Bioshock: Infinite, one of the greatest games ever created

I'm going to keep this short and simple; Bioshock: Infinite was a masterpiece. It was everything I hoped it would be, and it didn't dissapoint in any shape or form. Every time you think you know what's going to happen, the game throws a crazy twist at you. And the ending....oh my god the ending.

I'm already playing the game again on 1999 Mode, and I'm liking it even more than the first time I played it. All the little touches here and there actually make sense to me now. It's amazing how much attention the game developers paid to details.

I'm not going to go into any more details because I am definitely going to write a review for this game. All I have to say is this: you HAVE to play Bioshock: Infinite. It's memorable, thought provoking, beautiful to look at, fun to play, and all in all a wonderfully crafted game.

Now if you excuse me, I'm going to go back and play some more Bioshock: Infinite....

My most anticipated game of 2013

    Hey guys!

Sorry I haven't been active on GS lately, I've been very busy with school work. This is just a VERY short blog about my most anticipated game of the year (hopefully I'll have time to play it). So let's get to it.

My most anticipated game of 2013 is....

    Bioshock: Infinite

Bioshock 1 is my favorite FPS game of all time. The game was perfect in almost every aspect: from its original and deep storyline to its fun and innovative gameplay. The only issue with the game were the endings; they definitely could have been a little bit more developed. Other than that small nitpick, the game was excellent.

Bioshock 2 however was very disappointing to me. It was more of the same in terms of gameplay and atmosphere, the story was forgettable, and more importantly, it didn't have the same impact on me that the first game did.

Despite being letdown by the second installment, I am very excited for Bioshock: Infinite. I have high hopes for Infinite mainly because Ken Levine, the mastermind behind the first Bioshock, is the director of this game as well (he didn't direct Bioshock 2). I'm also glad that the game takes place in a different location, Rapture was becoming stale. Based on what I've seen from the trailers and gameplay footages, the game is going to have a lot to offer. Let's hope that it won't disappoint.

Feel free to leave a comment Let me know what your most anticipated game of 2013 is!

The Hobbit was a masterpiece, don't pay attention to the negative reviews!

Believe it or not, I've never seen any of the Lord of The Rings movies. I always hear how amazing they are, but I've never been able to watch them. That being said, when I watched the trailer for The Hobbit last year, I thought it looked amazing. Therefore, I was very excited to see The Hobbit in the theatres. But then the first reviews for the movie came out....and let's just say the scores weren't as high as I thought they would be. I was shocked, and a little bit skeptical. However, despite my skepticism, I went to the movie theatre today and saw the movie with my friend. To my surprise, the movie turned out to be amazing. It not only was the best movie I've seen all year, but also one of the greatest movies ever made. Well, one of my favorites at least! Maybe I loved it so much because I haven't seen the Lord of The Rings trilogy and this was my first experience with these characters and this universe. Whatever the case is, I think the negative points that the critics made in their reviews were unjustified.

First of all, despite what many critics say, the pacing is NOT uneven. The first hour of the movie is obviously a little bit slow, but it was a perfect introduction to the characters, and did a great job in explaining the back story. These things HAD to be explained; otherwise the movie would have felt rushed. Which brings me to the next complaint I've heard: there were some unnecessary scenes in the movie. I couldn't disagree more. Every single scene in the movie served a purpose. Even the ones that seemed unnecessary at first led up to important story elements later on. Plus, the acting was perfect. While Ian McKellen (Gandalf), Martin Freeman (Bilbo), and Richard Armitage (Thorin, the king of Dwarves) gave the best performances, all the other actors did a brilliant job in giving life to their characters and making them badass and believable

Another complaint that I've heard is about a wizard character in the movie (cant remember his name); people say he's VERY annoying, and some even compare him to Jar Jar Binks from Star Wars. While I understand why people might have this mindset about a character like him, I could still counter this argument by saying that this "annoying" character was only in the movie for ten minutes. Also, he played an important role; his short story arc led to something significant later on.

The Hobbit was beautiful to look at, it had amazing cinematography, the music was epic (very memorable by the way, I'm still humming the main theme), the story was perfect (no plot holes), the dialogue was very clever and funny (the conversations between Bilbo and Gollum were a prime example of how great the writing is), all the jokes had me laughing, the battle scenes and special effects were very well done (although most of the battles aren't big in scope), and in the end, all these factors came together to make The Hobbit a truly satisfying experience from beginning to end. It was a delight to watch, and I had a smile on my face throughout the entire film

The movie was two hours and forty nine minutes, but time flew by, and I only say that when I really enjoy a movie. I loved everything about The Hobbit, and now I'm definitely going to watch the Lord of The Rings trilogy!Watch The Hobbit people! It's a perfect fantasy movie! It's epic and memorable, trust me! Don't listen to all the negative reviews.I have nothing bad to say.

The Hobbit gets an A+ from me, the highest score I could give to a movie.

    Thanks for reading
