Buffy The Vampire Slayer Omnibus Vol One great graphic novel
A good graphic novel for any Buffy fans Scott Allie describes as It's a reprint of sorts from original Buffy origins story but has extra stories starring Dru and Spike at the Worlds Fair, an appearance from Pike and even Dawn before she was in the show. He says "The stories in this volume take place before Buff Summers ever reached Sunnydale". I am no Buff expert but having watched the show on and off till the end the graphic novel was a nice bonus to see an alternative view of Buffy's beginnings. In certain cases you get more from the novel than what you get from this as Scott puts it the "loose ends" are solved. There is also a further examination of Buffy's time in mental institution that was part of the episode "Normal Again". This is one of four volumes of which you can read more info here probably most Buffy have read it but I sure haven't. When the series ended in 2003, I stopped watching Buffy and was delighted that they comic books/graphic novels this Voume starts by what Amazon.com 2007. You can read more here;

Anyhow continuity aside, speaking from a general point of view this volume even if you've never watched Buffy will give you action and entertainment that by the end you know Buffy's mission is. There is also an appearance by Angel here in a great story. Anyways, this thing is a great read, lots of action, the artwork is superb and the dialogue is dark, funny and hip. Buy it, read it, borrow it but get it. Enjoy the scans.

Crappy forum deletes its disgraceful threads by its loser owner and users LMAO
This was funny the cherry top on the sundae if you will. The loser owner, crappy forum I exposed as a joke has become even a bigger joke which I didn't think possible. It seems that once again, the losers on the Wrestling Asylum were arguing about the state of this toilet site (no surprise there as I've posted in my previous blog exposing the inept abusive moderators). So this time either out of desperation, stupdity, wiping out the previous disgraces, the loser owner Douglas Nunnally decided to delete all threads, posts etc of the site. He also changed the design of the site and LMAO it has to be the worst design and graphics I've seen on any board!!!! Even my one year old nephew could do better!!
Most of it is dark and unreadable (then again this might be a blessing as most of this forum were useless flame wars by the users I've mentioned). Anyhow, to me it was just another wonderful moment where I relish how right I was about a couple of losers, stalkers who in their best effort embartassed themselves and no one else (making up phony account, stalking me, harassing others). Gladly and proudly their offensive messages and their failed attempts at stalking me at this site was stopped by the sfaff and I have to give my utmost thanks for that. - Posted Aug 20, 2008 6:31 am PT

Went to a movie screening of The Soloist with Robert Downey Jr.
Based on a true story and a book The Soloist is a special movie that might end up getting serious Academy Award attention. This story takes place in Los Angeles and has a lot to say about LA (Namely dirty politics, the homeless problem specifically in Skid Row but can be atttributed to the whole state, and mental illness) it was a must see. The fact that there were two good actors in the lead Jamie Fox and Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man) was enough for me to see it. The movie is about a homeless musician with schizophrenia. At least that's part of the story, this a movie that has a story within a story. We learn about the brilliance of Nathaniel Ayers Jr. pictured here played by Fox:

Ayers for whatever reason developed schizophrenia but was a brilliant cello and violin player with a love for Beethoven. LA Times journalist, Steve Lopez (Downey) does something that not many journalists do he reaches to Ayers for help seeing his brilliant playing (not too mention the circumstances which he lives in which are to say the least inhumane but no one gives a damn about except the homeless shelter Ayers visits.)
Here is a picture of the Steve Lopez:
Lopez really doesn't know what he is getting himself into as Ayers schizophrenia often poses numerous problems not just for Ayers haalth but any potentital rewarding job opportunities. Both Fox and Downey play these parts like they really know them. Like I said a story within a story, we see the homeless problem in Skid Row (although really all of California like other states has a big homeless problem). We see REALLY NO ASSISTANCE for the homeless. Then the Mayor makes some speech promising to help the homeless but as with most politicians most of their promises are crap as we see a sweep (really a beatdown of the homeless by the pigs, I mean cops of LA). This is something that is done in other cities for whatever reason (I guess maybe the mentality is if they get rid of the homeless and move them out of the area no one will realize there is a problem).
Anyhow, I really liked the director's guts (Joe Wright) to show not just Nathaniel's story but the story of other homeless people and poor people of the area. This could have been one of those garbage "hollywood ending" movies where everybody gets saved but Joe Wright presents the real consequences and results of situations.
Anyways, it's not coming till November according to IMDB but when it does go see it if you are a serious movie viewer.
