All About lstinwonderland

The time has come," the Walrus said,
"To talk of many things:
Of shoes--and ships--and sealing-wax--
Of cabbages--and kings--
And why the sea is boiling hot--
And whether pigs have wings."

    Decison '08 (Concerning Gone Dark)

No, this is not about the elections in November , but rather, "Gone Dark" which will occur tomorrow. I've read this is a petition, or more of protest to get tv.com to return to its old look by having large numbers of members not log in on a certain date. I don't know if this official and the staff of tv.com are aware of this or it just a random date members choose out of a hat. I personally can not see this going far. The new site took time, effort and money to create and to go back to the old style would most likely be a huge loss and failure for tv.com. I do however see the new site as unfit and a downgrade from the previous version putting the display of ads before the efficiency of the actual site. I am asking you all if you will be participating in this and whether or not you feel it will actually make a difference.

    Gas for the Needy

My poor little state located on the east coast is out of gas. Every station I pass has a familiar look to it now. Zeros where the prices should be and every pump with a yellow plastic bag over it that reads, "No Service." Those stations that do have gas have cars lined up out into the streets. Its a depressing thought to worry if you will be able to drive to school next week. Its all because of Hurricane Ike. Houston oil refineries and many other oil refineries are out of power or shut down for other reasons and gas can't be shipped here. Its a shame that because of this problem many of the gas station owners took advantage of the times and gouged prices so people ended up paying 5.00 dollars a gallon. So for now imagine me sitting by my car, looking inferior holding out my gas can saying, "Gas for the needy?"
