30Nov 07I have to say \, I'm pretty ticked off about the the entire Jeff being fired thing, he has been such a huge part of gamespot for so long, and he is one of the reasons I have been an addict to this site. I will probably still come here and no I won't boycott CNET (maybe Eidoss) but I just think the entire situation is just really crazy...I'm really going to miss Jeff and everything he did at GS.

I'm finaly building a gaming PC, I have wanted to for a long time but just didn't have a job or money. Now that I'm making decent money I'm building one and man I can't wait. Here is my case that just came in, motherboard is on the way now, and when I get more money I will order more parts.

So I went to the launch party for the new Harry Potter book last night, and all I can say is wow. I guess there was over 1000 people at the store, the place was packed! and its a huge book store. It was almost like going to ComicCon or BlizzCon, so many people dressed up as there favorite character, sweating with ravenous anticipation to get there final fix of Harry and his friends. Yes I got myself a copy, but I just started reading the sixth book the other day, so I wont be reading the seventh for awhile. Thing is... I just have never seen so many people freaking out over one book...man it was a crazy night last night!
Oh yeah and one other thing, the book store (barnes and noble) had cupcakes and they were the best I ever had...SO MUCH CHOCOLATE!

20Jul 07I finally went out and got myself a PS3, now I have all three consoles of this generation! I'm really exited, and I think its an amazing console. As of right now I dont have any games but I never had a PS2 so i borrowed some PS2 games from my girl friend and now theres alot of catching up to do
Resistance will probably be my first buy, but I just have so many titles I just can't wait for! This is great, no more worrying about what exclusives go where, and theres so many good exclusives coming out for all three consoles I just can't wait!- Posted Jul 20, 2007 1:22 pm PT

Man E3 has had a weird kick off (at least for me) this year. Microsoft was super straight forward, RE5 came out of no where and i was super excited about that, I'm glad to see Marathon coming to XBLA, Halo looks great... But where are the future games, I also would have liked Alan Wake, or Fable 2, but all in all I think they did a good job.
Nintendo... I'm still regaining my composure. Ok so Mario Kart with online play, good job, and expected. We now have a better idea on Super Mario Galaxy but at the same time we still dont know alot about it other then you run around planets. Smash brothers... here was it? Ok so it came up for a second or so, but almost nothing??? crazy talk right there. The light gun thing looks kind of neat, as long as they do it right i dont see why that can't be fun or cool. But the big shocker for everyone was there close, Nintendo has a shot for one last big bang to end the E3 press conference, and they end with WiiFitness. *brain explodes* alright, so its yoga, scale, step board, stretch you muscles thing...interesting idea, I wont completely throw out the idea untill i get to play with it for myself.
Last but not least we had Sony. I was very pleased with sony and there conference. The PSP stuff I dont care much for (I'll grab my DS for handheld games) and then they started putting off numbers and i got a little scared, but then they picked right back up and from then on pretty much hit things home. MGS4 is a locked exclusive, UT3 they have timed exclusive (the caught me off guard a bit i figured it would be bigger on PC) Heavenly sword looks great, Drakes fortune looks like tomb raider but way better, and KillZone2 looked nothing like that CG trailer...but holy crap it looked good. When it gets down to it, sony just did a good job at balancing what they showed coming out this year (though alot might not be exclusive) the future games they showed off (alot being exclusive) looked awesome.
So far not a bad start, feels a bit different if you ask me. I think all the companies are still kind of figuring out this new E3 and that had to do with alot of the akward or weird moments. I havent been able to catch alot of the stuff other then some trailers and the press conferences, because i was gone alot today, but i have some catching up time open tommorow. E307 might not be as crazy as other years, but if you ask me...Gamespots still crazy.
