Yeah, I turned 16 a few days ago, and I have to say, I love being older FINALLY get to wear make-up!

Got Wii Sports Resort for my birthday, and I'm thinking of using my remaining money to go out and buy Band Hero, but seeing as how it cost $200 with the instruments, I might go out and buy the Rock Band kit and save money that way.

Oh, and I'm applying for a job right now, so wish me luck!

Friday night me and my brother went crazy with spending money... We spent about $90 on 4 games (Metroid Prime Trilogy, Professor Laton and the Elysian Box) and then spent even more on Star Wars books

On Saturday, me and my sister did a competition. It was sooooo hard, but if we make it past this forst round, we can go to DC and win $100,000. Thats right. $100,000. Well, she can win $50,000, since she's in a different age group. They are going to announce the top 100 people in each age group that are going to be going to DC on Friday. So, I'll either have to study like crazy for another month, or else I'll be able to relax and not have to look at that stuff ever again

On Sunday, my family went to the parade of homes, and I saw the car of my dreams.

    My Dream Car

I plan on getting one sometime... just don't know when that will be

Oh, and I started a Constitutional Law course today, and I have to say, its very interesting. Makes me want to reconsider what I'm going to major in...

My friend Chris is leaving in a couple of days to move up to Tennessee

I grew up with him, my sister went to school with him, and I even worked with him for a short time. And now... he's leaving.

And I never told him how much I was going to miss him.

I meant to, I really did. But Elliot... needed time with Chris more than I did. So I just gave him a quick hug last night and left. And now I will never see him again.

Seems everyone is leaving these days. Ashley left, Chris is leaving, and Blanca physically removed herself from our friendship. Its times like these that I question why God allows people to leave, when you really need them.

Well, my aunt is... okay now, I guess.

But, my grandma isn't On Saturday we had to take her to the ER because she couldn't move AT ALL because her hip was causing her pain. The doctor didn't find anything... but, they rarely ever do She's 76, and has something that starts with an O and has something to do withbones... not even going to attempt to spell it.

Going to the tobyMac concert tomorrow at Six Flags, then to the rodeo my church is putting on Saturday, then a Third Day concert Sunday night.

Oh, and Blanca(my bestest friend IRL)well... lets just say I'm probably NEVER speaking to her again. She... lets just say she hurt me real bad, and didn't even look me in the eyes last time I saw her. She didn't even acknowledge me when I told her HAPPY 16thBIRTHDAY!!! (she didn't even invite me to her party, either )

All of this because she can't stand Stephen...

Yeah, so my parents were at the Hospital until 1 this morning, and they didn't get home until 2 this morning... and they forgot their house key!

Guess who had to stay up until they got home?

    Me.

So, I watched the Psych marathon all night, and they showed 2 of my favorite episodes (Scary Sherry: Bianca's Toast, Tuesday the 17th) and then I watched Food Network until my parents got home.

Oh, and my dog nearly gave me a heart attack because it was completely dark in my house, and I was watching Psych right when the ghost appears... and my dog sneezes

Lets just say, it was an interesting night

My mom bought Wii Fit today because Costco had it on sale... and it seems ok so far. I wish she hadn't gotten it until next week though... because I borrowed 2 games from Stephen (Super Mario Galaxy(replaying, since I sold my copy), Super Paper Mario) and now the wii is going to be hogged. MY wii is going to be hogged. Or I should say, is being hogged.

He might not be getting the games back anytime soon...

Oh, and I finally passed level 20 on JamLegends.

Anyways, a lot has been going on in these past fewmonths. My grandpa getting diagnosed with skin cancer, my mom training for a new job, and my dad getting more business.

Lucky for me, I'm getting a new laptop for school...

Oh, and if you ever want to get ahold of me for one reason or another, I spend all day on this site here.

Its a great site, with a bunch of awesome people. But... it would be better if some of the people from here were on it...

Well, at least most of it. 11 in. of it. But, its going to a good cause. Locks of Love.

Its now just a tiny bit longer than my chin, and still as straight as can be

This is the shortest its ever been in my whole life... and I shocked everyone with how short it was.

My dad was speechless, Stephen... was shocked. And... all my friends just stood and stared.

Oh, and Brett restarted up the drama team... and its all middle schoolers now. I shouldn't have to say anything else.

Imagine this - a former high-ranking and well-respected government official telling your children that they know something you don't. Is this Cold War-era Soviet Union? Nope. It's Maryland, and the official is former Vice President Al Gore.

In audio aired on the Feb. 4 "Glenn Beck Radio Program," Gore was advising school children on the eve of the inauguration of President Barack Obama, presumably at the University of Maryland Presidential Youth Inaugural Conference. He said that it's up to them to question their parents on conventional wisdom in order to overcome the challenges of modern America, one of them being global warming.

"But I'm thinking back a long way to when I was your age and the civil rights revolution was unfolding," Gore said. "And we kids asked our parents and their generation, 'Explain to me again why it's OK for the law to officially discriminate against people because of their skin color?' And parent's try to tell their kids the right thing, you know? Usually, I do. And when our parent's generation couldn't answer that question, that's when the law started to change."

Gore's solution to overcoming this - children, like the ones he was addressing on Jan. 19, should question their parents because according to him, this is an era of rapid change and children are the ones who will make it possible for society to adapt.

"There are some things about our world that you know that older people don't know," Gore continued. "Why would that be? Well, in a period of rapid change, the old assumptions sometimes just don't work anymore because they're out of date. New knowledge, new understandings are much more widely available, sometimes to young people who are in school who aren't weighed down with the old flawed assumptions of the past."

Gore also pointed to Galileo's discovery of the earth revolving around the sun, as opposed to vice versa, as one of these new ideas that was accepted by younger people challenging conventional wisdom. According to the former vice president, these new ideas and ways of thinking would be instrumental in tackling three biggest threats he said that were facing our country - the economic crisis, the national security crisis and his pet issue - the climate crisis.

"The third crisis is one I talk about a lot - the climate crisis, global warming," Gore continued. "What's that all about? Most of you know what it's all about, so I'm not going to dwell on it. But basically, because we've been relying so heavily on oil and coal, we've been burning larger and larger amounts of it in ways that pollute the atmosphere - not just of a city, not just of a region, but the entire world. And carbon dioxide, CO2, the principle global warming pollution, is different from the kind of pollution we're used to thinking about."

Gore reiterated that the old ideas of another generation must give way to those of a younger generation, and the issue of global warming was no exception.

"Today, Jan. 19, 2009 - we will put 70 million tons of this global warming pollution into the atmosphere," he continued. "A lot of people think it's OK. They go outside, they look up at the sky. The sky seems like a huge place. How could we possibly have any impact on it? Just like they used to go out on the ground and look at the sun rise in the East and set in the West and conclude that the sun went around the earth - they were wrong then, and anybody who thinks it is OK to put all this pollution up there is wrong today. We have to change it."

"The entire North Polar Ice Cap is melting," Gore continued. "The sea level is rising, the storms are getting stronger. You know the story. It has to be dealt with and you have to help us deal with it because you - you're not encumbered with these old assumptions that it's OK to put all the pollution up there.

Beck had his own reaction to the Goreacle's philosophies, and explained them on his radio broadcast to his audience.

"'There are some things that you know that older people don't know?'" Beck said. "That is - and I'm just getting started. That is one of the most incredible things I have ever heard. 'There are some things that you know that older people don't know.' He is pitting the youth of this nation against their parents. We have a former vice president of the United States, a man who claims to have been President of the United States saying to the best and the brightest 12-year-olds that, 'You know better than your parents,' that 'you don't have to listen to your parents on things because they just don't know.'"

Beck made his own analogies to past regimes and how they used youth to mold what was considered the mindset on issues of the day.

"I'm trying to think where else this has been done - Soviet Russia, Nazi, Germany, Mussolini's Italy," Beck said. "In fact, the Nazis took an extra step. Not only did they indoctrinate the kids and tell them you're probably right, you know but your parents don't; in fact, here's the next step: Why don't you tell us what your parents are telling you. Are we having the new Hitler youth? Is that what this is? The new Hitler youth? I'm sorry, that's so politically incorrect - the new green guard. Man your station, 12-year-olds, your parents just don't know."

    Hello all!

Sorry I haven't been active, but I'm trying to complete school ASAP, and thats taking up all my time.

Anyways, my church put on FREE concert featuring Jeremy Camp on Sunday.

    IT WAS SO TOTALLY AWESOME!!!

I love seeing him in concert... and he's one of the few people who actually are in it for Christ.

Over 5000 people showed up, and over 2000 had to be turned away because of inadaquate seating. If the weather wasn't so cold, we would have set up big screens outside for people to watch the concert on. But, no one wants to stand for 2 hours in freezing cold temperatures

It was also broadcasted live over the internet on my churche's website.

    Pretty cool, right?

Anyways, me and Stephen are going out on a date tonight... I can't wait! Finally, we're going out ALONE with NO PARENTS!
