San Francisco, CA (July 14, 200 -- Flagship Studios has announced today that despite rumors to the contrary, the company is still operating.

"It is with deep regret that I must announce that Flagship Studios has laid off most employees. However, the core management and founding team members are still at Flagship." said Bill Roper, CEO of Flagship Studios. "The past five years have been an incredible experience for us, but unfortunately, we couldn't sustain the size of the company any longer."

Flagship Studios owns the rights to all its technology and IP, including Hellgate: London and Mythos. Due to the current situation, Flagship will not be taking any new subscribers for Hellgate: London, and all current subscriptions will not be billed.

Flagship wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to those that have supported the company and games over the past five years.

So it's been awhile since I have made a blog post here on gamespot. Been kinda busy and all. But this blog it to inform those of you who do not know about this new game called Zday.

What is Zday?

Z Day is an Online 3D FPS Zombie Survival game (also known as a "MMOFPS"). You and every other player is placed into a city overrun by the infected aka zombies. The infected can run, faster than you can meaning you alone, are no match for the strong, fast infected.

You will be able to barricade doors in order to stop, or at least try and stop the infected from getting you and your buddies. But be aware that the infected can break through the barricade, and destroy the door.

You must also eat and watch your strength levels, if you carry too much, you will move slowly. So leaving things behind in your safe house is essential. You will be able to drop weapons and items anywhere meaning you can store them in your chosen spot.

If you do not eat, you will become very weak and slow and start to die. If you happen to get infected, your blood will begin to turn black and you will also get slow and weak from the virus. You must find an anti-virus to cure the infection, before it's too late.

You will be able to choose from either a Police Officer or a Civilian. As a police officer, you will start with a Baton and a firearm. As a civilian, you will start with only a baseball bat, but will be able to carry more items than the police. So you will want a balance between the two for supply runs.

Use your survival instincts, build a survivors' base, form a search party to go out on supply runs for food, wood, anti-viruses, weapons, more survivors etc. Gather up, meet friends and work together for survival...Teamwork is a must...
