Well this is my first blog ever so please cut me some slack.
I want to talk about how games seem to be less satisfiying as they are supposed to be getting better, I find that series games have three or four years where they offer nothing new maybe a little tweek here and there but nothing that sets it apart from the other previous years. The gamers are faithfull but yet have to wait for years to get the rewards by which time they or maybe it's just me feel abit cheated.I can give many examples FIFA being the biggest culprit ok it offers a slight variation in game types but the graphics have been the same for at least five years they take a slight step forward with one touch control then take a step back by making it less part of the game the next year. Fifa is slowly dying and pro evo is going the same way ok pro evo is hard to control and the ball is not stuck to your feet but the graphics are something out of sega mega drive era, and again it is the same basic game types year on year.
other examples are Smackdown v Raw years ago you had a continuing seasons no getting to wrestlemania and having to start over the same old story lines, ok i realise they do repeat the story lines alot on WWE but they do have many many more story lines than the half dozen that there is every year on the game, it would be good if you could start as a roookie working indy circuit trying to get to the main show there is such a diverse game they could make but it seems they like to just give us the same old thing year in year out.
It happens with nearly all games with maybe the exception of final fantasy ok save the world is allways the goal but the story's are allways different and immersive. I would like a games developer to consider what gamers would like to see in a series, you have a successful game and you build on it the next year not give us the same game with slight differences.
