I'm just letting everyone know that I'm still alive. I just visit my union every know and then, and mostly off-topic. I guess I'll write a life update. Right now, I have finished my freshman year at college. I've been on summer break for a month and just catching up on video games. Just got Rock Band Unplugged and Final Fantasy VII, good stuff. I'm still looking for a job too. I got one, but they want me to start next month. I'm trying to look for an earlier one, see what happens. Besides that, not much is new. Remember, I'm still alive everyone!

18Dec 08It's been a while since my last blog...wow. Well, college has been keeping me busy. Haven't had much gaming time though, but now I can due to break. My first semester has been great. Lots of new friends, learning Japanese and computer programming. I've learned a lot this semester and its been great. My grades are amazing too, 3.5 GPA. Now that I'm on my break, I have many games to catch up on. Until then, happy gaming!

Sorry to everyone in my union since I havent been active. As you can see, I have my handsful here, and this is why...
Summer program at Marquette University is fun, but lots of work. I got 2 books to finish, 2 or three essays, plus exams all in less than 3 weeks. Even so, I am still enjoying my time here and loving my new laptop! (Thanks AJ!!!)
I finally also signed up for my fall courses. I will be taking Math 80, English 1, Programming in Java, Theology 1 and Japanese 1. Looks like a nice line up for me, and I have lots of time on Tuesday and Thursdays since I have less courses. They are all between 8am and 1pm, so I get the afternoon for hw, video games, hanging out or hopefully...a job. I'm going to be very busy next month, I can feel it. I shall work hard and graduate from college in 4 years!- Posted Jul 15, 2008 9:06 pm PT

25Jun 08The long wait is finally here! The new Megaman game for DS is finally here and it has online battling! If you want to battle, go to my union and post your Friend Codes. Its pretty fun so far and a big improvement from its previous part. I also seem to have leveled up to level 42 now. I'll try to post more, but I'm leaving Saturday to Marquette for a summer program and dont have a laptop yet. Hopefully, I can find a good one for about $500.

6Jun 08I had my graduation today, which was very nice. The only thing that sucked was that the air conditioning was bad, so I was sweating but couldn't do anything since I couldnt' take off my cap on stage. After a while, I got used to it. It was fun, I saw a lot of my old teachers, said good-bye to some friends, took some pics. Now I'm moving on to Marquette University this fall, which should be a fun new chapter in my life. I will try to get some pics later on, once I figure out how to get them on a computer. As for the summer, I might go to a summer program at Marquette for credits. I would rather try to get a job first, since I really need money...but it will be busy nevertheless. These four years have gone by very fast...I can't wait until I graduate from college. That will be an awesome experience.

27May 08Even though this is still my finals week, they are pretty much over for me. Tomorrow I have my Spanish AP Literature test tomorrow and it should be pretty easy. Even if I do bad, it wouldn't hurt me in any way. On Thursday, I am taking my Calculus, Ethics and US History essay. The good news is that I don't have to actually take any of them. I took my Calculus final last week, needed to present a free response problem from the Calculus AP exam to the class. As for my Ethics, since I have an A in the class, I am exempt from taking it. My US History final is another presentation, but I already present last week as well. I'm so happy to be free from hw!!! I will be good until college comes, when I will get tons of hw...until then, time to catch up on my video games!!!

15May 08Hello all, just leaving my comments on the tournament. I just won my first two elimination matches with ease. I got pretty lucky though, since I got all the Smash Balls on my first match. On my second match, one opponent disqualified, and I got 3 Smash Smalls and used them all against my opponent. I managed to win, but I bet that the competition will get tougher later on. I'll be ready to Brawl tomorrow after school, so I will post what happens then.

All I can say is...wow, this is one awesome PSP game! The story, characters, music and battle system were great, I loved it! The only bad thing about it was that it was too easy and that the leveling up system was pretty random. I stayed up until midnight last night playing it and I just loved the final battle. Everyone who has played Final Fantasy VII already knew how Crisis Core was going to end...but even so, the ending left me in tears! This is the first video game that has ever made me cry like that...it was just so sad! Now, I'm going to start doing the sidequests, and maybe even beat the game again to see that sad ending. If you are a FFVII fan and you don't have this game and a PSP, go out and by them now!!! You won't be disappointed.

So the last episode of Blood+ aired last night. It was pretty great, a nice sad, yet happy ending. Blood+ is such an awesome anime series, full of action, romance and some comedy. If there are anime fans out there that haven't seen it, then you are missing out on a great anime!

I just heard amazing news today. I heard back from Marquette University and I have been awarded a full tuition scholarship for 4 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All I have to pay for is room and board, but I might have other scholarships for that! I'm so happy, this made my day! I'm also a finalist for the Gates Millenium scholarship. This scholarship covers my loans for 4 years and they give me a free laptop!!! If I get it, I'm set for college! Everything is going welll, it's great! That's all for now, I'll know if I get the Gates Scholarship on April 15.

Two days after getting the game, I decided to come back to GS and see what's new. I've been so busy with Brawl, it is such a fun game!!! The music, graphics, characters and stages are way better than Melee and it was worth the wait. I just finished the main story a few hours ago, cutscenes were pretty good. I tried to get the game at midnight, but my friend had car troubles so I had to get it Sunday morning after Church. I already clocked about 15 hours in the game, and I still got more to do in that game. I hope to get more done during Spring break next week. I'll post my Friend Code later on so people may battle me. Keep Brawling!

There was this even today for Chicago and Milwaukee students admitted to Marquette. I went with my friend Manuel from school, just to check out the school. So we arrive at the bus station early, but the problem was that we did not know where to go. These two girls walk up to us and ask us if we were going to Marquette. We said yeah, and it turns out that they were lost too. We call the school, they transfer us to the lady in charge of the trip, and it she said that the bus was on the opposite side of the building. It was a 2 hour trip there and it was fun, training in Final Fantasy the whole trip on my PSP. We took of tour of downtown Milwaukee, which is a very nice and quiet city. Then we arrived at the school and took a tour.
After the tour of the campus, we ate lunch, good turkey sandwiches. Then we went to see the Marquette basketball team play a game. It was awesome, never been to a basketball game in my life! Lots of good moves by the team, but the chairs were so small...but I liked it there.
After the game, we went to a pizza place for dinner. I didn't like the pizza though, too much cheese....but it was still fun. Then we got on the bus home, played some more FF and lost against a boss....and got home just in time for Naruto!!!
So the day was pretty fun, and I probably will go to Marquette. Its my second choice, so only time will tell then....- Posted Feb 23, 2008 7:31 pm PT

That's an interesting name for a level...don't know what it means though, but hey, I've reached the 40s!!! I haven't seen that many people near my level on GS, so I feel special now... so anyway, my life has been great. School is fine, video games are awesome, anime is the best...graduating in a few months, fun job, its all good. If only I had money now, since Super Smash Brawl is comes out in 3 weeks!!! Other than that, nothing much is new. Thanks for reading.

Hey everyone, I'm back a changed man!!! The last 3 days were very powerful for me. I can't say what happened since it is confidential, but all I can say is that I have become a better person. I learned that God is always present in my life, and that I am blessed to have Him in my life. I am thankful for all of my friends here on Gamespot. Ronnie, Aj, Pooru, Zero, Eps, Brandy...you are all awesome and thank you for being my friends!!! I'm glad to be back and I hope to be closer with all everyone!

I will not be here for the next 3 days because I am going on a retreat. It should be fun, according to what my classmates have said. It sucks because I won't be able to use any technology so I won't be online. It will just be me, my classmates and God.
In other news, I just beat Devil May Cry 4!!! It was a great game, really fun! I'm trying to beat the Bloody Palace, which is a 100 floor timed dungeon. I just beat 19 floors though, lost on the 20th...need to get stronger. So until then, I will be back in 3 days!- Posted Feb 10, 2008 2:47 pm PT

4Feb 08Today was one interesting day in Chicago. So I went to work today at downtown. It was foggy in the morning, I could barely see the top of the skyscrapers. Then later on that day after work, I got to school and everything was very foggy. I could not see anything besides the lights from the cars. The streets were dangerous so my mom had to be very careful. Then later on, we were almost home. My mom makes a turn, and we see a car on fire at the end of the block. My mom tried to go on reverse, but there was traffic. Then we heard the car pop and more flame appeared. Fortunatly, the fire truck was there and it put out the fire right away. My mom took a different route, and we could still smell the smoke. Then we say an ambulance heading to the fire's direction, so someone might have gotten hurt. That's all I know that happened....one crazy day.

I was wondering what the fate of EA's Marvel game was. Many of you might not know that I was a tester for this game when I worked at EA Chicago. I'm really sad to hear that the game I worked with for 3 months was terminated. This game showed promise and it was actually pretty fun. I'm going to miss my memories with this game. I wonder how my old co-workers are feeling because of this news. We all worked so hard and now it is gone. Looks like this is an obstacle that I will continue to face when I work in the video game industry...
Edit: I forgot to mention my grades. My cumulitive GPA went up to a 3.67. It's pretty good, but my friend has a 3.91....I'll never be that smart, but I'm happy with mine. This semester, I got a 3.89 GPA. This is my highest GPA for a semester ever, and I am very proud of that. Looks like my hard work paid off!
