There I was, peacefully half-sleeping on my bed, and then everything shook. I shrugged it off, thinking it was only going to last a second or few, and stayed in bed.
Then, after three seconds of seeing my room thrash around violently, I got out of my sleepy reverie, yelped, and stumbled out of bed, and finally got to the doorway.
Anyways, the Earthquake was a 5.8, and lasted 20 seconds, according to the news.
I got the full force of the Earthquake, cuz the center of the quake was in the city I live. Isn't that great :]
http://www.cnn.com/2008/US/07/29/earthquake.ca/
'Janos said he has lived in southern California for about 12 years, and "I can tell you this is probably the best one we have had."' lmao.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v299/princessangrypeppers/fishquake2.jpg
UPDATE: Okay, so apparently the earthquake's scale was later revised to 5.4.

Dude. I did NOT need to know about Dumbledore's infatuation with Grindelwald AT ALL. Dumbledore's like, 100 years old, so the idea of him having ANY sexuality at all is disturbing.
AND can you imagine the fanfiction thats going to come up?

Also, what the heck was up with the Beach? Why were all of them acting like psychologists at the end of the episode? And why does that guy's forehead make things explode? And why doesn't Zuko lighten up?
I'm hoping the fires will get a teeny bit closer to my school so we don't have to go for a couple days. j/k
The fires are actually kinda annoying. Everything smelt like smoke today. Also, everything looked orange.

Yep, I got a Siamese Fightin' fish last week. He is SO cute

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v299/princessangrypeppers/niko.jpg
(While he looks bright blue in the picture, his body is actually dark blue, and he has light blue-green fins)
He eats really violently. It's really funny. He's like, this cute fish and all, and then you put a little fish flakes in the bowl and he eats them as if he's trying to eat a live animal or something

Also, he's a scaredy cat. I put a mirror up to the bowl and whille betta fish are SUPPOSED to get really aggressive at their reflection, thinking its a rival fish, he just swam away and hid behind the greek columns xD

Seriously, I wish I were born a racist. Because not having been like, brainwashed all my life, I know that racism is stupid and all, and could never be racist (I mean, blatantly racist, cuz everyone has a little tiny bit of racism in them, rite?).
Why would I want to be racist, you ask?
Because, can you imagine the kind of self-esteem a racist person has? Not that I don't already have self esteem, but if I were racist, I'd think I was part of the FRIGGEN SUPERIOR RACE. You can't have more self esteem than that.
Also, if u get into a fight with someone, unless they're the same race as you, even if you lose, you'll win just by being born into the SUPERIOR RACE.

Yeah, random, i know. It was just something that dawned on me after reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows for the 2nd time. You know, the pure blood stuff.

So, haven't been on in a while and I felt like making a blog...
I was kinda dissapointed with the Awakening. It felt way too rushed. Also, I didn't like how it was drawn. I think the show was drawn better in the 1st season.
Katara can bend water waaaay too good. It shoulda taken a team of waterbenders to be able to make that huge mist surround the ships, not one 14 year old girl.
And Azula didn't look like Azula in that one scene near the end.
The avatar party was cool, though. lol.
I made AVATAR COOKIES

I designed all of them except the creepy Toph one on the bottom, for which my friend, Shay, is responsible

So I was thinking about the live-action avatar movie, and a few thoughts came to me.
First off, are all the actors going to be asian? I have no problem with that, it's just some character don't look asian at all. Like most of the WT characters. Most people would say that Katara could be played by a Philipino girl or something, but she doesn't really look Philipino to me. Sokka kinda looks Philipino, though.
Ty Lee looks completely white. But it would be odd to have everyone be asian and then have one white acrobat come outa nowhere...lol
Also, I think Sokka and Zuko would be ugly. I saw this one dude at target with a warrior's wolf tail or w/e the heck its called, and it looked like crap.
And third degree burns prolly don't look so sexy in real life.
Lastly, would the eye color be the same? Cuz my friend once wore golden eye contacts to school and she looked pretty creepy, so I'm imagining this realistic picture of zuko with an ugly scar on his face, creepy glowy gold eyes, and fire shooting out of his ears. Pretty scary.
I guess they could just give firebenders hazel eyes in the movie, though.
Or maybe gold eyes wouldn't look as creepy in a movie as they do in real life? (Oh and I don't mean the natural type of goldish color some people with hazel eyes have, I mean gold gold eyes lol)
Oh and I think Jet will be hot in the movie.
Ozai too.
Oh and this, this is hilarious:
http://youmakemetouchyourhandsforstupidreasons.ytmnd.com/
Watch it. You'll laugh. and make sure you have your speakers on, cuz the dramatic voice reading it is what makes it funny

at Speedzone right now, for my friend's cincuenera (sp?) but I decided at the last minute that I didn't want to go. Idk why. I prolly shoulda gone, seeing as how Speedzone is so god damn expensive and my friend was going to pay for me. But oh well.
I still have Knott's Berry Farm to look forward to later this month (and for those of you who are not familiar with Californian amusement parks, Knott's is not really a farm), and Knott's Scary Farm next month (which is what Knott's is called on particular days of October when it gets all Halloweened up. I've never been to it before, but it's supposed to be amazing).
oh and school's awesome. Whichever one of you guys told me that sophomore year is the best year, I think you may be right

So my mom just randomly gave me 500 dollars (no, that doesn't happen often
) and now I'm faced with a dilemma--what do I spend it on?I first wanted to get a new TV for my room, but then I thought, oh Mass Effect is coming out soon, I should get a 360. Or maybe a PS3. I think I'm leaning more on getting the 360, but I want you guys' input.
What do you think I should get? Vote for a PS3, 360, a TV, or something completely different

So I was going through some old albums of mine and 2 things dawned on me. The first thing was that I was one super cute kid, and the other one was how old I am now.
Most people wouldn't consider 14 to be that old, but when I think of my first day of school being nearly a decade ago, that makes me feel pretty old.
A lot of times I've wished I could like, start my life over again. Except with the intelligence and experience that I have now. I wouldn't want tostart over if I had to learn anything all over again, cuz I'd prolly make the same mistakes I made the first time.
Also, I'd want to start life when I was 2 or 3 (whenever you start eating actual food and not formula or w/e the crap babies eat) because I think getting breastfed when you have the mind of a 14 year old would be traumatizing.
The cool thing about starting over is that you could be like, a total child prodigy (or even more of a child prodigy, in my case
).You could totally blow people away with your incredible intelligence (even if you aren't too intelligent right now, I'm pretty sure everyone reading this is a lot smarter than a 2 year old, but then again, that's not saying much)
The only drawback I can see is that you'd have to do everything over again, but at least you know whats coming.
School's tomorrow

(I'm actually kinda excited about it, but tradition entails that whenever I say school's coming up, I have to say it in an inauspicious voice, or in this case, have it followed by a frowning smiley

We got into a discussion in the AG chatroom about what Hogwarts House would correspond to the 4 elements of Avatar. It was dubbed the nerdiest conversation ever by Starreh, but I'm pretty sure we've talked about way nerdier things

Now, if you go based on animals, I think they would correspond like this....
Slytherin- Fire...You know, cuz snakes are similar to dragons...
Hufflepuff- Earth, cuz as Cisal pointed out, they both are affiliated with badgers (or badger moles)
Ravenclaw- Air, cuz...ravens fly through the air
Gryffindor- Water, by default lol.
If we go on colors it would be...
Slytherin- Earth (green)
Hufflepuff- Air (yellow)
Ravenclaw- Water (blue)
Gryffindor- Fire (red and gold)
Now, if we actually go on attributes, I think it would be
Slytherin- Fire, cuz they both think they're ability makes them superior
Hufflepuff- Water, cuz idk, the waterbenders seem pretty loyal.
Ravenclaw- Air, cuz since the Air Nomads are all peace-loving and don't really focus on warfare, they probably have more time to focus on their studies lol.
Gryffindor- Earth, cuz they're tough.
So, what Hogwarts House do you think each element belongs in?

When I was picking my classes for this year back in 9th grade, I picked health as one of my electives. Because health is only a 1 semester long course, my counselor told me to pick an ROP class.
As all of them were more or less weird, I randomly picked criminal justice, cuz that seemed like the easiest one.
So, I went to Pre-registration on Tuesday, and my 2 electives for the first semester are....Criminal Justice and Forensics lol...I didn't even pick forensics.
I was still happy with my schedule for the most part, though, because I start at 2nd period this year! yay. No more not getting any sleep

Also, I got PE as my first class AGAIN. I think they did it just to mock me. I can't run a freaking mile ten minutes after I wake up, for god's sake.
The only good thing about having PE as ur first class, is that you can be a tad late every day

It's so innapropriate when commercials blatantly flaunt their self proclaimed back to S#@!!% products. I for one, will change the channel when said commercials come on.
We all know what horrible fate awaits us at the end of this month, why does stupid Sears have to rub it in?

LMAO so yeah, I ended up getting my book at midnight, like planned

There were all these hardcore HP fans there, and a lot of people dressed up, too
Like these guys...
This guy:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v299/princessangrypeppers/MM2.jpg
LMAO, he was turned the other way so I called out "DEATH EATER!" and when he saw I had a camera, started doing dorky wand movements. It was hilarious.

This Voldemort guy, was also hilarious. Me and my friends, Vahida, Jennifer, and Shay were sitting between these two bookshelves, waiting for midnight to come, and he passes by, Vahida shouts out "Voldemort!", instinctively takes out her wand and shouts AVADA KEDAVRA! but Voldemort was too fast for her and took out his wand first, it was hilarious. She got humbled

So, everyone there had reserved those books, and the way it worked was that the people with the gold bracelets went first to get their books, starting with the people that had A on their bracelets, B, C, and so on, then the blue bracelets, and then red.
So finally, they called for Gold E and we went to line up to get our book, and we wait, and we WAIT.
But the line doesnt move, and we here them calling for G people, which is of course, a lot after E. So we go to this worker, and tell her that, and she's like "Geez, you were supposed to get it a while ago" and instructs us to go to the front of the line, and if anyone objects to just show them our bracelets.
So we go, and we tell the worker in the front why we're cutting, and he asks the lady in the front of the line if she minds that we're cutting.
This lady was elderly, so I figured she'd be like, "Oh go right ahead"
Instead, she nods maliciously and says that she would mind. We protest, saying that we've been waiting forever, and she says that she's been waiting in line just as long, which is retarded, because our reservation bracelets were called before hers, so if she was waiting as long as us it was because she's stupid.
Plus, she was at the front of the line, and there were 4 cash registers, so we would only take up 2 of them. If we were a large group that would be one thing, but we were two people who, if she didnt let us cut, would have to go all the way to the back of the super long line.
So finally, she's like, "Fine, I'll let you cut just so I don't start a riot!" Now I'm pissed at her, because I hardly think that two people asking her to let them cut because the stupid workers directed them to the wrong line and they should have gotten the books a long time ago a riot, but I'm too relieved that we didn't have to go back to the end of the line to care.
So we get our books. I started to read it just this morning, as I was busy yesterday, and I'm now finished. It's spectacular, that's all I have to say.
Absolutely AMAZING.

Out of nowhere my brother asks me if I wanted to go see the Harry Potter movie at the nearby theatre in imax 3-D. Of course, I said yes.
We caught the one at 1:00 am. It wasn't too crowded, it being so late and all. We enter the theatre, and the place was like, freaking huge. I mean, I've been to imaxes before, and I know they're supposed to be really big and all, but this one was REALLY big.
And it like, had this weird pit in the front, surrounded by railings so that people dont like, fall to their deaths and all. It looked like it was used for sacrifice ceremonies.
The movie started with it just showing off the 3D effects, with some like, abstract shapes jumping outat you, with loud suspenseful movies. It was entertaining, really.
Then the actual movie started with the whole Harry/Dudley thing. I thought it was going to be really stupid, with how Dudley dressed and how the gang looked and all, but it was actually a really good opening. The actor for Dudley really did a good job portraying him, the whole vacant stare thing was a nice touch.

There were a lot of good actors in it--Bellatrix Lestrange (her crazy, maniacal laughter really added to the movie, not kidding), Luna Lovegood, Lucius Malfoy, Tonks, Sirius Black (even though he wasn't hot), Seamus, Zacharias Smith, the random dude in the DA with the gorgeous [or georgeous, as Kels would say
], long locks of hair, even Dumbeldore was really good.I didn't like how Dumbledore was done in the fourth movie. He didn't act like Dumbledore at all. But Dumbledore was done really good in this one, so Dumbledore is redeemed.

Even Hermione was very good. There were some parts that she still does that annoying eyebrow thing, but she's still improved a lot.
I didn't like Shaklebolt. I mean, the character they gave him was okay, but when I think of a dark wizard fighting man named Kingsley Shaklebolt, I imagine someone entirely different
My favorite scenes...
1) The ministry scene--with the 3D effects, it was VERY surreal. Like, they were all up in your face, fighting and all. VERY cool.
2) The Fireworks scene was very--I don't use this word often--magnificent.
3) The Grawp scene--very funny, very well done.

The 3D effects:
The movie was only 3D at the end (starting when they fly the thestrals to the ministry), but they went all out. It was SO awesome. When the thestral were flying, I got a silent giggling fit (I laugh when I'm nervous)
The thing was like, roaring in your face. It was terrifying, but REALLY cool.
Also, the fight scenes were SO crazy in 3D, especially when all that stuff comes crashing down on Dumbledore, Harry, and Voldemort.
MCR approves of this movie

Now, make sure you comment. If you're shy or don't know what to say, just copy and paste this template:

Ignore the title.
This blog is for my analyses of the Harry Potter Movies (except the5th one, which I will see the day before the book comes out, prior to getting the book)
I liked the 1st and second one. They were criticized for being too much like the actual books, but I think it's better to be too much like the books, than to be too much not like the books. The acting of the main characters (the trio) was pretty bad, but I still liked it.
I also liked the third one, the acting was a lot better, as were the video quality and while it was not too much like the book, it was also loyal to it.
The only criticism I have for it is that the actor they chose for Sirius Black was not hot

The fourth movie I really didn't like. They skipped the quidditch match at the world cup, which, since they spent so much time on actually getting to the quiditch world cup, should have been included. Danielle and Rupert's acting was improved, as was Emma's, but whenever she was talking, it was kinda distracting. Not, not cuz she's attractive (I'm a girl, lol). Because whenever she talks, her eyebrows go UP and DOWN in rapid progression, so every time she's talking, I'm just in awe of her ability to keep moving those brows.

They also spent too much time on the Yule Ball.
If I were the director, I would have made the yule ball and the quidditch world cup scenes shorter.
And there's also a bunch of little things I didn't like, like how Hermione's hair is gorgeous when its supposed to be frizzy (except for the yule ball), and I don't like Ron's hair in that movie for that matter, either

Also, Sirius Black wasn't sexy in the movies...Nor was Remus sexy in the 3rd movie...gosh, who picked the actors?

I'll review the 5th movie as soon as I see it...

So, as some of you know, we're going to have a cutest-pet contest here.
The contest, as far as I know, is going to be on Pink's blog.
And as I currently don't own a pet, here's my imaginary pet for the contest

As the title of the blog states, his name is Lord Nikomedes the Unpleasant, which you can probably tell from the picture, fits him perfectly

He enjoys: swimming and long swims down the beach
Things he doesn't like include: sharks, Nick's dog, and sometimes, me

His favorite color is orange, followed by blue.
He is slightly over-weight, and is on a strict diet, so no one offer him any donuts or other treats, no matter how hard it is to resist those big, black eyes

He's been known to take on a Japanese fighting fish armed only with his fists (er...fins), so don't stick ur fingers in the tank when he's mad!
Despite his flaws, he's a great pet and works well with people

So, make sure you vote for Lord Nikomedes

(I'll provide a link for you here once the contest starts)
