My first thoughts of Lost Odyssey

    Dear all,

It has been a long time since my last update, but after almost a year I am back.

Two months ago I bought an Xbox 360, and with I got Assassins Creed, which was an amazing game...till it ceased to work. And then I got the Orange Box, finished it, and also Guitar Hero 2 which keeps me occupied for hours on end.

And just this last week I bought Lost Odyssey. That thing that attracted me to lost Odyssey was the cover. It looked amazing, and the fact that written under the title was 'From the makers of Final Fantasy' was the selling point. I must have the game. So I did.

After 18 hours of playing I am on disc 2, and would like to tell you my first thoughts.

I do like the game, the pacing at the start is slow, but that is to be expected. The first cutscene is amazing, the graphics and the fact that everything seems to setup for a good world. However it takes a while for you to be told what is actually going on, and it isn't till the end of disc one, start of disc two, that everything starts to pave a path for you to follow.

The dialogue is quite good, the best VA being Jansen, his dialogue comes naturally, and I understand this is because of much ad-libbing and such. Kaim, the main character, is a Squall type character, so he doesn't really speak that much, and has the broody hero thing going on.

My biggest love is the boss battles, because I know no matter how much I train up, they will always have an advantage over you, and you must strategise to stop that advantage. The first boss so far has been the hardest, with it taking me at least five tries to realise what I was doing wrong and then...it was done.

So far it has been fun, and with only 18 hours clocked, and the storyline still having a long way to go, I know I won't be finished very soon.

    Prison Break: Season 2 End

I just want to say, wow, what an ending.  It did indeed show a somewhat end twist for every character.  I am sorry but there will be spoilers.

    Michael:

At the start of the episode he is saving his brother from Mahone, who captured him.  Mahone wants the boat and the money and he will then let him go, but Michael forms an idea and befriends a boy called Chico, and they go off and talk to a drug lord called DeJesus.  DeJesus suspects him of being a cop, but after searching online, they see Mike is woth $100K.  Mike gives him more cash, and then makes for Panama.  Mahone is given the boat by Mike, but no money.  An argument breaks out, but then Mr Kim appears, his usual smarmy attitude.  Mahine turns the gun on him, however, Kim suspecting a double cross brought agents with him, and they march in.  Lincoln breaks himself free, and knocks one out, Mahone shooting one and snapping anothers neck.  Michael and Lincoln grab the money and escape.  After getting another boat from Chico, Sara appears on the boat.  Mike and her embrace, and she tells them Lincoln is a freeman.  They are happy, and Sara goes to get drinks.  However, the happy reunion is ended by Mr Kim, who trains a gun at both the brothers, but as he is about to kill Lincoln, he is shot by Sara.  He dies, falling into the water.  Sirens are heard and they run, Mike and Sara going through the jungle, Linc split up from them.  They make it to a house where Sara breaks down at killing a man.  He tells her he loves, and they walk out.  Michael holds her hostage with the gun, and admits to killing Kim, whilst Sara argues saying it wasn't him, and he is lead away.  A rainy prison sight is next seen, and Michael is brought out the van, and unchained.  He says Mahone in the same situation, and then is told to enter Sona!  The dark prison corridor is different than Fox River, littered with drugs, tranvestites.  Belick is seen quivering on the floor, naked, and beaten, a muscled man hovering over him.  As he makes it to the end of the corridor and intot he courtyard, the chanting gets louder and then he steps out.

    Lincoln and Mahone:

Mahone holds him captured, handcuffed to a weak pipe.  Mahone phones Kim, leaving a message, then phones his wife and begs her to come down to Panama, and she agrees.  he is excited and wants his life back, no matter the cost.  Lincoln starts to weaken the pole.  When Michael arrives Mahone calls the police saying he saw a Chinese man being killed by two Americans.  After the warehouse, Mahone escaped on the boat and is asking the dock master questions, but the police find drugs planted on the boat by Michael, and Mahone is arrested.  In jail he phones Pam, and tells her to forget about him, hanging up, tears falling from his eyes.

Lincoln escapes the police and makes it to a boat yard, and evades the police, and afterwards heads to the police station asking about Sara.  he is told she just left, and sees her walkign away, and chases after her, another man also follows, but when Linc turns the corner, she is gone.

    Sara and Kellerman:

As Sara's trial continues, Kellerman admits everything, about Lincoln, about the President, about Steadman and about Sara.  She is let go, and Kellerman is arrested, telling her it was good to know her.  She makes her way out, and gets a message from Michael, but when she tries to call there is no answer, so she says she needs to get down there.

Kellerman is put into the back of a police van in orange prison suit, and is told to keep quiet.  The driver acts suspicious and pulls over.  Kellerman knows what it is, and starts talking about the French Resistance faced detah by the Nazi firing squad and they smiled knowing they did their job.  He smiles as the back of the van is pulled open, to face men with ski masks and sotguns.  They shoot into the van several times, Kellerman dying a hero.

    T-Bag and Belick:

Both arrested and put in a jail cell.  They both talk, asking about the money, T-Bag acting cocky as he knows he will get out.  Belick says he thought T-Bag would be caught first, and go down in a hail of gun fire.  Belick is lead away, worried, and tells Sucre if he wants to find Maricruz he needs to help her.  Sucre collapses on the street his wound bleeding badly.   T-Bag is told that he was caught, and will not be let go, and is left screaming.

    Kim and Padman:

Kim and Padman are in a limo, Padman holding up notes saying 'Sona?' and 'We only need one!'  Kim knowing what he means, leaves and heads down to Panama, where he is ultimately killed by Sara.  Padman is called General in a science base, and is told Scofield is captured, and that he will escape a sit is 'in his blood'.  T\o which he replies, 'That is what we want him to do!'

And that raps up, the epic series finale of Prison Break:Manhunt!

Diary of a Moogle: Vaan's Adventure Part 1

    Hey there all,

I have started a new game of Final Fantasy XII, a Vaan only game, and will be posting on here my slow progress through the game.  I have just done the Reks part, skipping most of the cutscenes, but the story seems to make more sense now.

Anyway, long story short, I am hoping this adventure goes well.  I plan to take Vaan into the desert, and then into the Westersands and level up using the Rare Game called Dustia, which I have been told can get him up to level 30 in a couple of hours, so that will be a big help.

I am still unsure wether to kill Guests off, or keep them alive for help.  I guess I could keep them alive for Marks, but storyline I will go solo.

About Marks, I shall attempt them all solo for a time, but I am guessing that after a while they will start to get a bit hard for solo, especially the later ones, Yiazmat, Behemoth, Gilgamesh.

Well, off I go.  Into Rabanastre!
