boll movie, Uwe Boll movies are better than this. This movie flat out lies to you. There's only like 5-6 zombies, not a nation of them, and the zombies don't look like zombies at all, here's a picture of some zombies, try not to laugh:

Um, zombies are supposed to look scary and undead, this is not scary at all. This has got to be the most boring and repetitive movie I've seen, ever. Here's how this movie goes:

Evil cop pulls over woman who went over the speed limit, takes her to the warehouse, kills her, hides the body, pointless scene that has nothing to do with the movie shows up, and repeat that like 5 more times until stereotypical black voodoo ladies revived the women from the dead, turn them into "zombies", kill 3 people, the 3rd one being the main evil cop, the zombies ended up being cops and the evil cop they killed isn't dead after all. There, that's the movie. While having no suspense or tension, or anything good for that matter.

The Conclusion: Nothing in this movie is done right, you'll wonder why you wasted your time with it. This movie is meant to add nothing to your life, there are better things to do, like read a book, play video games, do sports, anything but this trainwreck of a movie. To me, this is the worst horror movie of all time(IMO), thanks for reading this.

I agree that Blair Witch was like watching someone's bad camping home movies. The thing was originally, people thought they were seeing something real and then we learned that it had been staged. Still it only cost $10,000 to make so they made a profit either way. Of course Uwe Boll movies suck big time. Someone needs to stop this man.

I've seen a majority of those films. The ones I liked were Hostel 2, Bloodrayne was o.k but the second one was atrocious, House of the dead was good, Alone in the dark was horrible, AvP sucked(so did the second). All of the movies are categorized as horror. AvP is sci-fi/horror. I agree that bloodrayne 2 had bad everything. The worst is when the mother finds out that one of her kids died. The child tells her and she just goes "I know." There was no emotion put into it.

Those are some really bad movies. I, in my opinion, thought Black Christmas was the worst of them all!

I actually liked The Blair Witch Project. I've only seen a few you mentioned like Alien Vs. Predator which was lame, and Alone in Dark sucked at the maximum level.
