Well, here goes nothing, this is actually what I got:

As a Street Fighter fan, I must play this game, I would be ashamed to call myself one if I didn't, LOL.

This game keeps get sold out for some reason, luckily I managed to get one at Best Buy.

Metroid Prime is one of my all time favorite games, so I had to pick this up to end the trilogy, should be great.

After hearing that this game is better than Mass Effect(another Biowae game I have), I had no choice but to play it to see what's the hype about.

My hands is getting full already, LOL.

Also, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all of you on Gamespot.

Before I reveal to you the games I got, I just want to list certain types of games I got:

    1 Fighter

    1 Platformer

    1 First person action adventure

    1 WRPG

I will post pics tomorrow though, and celebrate the day too. Wow, that's a good amount of variety, no 2 games are the same, and no shooters, because I need a break from them. All games are from current gen too, no last gen games.

    My thoughts on the Wii

Personally, I don't think it's as good as Nintendo's previous systems, but this gen is far from over so it could surpass some of them. While friend codes and the online is nothing to brag about, along with missing multiplats from the HD systems, heck, I only have one multiplat on it, it has a great amount of exclusives I've enjoyed and the variety is great for it. It also has the Virtual Console to let you download and play old games from the past, huge plus since I still play old games too. Wiiware isn't as good as XBLA or PSN, but it has some great games on there like the Lost Winds games and World of Goo for example. The Wii is decent but my least played of the 3.

    My thoughts on the PS3

This system has come a LONG way. I mean, in 2006 and 2007, to me it wasn't worth it with few good exclusives and many inferior multiplats, but 2008 changed all that and now 2009 has proved that the PS3 is worth owning for this gen. Nearly every game I played on the PS3 is an exclusive, and I liked most of them. The online is good too, though it's still no Xbox Live. So far it's a pretty great console now.

    My thoughts on the 360

If you can get the RROD(which I had 2) and some questionable priced accessories, the 360 is one of the best this gen. It has a huge library of games that actually surpass the other systems in games rated 7.0+, but then again, it came out earlier. Xbox Live is even better than last gen, thanks to new features added to the service, and the steady number of XBLA games keeps coming with quality. A lot more higher rated exclusives and some more variety would help, but the 360 is my 1st and most played system this gen.

But 2010 looks to be a great year for all 3 systems, more about 2010 next year of course.

I'm not doing one for PC because it's already better than the other systems, LOL.

Be sure to check tommorrow's blog for the games I got too.

    So much Snow

A few days ago, there were like 5-10 inches of snow. Luckily we manage to shovel a lot of snow out of the way in like 2 days. Though it's still annoying, LOL. We can now manage to get out of the drive through.

    Mega Man 10

It was announced for Wiiware, PSN and XBLA and seems to be going the Mega Man 9 route, which is a good thing since Mega Man 9 was great despite it's flaws. You can find a vid of the game in action here.

What's the deal with Zelda fans?

No, I'm not referring to all of them, just a certain amount of them. I'm going to bring up 2 great games: Wind Waker and Twilight Princess. Now, what's wrong with them? I'll explain:

Wind Waker: When the game was 1st shown, the game was already bashed for it's graphics, mainly the art direction. I mean, really, I think it's one of the best looking Gamecube games, and it shows when Gamespot gave the graphics a 10, the cel shading was well done for the most part. Still, a lot of people liked the graphics. I'm not saying you can't have an opinion on the graphics, but there certainly isn't a lot of things wrong with it to be bad, look at this:

As for Twilight Princess, well, people complained like it plays like OOT. You would think that's a good thing, it can be, and it is to some people, but to others, they got deja vu from it. In short, they wanted a different kind of Zelda game, or one that adds many new things in the franchise.

As you can see, when Zelda tries something new, it gets bashed, and when it tries something familiar, it gets bashed. I fear that the new Zelda Wii may suffer the same fate. People will anticipate it, but whatever happens, something will happen with the fans. It will be a great game, but any changes to art direction or gameplay will receive feedback. I don't have problems with people bashing the games, I just don't like how they bash for things that don't make the games bad. We all can't wait for Zelda Wii, but hopefully more people will love it despite what it goes through, after all, Zelda is one of the best game franchises ever.

Top 5 Games of the Decade(2000-2009)

I'm kind of lazy at doing this, I went from 10 to 5 and I already know you wouldn't agree with my list(definitely not champ), but what the hey, I'll do 5, I'm seriously lazy, LOL. I use one game from each system though.

    5. Perfect Dark

    4. Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic

    3. Metroid Prime

    2. Uncharted 2

    1. Super Mario Galaxy

I listed games that I gave 10s to, KOTOR may not deserve it due to it's technical problems, it's still around 9.0-9.5 for me. Sadly I couldn't list PS2 games despite having Gran Turismo 3, God of War, etc., but it's ok, it's a lazy list anyways.

    Games to get for Christmas

Every year I get a Wii game, and 2009 should be no different, in 2007, I got Super Mario Galaxy, in 2008, I got Twilight Princess, I wonder what I will get in 2009 in a few days. I might get a PS3 and/or 360 game as well, but I know I'm getting a PC game. Can't wait until the 25th. And to end the blog, now with comes IGN, or I should say, IGNorance.

    IGN hates the Wii

One of the funnier or should I say cruelest articles I read from IGN isn't good if you like the Wii. They may be joking, but seeing the other articles of the Wii and how they rate games, they could be for real. A lot of them don't make sense, what are your thoughts on this?

-Wii sucks because PS3/360 have achievements.
-Achievements are an innovation as big as motion controls. Achievements are a better innovation than motion controls.
-When you play Wii games, you do not feel any accomplishment.
-Mad World is awesome, it would have sold if it had achievements and social networking.
-Wants the Miis to copy Avatars in having clothes.
-Mentions Wii Sports Resort and other games by saying it has achievements in it. But says it doesn't matter because the achievements do not go 'beyond the game'.
-Mention people in the comments defending Nintendo. "Nintendo fanboys have brainwashed themselves." IGN staff then mocks Nintendo fans by pretending to be brainwashed: "I don't want achievements!" "I don't want HD!" "I don't want to just sit on the couch and just play!" "I don't want to get up and wave my arms!"
-Quote: "Turning on my Wii is a very lonely experience" because Wii doesn't have some Xbox Live system.
-"I don't know anyone in the Bay area who doesn't live with a room-mate." (Not sure I want to interpret that&hellip
-Podcast then switches to talking about Cassamassina's "Nintendo is lazy" column.
-Talks about how Gamecube Nintendo used to push big huge games with cutting edge graphics.
-Says Nintendo stopped doing this because they couldn't compete. (No mention of Blue Ocean Strategy.)
-"Wii has been phenomenally successful, but it is the first Nintendo console I do not want to play." "A great example of this would be the new Super Mario Brothers for the Wii."
-Mario 5 doesn't set the world on fire in how it uses the Wii. It is just "Here's the game!"
-Call Mario 5 a DS port. "Nintendo just took everything that worked on the DS and just put it on the Wii."
-"That is how Nintendo has been so financially successful."
-Says there was no money put into Mario 5. No money for Research and Development.
-Wii is a Gamecube with a new peripheral.
-Nintendo has given up the battle of the epic games to Microsoft and Sony. "Absolutely," replies another.
-Nintendo doesn't care to enter the battle of Microsoft and Sony. "And I think it is hurting them in the long run."
-Nintendo needs to go after the hardcore. One person says their mom has a Wii and hasn't bought a game for it.
-One person used his Mom's Wii, puts in the new Mario game, declares the Wii controllers are all dead, then updates the Wii's firmware. Then says he updates the firmware yet again.
-Craig Harris: Mario Galaxy is epic because of its story (as well as its texture mapping and cutscenes). However, Galaxy isn't as good as games on the HD Twins because games on the HD Twins have more epic stories.
-Craig Harris isn't happy how people accept what Nintendo is doing by not putting epic stories into their games. "Link doesn't talk!"
-Craig Harris after demanding that Nintendo games have voice acting: "I really want to play games like Uncharted 2 on the Wii."
-"Assassin's Creed 2 feels like a Mature Zelda game."
-Craig Harris: "I know video games are in the money making business. But companies like Microsoft and Sony are doing certain things and if Nintendo is going to sit back and relax…"
-"They're betting that the casual market will be there forever."
-Nintendo is doomed because Wii is going to become like the N64. Sony is going to sneak up through them.
-"Wii totally reminds me of how it is used in casual households is like the crappy systems you see in Walgreens when you are checking out. Plug and play guitars!" "It's like a little gimmick when you want to do something with it."
    -Keeps attacking the "casual audience".
-Likens the "casual players" to what caused the Atari crash in 1983 (not joking, they said it).
-Says Nintendo is where it is at the end of the latter SNES days where Nintendo is sitting comfortably and getting ready to make the N64. Says Nintendo will fall once Sony Wand and Microsoft Natal get released.
-Mentions an email where it asks Cassamassina, "Why don't you go after Nintendo for being lazy with Mario Galaxy? It is, after all, tons of recycled content with purple coins and all." They say this doesn't count since "all games have that."
    -Start bashing Phantom Hourglass.
-Says Wii is best when emulating the PC. "like games as World of Goo."
-Says if you are a new consumer looking for motion control, you will be wowed by Natal and Wand.
-Say they like Wand because they actually hold it.
-Others say they are skeptical of both Natal and Wand since they are copying what Nintendo is doing.
-Another email says NSMB Wii is being knocked more than it should. Is annoyed people are bashing the side scroller. They disagree with the email and says Nintendo didn't do anything with Mario 5 except putting out a red box.
-In a Japanese magazine, Miyamoto says he wanted the gameplay to be the same for all four characters in Mario 5.
-Reads an email who says that Mario 5 was scored too high by IGN and should be below an 8.
-Says Gamecube was a hardcore system (I thought it was a kiddy system?)
-Starts bashing Animal Crossing Wii and Wii Music.
-"What is the point of complaining?" says an email. "Because we got tons of comments and tons of traffic," answers Harris. This is perhaps why this podcast is so intentionally bad.
-Bashes the Quarter 1 release schedule from Nintendo.
-Talk about their favorite Wii games. Mention Mario Kart Wii and Boom Blox.
-Doesn't know why Excitebots isn't selling.
-Harris admits he thinks Mario 5 is one of the top games for the system (odd for bashing it so much earlier in this podcast)
-One email asks if Blaster Master sells well on VC, will it get a sequel? (Doesn't appear they answer this.)
-Says no one will try a VC game they haven't played.
-Email complains about how Daemon's WiiWare reviews all complain about leaderboards not being online.
-Tells developers, who might be listening, that it is 2010 that they should only put arcade games with online leaderboards.
-Email asks if Project Hammer being resurrected with Motion Plus. No answer, just hyena sounds as they laugh at their own jokes you can't make out.

Tagged for the 4th time this year

Man, I probably surpassed most of you guys when it comes to being tagged. Heck, if you tag me, at least read my blogs 1st to know that I was tagged, just click my name. Anyways:

    1. I admit to being a bit nerdy, LOL.

    2. I have some anger issues sometimes.

    3. I never cried watching a movie before.

    4. I hate when people take my non serious opinions seriously.

    5. I always wanted to dated an Asian chick, preferably the one in silvurcross's avatar.

    Killzone 2 Thoughts

After finishing the campaign last week and doing a lot of multiplayer, it is safe to say that this is one of the most improved sequels ever made. While I miss the longer campaign of the 1st one, along with it's health system that Crysis ended up using, and secondary functions for guns, mostly everything else has been fixed and improved from the 1st game. The addition of a 1st person cover system is useful(only in the campaign) when things get hectic and easy to use. Smarter enemies, better pacing, more intense battles and no technical problems like framerate, glitches, bugs and controls were to be found, and speaking of technical, at it's time, it was the best looking PS3 game on the market as no other game on that system comes close to it. The sound is very good too with an epic soundtrack, decent voice acting, etc. While I think the story could had been better and the teammate a.i. needed some work, I still find the game to be good overall.

The multiplayer in this game is simply great and could almost match Halo 3. You can choose from different types of soldiers, so you have medics, assaults, rifleman, etc., and you unlock them as you play. There are a variety of modes to choose from, but the best thing is that you can combine all those modes into one match, that's right, on the fly, modes can switch randomly whenever you complete them or not, so your experience can differ greatly. It may take some time to get used to, but once you spend enough time with it, you'll be hooked for a while. The maps are designed very well too, I actually like all of them, LOL. Another cool thing this game has is BOTS. Don't want to face random strangers, just fight with 15 other bots. Why can't more games have this? While that's good and all, the lack of split screen is disappointing. And considering that this game was announced in 2005, I wonder why it wasn't added.

If you like 1st person shooters and can't get enough of them, get this game. Can't wait for the rumored Killzone 3.

The new face of Joanna Dark

Last week on the Perfect Dark forum at xbox.com was one hell of a week with the amount of pics shown and many were leaked. The graphics are getting better and better the more screens we see as it rivals Xbox games, in fact, it looks like a whole new game despite being the same game with a several new things. The game is sadly coming early next year because it's not finished, but hey, we want it finished than rushed. Anyways, Jo looks different and even better than her N64 counterpart and sort of match the renders in some ways, here's a pic for comparisons.

    This makes me happy.

    Dante's Inferno demo impressions

Lucky PS3 owners get the demo before the 360, and after playing it, while I do like it, it just feels like it's so similar to God of War. From the controls to the similarities in the story, it just feels sort of like a clone at times. Clones can't always be bad, as long as it's done right. The graphics could had been better for a hack n slash game, I know it's a demo, but honestly, I was not that impressed most of the time. The overall sound is ok as well, but the gameplay makes up for it's tech. It was still having some fun with it thanks to the amount of combos and other types of moves and magic you can pull off. I wasn't hyped for this game, but maybe I should give it a rental at least.

My thoughts on games at the VGAs

The best reason to watch the VGAs is for previews of games and games that win awards, that's pretty much it, everything else is pretty bad. I am glad Uncharted 2 won GOTY on there, since I though COD:MW2 would win it. Now for the games:

    Batman AA2

Wow, out of all the games, this one is announced way too early, but I loved Batman AA, it's one of the sleeper hits this year and gen since a lot of super hero games suck and the devs were known to make an ok game. I can't wait for this game, and besides, after playing AA1, you could had known about this game, but when is what we want to know.

    True Crime

True Crime 3 was canceled earlier(it was going to bein New York like the 2nd one), but that doesn't stop this game from being made. I liked the 1st True Crime, but hated the 2nd one because it was so buggy and glitchy along with other problems. This is made by a new dev, so this one should be good or bad, hopefully good and better than the other 2. 2010 is getting more games than we thought. I also takes place in Hong Kong as well.

    Spec Ops: The Line

There isn't much to say other than the graphics looked great and looks like a better version of killswitch, and the enivronmental interaction in the preview looked great. Hopefully it does well.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2

Seriously, why this game? A sequel to the overhyped and mixed reviewed original? The story was praised more than the gameplay, something is wrong. It may not have been terrible, well, it's more of a love/hate game anyways, LOL. I hope it's better than the 1st one, Starkiller is back in 2010. Man, our wallets will cry if this one does well.

    Crackdown 2

The preview looked awesome for this game, and by reading the improvements for the info for this game, it looks to surpass the original and become an awesome game. 4 player co-op, 16 player competitive, redesigned city, more abilities and more helps make this game most likely worth it in the end.

    Medal of Honor

The series has went downhill quite some time, but this reboot is going the COD4 way of bringing the series from WWII to modern day. And before you call it a COD rip off, remember that the COD series was made by the same people who made Medal of Honor: Allied Assault. DICE is only doing the multiplayer, and if it's like Battlefield, then the multiplayer is already good. The preview looked good and hopefully it'll redeem the series.

    Prince of Persia: Forgotten Sands

This sequel will actually continue the story from one of my favorite last gen games, POP: The Sands of Time. It doesn't really follow Warrior Within either, or even the 2008 POP, which is good but too easy. And if it's like The Sands of Time or better, it will be one of the best games this gen. Come on 2010, LOL.

    Halo Reach

Quite easily the biggest game at the show was this game. It was very short, and not a lot happened, but it's jsut more of a teaser anyways, and it's to show off the graphics of the game, and really, it does look great and a huge leap from the last 2 games. Here's some pics as well:

Bungie has also confirmed that not only is it in engine, but also in game. Some people were disappointed in these graphics, but hopefully we'll see gameplay maybe at E3 2010. The beta is in spring though. The funny thing is that it looks better in motion than these screens, so if you want to see it in action, click here and be sure to click HD option.

And to end this blog, Star Wars Battlefront 3 is still in development! Yes, this is great news. It's also rumored to come out in June 2010!

Yeah, I said I would post a blog this Saturday/Next Sunday, but I ended up going to Gamestop and buying this game:

Funny story: The game was $39.99 listed on the box, so I went to buy it and I ended up paying $31.79 for it, and no, I didn't trade any games or even had a discount card on me. Now that's one down, I have to get either inFamous or Little Big Planet for Christmas, Demon's Souls can wait next year for all I care, LOL.

Now, to play it, and leave my impressions for another blog, wish me luck as this game seems to be a huge improvement over the original from the reviews I read. I'm also buying stuff off amazon.com as we speak...

    Level 37

Yep, another level equals another congrats to me.

    Tagged again???

Man oh man oh man, you guys really must love to know more about me, I've been tagged for the 3rd time this year. but to be fair, there is a lot to know about me, then again, the same can be said for anyone.

    1. I love to game more on consoles than PC, because of exclusives, I'm not always in the mood to upgrade a PC(which leads to multiplats) and friends.

    2. I love to make sigs, mainly with female characters.

    3. I tend to be a nice guy, but can be pissed off easily.

    4. My favorite friend that's a girl is Chelsy(in real life), my god I love that blonde, and her smile, and how she "plays" with me.

    5. I don't game much as I used to, I just don't have the time for it, heck, I went days even weeks without touching my games, I'm normally busy with other things. Each gen before this was a different story...

Gran Turismo 5 demo this month!!!

Lucky PS3 owners who like GT will have a chance to download the GT5 demo on the 17th of this month. Can't wait guys, this game has been in development for so long it's insane, sure you have GT5: Prologue, but this demo offers new content not found in that game. You can read more about a contest here. I will leave my impressions on the 18th or later.

What I got from Black Friday

This game, for $5 bucks at Best Buy:

I can honestly say that this is surely a different FPS from what I played this gen, heck, it's not even a 100% FPS, according to some sites, it's a FPS/RPG/survival horror/sandbox hybrid, and it shows too. It's also nonlinear as well as you can pretty much choose the missions you want to do in no specific order so far. I find it a tad difficult but hopefully I'll adjust to it. I hope to use the Complete 2009 Mod to improve it's graphics and maybe even show screenshots of it, it does look great.

    Games to get for Christmas

Unlike last year when I showed you a list of games for you to help me pick out comes, I narrowed it down to 1 PS3 game, 1 Wii game and 1 360 game. I have not decided entirely on what to get for each system, but I'm sure as hell getting them cheap, I'll talk more about this in the following weeks.

Top 5 high scoring games I didn't get/play this year

Lets be honest: This was a good year for games, but FAR from the best, 2007 destroys it, along with other years. Anyways, here a 5 high scoring games I didn't play on Gamespot for some various reasons.

    5. Assassin's Creed 2-Well, I played the 1st one, and I found the gameplay to be the worst thing about the game. It's not downright bad, but it's repetitive, sometimes boring and even tedious for me, it's fairly average. Everything else is done well for the most part. I didn't care for the sequel until I read the changes and everyone's reactions towards the game, and it looks to fix the problems I had with the 1st one. Because of this, I should give the sequel at least a rent.

    4. Forza 3-I do like racing sims, but I'm not in love with it, so that's pretty much it, I'll get it cheap at least.

    3. Killzone 2/Infamous/Demon's Souls-Yep, a bunch of PS3 exclusives, well, I'm waiting to get them cheap again and has other games to play, though one of these games I plan on getting for Christmas, which one you think I should get...

    2. Modern Warfare 2-You know, it may be a great game, but with I heard it's short campaign, some problems with the multiplayer, and Activision in general, there's no way in hell I'm paying full price for this game. If I do get it, it's cheap, and used, renting would be fine as well.

    1. Dragon Age-Needs to beat Bioware's previous RPG Mass Effect 1st, and plans to get it on PC, I don't even know why there's console versions of this game, not trying to sound like a PC elitist, but besides sales, this game was really designed for PC from what I read.

Halo Reach to be shown at Spike VGA, in realtime

Next week we will see Halo Reach in action, in real time says Bungie, unlike when we 1st saw Halo 3, which was purely cgi, and if Halo 3 actually looked like this:

It would still look amazing even to this day, and while I don't expect Halo Reach to look like this pic(though I wish), it should be a massive improvement over Halo 3 and ODST. Even though I hate the Spike VGAs, I have to watch it for this.

Next week, I should talk more about Halo Reach vid, the new Star Wars game that will be announced at Spike VGA, the GT5 demo, and more, stay tuned.

Before I start, remember that awful Mass Effect 2 box cover in the previous blog? If not, check it now. Well, it's OFFICIAL, in other words, it's REAL, no lie either. Yes, I know, it's hard to believe it.

    Black Friday

What do you plan on getting on this day? I plan on hopefully getting STALKER for $5 at Best Buy. Hope you get something too.

    Free Uncharted 2 Map

Those who have this game and play the multiplayer are in for a treat: On Black Friday, you will be able to download a new MP map for Uncharted 2 called The Fort, which is based off the original Uncharted. You can check this vid to see what it looks like and hope to see you online, and best of all, it's FREE!

    MAG Beta

I recently got a beta code the other day to test out a game that I wasn't that hyped for, but had some hype due to it being developed by Zipper, the guys who made the PS2 Socom games, not the 1st one on PS3. Me and betas these days. The beta has like 2 modes(Domination and Sabotage), a few maps and a huge number of players. If you kept up to date with this game, you would know that it goes up to 256 players, the highest number for a shooter on a console so far, it even beats Resistance 2 which was like 60 players. The Domination mode I tried had that many players, but the Sabotage mode goes up to 64 players. Sabotage is basically one team defends their bases while the others try to take over it. Domination is about one team trying to complete a huge number of objectives, like around 8 I think, while the other team tries to stop them. Yes, it's harder than it sounds with all those people on one map.

You can select from 3 groups of soldiers, equip your character, customize their looks and even upgrade their weapons and such. And you choose between 3 factions: S.V.E.R., Raven and Valor(I'm Valor) Which is pretty cool. But in this beta, you can find Sabotage matches much faster than Domination matches due to the number of players, and it still takes a while for people to join a game. Once you join the game, you really have to get used to the controls, they aren't bad, just need to adjust to them. The health system is like Battlefield Company 1: While there's no regenerating health, you have to heal yourself with kits and such. The maps I tried were decent and it's harder to get kills than games like Call of Duty. I must say, it does have graphical glitches as I see people doing weird things after dying, but thankfully it doesn't happen much and it's only a beta, should be fixed in the final version. And speaking of graphics, this game sure isn't quite a looker. While it had to be like that to get a huge amount of players, I honestly think it could had been a little better even though it's a beta, here's what it looks like:

And yes, I'm the black guy, no joke. While it does look better in motion, it's not that much better, it's almost comparable to Resistance 2 in some areas. Still, Zipper isn't known for graphics, the Socom games weren't lookers either, but they were fun, and so is this game. I had a blast trying to support the teams I was on and the various objectives prevented it from being just shoot people, though that's mainly what you do. I find it funny how in both the Battlefield BC2 and MAG betas I suck at 1st but end up winning more matches and getting more kills than dying, then again, that happens for nearly every shooter I played. Overall I did like it and may even look forward to the game, it comes out in January after all.

Also, Happy Thanksgiving everyone, I sure had a lot of turkey, as always.

    Tagged again?

Yes, apparently I have been tagged, again, and it seems like you people can't get enough facts of me, then again, I can't blame you, kind of. I'm going to do 5 facts and tag some of you guys that need it, BAD.

    1. I do not like campers in games.

    2. My favorite junk food is pizza, and I just had some today, LOL.

    3. I learned that overhyped games can lead to as much as disappointement as a game that failed to live up to the hype.

    4. I have met some sluts in my life, and lets just say things got nasty...

    5. I have too many friends on Xbox Live, around a 100, most are my brother's friends along with me having a decent amount, and yes, they are cool, like you guys.

I tag lightchaos, Ak_The Twilight, hisimpson44, Thunderstarter, and Lisandro_v22. Now get to it.

No More Heroes comes to the 360 and PS3

If you guys didn't catch the news, then now you have: One of the better 3rd party games on the Wii called No More Heroes comes to thr 360 and PS3 with a new name(No More Heroes: Heroes Paradise), new modes, most likely control changes, and updated graphics. If you missed out on this and have either HD console, don't miss out on this, and here's a screenshot of the new updated graphics too:

    Avatar : The Game Demo

This demo is only found on PC, as of now, and I got a chance to download and play it. It's based off James Cameron's movie that comes out next month, and he makes awesome movies like Aliens and the 1st 2 Terminator movies, I can see the movie being great. As for this game? Going by the demo, this game is going to need some work to to be a good movie game, which is hard to find these days. You play as the soliders seen in the trailer trying to take out the Na'vi, those blue creatures, along with other monsters, and complete other tasks. There's a RPG system that lets you upgrade your weapons, ablilties, etc., and it's mainly a 3rd person shooter with some vehicle gameplay. While the demo didn't seem that bad, nothing about it amazed me as much. The graphics were pretty good, the music was ok but the voices were repetitive, and the enemies just weren't that smart. The Na'vi tends to ignore you while you are shooting them, you can't be serious. The overall gameplay from that demo just wasn't that impressive, and if the whole game is like that, this is going to be either a rent or not buy. But it has 16 player online though, so hopefully that isn't tacked on like a decent amount of games this gen. I just hope the full game is better.

    Bayonetta Demo

I got the code to try the 360 version of the demo, and let me tell you: IT KICKS ASS! This game actually has great reviews so far, with 2 10s and a 9. After playing the demo, they aren't far off from the scores: You know the same people who made Okami made this, right? As for music, well, it's pretty decent for in combat. The game maintains mostly at 60FPS, and it sure is fast and that's good for this over the top action game, along with decent graphics. The demo has a tutorial and 2 levels to choose from. The 1st level is good, as you beat up a ton of angels with a variety of moves. You had to avoid a huge enemy along the way which made it intense towards the end. The 2nd level is even better, it's amazing with 2 boss battles, each one fun to beat up, more enemies, new weapons and moves to learn for some interesting kills. This demo doesn't let up much, and with it's fun gameplay, I can't blame it. Guys, this might be the 1st game I'm getting/playing in 2010.

    Battlefield Bad Company 2 Beta

PS3 owners like me can get it now with a beta code, PC owners have to wait next month, and 360 owners have to wait next year, I feel sorry for them. Well, going by this beta, my interest went more for this game. I played the 1st Bad Company game but never really owned it. The beta has the Americans and Russians at war in a map on Africa in a mode called Rush, the Americans attack the bases while the Russians defend them. And trust me, it's not easy to be a Russian. Gameplay is similar to the 1st one, which was already great, and the destruction from the 1st game has IMPROVED a lot in this game: There are more things to blow up, and falling walls and objects will kill you. Also what's from the 1st game is the amazing sound, which is improved here as well: From constant chatters of soldiers to how the weapons sound after firing, the sound design is simply win in this game. Hearing a tank firing and blasting something is what you need to hear, LOL. The health system changed, as it has got to have some of the slowest regenerating health I've seen in a game, it takes over a minute to regenerate health, which adds to the challenge, luckily there are med packs around. I had a lot of fun working as a team trying to get kills which is very rewarding, and when things get hectic, it gets intense. It's only up to 24 players, but the full game will have 40.

As for the complaints, while the beta does look good, for a beta you would expect better, as the game looked better in videos. Not just the PC version, but also the 360 version. Haven't seen much of the PS3 version. Considering the amount of people on screen and in a map in general, it isn't that bad, but I'll expect the full version to look way better as a given. Also, what annoyed me about the 1st game was that got damn hit detection: Your bullets don't always hit the enemies. In this beta: IT STILL HAS THAT PROBLEM. Most of the time I can kill them easily when it works, sometimes my bullets don't seem to have an affect on my enemies and they can take me down easily. That's BS. I'll be shooting more bullets than I need to because of that crap. It happened like 3 times at least. In the full game, it better be fixed.

Overall, I like the beta and should try more of it later on, along with the other versions.

    Brazil and the PS2

Yeah, the PS2 launched in Brazil sometime ago, for like $400 dollars. Yikes, but seeing how impressive the PS2 is, that's not bad, but I read the game are expensive there, oh crap.

Tony Hawk games hitting the bottom of the barrel

Tony Hawk Ride, the reboot in the series, gets a 3.5 at Gamespot, with other bad scores too. Ouch, I saw the gametrailers video review, and trust me, it's one of the funniest things I've seen, because the game looks so bad: The controller is a skateboard, and no, I'm not making this up either. It's also $120 because of that thing, LOL. WTF happened to his games, Tony Hawk 1-THUG(my personal favorite) are some of the greatest skateboaring games ever made. Heck, the PS2 of Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 got a 10 on Gamespot for piece sakes. The series started to go downhill with THUG 2, and it gets worse with Ride being the worst in the series. I guess I have to move on to Skate, R.I.P. Tony Hawk games, I enjoyed you at some point and left you after your quality diminishes away. I think Activision had something to do with this.

    Mass Effect 2 box art

    While I continue to enjoy Mass Effect, what is up with this box art, I read it's offical, I hope not, look at this;

Er, yeah, the 1st one is way better:

They can do better than that, your thoughts?

And I'll have a Thanksgiving blog to celebrate what I did on that day of course, take care guys and gals, stay tuned for that.

    Mass Effect and Assassin's Creed

Just recently I decided to get Mass Effect and Assassin's Creed for PC for the hell of it(and Mass Effect is better on PC anyways due to some new things). Both were pretty cheap($10 on Steam, you can't beat that, $20 for AC at Gamestop ), and I just got them also to see if I want to play their sequels. While I have not fully completed either game, I am liking Mass Effect besides a few things(cover system is like the 360 version of Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter but a tad worse, those elevators take a little longer than they should), but as for Assassin's Creed, well, I have mixed reactions on that game. It is considered to be a love/hate game, and I'm torn in between. Despite having good things about the game, I just didn't have a lot of fun with it, I just find it average, hopefully I'll finish it and the sequel should be better, and from what I read, it could be, I'll at least rent it. Damn, that's too much gaming for me.

Modern Warfare 2 Controversy in Scores, Fox News and Pay to Play it?

1 Remember the last blog I made about what the PC version lacks compared to COD4 in multiplayer and other things? Well, it shouldn't had happened as Gamespot rewarded that version with a 8.5 instead of the console versions being a 9.0. All because of those missing features, and you got to love how users are downrating that version as well. It's a shame, oh well, still a great game going by critics.

    2. This game makes it to Fox News, and they complained about you playing as a terrorist. Yeah, I'll stay out of that one, besides the fact that it's OPTIONAL and it's not real either.

    3. Activision plans to make us pay to play COD games. Yeah, I'm starting to hate them even more, what's the point? Isn't DLC enough?

As for me getting this game, yeah, when it's used.

Left 4 Dead 2 Demo Impressions

I'm a bit late on this, but after liking the 1st one, I decided to download the PC version(and my brother downloaded the 360 version since he never game on PC), and from what played it's very similar to the original with a few new things. There are new types of zombies that are even more unique and deadly than the previous zombies, like since when did zombies ever shield themselves and can only be taken out in a specific spot? There's new weapons like melee weapons like pots, machetes and guitars, and they instantly kill the majority of the mindless zombies in one hit. I find it enjoyable since chopping heads off is satisfying no matter how you see it. Other than that, it's pretty much like the 1st one. Is that a good or bad thing? That depends on how much change you wouldn't to see, not to mention it barely looks better than the original too. My brother never played the original but this demo and enjoyed it, he almost wants to buy it for the 360. I'll be getting it on PC of course whenever I do decided to buy it.

Dead or Alive 5 and Perfect Dark 2 Rumors

If you guys didn't know, I love the DOA fighting game series. I played 1-4 and loved 4. And no, not because of the women, well, that's half of it. I love playing as Kasumi though, so yeah, anyways I liked going online in DOA4 and just like the series as a whole. I recently found out DOA5 may be in development. If this is true, I'm going to need some tissues, and it's not what your mind thinks either, you know what I'm talking about.

As if you didn't know, I love Perfect Dark on the N64, one of the few games I gave a 10 to and glad it's coming to XBLA remade with modern features. I gave Perfect Dark Zero a 7 for obvious reasons and you can read the review here. There have been reports that Perfect Dark 2 was in development since 2007 but the rumor is that is was either put on hold or even canceled. This link even shows a video of what the game looks like. In development of course. So Rare decides to make some games with Natal eh, I hope they turn out well. And I want more Joanna Dark action!

    Girls of Gamespot

Yeah, I just had to talk about them, mainly the ones I'm friends with. And why is that you say? Just for the hell of it.

Fiona_Mac_92: 1st friend on GS who commented on my 1st blog, which wasn't even about gaming at all, it was about stories I write. While she isn't on much, she really appreciated the blogs I did earlier.

kbaily: She's been here for a while being in unions and all, and while she's somewhat serious with her topics and even posts, she's not that bad as she's nice, sometimes funny and makes sense most of the time, unlike some people here.

tagyhag: While she's a PC/Wii gamer newcomer, I find her to be hilarious when it comes to posting. Nearly every post I've seen from her makes me laugh or at least chuckle.

Princess_Jill: Going by her blogs, she's crazy, but funny.

Blixxed: Newcomer who is ok as she does come to System Wars sometimes and likes GTA.

Ohno_Kateh: I find some of her blogs to be good actually. She's decent but should be on more.

blueeyedtasha87: Going by her blogs, she seems to be having a hard time with her life, but at least she pulls through it.

Sandpiper121PP: I actually love her blogs as she puts a lot of work and detail into them and are quite often a good read. She's also a COD fan for your COD fans out there. She seems to be a great gamer overall.

zxv33: Another great user here with many fun blogs she creates that I end up liking, she's not that bad at all.

Lilyanne46: Newcomer who loves to collect games and I mainly see her in Off Topic ofum, she's ok but is quite different from other users here.

Viet_Phoenix: Newcomer who's been off for a while, but going by her blogs, she's a PC gamer with blogs that aren't that bad for her.

ruthielove14: IMO, she is one of the best users here. When it comes to blogs, she knows variety as I ended liking just about every blog she made from what I seen. From school to friends, to games, to traveling and more, she always puts effort into her blogs while being funny sometimes. Not to mention she showed pics of herself. While I wish she could be on here more often, I would not forget her anytime soon. I like her, a lot.

Yeah, I just did that because I wanted you to know that Gamespot isn't all guys!

And to end this blog, I present you the Top 10 Guility Pleasures in Gaming. Enjoy!

    Level 36

Yep, I finally made it to this level, congratulate me guys and gals.

    A RRODless 360 for a year

Yep, it finally has happened: My 360 has lasted one year without the RROD. My previous 2 360s got RROD months before reaching a year, but I found a way to take care of this one, it is a newer model after all, a Falcon to be exact. I overcame the usual assumptions of 360s breaking a lot, which is kind of blown out of proportion. Now excuse while I continue to play with it...

And now for some Wii news!

    No Wii HD?

According to a article, Reggie says there won't be a Wii HD, despite all those rumors. While I'm glad those rumors can rest, I still wish to see Zelda and Zero Suit Samus in HD, oh well, I can always dream. Maybe next gen?

    Create games for the Wii

If you had seen my sig on the forum, you know it says something about creating games for the Wii. Maybe not commerical games, but using a program called Wii Game Studio would allow you to create 2D games for the Wii. It's pretty much Game Maker with a different look and I've been using Game Maker for a while so I should be used to it as it's easy to use.

If you want to create 3D Wii games however, you have to use Unity 3D, but that's for commerical use though. This is some cool stuff eh, who said the Wii is useless after all?

New Super Mario Bros. Wii and COD 4 Modern Warfare: Reflex

The more videos I see of NSMB Wii, the more I want it, with 4 player co-op, the Koopa Kids making a return and being in 3D for the 1st time and the videos do make the game look fun despite it's graphics. I enjoyed the DS one despite the difficulty and I would most likely love this game. As for COD 4 Modern Warfare Reflex, I'm not getting it, while the game got better graphically as the youtube videos proved it, the graphics are still flawed and I have COD4 on PC anyways. Great for Wii owners who didn't play the HD versions though.

Now to end the Wii talk and speak of the PC version of MW2...

PC version of MW2 gets numerous complaints

If you think the $60 price tag is bad enough for a PC game, you haven't seen the features taken out of it, I'll start with this chart:

And to top it off, someone makes fun of it with this pic:

Yeah, while funny and cruel, it's sadly true. It will still sell millions, but would PC gamers like it? Stay tuned next week to find out. This game has been leaked on 360 BTW.

IW to stop making COD games?

Yep, you heard it hear folks, another article I found said IW would stop making those games when it stops being fun to make. Er, ok, that's going to be hard to do seeing what direction they're taking, but hopefully so since I want to see some new IPs from them, they have the talent after all.

Valve attacks PSN community, Pitchford responds to them

Yeah, I can't believe it either, here's what Valve said:

"Right now for Left 4 Dead 2 we're looking at PC and 360 because the community aspects really fit the game - it's all about playing with your friends,"

"But that's the short term. What we're looking at for the long term... if it works out, it works out. Right now don't not buy it on the 360 because you think it's coming out on the PS3 - it's not going to. Right? It's coming out on the PC and 360. It's going to be exclusive for that."

"In hooking up with your friends and the community aspects, I think the Xbox 360 is head and shoulders above the PS3. The 360 and PC are on par, right?"

Ouch, harsh words, and Pitchford's response:

"[Valve VP of marketing] Doug Lombardi had to take a swipe at the PS3 again, and I thought it was foolish,"

"I read it the same way I read fanboys,"

"Like there's a guy who brought the Sony platform and he's a Sony guy, so he decides he's going to spend a certain percentage of his time bashing Microsoft. And there's a guy on Microsoft doing the same thing. Those guys are childish and narrow minded; It's the same kind of thing."

Yeah, I should stay out of this one.

Now to end this blog with a few things

Mass Effect is $10 on Steam, I should buy it to see how different it is from the 360 version.

My next blog will talk about the girls on Gamespot, mainly the ones I'm friends with, and what I think about them. Why am I doing it? Well, according to this site(and many game sites in general), hardly any girls come here and I'll prove them wrong. They're just like us males and should be treated equally.

And to end with a sig with Aika from the game Skies of Arcadia

    Happy Halloween

So, what are you going to do on this day? Well, personally I'm going to eat a lot of candy, watch some horror movies and play Left 4 Dead, though I may end up playing another horror game as well. If i do plan on dressing up, hopefully it'll be good. Hope you guys do something fun today.

Top 10 Best and Worst Horror Movies

Last year I made a list of good and bad horror movies. And what better way than too list them again here for many who missed it, you may agree/disagree with me, oh well, it's my opinion anyways.

    Top 10 Worst

    10. The Blair Witch Project

    9. Alien v.s Predator

    8. Hostel Part II

    7. Black Christmas Remake

    6. The Butcher

    5. BloodRayne

    4. Alone in the Dark

    3. House of the Dead

    2. BloodRayne 2

    1. Zombie Nation

You can read my mini reviews about them here.

    Top 10 Best

    10. Cloverfield

    9. The Fly Remake

    8. Friday the 13th

    7. The Shining

    6. The Descent

    5. A Nightmare on Elm Street, can't wait for the remake, woot!

    4. The Thing

    3. Evil Dead

    2. Aliens

    1. Alien

You can read my mini reviews here.

So that's it for that, I need to watch more horror movies.

Both L4D2 and MW2 are banned in Australia

Come on now, they can't be serious. While Left 4 Dead 2 is gory and all, they can't tone it down? Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 gets banned because of a certain moment in the game that has something to do with deaths of innocent civilians. Really? 2 of the biggest games in 2009? Wow man. I don't have much to say.

    Do I like Borderlands?

Yes, I do like this game, after renting it on PS3, I decided to buy it on PC and is enjoying it so far. There are some problems like flaky enemy a.i., some repetition in the quests, nearly nonexistent story and a terrible ending, but the game makes up for it with 4 unique playable characters that can be upgraded to your liking, tons of guns to find and use, some interesting quests, great art direction and 4 player co-op along with over 20 hours of play time thanks to 160 quests to complete. I would say give it a shot but this game is certainly not for everyone. Still a great game though. Even better, the 360 and PS3 versions have been patched!

    Star Fox

This series hasn't had a game in a while, and why is that? Sales, as Shigeru Miyamoto himself talks about it in this quote:

"I tend to forget those games [laughs]. I'm a big fan of the 'Star Fox' games. Every time we make a 'Star Fox' game I'm hoping people will enjoy it as much as I do. Of course the goal every time is to try and make it more and more fun but, at least in Japan, the people that purchase the 'Star Fox' games has decreased over the years. But we still try to make them more fun and hopefully people will see the appeal in those games."

I have an idea: Make one like Star Fox 64. Man, I love that game, I had memories of playing it and the multiplayer with friends. So yeah, get on take game.

Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time demo

The game is out and I played the demo to it. The graphics were noticeably improved while still maintaining 60FPS, amazing. You played as Clank and it plays similar to Tools of Destruction in controls and gameplay, though there are sections that add some uniqueness to the franchise:

You'll be in certain rooms that will have you cloning yourself to solve puzzles. You'll clone another one of yourself or 2 that can be recorded and even rewinded as well and they get tricker as you go along. Explaining it would be kind of tough to do, but it really does add something new and cool. You are actually required to think, in a Ratchet and Clank game, no way. Overall I enjoyed it and hope to add this one to my collection one day.

So I hope you enjoy this holiday, I am most likely.

    Borderlands

Yeah, I decided to rent the PS3 version since the PC version comes out next week. The game will be due back on Sunday and has great reviews with a 85 at metacritic, I'm about to start it and going by the new sig I made, you should know who I'm playing as(it's in red but you can change the name of the character in the game). I'll leave impressions on my next blog.

    Killzone 3

A while back, there was a rumor about Killzone 3 in development, though most of you didn't know that. Now there's another rumor about it, and in a Official Playstation Magazine, it is said that this game is not only in development but could come out in 2010!!! It's not confirmed, but not denied either. My thoughts?

Resistance 3 still sounds more realistic to come out that year than Killzone 3. If it does come out, it'll probably be late. If it does make it, then the PS3's line up just got better.

    Uncharted 2 Mini Review

After taking me 9 hours to beat this game on Normal, which already outdid the 1st one since that game was only 7 hours, this is one of the games that should be played if you have a PS3. You might call me crazy after saying this, but I enjoyed it more than Metal Gear Solid 4. Like I said before, it fixes every problem of the 1st game while adding new things to make better than it should be.

Gameplay: It's a half third person shooter/half platformer with stealth elements here and there. The well designed levels and variety will keep the game going fresh even when it's about to feel repetitive. The enemy a.i. is very good at flanking you, using cover and even blindfiring. There are a few bosses in the game and each have to be taken down differently thanks to how well the levels are designed. Controls are solid, improved and new ones are added to make them even better. Add with solid pacing and you can't find much fault with it.

Graphics: Games like Uncharted, Metal Gear Solid 4 and Killzone 2 showed how awesome PS3 exclusives can look, but this game takes the crown over them. The amount of detail is staggering on characters and environments and there are times I just couldn't believe how amazing it looks. From lush forests to snowy mountains, along with the amount of things on screen, you will be left stunned as it's one of the better looking PS3 exclusives. And best of all, no framerate drops!

Sound: While some of the music is from the original, there's new music to be found here that not only sound great but perfectly fits each situation well. The voice acting is outstanding and seems the voice actors put effort into the characters as you can even feel their emotions. As for sound effects, it's good but some weapons like the AK-47 could have sounded a little better. Still minor though.

Replay Value: You won't stop playing this game anytime soon as there are 5 difficulties(1 to unlock) to choose and there's treasure you can find throughout the campaign to get trophies. There's a ton to unlock in the campaign alone, from multiplayer characters to bonuses like gameplay tweaks and more, it'll be a while. Not to mention the multiplayer it has with 10 players in most modes and 3 player co-op in co-op modes. There are a total of 10 modes to choose from and they are pretty good, though I love some like Gold Rush and Survival. It even has a perk system similar to Call of Duty 4 called boosters which upgrades your character to have more ammo, move faster while aiming, etc., and you have to level up by doing these modes while earning money to unlock them. It can be addictive and keep you busy for days and is not tacked on like some predicted since it doesn't hurt the campaign at all, unlike some games this gen.

Overall: I really enjoyed this game a lot actually. There are some games that barely improve on previous games in this day and age, but unlike certain games, instead of being a rehash with a few new things, this game improves upon the 1st in many ways and add new things to give it a different feel. The complaints are so few and minor that to me it really doesn't affect the game at all. If you own a PS3 and like platformer shooters with some stealth, this is a must buy.

I'm finally giving a PS3 exclusive a 10/10, this one BTW, and no, I didn't give Metal Gear Solid 4 a 10 either. These are my final thoughts on the game, I'm glad you read it, now buy this game.

    New banner and sigs

Let me start off by saying I have a new banner and some sigs. I made one for Chloe from Uncharted 2 and here's what it looks like:

I'll be using it for this week as I play Uncharted 2 and use another sig I made for next week.

    Resistance 3

We all know it's coming, if you beat Resistance's 2 campaign(with it's crappy ending) and notice Insomniac's way of releasing games this year(Resistance, Ratchet 5, Resistance 2, Ratchet 6, Resistance 3?), it has to happen. However, this pic shows the billboard of the game in the weirdest way, take a look shall we?

Now, people are saying this is fake and photoshopped, but after finding a link for proof, it may be real. The link I'm posting shows a video of someone driving to this spot. Seems legit, bring it on. And make the campaign as long as the 1st one and maybe longer and not as short as the 2nd one while you're at it. And improve it too, I know champ would like that.

More Halo games in the future!

If you guys can't get enough Halo and want more than Halo Reach, don't worry, there will be more. In fact, Halo is planned for 6 more Years. Great news, right? I bet these games will be based off the books, if they make party games of it, may god help us all. And before you complain, think about how long Mario is lasting.

    Short Uncharted 2 Impressions

I got up early this morning and brought this game and I'm only into Chapter 16 and done some multiplayer matches and so for I'm impressed. Even though I still have a long ways to go as there are 26 Chapters, which automatically makes the game longer than the original since it had 22 Chapters but a lot of chapters were short, this game already outdid the 1st one in many ways. With better controls along with a few new ones, improved enemy a.i., excellent pacing, variety in it's gameplay(it's more than just a shooter guys, it's also a platformer with stealth gameplay and puzzles), funny jokes, Elena looking better than she did in the original, nice set pieces, intense moments that will have you on the edge of your seat, solid soundtrack and some of the most amazing graphics I've seen on the PS3, let alone a console game, you can say that so far there's not much wrong with this game. I also love how in certain moments you can go guns blazing or be stealthy, though being stealthy is not that easy. I should review the game later on since there's a lot more to the game than what I just said, but if everything goes well, this might be the 1st PS3 game I gave a 10 to, and no, I didn't give Metal Gear Solid 4 a 10 despite me playing and enjoying it.

    I've been tagged!

Yep, it's that time again, it's time to start laying down some facts about me. Though I'm copying and pasting the 1st 20 facts from my previous blog with minor changes, I'm adding 5 more facts to prevent it from being a total rehash, so lets get to it:

    1. I'm African -American

    2. I'm 21 years old

    3. My friends got me into gaming, without them, I'll probably would have NEVER played games.

    4. NES was the 1st console I played on along with Super Mario Bros. in 1993, though I did play some Atari 2600 games like Adventure, Pit Fall and Yar's Revenge. I had some catching up to do.

    5. I own a NES, SNES, GEN, Game Gear, PS1. N64, Dreamcast, PS2, Xbox, Gamecube, GBA along with SP, Nintendo DS along with Nintendo DS Lite, Xbox 360, Wii, PS3(new one added) and 2 PCs(one gaming and one for other crap). I never owned a bad system, though I did play some games on Virtual Boy(Mario Clash), Sega CD(The Terminator, Eternal Champions) and Sega Saturn(Sonic R, Panzer Dragoon, Gex) and R-Zone(can't remember the game sadly).

    6. I'm not a (mindless) fanboy.

    7. Most of my friends are guys, though some are girls, which is a plus, and they touch and hug me, which is another plus considering that I have some nerd in me.

    8. I only had 2 girlfriends in my life, and one of them was so sexy that I had to say "Oh yeah baby."

    9. I used to be very attractive(some girls find me hot), not so much more anymore though, I'm sad.

    10. I can play nearly every genre for games, including Platformers, Shooters, Action, Adventure. Fighting, Sports, Party, Puzzle, RPGs and more.

    11. The only game genre I never touched was music/rhythm, I don't see the appeal to it. In other words, I never played Guitar Hero, Rock Band, Wii Music, etc.

    12. I like to play original, unique and creative games. I love underrated games and hate overrated ones.

    13. I also play sports, mainly football, which I love. I like basketball and baseball but nowhere near as much as football.

    14. For entertainment, it's: Games>Movies>T.V.>Music

    15. For movies and t.v. shows, I like comedy, sci-fi, action, horror, drama and romance. I hate most horror remakes. I hate musicals, only a few I saw are good, most are bad. Boy, I'm sure showing a lot of hate towards music, LOL.

    16. I'm an indie game developer trying to make some games with Game Maker, mainly 3D games, I've done some 2D ones.

    17. The original Star Wars trilogy is my favorite movie trilogy, most movie trilogies have a bad movie(mainly the 3rd ones). I could make a list, but meh, you should know them already.

    18. I'm into most superheroes, though I don't care about Super Man.

    19. I hate racism.

    20. I'm probably the most interesting friend you'll have on the internet. Admit it champ.

    Now for 5 new ones:

    21. I hate winter, cold weather sucks!

    22. I like Elementary and High Schools the most, I hated Middle School.

    23. I like to write stories. Both short and long, longest I wrote is still 400 pages.

    24. I've been on System Wars for nearly a year now, yes, it's hard to believe.

    25. I have tremors, and if you don't know what that is, look it up, be glad you don't have them.

    I tag:

    psn8214

tagyhag(I really want to know more about you girl)

    Pierst179

    nintendoboy16

    Blueguy93

    Another game gets delayed, WTF???

I am offically calling 2009 "The Year of Delayed Games". We got:

God of War 3(suppose to come out in October 2009, got delayed half way this year)

    Heavy Rain

    M.A.G.

    Bioshock 2

    Max Payne 3

    Postal 3

    Mafia 2

    Splinter Cell: Conviction

    Alpha Protocol

And now Slient Hill: Shattered Memories, which is said to come out next month but it pushed to February!

Stop it, you're making 2010 look too damn good. Oh well, more year(s) equals more polish equals better game, except for some like Too Human and Daikatana for examples.

    Now lets wait...

    Level 35

Yes, it's about time I leveled up. After so many moderations, it finally died down and for the 1st time I managed to get to this level. Mods are still strict here. Congrats to me.

New sig and most likely avatar

After fooling with Photoshop again, I just planned on trying to make my own sigs for GUFU so I don't have to wait for another one. While I won't get rid of the sig I got as of now, sometimes I want to change. So far, this new sig has Lilith from Borderlands and will be using it around the time the game comes out, if not, then later on. Well, here it is, and if you need me to add/fix it, let me know:

    And possible avatar:

    Left 4 Dead

I got Left 4 Dead last week, and so far I'm liking it. But I got it on PC of course, since it has more support and I wouldn't get a Valve game on a console anyways. It's a fast paced survival horror game with 4 player co-op and even if you play alone, the bots that follow you are actually smart at defending you and even healing you. There are multiple campaigns to go through and they have several levels to beat. The lack of autosave means if you die once, you have to restart the whole level again. On harder difficulties, this can be frustrating, and since this game has randomly generated enemies depending on how well you play, try not to die a lot. It's still a fun game even with all the mindless shooting, and th extra modes it has will keep me busy with this game for a while. Also, Zoey FTW baby.

    Another game delayed

What is up with 2009 for delayed games, a lot of games have been delayed this year to arrive next year. Alpha Protocol is a Spy RPG that was suppose to come out THIS month, but is now delayed to as far as September 2010, wow. While 2009 still has great games, it's still getting less games now and it's making 2010 surpass the previous years this gen in overall quality of games.

    Zombieland

I went to see this movie and overall I liked it. It's a comedy horror movie that should not be taken seriously in anyway shape or form, it reminded me of Shaun of the Dead. While I do have to complain about a few parts in the movie that didn't hold my interest in some scenes, the humor is strong and sometimes creative. The cast did a great job, but Woody Harrelson as Tallahassee stole the movie for me, he was such a bad ass while delivering funny lines like "It's time to nut up or shut up." and the drama with his love for Twinkies is priceless. The main character Colombus is alright, he develops more as the movie goes along, and Emma Stone as Wichita along with her sister did well and were llkable. How these people kill zombies is actually more funny than serious and this movie is almost a parody of zombie movies as well. I truly did love the ending as it ends on a high note. I say if you haven't seen this movie and like comedy horror movies, go and see it. Thanks jg4xchamp for telling me to see this movie.

    3. It's also the highest rated console game this year at Gamespot with a 9.5.

This is my 350th blog so far, go me. Throughout my blogs, I do read every single comment on them, even though I don't respond most of the time, at least I read and understand them and know what yoy guys are like, so it's all good. And what better way to celebrate it with not 1, not 2, not 3 but 4 demos that will lead my to purchasing these games in the future, they are Little Big Planet(PS3), Forza 3(360), Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2(PS3) and Uncharted 2: Among Thieves(PS3). So lets begin shall we?

    Little Big Planet

For some reason, I still don't have this game. It's a 2.5D platformer on 3 planes instead of 2. The presentation is pretty high as it has a solid art direction and nice soundtrack to set the mood. The simple yet great platforming and good level designs kept me entertained as I had to find ways to get past various parts in the environments. Speaking of that, you can even customize them with stickers and other decorations to give them a unique. The demo contained around 4 levels and got harder as you progressed but it's not that challeging and the unique gameplay doesn't disappoint.

However, what disappoints me the most are the controls. How can this game have flawed controls you say, well, when it comes to movement after landing, you may end up going too far or not enough due to how it responds. And with it being heavily based on physics, this is a problem, and other reviewers pointed that out as well. But everything else works perfectly, so it's not that big of a deal, more of an annoyance and it takes some getting used too. I will get this game for $30 at amazon.com and own the highest rated PS3 exclusive.

    Forza 3

It seems every 2 years there's a new Forza game. The 1st one that I own is one of my favorite racing games on the Xbox and is debated to be better than GT(Gran Turismo)4(I can hear the GT fan(boy)s coming, LOL). Forza 2 came in 2007 and improve the series somewhat, while the graphics in those 2 games are nothing special, the intense driving and difficult A.I.(even on normal) with great tracks made these games winners in my book. With Forza 3 coming this October 2009, how did the demo stack up? Well, lets find out:

There's only 1 track and 2 laps, and I did like the track too. The graphics are noticeably better than Forza 2 and actually looks great for a Forza game, though I think there are bette looking racing games than that. The controls and gameplay is the same as the last 2 games, nothing is really changed, but even on normal, the A.I. is still a little tough. It's like you're playing the same game with better graphics, hmm...

But not to worry, they did add a new feature that allows you to, I'm not making this up, allow you to rewind whenever you make any mistakes. How it works is that you have to mess up and on the bottom there's a message for you to use the back button to hold and rewind the game to go back to a time when you didn't make a mistake. It lasts for several seconds and you can continue from there. This is useful and can help you fix mistakes and learn a lot, but if you feel it makes the game easier for you, you don't need to use it, though you can still only win by actually trying, LOL.

Going by previous Forza games, this will be a great game, but by the 3rd installment, you start to feel like you've played this before, though it's only a demo. Still, it would most likely be worth owning, for me it'll be at a much, much later date.

    Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2

One year after Ninja Gaiden 2 came out, this game takes that game and expands it with new playable characters, modes, levels, weapons, enemies and bosses not found in the original while improving the framerate and other flaws, it even has better graphics too and it's in 720p as in HD unlike the original which is like 585p and non HD. I have own Ninja Gaiden Sigma(as mentioned in a previous blog), so I knew the controls right off the bat, and they are the exact same pretty much. But while this demo was similar to the Ninja Gaiden 2 demo on 360, this one actually has content that wasn't in the 360 version and made it WAY better than the original demo.

The 1st level in the demo is exactly like the one in Ninja Gaiden 2, even the enemies and level design are the same, except for 1 thing: There's a new boss at the end of it, and it was somewhat challenging. After you beat it, you unlock another difficulty or 2 and a new playable character name Ayane. The Dead or Alive buxom is a faster version of Ryu and she had her own level not found in the original and it was pretty good with some new enemies as well. Even after that, you unlock Team Missions, and the demo contained 2 missions that can be played with 2 players or 1 player and a bot who actually isn't that bad and sometimes fight better than me, LOL. You can only use Ryu and/Ayane and even select your own weapons, at least for Ryu. In this mode you fight wave after wave of enemies until it's over. It's decent but I hope the full game has more variety in these missions.

I had fun with it, but the camera can still be a pain at times as you try to navigate it through the environments and when numerous enemies surround you. Also, like Sigma 1, it's actually a little easier than the original, but can still be challenging for newcomers and isn't a walk in the park, at least on the hard difficulty. I shall get it later.

Also, here's something most of you didn't know: This game allows you to jiggle the female characters's breast with six axis by moving the controller up and down in 2 ways. Yes, this is real, and it's in the demo too. I shaked the controller up and down and Ayane's breast were jiggling uncontrollably. But there are 2 flaws to this: 1. It adds nothing to the gameplay, it's not like the enemies would stare at them jiggle or anything, and 2. To get it to work, you have to be accurate and move it FAST or it won't work and would get your hand tired. LOL, it's like you're jerking the controller for pleasure, those devs are more perverted than I thought. And here's a video for proof, and keep your pants on too.

    Uncharted 2: Among Theives

After months waiting to play this multiplayer beta/demo, all I have to say is: It's worth the wait. Out of all the demos I've played in my life so far, I have spent the most time on this one. Usually I play a demo once or twice, 3 whenever possible, but this demo is PACKED. To start, for a beta, this game looks amazing and people are considering this to be one of the best looking games ever made on a console. Even IGN gave the graphics in this game a 10/10.

The content this demo has is insane, and so are the unlockable content to get you playing for over a week at least. To start, there are 4 maps, 4 competitive modes, 2 co-op modes, a cinema-like mode, unlockable abilities, skins, weapons, and more. Think about it now. I tried the modes and each were fun. In my 1st Deathmatch my 1st kill was blowing someone up with a grenade, LOL. My favorite mode is Gold Rush, which has you working in a team of 3 and try to carry treasure to the other side of the map while dealing with unlimited enemies. There's 10 rounds and they get more difficult as you progress with tougher and numerous enemies. This mode is all teamwork and is one of the most intense ones in the demo. I freaking love this mode and could spend hours on it, LOL.

I would go into details with other modes, but they're pretty much like other modes you did in other games, but still fun. And that cinema like mode is similar to Halo 3's Theatre mode. As for everything else, it's fine for the most part. The controls are the same as the 1st but with new ones and even improvements, like the grenade throwing and more melee attacks. In the original, using the six axis for grenade throwing is awful IMO. Here, it's optional and using the usual kind makes it smoother, and in a multiplayer match, we all want that.

This demo actually impressed me a lot. Sure, it can take a while to find certain matches, but other than that, it's just plain awesome. Hurry and play it now, because it only lasts until October 12th, the 13th is when the game comes out and this would probably be a day one for me. And oh, BTW, Chloe>Elena.

    Crysis

After playing the demo and posting a screenshot in a earlier blog, I decided to buy the game instead and I must say, it's a worthy purchase. I read about what this game had to offer and so far I'm impressed of how you play this game, it may seem like any other shooter, but it sure is engaging and actually pretty lenghty for a FPS these days, which won't take much since most FPSs are under 8 hours in campaign anyways. Also, here's a pic of it on medium settings since I can only run it at those settings(needs a better AMD CPU) I'm obsessed with this game's amazing graphics that still looks great for a 2007 game.

    Halo 3 ODST

I have heard good things about this game, then again it's a Halo game, expect good reviews on it. But the one thing that is putting me off this game is the PRICE. After reading about what it has and what it is, no way I'm paying $60 for this game. Instead, I'll just get it off amazon.com for $50 or less.

Ok, I'm going to tell you guys the truth: I never paid full price for a Halo game, ever. I get them cheap, I actually rented the 1st 2 games and got them cheap, then I got Halo 3 for like $30 brand new at Target doing one of their amazing deals. Never brought Halo Wars since it's a spin off, though that isn't bad, it's just not needed. So expect something from me next week about this game, hopefully.

    Brutal Legend demo

It's finally here, and boy did I enjoy it. I liked the art direction, controls, gameplsy and humor in the demo. Yes, this game has humor in it, something that more games need. Even if you like or hate Jack Black, you can't hate how funny he is in certain scenes. It's a hack n slash game with vehicle sections and Guitar Hero like gameplay where you press certain buttons while playing the guitar. I must say it was fun slashing my enemies and using various moves and powers, though the demo could had been a little more difficult. I think this game is going to rock in October and will be getting it.

The next demos I'm doing are Forza 3 and Uncharted 2, yes, Uncharted 2 has a demo next week on Tuesday but it's multiplayer only from what I read, so stay tuned for that. If they let me play as Chloe, I'm going to enjoy it even more.

Scoring a game low because it's too hard

Demon's Soul(PS3) has great reviews so far, ranging in the 9s, but it has a 6 from one review, and guess what the main complaint was: It's difficuty. Yes, the game was bashed for being too hard. To be fair, the same can be applied for a game for being too easy, but there are some great games that are too easy. What's your take on this, should a game being judged based off it's difficulty?

And I'm going to end this blog by 3 things:

    1. I should create ideas for newer blogs when I make my next blog.

    2. I shall show you a pic of my first friend on Gamespot Fiona_mac_92 as you remember me talking about her on my previous blog:

    3. And if this pic doesn't want/get you to play with your Wii, I don't know what will, besides games:

This blog will be split into sections and I should do this for now on, for the most part.

New Sig: A few days ago I got it and told you about it, but now that I made a new blog for it, here it is:

After you're done staring, let move on. I hope she looks like that in the XBLA version, at least her face and that's possible since everything is remodeled and retextured.

Patrick Swayze died at age 57 yesterday, he was a good celeb and may he R.I.P.

1st Friend you got on Gamespot: Do any of you remember the 1st friend you tracked here? I do, and it's user Fiona_mac_92, who is a female(YES) and her real name is Fiona. Also, she was the 1st one to comment on my 1st blog ever, which was about stories. She posted on my 1st 7 blogs which were all about stories and left this site for a while. Now she's back and I commented on her new blog, and since she hasn't responded, I'll just message her. Hopefully she's legal since she was younger when I 1st joined here.

Batman AA DLC: Yep, you heard right, this Thursday this game is getting FREE DLC, it's a new challenge map, even better, it's getting another FREE challenge map next week. I'm going to be even more busy with this game.

Brutal Legend demo: This Thursday Brutal Legend gets a demo, only on 360 and PS3(no PC). Can't wait guys, it's one of my most wanted games this year. Sure, Jack Black voices the main hero, but the unique gameplay and the fact that it's made by the same people who made Psychonauts should make it a great game. I will make a blog about the demo after playing it.

Valkyria Chronicles 2 is only on PSP and Japan only: That sucks man, not only I can't play it since I don't own a PSP, but it's only in Japan as of now. WHY? Probably because of the sales of the 1st one. The 1st one is one of my favorite PS3 exclusives, this is an outrage, I hope it comes to the US at least. And here's a screenshot for proof:

I'm finally back to talking more about girls again, and this focuses on Redheads.

Redheads: There's a myth that people say redheads are crazy. I don't know if this is true or not, how about you? Well, the 3 redheads I met were pretty looking but also crazy, no lie. I don't remember everything they did, but I do remember them kicking and touching me for some reason. But at the same time, these chicks were funny and loved to smile at me a lot, LOL. I starting to think they're crazy. In fact, I went to a forum talking about them and then some random user said this, no joke "LOL! Red heads are CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!" Oh my god, it might be true, what do you think?

Also, here's a spolier about them to end this blog, you don't need to read it since it's sexual, but if you can handle it, that's ok.

    ***SPOILER***

Finally back for another new blog. I'm finally at Level 34 again, and went weeks without being modded. I should be a level 40 or higher by now, hopefully I can last too. You should notice my new banner and the fact that used Perfect Dark fonts for my name. Guys and gals, I'm obessed with her(and her games). Also, I'm getting a new sig from GUFU made by one of the members and it's going to look sexy(and will post it in a future blog), just the way I like it.

Sega announced a new 2D Sonic game, working title is Project Needlemouse. It is said to be in HD and play like the Sonic games on the Sega Genesis, which is always a good thing and will come out in 2010 for all systems but handhelds, and yes, even for the PC and Wii. And speaking of Sega Genesis games, you can now get Sonic N Knuckles off XBLA for 400 points. It even has online play and a really cool feature too.

I saw District 9 the other day and did find it to be a very good movie, but what amazes me is that the trailer really doesn't give away the movie at all. Heck, what also shocked me was the villians in the movie. I did like the pacing, complex story of survival and top notch action along with some scary moments, but this movie felt a little too short and the ending wasn't that great. Overall, I still enjoyed it while it last and do recommend it to those who like these types of movies.

While 2010 looks like the best year for games this gen(looks to surpass 2007 already), 2009 is no slouch either. In fact, I made a list of games I want to get in 2009, it's not 100% confirmed and I may not get every single one of them this year, but I'll do the best I can. Here they are:

Let me start that Best Buy is going to be awesome this and next week. Why, because right now, if you buy 1 360 game, you can get another one half off(50%), and this includes games that aren't out yet. Though they need to update the list of new games that are coming out. That's for this week, and PS3 is next week. I'm so doing this, hope you do too, they should do this for the Wii and PC. I'm so going to take advantage of this deal.

You like my new Zero Suit Samus avatar and how she stares at you don't you? Yeah, she looks like she wants to have a good time by you playing with her, her games that is, like 3 Metroid Prime games in one in:

I'll get it later on since I played those games, but if you played them all or not, either way, you'll enjoy your time with her. Don't be shocked if I changed my avatar.

Looks like this site listed 10 movie franchises that needs to die, and my responses to it:

Saw-The 1st one was the best, after that they went from average to awful, yeah, it should die.

Final Destination-Random deaths with no good plot should go, I agree.

    Die Hard-Maybe.

"Something" Movie(Date Movie, etc.)-OH GOD YES! Destroy these horrible movies.

Alien v.s. Predator-The 1st one was terrible and I can't say much with the sequel and I have seen both, I agree.

    Underworld-Meh.

Anything with Jay and Silent Bob(Clerks 1 and 2, Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back, etc.)-LOL, nope.

Jurassic Park-After that god awful and disappointing JP3, I agree, it's a shame too, the trailer was cool, the movie wasn't.

Pirates of the Caribbean- The 1st one was awesome, the 2 sequels were lame, I agree.

    The Mummy-I wouldn't mind.

That's it for that, and now, I finally beat Batman AA, and I must say, this is one of the best games of 2009. There's a lot of good things about this game and some bad things, I'll list them in sections:

    Graphics:

The Good-One of the better uses of the Unreal 3 Engine, there's a lot of detail on the characters and environments. Atmosphere that perfectly matches the game.

The Bad-Not much to complain about, though the lip syncing could use some work on certain characters.

    Sound:

The Good-Impressive voice acting and daunting music that matches the mood for most moments. Sound effects are done very well, even punching people in this game sounds like it packs a punch, LOL.

    The Bad-None, it's perfect.

The gameplay in this game is superb and has variety too, like: beat em up, exploring, platforming, stealth and puzzle solving. Each is done well for many reasons. The game is well paced, enemies have decent a.i. even on normal(hard is another story) and most bosses are fun to fight due to different ways of taking them down. This game never gets truly repetitive due to it's variety of gameplay, though it does sometime. You can upgrade Batman's moves and gadgets by taking out enemies/bosses and completing objectives. As you play the game more, it gets better too since you really don't know what could happen. The story is decent as well, though not that great. It takes over 8 hours to beat.

The few complaints I have is that not every boss is great to fight, a little are disappointing. Like I said before, it does get repetitive sometimes, and while countering enemies work most of the time, sometimes you just got to be spot on or else you take a hit.

As for replay value, this game is packed. To start, you can unlock a new armored suit for Batman, which is useful for tougher challenges. After beating the story, you can always play it on a harder difficulty, but you can still explore the island and find 240 riddler trophies scattered throughout the island. You must collect most of them to unlock all 16 challenge modes, which has 2 different types of gameplay: beat em up and stealth. You can always to get get a high score(beat em up) or fastest times(stealth) to show on the leaderboards, and most challenges do offer some a little variety in certain ones to prevent them from being all the same. And you can use the gadgets from the story in the campaign as well. You can also collect numerous interview tapes, which has recordings of certain villains of their time in jail. And collect folders of bios of various characters, a must for any Batman fan. There's so much to do I doubt renting it would get you all the things you need to find, unlock and beat.

If you have the PS3 version, like I said before, it has the Joker(for the challenges) and he plays differently from Batman, he's fun but too weak, he goes down fast, but he's fast, so that's understandable.

Overall, I enjoyed this game a lot. It's not perfect, but then again, most games aren't. This is Batman fanservice, and since I'm a Batman fan, I'm in heaven. For years we had Batman games, some good ones, mostly awful ones, but this is a superb one unlike the others. Even if you don't like Batman, it won't stop you from enjoying this game since it has awesome gameplay. This is really one of the best games of 2009. I'm going to be glued to this one since I have a lot to do, take care guys and gals.

Yesterday, I got Batman: Arkham Asylum for the PS3, and I got that version because of the free Joker DLC and I needed a multiplat for the PS3. So far, I'm liking this game: You really feel like Batman as you use gadgets to solve puzzles and explore the environment, stealth is mandatory in certain sections and you can upgrade your moves as you play through the game. The reviews for this game are high, it's one of the highest scoring games of 2009 with a 91% at metacritic and a 9.0 at Gamespot. While I haven't gotten too far, it seems to be really good. I will continue on playing it, and for those who said the demo was too easy, this game does have a hard mode to test your skills.

I have tried the demos for Lost Planet 2 and Wet, both on 360(PS3 will come later) and I'll do Lost Planet 2 1st. The demo was good for Lost Planet 2 since taking down a huge boss required you to find ways to kill it, and it has co-op, but here's some complaints: The controls. The default controls has up on the dpad to zoom in and such, and clicking the right stick reloads your weapon, shouldn't be the other way around? Even taking out the boss can frustrate some since you need to be specific about how to kill it(or else you have to try again), but it was still fun shooting bugs inside it, so yeah. I did like the demo, and I should had gotten zgreenwell to help me, LOL.

As for the Wet demo, it didn't leave me feeling wet(I wanted it to), but it was ok. You play as Rubi and must shoot though waves of bad guys and do some acrobatics here and there, while playing like Max Payne with bullet time, which happens when you jump, slide while shooting. It looks cool at 1st, but it's simply most of the same thing over and over again. But you can use your sword to slash enemies, which go down instantly, but you have to be quick of course. Some improvement to the enemy a.i. would help. Another section of the demo has you in Rage mode, where it's all red, white and black and has a much faster pace too. That was alright, but the last section has you using quicktime events on jump on cars and slashing enemies, and shooting enemies while on cars of course. There wasn't a lot of bad things about it,but it's nothing special either.

Activision 1st milk the Guitar Hero series with all these games coming out this year:

    Guitar Hero Metallica

    Guitar Hero Smash Hits

    Guitar Hero Van Halen

    Band Hero

    DJ Hero

    Guitar Hero Modern Hits

    Guitar Hero 5

That's not a joke, and now they're making the PC version of Modern Warfare 2 $60. It's not a collector's edition either, which is worse. Since when then they think they can make it that high, until $60 becomes the standard for PC games, I'm not paying that much.
