UPDATE TIME!
well, for starters, i am taking a break from Ninja Gaiden II for a while...it's an amazing game, but i need to give my other games some attention, too. so i played some Kingdom Hearts II and Chain of Memories for a while, with the occasional playthrough of Halo 3 and random DS games. Oh, and Marathon. had to get some more stuff done on Marathon.
i've also decided to add some Mac-compatible games to my hard drive...but i don't have any Mac-compatible games. specifically, i've been looking for Halo and Starcraft...but i haven't been able to find them yet...but that might be because i have yet to go to back to Wal-Mart or Best Buy. i'll have to look into it.
But on the topic of Starcraft, I can't wait for Starcraft II...yeah, i'm gonna get it, and it will be awesome.

Chapter 2 of Ninja Gaiden II is not coming along very well on Mentor...ah well. my brother and I have been playing a lot of Rock Band, and I decided to get back into Lost Planet, as I only got as far as mission 5 before getting sidetracked by other stuff...mission 6 is mean, and so is the moth in mission 5...but if we're gonna be like that, then the worm in chapter 3 is mean, too. so we're gonna take the high road and not complain about those things.
i'll probably try and beat Devil May Cry 4, too. sounds like fun. then i'll have defeated most of my games in at least one thing...N3 and DOAX2 will not get that sort of satisfaction.
oh, and a little bit of trivia for Ninja Gaiden II. for those that don't know, Chapter 9 (Heart of Darkness) is a reference to Joseph Conrad's novel of the same name...and the opening of the chapter is taken from a scene in Apocalypse Now. all three things (the game chapter, the book, and the movie) are set in the jungle, although Ninja Gaiden II takes place in South America, Heart of Darkness was based in the Congo, and Apocalypse Now as in the jungles of southeast Asia. that's my bit of trivia for the day.

Red vs. Blue fans will get the reference.
Ninja Gaiden II has been defeated on Path of the Warrior by me! now to try and unlock the weapon achievements, higher difficulties, and maybe-likely color variations. speaking of color variations, I find the variations somewhat intriguing. okay, I expected Dark Blood to be, well, darker, but it has a very nice gold touch to it. and Type 20 is pretty cool; Ryu could hide in a forest and not be seen (not really, but we can dream). like I said, I hope there are more color variations available for defeating the higher difficulties.
in non-Ninja Gaiden II news, I have managed to unlock all but the online achievements for Halo 3...the meta-game is very fun, especially if you wanna one-up a friend (or sibling). and I've managed to get my older sister to actually play Halo...okay, so it was just multiplayer, but still! she was a lot more receptive than my dad was, so I count this as a win!
and my brother is borrowing Rock Band from a friend, so we've been playing that a fair amount.
as expected, I'll be playing more Ninja Gaiden II later, and I'll let my youngest sister play some, too!

Ninja Gaiden II...is so awesome that words can barely describe it. while I can understand the reasons it got an 8.0, I also understand that only a few can truly appreciate the beauty that is the game. I've grown quite fond of the Falcon's Talons, so I've been using those a lot since I got them...while I'm only in Chapter 4 on "Normal", I'm still enjoying the game. i've died a few times (maybe around 10 or so), but that is to be expected from a new game. if only games could be this good in the future...
and I would be playing it right now, except that I'm watching my nieces while everyone else is either typing on their computers or sleeping. ramen is a great help in keeping them calm...so I salute the wonderful noodle for all its help and support.

most people assume that is when the game arrives in the store, as opposed to it being when the game is sent out to the stores. doesn't necessarily mean it will arrive that day.
so I wait for tomorrow to come, so that I may get Ninja Gaiden II...it is really boring. waiting, I mean. I'm certain that the game itself is in no way boring. but, of course, I am unable to confirm this, as the game is still being sent to retailers and I'm stuck in my house babysitting. at least I can still listen to music on my Mac.
well, that is all for now. I will post an update after I get Ninja Gaiden II and see how it plays.

that's right, folks. i'm now 21, as of today...and tomorrow's St. Patrick's Day...and payday wasn't that long ago. no, i don't think i'll go crazy and get tanked or anything like that.
because of all of the boredom going on here on campus (and spring break being NEXT week), i decided to see how long it would take for me to get through Ninja Gaiden...over half the game completed in three and a half hours...i'm actually ahead of my old record. afterwards, i'm going to go through the game without getting the wooden sword, so that'll be fun.
my mom visited today, and we went and ate Chinese food...and sushi. then we went to Hastings, where she bought me Blue Harvest, and then we bought some used games...Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin and Dynasty Warriors: Gundam (hey, i like Gundam, get off my back). and now i'm just sitting around, playing some games and watching National Lampoon's Van Wilder on the TV. good times.
nothing really going on right now...ah well, that be life, i guess. well, you guys enjoy your day. tip your waitress.

have any of you noticed that those things watches rest on before you buy them look a lot like xenomorph heads? right as i started to type this, i noticed that and thought that to be weird.
crazy psychobabble aside, things are looking up for me, socially and financially. i'm making more friends, i'm still in my place of zen when it comes to Kim, and nobody seems to be pissed off at me. financially, i'm making money and i don't owe anything to the university. things are good, and i'm happy about it.
last week, my RD and I beat Halo 3 because he's never seen the ending...and he was lucky that i had purchased the game. i also beat it on heroic, and i'll try to tackle legendary after a while...probably when i go home for Spring Break because it'll be easier having a second person, plus i'll have time to make the attempt, when i'm not playing Ninja Gaiden DS. oh, believe me, i'll have it by then.
well, that be that...i've got class tomorrow (duh), and other stuffs. take care to all. laters

well, it's not really, but it got your attention.
i got my 360 back, but my brother can be really cruel sometimes...the rechargeable battery was out of juice, the charge and play cord was missing, as well as the headset and the ethernet cable. oh, and he didn't send Republic Commando, either. and to make matters even worse, my Ninja Gaiden data was damaged, so i have to start those over...again.
earlier today, i played some good old Halo: Combat Evolved...ah, those were the days, no? and before i got to the desk, I played some Dead Or Alive 4, to see how far i could go in survival...it wasn't very far, just so you know. next week i'm gonna try to find someone that has Rock Band so i can get some data on my 360...hey, don't look at me like that! i wanna rock (Rock!)...horrible Twisted Sister reference there, but it was worth it.
recently i've been playing some Final Fantasy III on the DS because i've never played it and i don't like trying reach level 99 in Revenant Wings...hey, it's the only way i'm gonna get Bahamut and Zodiark in that game, and i want them, so get off my back! but the copy of Final Fantasy III i'm playing isn't mine, i'm borrowing it from a friend, so in that sense i am saddened. oh, i also get payed on the 15th, so that'll be fun. nevermind that i have a paper due then as well...i'm happy that i get paid and get to keep the paycheck.
and now to slightly rewind to when i mentioned that i was playing Halo today...i chose Halo because it's the first one and is mucho awesome, and i no longer have my copy of Halo 2...it got lost, and i was sad...and i still don't have Halo 3, but who wants that anymore? i kid, i kid...but still, nobody plays Halo 3 in my dorm anymore...whatever flies their kites, i guess.
i would say that the wait for a new Ninja Gaiden game is killing me, but it really isn't. i mean, i've waited since 2005 for a new installment, i'm sure i can wait an extra year before i get agitated. wait, Sigma irritated me...but you get my point. it's not something that's really high on my priority list. but i still wanna get a new DS game...like i posted some time earlier, i'm aiming for an Advance Wars game, and if i can't get that, then i'll look for a game with chocobos. just kidding...or am i?
that covers the updates...i think. yes, that covers things for now. i'll make a new post around the 14th or so, if i don't forget or end up being preoccupied or something like that. later!

week three of college already. quite a nice time, i think, but i could be wrong. i love my schedule because i can sleep in for a bit.
as one might have guessed, i finally got Final Fantasy XII, and i'm on the quest for the Tournesol blade...as well as everything else i need in that game. but while we're on games, i will now state that i have successfully reserved both Ninja Gaiden games, and that my 360 has been fixed...actually, the family got it back last week. only problem is that i'm over 3 hours away via freeway, and i do not have it.
i'm also in a room without a roommate...i have a roommate, but he's a ghost roommate, in that he's registered as my roommate but is never around. it's beautiful.
this semester i'm actually capable of keeping my work-study paycheck, and it's going to be a beauty when it comes around. some of the money will go to fully paying off my reserved games, a larger portion will go to advancing my computer (external hard drive and speakers), and the rest will be for some textbooks, food, and random stuffs. these random stuffs include buying a good Nintendo64 (with controller and game) for around $20, and possibly a game for my DS. i was thinking Advance Wars: Days of Ruin...or Advance Wars: Dual Strike, whichever. of course, that will have to wait for a few more weeks...
i've found inner peace when it comes to Kim, and i'm happy. i'm also halfway through the Akira manga, and that is satisfying...

i've been busy lately, watching the little ones while my sister cleans house...dad has basically moved in to the centerton house, and he's got a new job, but now he works every day.
i got to hang out with Stacy over the break just before christmas, and my 360 died that weekend...i still have to call and get it fixed. it saddens me because i might not be able to play Ninja Gaiden II when i want to...of course, i'll play it after i beat Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword, so there's some time...March is going to be a great month for me. i mean think about it, i'll turn 21, be able to legally buy alcohol, and two Ninja Gaiden games are going to be released around the same time. March rocks.
i go back to Tech at the end of this week, and classes begin on the 14th...so yay on that, i guess. anyways, that's that on things...well, take it easy

Lance and Stacy visited me today! that's right, folks, my Marine buddy and Stace just called out of the blue and chose to visit...well, Lance had just returned from boot camp and has some time off...and one of his choices was to visit me!
i don't care what you think, i'm happy! they showed up around 4 or so, and we played some Halo 3...then Lance started winning. oh, yeah, he got me DOAX2, don't know why, but i'm not gonna complain. after a while, i took them to meet some of my friends (some of the Massie guys, Katy, and Kim), and then we ate dinner...and then we played some more Halo 3...and then my roommate played him (he doesn't think Lance is very good, but Lance hasn't played Halo 3 multiplayer very often)...then we played a juggernaut match, then Stacy and Lance went home...it was fun.
that's about it. i'm done for now. dead day's tomorrow, and finals are next week

okay, so finals are next week. but you get the idea; not fun. i don't even know when most of my finals are...hopefully, they'll disclose that information as early as possible this week. i hope that i do well in my remaining classes.
as for the nasty words...well, at like 4 am this morning, the fire alarm went off, so the three hours of sleep i had didn't help at all...so i'm still kinda groggy.
my RD borrowed my 360 to play some Halo 3 with a friend...they got to the level where the flood first shows up...i wonder what difficulty they were on...
strange thing happened to me on thursday. after failing to help Kim with a project between 2 and 2:30, i didn't hear anything from her until around 5 or so, when she happily proclaimed that she had a job. if i had one of those congratulatory fruit baskets, i'd send her one. it felt weird having her call me to say she had a job...had no idea i was in her circle of people that need-to-know.
it was also raining until a while ago...wish it would rain again...one day.
i've also been playing some Ninja Gaiden to prepare for the spring and Ninja Gaiden II...if only the spring was now...oh well, i've got an idea for a birthday gift i could get, hint-hint.

i don't wanna go outside if i can help it...and i can't, so it sucks to be me. i got a list of stuff to take care of today, the least of which being the withdrawal from a class, as today's the last day to do so before it counts against you. i'll get that done after my Physical Science class...yeah, that sounds good.
thanksgiving went okay...i didn't get to see my dad, but at least i didn't get into any fights with siblings. and i got some of those Hamburger Helper Microwave meals....mmmm, stroganoff....don't look at me funny, i like stroganoff. while on my break, i've discovered that my theory of my niece wanting me to play KHII a lot was right...after completing an atlantica sidequest, she wanted me to do it again...that or help out Pooh Bear...kids. i also got my family into Heroes, so i find that to be a victory.
didn't get contacted by Lance over the break, but oh well.
despite the break being nothing more than a chance for free food and an all-out snooze-fest, it was a good change of pace...for a zombie. well, that's that.

it's less than a week to the day that all fowl live in fear of, that wonderful time of year when show how much you hate other people by stuffing your face. yeah...turkeys...and probably some ham will be included because my folks are like that.
out of boredom, most likely because i don't wanna beat my other games yet, i decided to start another file on Kingdom Hearts II, but on Proud Mode; my roommate almost dropped a brick when he found that out. i laughed, but i'm still gonna complete it on this difficulty because that's the type of crazy i am. besides, i'm probably not gonna get to play much of it during Thanksgiving. don't get me wrong, i'm taking my PS2 back with me, as well as Kingdom Hearts II, it's just that my sister Elora will probably take advantage of the fact that i own it and create her own file...crazy kids and their drugs.
a few days ago, I played some Gears of War, but my roommate is farther along than i am...makes sense, though...only thing is that he's not playing it on hardcore.
i also ran into one of my old art professors yesterday...she taught me art history, and i liked that class, despite having only around a C in it...i think it was a C...regardless, i ran into her and said hello.
i haven't talked to Kim in over a week...that actually makes things easier on me because if i don't have to be around her, i don't have to think too much on how i actually feel. yeah, it might be bad for me, but if i reveal how i feel, it ruins however much friendship there is that exists between us.
and with that done, i shall prepare to eat foods at the cafeteria today...honestly, i think that all school and college cafeterias are part of a government-sanctioned project to breed supersoldiers that can withstand chemical and biological warfare...why else would they feed us food that nasty? but i gotta eat.

so Halloween was okay...not the best in the world, but that's to be expected; i'm 20, and it doesn't contain the overhyper mysticism that it once did. but it was okay, like i said...there was candy (which included pop rocks), driving, dogs, cats, Japanese chicks in fishnet tights, talk of Cthulhu (we didn't get to see him, though...), Japanese chicks in fishnet tights, Japanese chicks in fishnet tights dressed as cats...ah, the memories.
afterwards, my superstitious beliefs kicked in. there's an old mexican folktale concerning the appearance of evil spirits between Halloween and November 2, usually past a certain hour in the night (i forget which hour)...these spirits rattle chains while walking the streets to mark their approach, banging on doors and windows until someone answers. when you first see the spirits, they hold out a candle, and if you take it, the candle turns into a skull and you're cursed. bad mojo. so i'm keeping an eye out, just in case.
that aside, i only had two classes in two days...i accidently overslept yesterday and missed 'folk & square dance', but i have been lacking in sleep, so that makes sense. i also decided to replay Final Fantasy VII, in part because i was bored and in part because the last data set i had got lost with the memory unit that held it. so i'm back on disc 1, about to enter the Gold Saucer for the first time. maybe i should play some IX after a while...sounds like fun, and i wanna work on beefing up my chocobo.
tomorrow my mom is gonna visit me...that'll be fun. may there be food, money, and good times.

Kim's zombie army was down to five at one point, at which i was promoted from 8th zombie to 5th zombie...i was still the last zombie, though...but now, there are more people that want to be zombies again...and i lost track of which zombie i am because one of the new zombies is actually an old zombie...
in other news, my 360 isn't recognizing part of Ninja Gaiden Black...it always freezes up before the Chapter 5 fight with the Gallas...makes me mad...and now i'm playing some good old fashioned Halo...because it makes me feel good.
classes be going good, too.
there really isn't much to talk about this time. i'm trying to convince my mom to visit this weekend, and i still have to watch the first volume of Heroes, which i'm borrowing from my friend Katy.
